  1. I never really took notice before, but I'm super glad that characters from my YTD mod, as well as the other various expansions, are being used here. Super excited to see what Robert Casey has to offer being paired up with the others. Makes me wish the roster page was never removed though Overall very good read. I also liked the addition of the commentary and transitions between segments, helped flesh out what was happening and give it a 'feel' of a proper wrestling tv show.
  2. Big Tex walked about in the center of The Outlaw H-Q, as the lads called it. Nobody else was around, and he stood in thought. He was waiting, patiently, as he called some of the crew here to discuss next month's show. The door to the warehouse opened, and in came familiar voices. Despite being half their age, Jeff towered over them - even without the boots. "Don, Tim." Tex muttered. "Glad you're here. We're waiting on Dewey and Rick now." They looked at Jeff and then at one another, clearly a little confused. "Mornin', boss." Dewey said as he stepped through the door, followed by Rick Sanders. "Howdy, Dewey. Rick." Jeff tipped his hat at the two men. "I called the four of you here today, because I believe you're the four best minds under my employment." Jeff started, pacing back and forth in front of the two men. "And with that in mind, I'd like you to look over my cards, angles, stories - the whole lot. Don and Tim worked for TWL back in the day, Dewey you've been all over the US, and Rick, you're my go-to for old-school wrestling, being a master of it back in the day, and someone who's been around it his entire career. The four of you are officially my creative counsel, starting today." He stopped pacing and smirked at the men. "So, let's get started, and put together the best damn card for next month. For what I like to call.. the Big Tex Bar Brawl!" The five went over possible matches, stipulations, stories and the whole lot for the next four hours before coming to a unanimous decision on the card for the 'Big Tex Bar Brawl.' The following day, it was posted throughout Albuquerque. OCW: BIG TEX BAR BRAWL INAUGURAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL TEXAS HANGMAN VS. 4. Darn! I hadn't even thought of that. I was initially going to call it "The Outlaw Camp," but decided against that. I'll try my best to do it justice! Glad you're interested, am a big fan of your work. If there's anything you think doesn't suit the product, be sure to let me know (that goes for everyone) - I'm not nor will I ever claim to be someone with tons of knowledge when it comes to classic southern 'rasslin.

  8. Jeff "Big Tex" Griffith sat, alone in the middle of a New Mexico warehouse, a single folding chair beneath him as he stared at the squared-circle in front of him. The ten foot tall ring, a marvelous sight. He smirked, as his eyes wandered to the banner printed onto the apron. "Outlaw... Championship... Wrestling.." He got up off the folding chair, folded it up and slid it underneath the ring. How did he end up here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, one wonders? He would normally be in a venue somewhere in his home state of Texas. Well, it's a long story, one that began back in 2018. One that will become clear as this venture moves on. Jeff inherited $150,000 from his well-off, late grandfather, who passed in 2019. He used it to move himself out to New Mexico, somewhere he felt had a floundering wrestling scene, and opened up his own brand - trademarking several terms and names, and even purchasing an old warehouse. He made some phone calls, and now here he was, finally ready to see the fruit of the past year's labor in action. Outlaw Championship Wrestling's first show was scheduled for next Saturday, the second week of January. Though he was waiting for the first show to properly reveal everything, Jeff was proud of what he had put together. He had a vision, and that vision would be realized. What was that vision? Well, to put it simply... Classic Southern Rasslin', Brought To You By OCW.
  9. <p><strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Personality</span></em></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Know It All</strong>: This worker will always boast about their high intellect. Has a slight natural negative impact on the backstage environment. Positive morale effects are dampened, while negative morale effects are slightly amplified. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Frat Bro</strong>: This worker can mingle with just about anyone, and is great at making friends. (Effect: Frat Bro's find it easier to become friends with workers of different personality types, whether or not they're positive or negative.)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Genius</strong>: Simply put, this worker is a genius. Cool-headed and calm, they always just seem to fade into the background. Has no natural impact on backstage environment. (Effect: Will find it more difficult to be in the presence of 'Know It All's, and may end up in backstage incidents with people of that personality type.)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Where I'm From</strong>: This worker never seems to shut up about their hometown, and as a result seems to be the target of a lot of ribbing or talking-to's backstage. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Flirty</strong>: This worker is naturally flirty with everyone, and will be involved in more positive incidents, as well as negative ones. Has a mildly increased chance to start relationships.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Misc</span></em></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sex Tape Legend</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be a Sex Tape scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Homophobic</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be a Homophobic scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Racist</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be a Racism or Neo-**** scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Loves Paying For The Girls</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be a Prostitution scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Anti-Armed Forces</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be an Anti-Military scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Imperfections Not Allowed</strong>: If this worker is involved in a scandal, it is more likely to be a Mocking The Disabled scandal than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Performance</span></em></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Beauty At Ringside</strong>: When being utilized as a manager, this worker's sex appeal greatly distracts from the in-ring action. 10. <p>Oh, they do? That's cool! </p><p> </p><p> I was just wondering since it seems like younger workers like Dreadnought or Chip Martin never seem to make it out of the single digits for popularity. </p><p> </p><p> Sorry for making a suggestion that's already implemented. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> I've probably just been playing too much WMMA5 as of late to actually notice the smaller changes in popularity of TEW's free agent pool.</p>
  11. Performance Incoherent Babbler: When given a microphone, regardless of whether or not it is scripted, this worker just doesn't seem to make sense. (Effect: When rated on 'Entertainment' skills such as Microphone or Acting, the segment will take a moderate penalty.) Steiner-ism: Despite never making any sense with a mic, the fans just seem to eat up whatever this worker says. (Effect: Angles where this worker is rated on Entertainment Skills will receive a slight bonus.) Horrible Talker, Hot Body: Although this worker can't talk on a microphone worth anything, the people will still care because man is this worker just gorgeous. (Effect: This worker is given a slight bonus in popularity gains whenever appearing on-screen in angles.) Personality Head Of The Locker Room: This worker will always be considered a Locker Room Leader, and will always be the judge of backstage incidents. Gains respect and reputation at a slightly increased rate. Worth My Weight In Gold: This worker is extremely egotistical, and will only be happy when being paid much more than they are worth. Has a natural major negative impact on the locker room morale, and negative morale effects are greatly amplified. No Time For The Little Leagues: This worker will refuse to work for companies rated Insignificant or Tiny. Misc. Born In The Backyard: This worker was a well-known Backyard Wrestler, and as such will have slightly higher caps on their Stamina, Aerial and Flashiness stats, but will have slightly lower caps on Toughness, Resilience and Strength. Star In The Making: This worker's popularity cap is much higher than usual, and can never be lower than 75. Staring At The Lights: This worker's popularity cap can never be greater than 55. Natural Leader: When being booked as the leader of a stable, this worker will gain popularity slightly faster than usual.
  12. To my knowledge, the way the game operates now is that workers who are unemployed do not gain popularity (or for that matter, lose it). I think that it'd add a lot more to long-term saves if it was made possible for unemployed talent to gain or maintain popularity from working the small/medium/large indy shows that occur during saves, based on the size of the event and the importance of wrestling in that region. To prevent it from being overpowered, it should be capped at somewhere around 15-22 popularity, in which a worker would begin showing up at events in other regions/areas they can work in. This could add realism, and help unemployed workers who are unknown have a chance without the need for player interference. On this note, I think that workers who are above a certain age or threshold, or who are in skill decline, should start to lose popularity on a slow, but regular basis - so that the AI begins to do away with them or use them differently. I also think that workers who are released from big companies and are above something like 45 popularity should start to trickle down their popularity the longer they are unemployed, until they hit that 45 mark or 40 or whatever. These could heavily influence the way AI bookers operate and hire, and make every save more unique and give variety to long-term saves, so we don't see a 56-year-old, declining Randy Orton winning at WrestleMania 52 in 2036 against a 55-year-old Kofi Kingston, or vice versa. I'm sure this has been suggested before, and probably in a more coherent manner, but I feel this is something that TEW has ignored for far too long.
  13. Could add to this idea and also say a news incident editor, for everything from random incidents to kenny deaths. It'd spice up the game a lot. After all, only so many wrestlers can have gardening accidents before they begin putting "NOT FOR WRESTLERS" on garden equipment. There's a lot of things I'd like to be able to edit in such a manner. Everything from what workers may say to you through e-mails to the post-match road agent analysis quotes. All these things could use a lot more personality or variety, especially with how much larger databases are starting to become to meet the new roster requirements and such.
  14. Large Rosters made up of talent below age 35 who are unemployed. I like to run star-factory type companies like MAW or CZCW that are considered the launching pad for the young'ns. In terms of what workers I actually hire, I go for a variety. Everyone from Keith Vegas & The Good Ol' Boys or Mercy Michaels to Raphael or the Rock City Stars is welcome, as long as they are unemployed, under 35 years old and have lots to prove.
  15. Hey all. Looking to overhaul this over the next few days, as I've been inactive in updating this extensively for some time. If you guys could help me filter through all the mods and add-ons I've overlooked or missed these past few months, it'd be greatly appreciated. Also, if you believe some mods or add-ons don't need to be on the list (via inactivity or no releases, etc.), please let me know. Same goes for anything that may need to be re-categorized or reorganized in the list. Also, to avoid clogging up here. Please send me any information, modpacks, or requests through DMs/PMs. If you are on the Unofficial Discord, be sure to contact me there too. My Discord username is APersonOnTheWeb#2512, and in the server my nickname is "The Table and The Keith", for I am Keith Vegas' biggest fan, and also a Table. Thank you. -CreeperGav
  16. So, for those who would prefer just the default CVBlue Background, would you be okay with a black and white version of that, to represent the era - like I just put above? (and ease the transitioning process into the 'color' era, which would start around the time workers from CV70s start entering the game.) I'm perfectly fine with making multiple picture packs for different preferences, if need be, as I myself prefer the second and third options out of yesterday's post.
  17. I will ask this: I am trying out several options for the worker pictures to be used for the "Giant Era" up until about 1955 to the 60s/70s. (Kichibei Ishido / Wolfgang Fischer / Clarence Hupp) Which would you guys prefer? One of these for worker pics, or the CVerse Blue background (which is what they currently are in the data)?
  18. Not a substantial update, but checking in here to let anyone who still cares know that I am making slow progress. I got bogged down by real life and such, and a hiatus from TEW2020 after the launch as I had quickly burned myself out from the game from extensive modding (for my personal saves and for other things, such as my diaries and the YTD Expansion stuff), as well as issues I had with some features. I recently started getting back into the groove, and though I can't provide any solid release dates or windows, I would like to at least get a beta of some sort out by the end of 2020. Sorry for the long wait, everybody.
  19. Glad you like it! I actually stopped working on it due to the fact that other pic packs were picking up steam (such as the excellent Trading Cards Pic Pack thing) so never finished it. Although I may take it up again in the future when my plate clears and I can focus more on certain projects.
  20. Our beloved sprout faced boy had been carefully thinking about what to call the soon-to-be-held May event for VCW.. he was having a blockage over it. It was frustrating, to the point he screamed at his mother in the most nasally way possible - and was later given an upclose inspection of a baseball bat to his noggin for his troubles. He almost revealed to his parents that he was running a wrestling promotion! He can't let them find out now! It was way too soon and they'd shut the whole thing down! He has to wait until VCW has grown to become a sensation!... Now, what to call the event for May? He had the card, he just didn't know what to call the show... VCW: UNTITLED EVENT CARD * The Redneck Express VS. The Winning Team * Jason Patterson VS. Jerry Pepper w/ Mya Catalan * Jules Night VS. Wolfie Tagg * Connie Morris VS. Surprise Opponent! [VCW Women's Title Bout] * Sgt. Bubba Lee West & Texas Hangman VS. Roger Monteiro & Wild Red Stallion * Keith Vegas VS. Jay Silver w/ Allison Addison EVENT NAME CONTEST! YOU! The readers may submit what you believe a suitable event name for May would be! Add it on either with predictions or just on its own! The only rule? You MUST include "Keith" somewhere in the event title, to keep the trend of our sprout faced egomaniac naming everything after himself! Whichever one I like the most will be used (and who knows, maybe I'll use others in the future!)
  21. Back from the dead, only to go straight back into the grave: Here's....! VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESENTS... THE BETRAYAL OF KEITH! ....In front of a massive crowd of 89 people.. Finally we're doing something right! Keith Vegas entered the back room of his warehouse for shows and was surprised. The agent known as Vixxen was surprisingly... happy. Like, reeaaallly happy. It was unsettling, she was usually stone-faced or better, just ignoring the stupidity of this all so she could get her $90 at the end of the night. That... that's what she's being paid, right? Who knows. Keith Vegas doesn't. Anyways, Keith Vegas sent her away to do her job, just so he could get away from her. Keith Vegas doesn't like happy people, they make him unhappy. If your name is Keith Vegas, then you were very happy with this bout. Nobody expected such a below average match out of VCW - so Boss Man Vegas himself was surprised! Now, if only the rest of the night holds up the same standard... if only. The not-so triumphant debut of The Redneck Express, or as the fans shouted during the match: The Wifebeater & The Crackhead. They tried, and that's all that matters, and the fans were entertained, but Keith Vegas doesn't care about the fans, or this match. Keith Vegas just wants to be immortalized. A fine showcase of The Hangman's power. Enough to leave almost any man scared. Well, any man smaller than Hangman. Solid!... Or so Keith Vegas hopes. He doesn't know what happened out there, and nobody will tell him. For some reason, though, there's a small group of men in the crowd that look like they just saw the greatest thing ever. Strange. Bravo! Encore! Match of the night! (until Keith Vegas wrestles, obviously. Duh. Are you stupid or something?) The match ends, but strangely enough, Keith doesn't go to the back. Instead, he grabs one of VCW's two working microphones. Oh no. Cover your ears! Take cover! Something! Anything! Get the hell outta dodge! OVERALL SHOW RATING: 20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Predictions: Herrbear: 2/6 DeathZone2: 5/6 ChairToFace: 3/6 and the Winner(s)..... *druuuummmmmmrooooo-, it's cut off prematurely because I can't afford a long one.* praguepride & Zergon, each with a 100% correct prediction!
  22. Having children happens in the game if a female worker is in a relationship (either with someone in the data or outside the data). It doesn't create a new worker, though, it's purely a cosmetic event.
  23. I'm for this sort of stuff (as well as other scandal types that aren't already there) being added into the game as long as they are kept exclusively to the editor, for the most part, or added with codes that can enable/disable them during gameplay for those who don't want this sort of stuff happening.
  24. A majority of the pre-2004 stuff is hazy, like the British scene being non-existant, Australia's history not even being in the data and a bunch of belt lineages only going back to early 2000/late 90s outside of bigger companies like BHOTWG, or the old Territories.
