I know what you mean. It makes me sad to live in MN.
I may live in KC now, but grew up in SD, went to school at St. Olaf and lived in Eagan for 10 years after college. I bleed purple and gold. But the Childress era has left me cold and damp so far. Here's hoping TJ exceeds expectations.
LOord..I could've drafted Petersen AND got WB back for snatching up Lee Evans...? Oh, the humanity.
LOL. We would most certainly have been even had you pulled that off.

It's been an interesting round so far. Chicago D/ST While I personally wouldn't draft a D/ST this early, it's not a bad move. And if you're going to get one, you might as well get the best. Adrian Peterson I also would've liked to have gotten my hands on Adrian Peterson, but I don't know if I would have gone this early. He's another potential stud RB who has next to nothing around him. The fact that he'll at least initially be splitting carries with Taylor could hurt him at first, too. But, rookie RBs have a tendency to blow up, so it's not a bad pick by any means. Randy McMichael I actually had to rub my eyes to make sure I saw this pick correctly. WAY too early, if you ask me (which you didn't). Aside from Antonio Gates, I wouldn't use a pick this early on any TE; let alone this one. I'm not saying he won't have a good year, but you could have easily picked him up much later, if not off the waiver wire! But, that's me. If he's the guy you really wanted, then good for you. Come on, Remi!

And if you're going to get one, you might as well get the best.
I thought it was a good pick because he has most of his starters filled out and it's the 6th round..why not? Unless he picks a guy who really breaks out, he will get as much production from the Bears as anyone else in that slot.
Adrian Peterson I also would've liked to have gotten my hands on Adrian Peterson, but I don't know if I would have gone this early. The fact that that Vikes will be terrible in the passing game and he will be facing 8 man fronts most of the year is what keeps him from being a potential monster. Great pick as a 3rd RB and as I said, I would definitely have taken him at that spot.
Randy McMichael I actually had to rub my eyes to make sure I saw this pick correctly.
Randy McMichael is not on the Dolphins. He signed with the Rams this off-season.
You know, I didn't catch that at first, but you're right! On one hand, I think this is a good thing for Astil, as McMichael should be in a much more productive environment now. Of course, they've already got a pretty good receiving group, along with Jackson in the backfield, so McMichael probably won't get too many looks. Still, he has a much better chance to shine in STL then in Miami. On the other hand, McMichael going to the Rams completely negates the reason Astil picked him. To which I say... bahahahahahahahahahahaha! Sorry.

While this draft has been nicely relaxed, I think at some point we're going to need to set up another hard date to finish it up. I'd personally prefer sooner rather than later, but if it has to be the Sunday before the season starts, that's cool too. At this rate we'll be into Week 4 before we finish making picks. :p So can we set up a date, agree to be there, and if you're not going to be there send mjd a list of how many at each position you want so that he can pick for you? And this time only wait a minute if somene is not in the thread so we can pick fast...I mean we will probably only be filling out the bottom 4 in our roster a tthat point. Try and bang it out in an hour or so? yes, no?
