Eternal Damnation
every superstar i sign for a written contract usually wants a 24-28 month contract with me paying for the travel costs and wants about 5-10% of the merchandise, and around $8,000-$12,000 a month. But i tried to sign RVD and he wanted $25,000 a month. what gives?

shamelessposer
He's got to support his pot habit somehow.
I was going to say that RVD is probably more over than the other guys, but I think I'll go with this answer. keefmoon
I'd hazard a guess that he is more over than the others you have negotiated with. Other factors are probably his personality (I imagine selfish or driven would want more money) or if he is on hiatus they hold out for a lot of money to tempt them back. But safe bet says he is more over (higher popularity).
Eternal Damnation
Dude not even stone cold asks for that much. He has way high pop. probably could be the personality...
arwink
Is Stone Cold set as an active wrestler? Was Van Damm set to On Hiatus when you made the offer? From memory, it costs more to bring a worker back to active competition if he isn't ready to do so.
Rob4590
Stop over thinking it folks - put simply, if he is approx A popularity in your home country, then $25k / month is about the normal salary they will ask for. Simple. :D
Michael Wayne
Austin is retired. RVD isn't.
