  7. One of these days in this diary, this should happen to the Fabulous Moolah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynY2begPzoM. That joke came out 45 years ago, and it's somehow still relevant today... Good diary, though, and I like the alternate development of women's wrestling here...

  15. Here are my picks: Armand Dupre, Len Shelly, The Destroyer, Marcel Martel and Ti-Blanc Richard, Judy Arnold, Johnny Valentine, Jacques and Johnny Rougeau ©, and Bruno Sammartino © On a side note, at least this event isn't being held in Detroit, given what's beginning to go on there (in RL and in this diary)--namely, the Detroit Riots of 1967 that began the city's infamous terminal decline... Fun fact: the #1 hit on July 22nd, 1967 (the nearest date to July 24th) in the US was Windy by the Association, while, in Britain, the #1 song was All You Need Is Love by the Beatles and, in Canada, the #1 song on July 22nd was Up, Up, and Away by the 5th Dimension... BTW, love this diary...
  16. My picks: "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Salvatore Sincere Crush Faarooq Asad Owen Hart and the British Bulldog And my pick for Chris Candido's partner: I'm going to go with Chris Jericho, making his WWF debut...
  17. My picks: Margot Bouchard, Claire Lepage, Mae Weston/Sally Vega/Kathy Starr, Georgia Hase, Joan Weston ©, and Renee Martel will win the Mildred Burke Invitational Tournament...
  18. Here's some advice for Moolah and Burke: avoid the cities of Newark and Detroit in July and August of 1967, because there will be...trouble in both cities, to put it mildly (Google the Newark and Detroit riots)... Can't wait to see what's next in this diary, and I hope Moolah fails or things don't go as planned for her...
  19. Here are my picks: Rob Van Dam (there is no way he loses to the Brooklyn Brawler), "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (of course), and "Wild Man" Marc Mero
  20. My picks: Faarooq Assad, "The Mastadon" Vader, The Smokin' Gunns ©, "The Man From The Darkside" The Undertaker, and "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels Good start to your diary, BTW...
  21. Patera and Saito attacked the responding officers after throwing the rock through the window of the McDonald's, one of whom was a woman--that's why they went to prison; I'm surprised one of them didn't get himself shot, as the cops would have been justified, IMO...
  22. Hey, sometimes uncomfortable things have to be talked about, considering the era this is set in (have you ever watched Mad Men? Some of the things on that show make this diary look G-rated).
  23. Why am I not shocked that Moolah is trying something like this shit? (I'm calling it that because that's what it is...) This is going to be interesting, but it could backfire on Moolah (and it couldn't happen to a nicer woman, too)... And my guess as to who Moolah called--June Byers (or someone close to her). (On a side note, Moolah alleged in her autobiography that Byers slept with Mildred Burke's husband to get better bookings.) BTW, here are my predictions (first-time predictor, BTW): West Division Bracket semifinal winners: Judy Arnold and Mae Young East Division Bracket semifinal winners: Mae Weston and Renée Martel Non-tournament match picks: Jan Vallow Sally Vega and Hatfield Hattie AWA World Women's Championship pick: Kay Noble ©
  24. "The King Of Harts" Owen Hart Vs. Rocky Maivia "The Connecticut Blue Blood" Hunter Hearst-Helmsley Vs. "The Master And Ruler Of The World" Sycho Sid "The Bizarre One" Goldust and "The Deranged" Mankind Vs. "Wild Man" Marc Mero and "The Man From The Darkside" The Undertaker (it'll probably be a screwy ending, methinks...) Those are my picks...
