However some support at ringside from Nattie and a momentery lapse of concentration by Murdoch allows Wilson to finally tag in his partner who erupts on his opponents with hard hitting offense, putting Murdoch away with a Powerslam to give The Bulldogs the win. [U]Triple H[/U]: Hey John, I know you don't need to hear this from me, but watch out for Orton. He picked up a thing or two from his time in Evolution with me and Naitch and as far as he's concerned that number one contendership might as well be a bullseye on your chest. [U]Jindrak[/U]: Wrong! Oh I don;t mean everyone, there are exceptions, like your good self, but on the whole I'm less than impressed with what I see here on Raw. I seriously doubt that I'm going to find much in the way of a challenege here... The interview is interrupted by Eugene Dinsmore's music as the crowd cheer for his entrance. [U]Eugene[/U]: No challenge? [U]Jindrak[/U]: Wait a minute aren't you... weren't you... I mean, didn't you have longer hair? [U]Carlito[/U]: Just ignore him Mark. [U]Eugene[/U]: No don't ignore me Mark! You can't find a challenge here on Raw? Well maybe you're not looking hard enough. Here let me help you. ANYONE WANT TO GIVE MARK JINDRAK A CHALLENGE? JTG's unorthodox approach and Smith's raw power keep the more fluid team of Hass and Benjamin from asserting themselves on the match. Cornette isn't recognised as one of the great managers for nothing though and he distracts the ref long enough to draw Smith after him, leaving JTG open to a doubleteam. Benjamin hits the Exploder and the referee counts three. [I]The World's Greatest Tag Team def. JTG & Justice Smith by pinfall at 9:37[/I] [B]RATING = D+[/B][/CENTER] Cornette grabs a mic. [U]Cornette[/U]: Booker T, Goldust, it looks like you boy's time as champs is nearly up! Sylvain Grenier by pinfall at 8:33[/I] [B]RATING = C[/B][/CENTER] Eugene is celebrating in the ring when he is suddenly attacked from behind by Mark Jindrak. Jindrak beats Eugene down relentlessly before calling for a mic from ringside. [U]Jindrak[/U]: Challenge accepted, see you next week! [B]RATING = D+[/B] Randy Orton is backstage with Daffney. [U]Orton[/U]: A cheap attack post match. I expect that from the likes of you Cena: A no class punk who is begging for an education in what it means to be a professional. So you won the Rumble... Big Deal. Beating 29 other men doesn't matter when you haven't beaten the one that DOES matter... Me. Now I was prepared to wait until Wrestlemania to prove I am the better man, wait until March before our paths crossed. But you couldn't wait could you Cena. Your so desparate to escape the shadow that falls not only over you, but over this entire industry, this entire sport! But you can't escape it Cena, you can only struggle and strive and claw and scratch... and fail. At least before you were getting a free pass to Wrestlemania, now? Now all bets are off! Luck positioned Dupree next to the ropes allowing him to quickly break the Venis Fly Trap and ingenuity allowed him to use the ropes again as he quickly rolled up Val for the win. [I]Rene Dupree def. Val Venis by pinfall at 13:34[/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B][/CENTER] As Rene begins his dance in the ring he is interrupted by the voice of Matt Hardy who walks out from the back with a mic. [U]Hardy[/U]: Last week we had a match, a good match I thought. A match that I won. But what happened after the match, well that wasn't so good for me. A video replays Dupree's post match beat down on Hardy. [U]Hardy[/U]: Maybe you'd like to try that when my back's not turned? Maybe you want another match? Well it doesn't really matter what you want Rene because I want another match and I've spoken to Eric Bischoff and he's agreed to book it for next week! You get back to your dancing kiddo because you won't be doing it in seven days time! Hardy walks to the back, leaving Dupree in the ring. The French Phenom isn;t dancing, but there is a faint trace of a grin on his face. Triple H is able to fend Dykstra off for brief spells but is unsteady on his feet from his head injury and is unable to keep on his opponent for long. Kenny gets c*cky however and this proves his downfall as Triple H is able to roll out of the way of a somesault legdrop attempt from the top rope. As Dykstra slowly gets to his feet he is kicked in the gut and planted back down with authority by a Pedigree for the three count. [I]Triple H def. Kenny Dykstra by pinfall at 15:51[/I] [B]RATING = B+[/B][/CENTER] Triple H is barely standing as he is announced the winner. No sooner is his hand raised than he is under attack from Marcus CorVon! The Alpha Male beats Triple H down before setting him in the corner and delivering a viscious Pounce! The attack looks to continue until John Cena runs out to make the save attacking CorVon with stiff punches but the tables turn yet again when Randy Orton joins The Alpha Male on the attack and they are in turn joined by a recovering Kenny Dykstra. The numbers game begins to tell and the faces are beaten down. The heels gloat and prepare to continue their attack when music fills the arena... [I]Ohhhh Shawn![/I] [I][U]JR[/U]: ITS SHAWN MICHAELS! BAH GAWD! [U]King[/U]: What's he doing here?![/I] Shawn Michaels runs down to the ring holding a steel chair and sends the heels into retreat. The Heartbreak kid checks on Triple H in the corner as Cena locks eyes with a smirking Randy Orton making his way up the ramp. [B]RATING = B[/B] [B]FINAL RATING = B-[/B] (And so the star power continues to be boosted :) At least I'm dragging things out of C territory now though the number of Ds throughout did concern me a little...)
