The WWF has been seen as the prime company in the wrestling world. But there has been a sudden change in momentum and it isn't in the favor of the World Wrestling Federation. The emerging company, World Championship Wrestling, has stole a lot of the WWF's thunder. Ted Turner's company has been showing that it isn't hard to bring down a giant. That giant is without the biggest superstar in wrestling history, Hulk Hogan. They have had to rely on people like Shawn Michaels, Bret "Hitman" Hart, and the WWF World Heavyweight Champion, Yokozuna. These superstars make up WWF's "The New WWF Generation", but can the young talent pull WWF out of the dumps? It should be known that Vince McMahon will do anything to claw his way back to the top and boy do I mean anything. Yet that same man has his hands full with allegations of wrestler steroid abuse by Congress. How will the World Wrestling Federation fair in this war, which could very well be for their lives?

WCW had recently dropped backing from the NWA, and because of that they were out to make a name for themselves. Ted Turner was providing unheard of financial backing to the promotion, and a new genius had emerged to lead World Championship Wrestling into this time of great uncertainty. That man’s name was Eric Bischoff. Bischoff had been the color commentator for WCW, but Turner saw that Bischoff had a great idea on the image that WCW would need to take to rise to the top of the professional wrestling world. This perfect mix of money and booking talent could spell trouble for the titan of professional wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation. Added to that is the deep hatred that Ted Turner and Vince McMahon feel for each other, this one could get ugly. The fans could see everything from lying, cheating and swindling, but that just means a better product for everybody. So everybody buckle up, the war is about to begin……

Thanks for all the feedback guys, and good to see that I have a person out there pulling for WCW. Just some housekeeping work before Nick puts up his first Monday Night Raw. This dynasty is using the End of the Golden Age mod by DocStevens from 1993, and it starts in October. Along with our shows we'll be posting news about how the tide of war is swaying, and some ratings to show who the TEW fans are siding with. Hopefully I'll have Monday Nitro in my schedule in a short amount of time so we can have a true Monday Night War. We're glad to have you all aboard, and it shouldn't be too much longer before we are running full speed ahead.

We are live from The Philadelphia Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a sell-out crowd and everyone in attendance will be seeing two great competitors go at it tonight. Calling the matches with me this week, as always, is Mr. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Oh boy, is it great to be here, Vince. I can't say I've had the opportunity to be able to witness the things that are possible tonight. Oh, I think it is time to get this show on the road! Vince McMahon Oh, and if I forgot to mention, Bobby, if Hart does win that match he becomes the #1 Contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Bam Bam used some unmoral maneuvers to get the upper-hand on Neidhart. Bam Bam then continued to dominate the match all the way through. Their technical prowess was too much for The Quebecers. The Steiner Brothers had a lot riding on this match and they wrestled like it. They put their heart into this match, but so much work just so their heart could be ripped out. The match quickly turned from what it was to mockery. The Quebecers would start to cheat minus the cattle prod, but they used their manager, Johnny Polo, to their advantage. Why ask such a stupid question, Todd, if we already know Yokozuna will crush Bret "Hitman" Hart? Yokozuna has beaten everyone in his path. Bret "Hitman" Hart is known for his amazing technical abilities and he showed them off. On the other hand, Yokozuna showed off his dominating power. The crowd was really into this match since it had a lot of hard hitting action and it had some suspenseful moments where it seemed like the end was near for Bret Hart. Bret Hart really did show why he deserves to be fighting for that WWF World Heavyweight Championship and a better case of why he deserves to be champion. There are very few men who can go toe-to-toe with a giant like Yokozuna, but Hart is one of those people. Bret Hart was able to clinch in a Sharpshooter on Yokozuna, but Yokozuna was reluctant to tap. Yokozuna finally broke down and submitted to Bret Hart's signature maneuver. Bret Hart became the new #1 Contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Winner: Bret "Hitman" Hart Time: 8:54 Match Rating: A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Bret Hart starts to celebrate the huge victory over Yokozuna, but that celebration is short ended when Mr. Fuji hops into the ring and throws powder in Bret Hart's face. Yeah, I've never heard him speak either. It was suppose to come off as broken English anyways. Mr. Fuji is American so I just thought I would start to use him as a mouthpiece for Yokozuna since he has better microphone skills than Yokozuna. The segment got a B- so it turned out pretty well. Actually I remember him talking, but it was when he managed other wrestlers.
I thought I would take this time before I post my first show to clear up the situation regarding WCW's title situation at the time of the start of this dynasty as it can be very confusing to people who don't know it's story.
When this dynasty begins in October 1993, the World title picture in WCW is one that is unlike any other promotion on earth. Prior to when this dynasty begins WCW had an agreement in line with the NWA, and thus, they could use the NWA World Heavyweight Championship as their premiere title, which was represented by the Big Gold Belt. After a dispute about booking WCW and NWA split ways and the NWA took the title of NWA World Heavyweight Champion from the champion (Rick Rude), but the WCW kept control of the actual physical belt. They decided to call the Big Gold Belt the WCW International Heavyweight Championship, and that left WCW in the situation they are in now, two world heavyweight championships. Rick Rude holds the Big Gold Belt and is the WCW International Heavyweight Championship, and Vader holds the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and they are both defended separately. So now will this new regime in WCW keep things this way, or will the two titles be unified in the near future? Tune into World Championship Wrestling programming to find out the answer to this in coming weeks.

WCW Saturday Night Saturday, Week 1, October 1993 Taped at Hollywood Sportatorium Hollywood, Florida Attendance: 15,000 (SELLOUT!) This week’s WCW Saturday Night gets underway with Eric Bischoff standing in the ring, ready to address the crowd watching here in Hollywood, Florida as well as the crowd watching around America on the TBS Network. Eric Bischoff Good evening, my name is Eric Bischoff, and I’m here representing the World Championship Wrestling Championship Committee. They have sent me here tonight to let you all know that there will be a number one contender’s match tonight for Rick Rude’s WCW International Heavyweight Championship. The winner of the match will cash in their title shot at the main event of this month’s pay-per-view, Halloween Havoc. And the men participating tonight know each other fairly well I think it’s safe to say. They are…Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat…and…“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bischoff is then cut off by the music of the WCW International Heavyweight Champion himself, Mr. Rick Rude. Rude struts down to the ring with the Big Gold Belt wrapped around his waist, and he tells Eric Bischoff to get out of his ring before he makes him pay for being in it. He snatches the microphone from ringside, then heads into the ring. Rick Rude So it’s either Flair or Steamboat that I’m going to be putting my championship up against huh? That’s fine by me, because everybody in this packed house knows that neither one of those two can even lace my boots. I’m the greatest champion in the history of professional wrestling. I’ve got the looks, I’ve got the skills, and I’ve got the number one championship in wrestling today, the WCW International Heavyweight Championship. And now I’m going to flex my muscles a little and give you folks a preview of what you will see at Halloween Havoc. So bring this curtain jerker out here and let me show him how a real man gets it done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marcus Bagwell w/ Teddy Long vs. Rick Rude Young Bagwell shows a lot of promise, but he was frankly out of his league when he stepped into the ring with a world champion. Teddy Long coached him up on the way down the aisle, but he could only tell him so much. The fans weren’t very into this match because the two seemed to have horrible chemistry in the ring together. The action was dominated almost exclusively by Rude in this one, Bagwell would get a punch or two in here or there, but not enough to stun Rude. After toying with Bagwell for several minutes, and then some time posing to the crowd, Rude hit the Rude Awakening and finished the match off without breaking a sweat. Winner: Rick Rude Match Time: 6:53 Match Rating: C ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cameras go ringside to Dusty Rhodes and Tony Schiavone as they prepare for the next match on the card. Tony Schiavone The WCW Championship Committee seems to be in a match making mood here tonight, because we’ve been handed a note that says that tonight, and then on tomorrow night’s WCW Main Event, they will be evaluating talent to find a suitable opponent for Dustin Rhodes and his United States Championship at Halloween Havoc. Dusty Rhodes That’s right Tony. There’s no secret that I always pull for my son, even if I don’t agree with some of the stuff he’s been saying lately. But I think he needs to good competition to straighten him out, so I’m hoping that a good challenger comes out and gives him a great match. And now we’ll go to the ring where the first of these matches are taking place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cactus Jack vs. Terra Ryzing This match pitted two very different styles. Jack hails from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and is very much a brawler, and Ryzing hails from France, and he will look to out wrestle you. Ryzing started with the momentum as he simply out wrestled Cactus Jack, like he tries to do in all his matches. Cactus Jack only needed one punch to turn momentum back in his favor though, and the technical abilities were thrown straight out the window. Jack threw haymakers all over the place, and Ryzing wasn’t able to get much else going, and Cactus Jack nailed the Double Arm DDT to get the impressive victory in front of the Championship Committee. Winner: Cactus Jack Match Time: 6:34 Match Rating: C+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera goes backstage, where Jesse “The Body” Ventura is standing by with Road Warrior Hawk and Sting. Jesse Ventura Great match there guys. I’m standing here with two of the finest athletes that WCW has to offer. Of course I’m talking about Sting and Road Warrior Hawk. Now Sting, I understand that you have a special message you would like to send to somebody regarding Halloween Havoc. Sting That’s right Jesse. Now you see here, there have been two guys running around World Championship Wrestling like they own the place. You all know who I’m talking about. Sid Vicious, and that sorry excuse for a World Champion, Big Van Vader. You two have been getting your way by bullying around anybody in your path since you got here, and me and my friend Hawk here are prepared to put a stop to it. We are issuing an official challenge to you two for Halloween Havoc. This match will have a special stipulation, but it won’t be revealed until you two step up to the plate. So what do you two say, is it gonna be showtime? Road Warrior Hawk Awwww, what a rush! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WCW Television Championship Lord Steven Regal © vs. Tom Zenk The fans got a treat in a TV Title match here tonight, but they were let down because these two, like the first match, have horrible chemistry together in the ring. They were constantly running into each other and not budging, and both men failed to execute on several of their signature maneuvers. This match was not representative of how good each of them are, they just don’t make good opponents. As for the action, Zenk used his explosive offense when he could, but Regal was ultimately able to take out the legs of Zenk, then lock in his deadly Regal Stretch and force Zenk to give up. Winner and Still TV Champion: Lord Steven Regal Match Time: 10:48 Match Rating: D+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Lord Regal demanded the microphone from ringside, because he had something to say to the American fans who were already showering him with boos. Lord Steven Regal Would all of you dumb Americans hush yourselves so I can speak? Tonight you saw me take out one of your favorites, Tom Zenk. It was really just a nice walk in the park, but isn’t that what every match is like for me, a walk in the park? Why you ask? It’s because I’m the greatest wrestler from the greatest country on the face of the earth. That’s right, you heard me correctly, I am the greatest British wrestler alive today. Name them, I’m better. Even that brute Davey Boy Smith. I could beat him without batting a lash. Now if you’d excuse me, I’ve got better things to do than banter with you inferior Americans. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ron Simmons vs. Diamond Dallas Page These two men also figured to be scouted by the Championship Committee for the title shot against Dustin Rhodes, and they stepped up to the plate and fought each other very hard, knowing a title shot on pay-per-view was up for grabs. Simmons showed why he won the World Title not too long ago as he overpowered the less experience Page. Page is no pushover though, and he came back and proved that he could hang with Simmons. Page then outwrestled Simmons for several minutes. After the two men went back and forth for a few minutes after that Page set Simmons up for his finisher, the Diamond Cutter, but Simmons pushed him away, then spiked him down with his finishing move, the Dominator Powerbomb. Just as that happened though the bell rang, and the fans were informed that this match has come to a time limit draw. Time Limit Draw Match Time: 15:00 Match Rating: C+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cameras go backstage, where Ric Flair has something to say before he enters the ring with Ricky Steamboat. Ric Flair Tonight I get the chance to wrestle my way into a match with Rick Rude for the WCW International Heavyweight Championship, a title that Rude stole away from me last month. But I know that I can’t look past tonight, because me and Ricky, well we’ve had our fair share of great matches in this part of the country. Me and him have had matches that have torn the roofs off places, we’re talking about matches that will go down in history as all-time greats. But tonight I’m very confident that I’ll move past this match, then Rude, I’m coming for you baby. WOOOOO! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Number One Contender for the WCW International Heavyweight Championship Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat As Flair said, these two have had epic battles in the past, but those were in the past, and the Dragon has lost a step or two since those battles due to severe injuries. They still had the crowd going though as they traded hold after hold like they have so many times before, but Flair had the decisive hand up in this match, and the controlled the pace of it quite effectively. Steamboat wasn’t going to just lie down though, and he rallied with some dropkicks, then a big spinning back fist to Flair, taking him down. He then headed to the top, and he flew off for the Flying Crossbody, but Flair ducked it, then rolled up Steamboat and cashed his check for the main event of Halloween Havoc. Winner: Ric Flair Match Time: 12:33 Match Rating: C+ Final Rating: C+
Ouch. Tonight WCW was bitten by the bad chemistry bug. At least now there are two combinations I know don't work. It was kind of bad that I had to find out this way, and then have them ruin my main event, and plus get my butt kicked by Raw in the first week. But it's a long war, and I've got the talent on my roster to turn it around just like that.
Ric Falir vs Ricky SteamBoat gets a C+? While in the real world their series of matches are argued as being the greatest of the modern era?!?! The rating should have been so much better. I'd almost advise starting the promotion over with the same roster and then just follow from their. Bad chemistry between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat is just silly. Probably wouldnt even be a hidden chemistry rating if not for those 2 wrestlers.

The crowd was not up since the two matches with bad chemistry threw them off. Then, ever since Flair and Steamboat had their awesome matches, Steamboat lost a lot of ability. He's nowhere near where he was for those matches, and he's actually pushed as only an occasional wrestler because of it. I'll take this butt kicking for the first round of shows, because I know Rude vs. Flair will blow Hart vs. Yokozuna out of the water.

We could see a blockbuster main event here tonight. Dusty Rhodes That’s right Tony, but don’t forget, the evaluation matches for the United States Championship wrap up tonight, and next week on Saturday Night the championship committee will have an answer to who will challenge my son Dustin for the title. And we get that action kicked off right now with a match between Bobby Eaton and Barry Windham! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barry Windham vs. Bobby Eaton This was a match between two very different men, and it made for an interesting clash of styles. Windham is a former World Champion, and he showed his experience as he used his power advantage of Eaton to gain control. He looked like he would be in the drivers seat the entire way, but Eaton came back with a poke to the eyes, then he wore out the legs of the big man. Eaton then did something very out of character, he headed to the top. Windham quickly crotched him on the top, then headed to the top himself and nailed the Superplex and got the big victory in front of the championship committee. Winner: Barry Windham Match Time: 8:22 Match Rating: C+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cameras go backstage where Sting and Road Warrior Hawk are standing by. Sting then begins to speak into the camera. Sting So Sid, you want to turn the tables around on us by challenging me tonight? Well guess what buddy, I’m accepting your challenge, and when I make you quit after I lock in the Scorpion Deathlock, then at Halloween Havoc, it’ll be showtime! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ole Anderson and Paul Roma vs. The Nasty Boys The Four Horsemen were represented in this match between Ole and Roma, but they were facing a dominant force in the WCW World Tag Team Champions, The Nasty Boys. Roma and Anderson had things going their way for a short time, but the team work of the champions shined through and they were able to show their dominance as they quickly gained the upper hand. After Ole missed on a spinebuster he was quickly isolated in the corner and hit with the Pitstop, and the Nasty Boys earned themselves another victory. Winners: The Nasty Boys Match Time: 5:43 Match Rating: C- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the commercial the music of the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair hit the speakers, and the man himself made his way to the ring, and everybody knew that they were in for some entertainment when Flair grabbed the microphone. Ric Flair It’s a good night in Lakeland, Florida. I’m sure you all saw on last night’s show that I was able to beat the great Ricky Steamboat to gain the number one contendership for the WCW International Heavyweight Championship. The Big Gold Belt baby! WOO! That’s my belt, everybody knows that. And at Halloween Havoc it’s my duty to get that belt off the waist of that no good scum Rick Rude. I’m sick and tired of seeing him coming out here and posing. Everybody knows that he’s got nothing on Space Mountain! So Rick, I just came out here to put you on notice, I’m gunning for you big boy. Watch your back, because you’re in the crosshairs of the Nature Boy! WOOOO! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. Steve Austin Austin may have been out of his element in singles competition as he is mainly a tag wrestler, but he held his own against the very exciting up and comer Chris Benoit. Benoit showed his great technical abilities he picked up in his native Canada, and then in Japan, and he looked very impressive in front of the WCW Championship Committee. Stunning Steve Austin never goes out easy though, and he laced into Benoit on several occasions, and he tried to hit him with the Stun Gun, but Benoit was able to get out of it, then he nailed his Dragon Suplex on Austin to get the big win. Winner: Chris Benoit Match Time: 8:50 Match Rating: C+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Bischoff appears backstage and he has an announcement from the ruling body of WCW, the WCW Board of Directors. Eric Bischoff Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I’m Eric Bischoff, and I’m here on behalf of the WCW Board of Directors. I’ve been sent here tonight to let you all know that at Halloween Havoc we have inked a great matchup. In light of his remarks last night, the WCW Television Champion Lord Steven Regal will put his claim of being the best British wrestler alive as he will face another great British wrestler, Davey Boy Smith. And if Regal still holds the TV Title at this event, the title will be up for grabs! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winner Names Halloween Havoc Stipulation Sting vs. Sid Vicious All the Stingers in the crowd shot to their feet when their favorite star made his way out, but they were quickly silenced when Sid laid him out with a huge shoulder block. Sid powered Sting around the ring, but like he has so many times, Sting got a huge rush of adrenaline and quickly fought back against Vicious. Sting took him down with his world class dropkicks, then headed up top and nailed a double axe handle. He got a little too ambitious though when he charged back at Sid and was met with a huge backdrop. Sid then signaled it was over and he set up Sting for the Powerbomb. He lifted Sting up, but Sting unloaded punches to Sid’s head, forcing the big man to drop him. Sting then got behind Sid and nailed the Scorpion Death Drop and got himself a huge victory. Winner: Sting Match Time: 9:51 Match Rating: B+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Sting was celebrating on the turnbuckles when the WCW Champion Big Van Vader made his way down to ringside. Sting and Vader exchanged blows in the middle of the ring, but all of a sudden Sid got up to his feet and leveled Sting with a big boot. He then forced the Stinger up and drilled him with his nasty Powerbomb. He was then feeding him to Big Van Vader for another powerbomb, but Sting’s partner at Halloween Havoc, Road Warrior Hawk sprinted to the ring, and Vader and Sid took the high road as Hawk helped Sting up as the show came to a close. Anticipation has been surmounting in the arena as there are rumors of a huge main event planned for tonight's show. Then McMahon and Lawler take the time to open up the show. Vince McMahon This is WWF Superstars and ladies and gentleman, we have a huge show planned for you tonight. Our main event will be a part of a huge event that will be taking place over the next coming weeks. The main event for the show will be "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels taking on Tatanka. There will be a lot more riding on this match than just bragging rights. I'm joined by Jerry "The King" Lawler and he will be the man calling the action with me tonight. What do you think of this match, Jerry? Jerry "The King" Lawler It really is a great match, Vince and it is a great opportunity for each of these guys. As you said earlier, there is a gigantic event planned for weeks to come that will really bring some huge action to the World Wrestling Federation. What I'm talking about folks is a #1 Contenders Tournament for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. We will see a bracket in moments, and that match we mentioned earlier, Michaels against Tatanka, that is one of the first round matches in the tournament. If I could put in my opinion, I think Shawn Michaels will have no problem moving on to the next round. Vince McMahon That is right, Jerry, the Michaels-Tatanka match will be the first match of the tournament, but I don't think it will be a simple one for Shawn Michaels, Tatanka is a tough opponent and he won't go down without a fight. We will now reveal the bracket for the tournament, and trust me, this tournament is filled with many people who can be seen as a legit contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Vince McMahon That is it folks, that is the tournament to become the #1 Contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. It is and eight man, single elimination tournament and taking a look at it, a few names jump out at me. Can I ask you, Lawler, who is a favorite for you so far? Jerry "The King" Lawler The people who really jump out at me are The Undertaker, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, and the man who will be competing tonight, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. But, enough about this, it is time for this show to begin! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Perfect is sitting in the ring with a microphone. It seems pretty apparent that he would like to get something off his chest or maybe put something on someone else's. Mr. Perfect It has came to my attention that I'm not seen as one of the top-tier athletes in the World Wrestling Federation, at least not to the Championship Committee. How can you leave someone so perfect out of a tournament when you have guys like Rick "The Model" Martel on it? So I have made the decision to not even fool around with guys like that, because there is another title that has my eye, the WWF Intercontinental Championship. That is why I'm out here, to challenge the current champion, Razor Ramon. So Ramon, what do you say, me and you for the WWF Intercontinental Championhip...tonight?! Razor Ramon's music hits the loudspeakers and the crowd erupts in a sea of boos. Not much respect for the WWF Intercontinental Champion, but can you blame them? Razor Ramon steps out from behind the set and sits up at the entrance with a microphone in his hand. Razor Ramon Whoa, settle down there, Chico! I got to say, I have the same feeling for this tournament as you do, I deserve a spot in the tournament more than anyone. That being said, I am the WWF Intercontinental Champion and I am the best, most popular, and the biggest fan favorite in this company and that is my main concern, the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Mr. Perfect, you should ask yourself are you up to snuff when it comes to being a contender for my title. Well there are some methods that will tell you that and I have one of them, you will be taking on an opponent of my choosing, if you win then you are the #1 Contender for my WWF Intercontinental Title. Mr. Perfect shakes his head in satisfaction as Razor Ramon makes his way to the back. That still leaves the crowd to wonder who Mr. Perfect's opponent will be later on tonight. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Owen Hart vs. Jeff Jarrett A technically sound match between one of the best all-around wrestlers in the business and a fast rising superstar in Jeff Jarrett. This was a good opening match for the show and really got it off to what it needed to go. There was a lot of back and forth action and it got the crowd into it. Jeff Jarrett didn't ruin the match with any dirty tactics or moves, which really helped the quality of the match. Owen's technical background helped him get the victory over Jeff Jarrett. Hart was able to cement the victory with his move The Rocket. Winner: Owen Hart Time: 10:50 Match Rating: B- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ted DiBiase stands with is back turned to the camera. He has a cigar in his mouth and money in his hand. He is dressed in his tuxedo that is laced with gold and has his nickname, "The Million Dollar Man" on the back. He then turns around to the camera, spits out his cigar, and starts to speak. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase Ha ha ha! It is time to get down to business...the big business, baby! I'm "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and you have to know what that means. I'm everything you want, I'm everything you need, I'm the one that you want to be. This rule goes especially for you, Lex Luger! It was announced earlier tonight that you are going to be my opponent in the first round of the #1 Contender Tournament for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. You should know by now that you have no chance at beating me and that I will be the winner of the tournament. That is why I'm putting an offer on the table, when it comes time for our match I will present you with a briefcase holding $25,000, you take it and I save you the beating and I move on in the tournament due to forfeit. I know you won't turn that deal down, Lex, because everyone has a price for "The Million Dollar Man". Ha ha ha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Todd Pettengill is sitting backstage with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Todd is obviously there to ask Shawn Michaels about his match planned against Tatanka. Shawn Michaels seems calm, cool, and relaxed in his sunglasses. Todd Pettengill Shawn, you take on quite an enforcing talent tonight in Tatanka. It is the first round of the #1 Contender Tournament, what are your thoughts on the tournament and what is your plan against Tatanka? Shawn Michaels takes off his sunglasses and looks at Pettengill arrogantly and obnoxiously. He then rips the microphone out of Todd's hands and begins to talk about the subject at hand. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels What do I think of the tournament? I think it is a complete and utter waste of time to be honest with you! Why waste the time and the manpower to name me, Shawn Michaels, the #1 Contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship? I guess whoever is making these matches doesn't care about his guys getting hurt at no cost. It was a waste allowing Bret "The Hitman" Hart become #1 Contender in the first place since I should have been it all along. As for my opponent tonight, Tatanka, you better watch your chin, buddy. There will only be four hits tonight, my foot hitting your face and the ref going 1-2-3! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Men on a Mission vs. The Headshrinkers This was a match between two powerhouse-based teams. These behemoths brawled in the squared circle like men should, but it sure wasn't pretty. Neither of the teams made the match look good and that turned out bad when it comes to match quality. They just don't have the athletic fundamentals to pull off a good match together. With that being said, The Headshrinkers controlled the match and got the victory with a Samu Top Rope Headbutt. Winners: The Headshrinkers Time: 11:01 Match Rating: D- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Steiner Brothers are standing in front of the camera. They seem very angry and it is surely because The Quebeccers screwing them out of a WWF World Tag Team Championship shot. Scott Steiner has the microphone and you know he will express his feeling. Scott Steiner Damn Canadians! I haven't liked you since I was wrestling in Michigan. I used to cross the border from time to time and I have to tell you, I was annoyed by you guys. The Quebeccers, you are no exception, you are two of the most pathetic Canadians I have ever met. Me and my brother had you done for and then your little manager, Johnny Polo, cost us the match. Well don't think that is it for The Steiner Brothers because I have already had it passed. Next week, this same show WWF Superstars, we will be taking you on for another shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championship. Oh, almost forgot, your little lackey is going to be barred from ringside. How do you like that, Rick? Rick Steiner Ruff! Ruff! With the time allowing, it is apparent that Diesel will be Mr. Perfect's opponent for the next match. So if Mr. Perfect loses, that mean he loses his shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Diesel Yes, it is me who will be beating Mr. Perfect tonight and squashing his chances at facing Razor Ramon for his WWF Intercontinental Championship. I know what you are thinking, and no I don't care about being Ramon's tool, I like the fact that he trusts me to put Mr. Perfect in his place. Anyways, I'm on a natural high from being selected to the #1 Contender Tournament. So it is time for Mr. Perfect to get his sorry butt out here and get Jackknifed! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diesel vs. Mr. Perfect This was a fantastic match between two of the most popular superstars in the WWF. Mr. Perfect, perfect technical ability, against Diesel, an overpowering machine. This was a match made in booker heaven and it really did got where it was suppose to. It was a fairly quick match but it did do more than the original purpose was. The crowd was very into it and they got on their feet for almost the whole match. Diesel was no match for Mr. Perfect, though, who finished Diesel off with a Perfect Plex. That makes Mr. Perfect the next contender for Razor Ramon's WWF Intercontinental Championship.
