SWF: Generation Supreme
Well big man, it goes like this. My feeling is your trying to emulate Raw/Smackdown. So I would have the Legend show have a more streamlined approach. That being having a few angles, even if actually played out perhaps not posted at all. Simulate the matches as being longer. Example= you run a legend show, that has 8 angels, 6 matches. You post maybe what you feel are 4-5 angles, maybe cut out 1 match but post the overall time of the match as being longer than what actualy happened. Bruce takes on Vengence that lasted 15 minutes in your game, but you fib a bit and tell us it went 22 minutes instead. Hope this makes sence. But I trust no matter what you decide it will be great.
That's an interesting idea. With a few rare exceptions, I've been trying to present the shows exactly as they happened in the game, but that doesn't have to be the case. I can either just claim creative license, or justify in that what is shown on TV isn't always the same as what the live fans see... Very interesting thought... As for the Raw/Smackdown thing, yes and no. I make no claim to being an expert on wrestling history, but it seems like the general consensus is that there was actually a fair degree of differentiation between Raw and SD in around 2002. Unfortunately, I rarely watched in around those years, so its tough to say I'm trying to emulate that to any real extent. I can't really accurately recreate what I didn't watch very often. From the very beginning, I wasn't trying to completely copy the WWE with the SWF. The brand split was pretty much a necessity due to my roster size. When it comes to the different brands, I don't see a point to having different brands that offer the exact same thing (as current WWE does). The Supreme brand is basically staying as my original vision of the SWF. Whereas I'm trying to make the Legends brand into what I think Phil Vibert's take on Sports Entertainment would be - still plenty of spectacle and stories, but with a bit more emphasis on the wrestling and a greater variety of wrestling styles. In a way, pushing in on what TCW offers, especially at a time when TCW is at Cult... Edit - there's been a few things I've considered to further differentiate the brands and rejected for different reasons. One would be having more gimmick matches on the Supreme brand, making it seem less serious. I'm not a huge fan of real gimmicky matches, though, so don't expect to see a "Jessie Suspended in a Cage from the Ceiling" match between Gilmore and Remo... Another idea would be to have more to have more "epic" angles on the Supreme brand, stuff like mini-movies and/or "real world" settings. Again, not that much of a fan of those.

The GM wears a smirk on his face as he waits for the crowd to die down enough for him to speak. Eric Tyler: Welcome to SWF Legends. And welcome to what everyone is really anticipating, another edition of Mr. Tyler Says. This gets the expected negative reaction. Eric Tyler: Tonight, I'd like to address a few things for the Under Control 2008 pay per view which is now just two weeks away... The GM trails off and stops. Tyler and his trio of Watchmen are staring up towards the announcers booth. All eyes turn to follow, and its quickly apparent what causes Tyler to stop. Phil Vibert Phil Vibert has left the announcers booth and is making his way down towards the ring. He has a stoic look on his face. Eric Tyler patiently waits in the ring for Vibert to finally climb in, being handed a microphone. Eric Tyler: Well hello, Phil. And what can I help you with? Phil Vibert: You can help me by exercising a bit of authority, Eric. Eric Tyler: What do you think I'm doing? Phil Vibert: Making matches. You think making matches is all there is running the show? Eric Tyler: I think its kind of an important part of running things, Phil. Phil Vibert: Sure. But you cannot ignore the other aspects to running a promotion or a brand, Eric. Such as keeping order. Eric Tyler: I have my watchmen here to do that. Phil Vibert: And they aren't doing much of a job of it. This chaos backstage has to end. Eric Tyler: Chaos backstage? I'm not sure what you mean... Phil Vibert: I think you do, Eric. People getting attacked backstage without repercussions is not acceptable. What Vengeance has been doing for weeks now is not acceptable. Eric Tyler: If you say so. Phil Vibert: I do. Since you apparently lack the backbone to do anything more than make matches, I'll take care of it. From this point on, any member of the Legends brand who decides to violate the charter of the Supreme Wrestling Federation will face penalties, including fines and suspensions. No more actions without consequences, not on this brand. Vibert lets that sink in for a moment, Tyler remains impassive. After a short time, he gives a shrug as if to say that he won't fight that. Phil Vibert: Now, as for the actions of Vengeance, I've honestly had enough. The entire SWF has had enough, not just this brand. Vengeance or Skull DeBones or whatever he wants to call himself has been warned. He has chosen to ignore those warnings and continue with his unacceptable behavior. The Genius Mr. Eisen apparently doesn't care. Eric Tyler apparently doesn't care. I, however, do care. And, d*mnit, I've had enough. So consider this your final warning, DeBones. No more chances. You decide to play the vigilante again backstage and you're out. Its that simple. Vibert stares across the ring at Tyler again, who says nothing. Phil Vibert: Well then, Eric, I'll let you get back to your all-important match-making. Vibert drops the microphone as he climbs out of the ring. Tyler's impassive facial expression gradually mets away, showing his annoyance. He stares at his watchmen, who say nothing. After a long silence, the GM of the brand finally speaks again. Eric Tyler: Well then, since Phil decided to play Mr. Vibert Says instead, I think we'll leave off for this week. The youngster Huntingdon puts up a decent fight but never seems likely to take down the experienced Hall. Huntingdon shows some heart, as he gets tossed around by the big cowboy and then hammered with heavy shots and some nasty lariats. The match lasts a bit longer than it needs to, in part because the fans seem to love the heavy-handed style of Pistol Pete. Ana seems a touch nervous, as she has since her incident with Vengeance. After taking a deep breath to calm herself, Ana begins the interview. Ana Garcia: Ms. Silver, since you've arrived here in the SWF, you've created a great deal of intrigue with talk of your “Silverback's”... No one knows exactly who or what you are talking about... Sara Silver: Which is exactly the way I want it to be, Ana. Information is a resource that has to be controlled, just like any other. Access to information is a form of power, and its one that I know how to wield effectively. Ana Garcia: So you won't give me and the fans anything, Ms. Silver? Even a hint? Sara Silver: Well, maybe a tiny hint. You see, my Silverback's... Sara Silver trails off as she stares at something off-screen. Ana Garcia turns to look as well. What she sees – and it isn't revealed to the camera yet – causes her to screech in fear and bolt. A split second later, a folded chair flies through the set, missing Silver and her bodyguard by a few feet. The agent doesn't even blink, but simply steps away. She nods at Mr. Jackson, who starts to move towards the source of the thrown chair... Another chair flies at Mr. Jackson, but the big bodyguard bats it down. He doesn't back down, but makes sure he's between the masked monster and Silver. There is a momentary staredown from across the set, then Vengeance roars and charges at Mr. Jackson. The two men crash through the back of the set, both trying to throw blows. The GM is seated behind his desk, in animated conversation with Emma Chase. The manager of Brandon James is seated across the desk from Tyler, and James himself is standing near the near. He looks disinterested. Or confused. Or maybe just stupid. Emma Chase: Look, I respect your need to protect yourself, Mr. Tyler. But I need some solid assurances from you about this. Not promises, but I need to know that this is the direction that you are headed. Eric Tyler: Of course it is, Emma. I can't guarantee you that Brandon will be in the Supreme Championship match at Under Control, but it is my plan at the moment. And I can't see any reason for that to change. Emma Chase: That's all I was looking, Mr. Tyler. We need to be on the same page on this if its going to work. Eric Tyler: Agreed, Emma. And please, call me Eric. The two conspirators smile at each other. The smiles are interrupted by an urgent knock at the door. Neither Chase nor Tyler look pleased at being interrupted. Eric Tyler: What? The door doesn't open, but there is a shout through the door asking Mr. Tyler to come quickly. There's no explanation but its clear that its urgent. All three get up and hurry out of the office. The camera follows them a freaked-out security official leads them through several hallways. It takes a moment of running through a maze of concrete hallways, but they come upon the chaos of the interview set. The set is utterly wrecked. Vengeance has his chain out and seems to be threatening to use it on Mr. Jackson, who is standing his ground with a chair in hand. His suit is badly rumpled, but the bodyguard isn't backing down. Sara Silver is still watching, leaning against the far wall with a bemused look on his face. Tyler, Chase, and James stand for a moment, staring at the scene and trying to figure everything out. An army of security officials appears out of a hallway on the opposite side of the room, lead by... Phil Vibert Vibert doesn't hesitate as Eric Tyler did. He immediately takes charge, commanding the security guards to surround Vengeance. Despite their numbers, The Harbinger's size and chain make the task difficult. Mr. Jackson quickly checks on Silver, who nods for him to go back and help the security guards to subdue Vengeance. After a moment, Brandon James heads in to the fry at the urging of Emma Chase. It takes several minutes of chaos, but the legion of security officials finally get Vengeance down and handcuffed. He is lead away at Vibert's urging. Eric Tyler: Where are they taking him? Phil Vibert: Somewhere he can get some help. Eric Tyler: And that would be...? Phil Vibert: What do you care? You haven't done a thing to stop DeBones from acting out since you got here. Don't try to pretend like you care about the man's welfare now, Tyler. Eric Tyler: Well, as the General Manager of this brand... Phil Vibert: I don't give a d*mn what you business card say. Someone has to do something. If you won't, I will. Eric Tyler: That's all fine and good, Phil, but I'm still... Vibert suddenly steps forward and gets right up into Tyler's face. The former werstler seems very uncomfortable with it, but the commentator doesn't back down at all. Phil Vibert: Are you going to fight me on this, Eric? Because something has to be done about DeBones. Eric Tyler: Well, I agree on that. Emma Chase: Very much agreed. Phil Vibert: Great. And if anyone has a better idea of what to do with him...? There is a loaded silence. No one offers up any suggestions. The only person to speak up is still leaning against the wall, across the room. Sara Silver: I may have a suggestion... The security crew begin to clean up the mess of the interview set as Silver saunters over. The scene cuts out before her explanation is provided. Grade: A
Duane Fry: Phil taking charge! Melanie Florence: More authority conflict! More fun! Cameron Vessey and Casey Valentine are obviously not high-fliers and the clash of styles doesn't really work so well time. The crowd simply doesn't seem to care. The Double Deuce duo do pretty well for themselves, but the smooth teamwork of Benson and Bling is simply too much as they eventually take the win. A routine defense for the champion that shows the SWF fans a bit more of what the masked little man can offer. Flash looks good in the match, controlling things for long stretches. He outsmarts Eisen several times, including more than one attempt from Runaway Train to interfere. After a couple of near-pinfalls by Flash, it looks like the veteran might indeed take the upset. He is slowed significantly by a low blow. Then Eisen and Train combine effectively as The Chosen One takes the match outside the ring and slams Flash into the ringpost, then Eisen gets back into the ring to argue with the referee while Runaway Train delivers a Train Wreck to Flash. The powerbomb does wreck Flash, and he's picked apart by Eisen through the final moments of the match. A Silver Spoon Shock neckbreaker allows Eisen to get the three count and the win, to the ire of the crowd. Its Kirk Jameson who looks really good in the match, though, as he unleashes a hellish series of martial arts kicks that almost take Tornado down. The 30-year battles through, and unleashes a few nasty shots of his own on the youngster. It goes back and forth, and then Jameson unloads a nasty headkicks that puts Tornado down and it looks like he's done. The crowd pops when the heel kicks out, however. Tornado battles back, avoiding several of the kick attempts as he locks up Jameson and then nails him with a couple of suplexes. A bit more offense from Tornado and then he manages to hit his Star Maker finisher, which allows him to get the pinfall. This gets a round of appreciation from the crowd, and a thank you wave from Jameson, who is still on the stage as he makes his way to the back. Troy Tornado: Second, I haven't forgotten about either Payne or The Golden Faction. I don't care who makes the match or how it happens, but I'd like a shot at either at the Under Control pay per view. Hell, put me in there against all of them. The Human Storm ain't afraid! The two big men lay into each other with heavy blows and attempt to lay waste to each other. Its a fun match and the crowd loves it, especially when the men trade chops to the chest that clearly carry some pain with them. Neither man can take the other off his feet, despite the heavy chops and punches. After the long exchange, both men are reeling but both men refuse to go down. Texas Pete goes to the ropes and tries a clothesline, but Diaz simply stares him down. After another series of chops from Diaz, the big man delivers a Savage Smash, then a Monster Mash that takes the cowboy off his feet. The crowd loves it. A short time later, Diaz drives Pete's head into the mat with his Ray Gun piledriver and puts him down for the three count. On the outside, Kristen Pearce does not look impressed. It begins with Rich Money and Remo playing golf on what is obviously an expensive and exclusive golf course. They have expensive golf clubs and uniformed caddies. Both are wearing tradition golf attire, but it looks rather ridiculous on the duo as the clothing is painfully tight on their muscular physiques. The first few moments of the video is them golfing around the course. They seem oblivious to the camera. Finally, the SWF World Heavyweight champion takes a moment and addresses the camera. Rich Money: Good evening fans. You might be wondering why the two stars of the Supreme brand are being shown on the Legends brand. That's a good question, kids. The answer is simple – we were asked by Eric Tyler to talk to you fans about what makes the SWF Legends brand so great. Remo: And we were more than happy to oblige. Rich Money: Of course we were. We're helpful people. I'm always willing to take time out of my day full of doing important things to help out the Supreme Wrestling Federation. So is Remo here. Remo: Now as for what makes this brand so great... Um... Rich Money: Uhh... Well, there is all the great wrestlers on the show. Remo: Yeah! Rich Money: And that's important. Because there has to be somewhere for all these old timers to go. Guys like Christian Faith, Chris Caufield, Runaway Train, that Pissy Petey guy... Remo: I think its “Pistol Pete”. Rich Money: Sure, him. Its important that all these old men have somewhere to go to close out their careers. Because we already have all these Generation Supreme kids cluttering up our brand and our show, and that's annoying enough. There's enough people who have yet to accomplish anything in their careers, and we don't need a bunch of men who wouldn't accomplish anything else in their careers. So the Legends brand is very important. Remo: The Geriatric brand. Rich Money: Quite true, Remo. Its also a place where a second-stringer like Brandon James can go and feel like the big dog. Very important. Remo: Where would this federation be without the Legends brand? Rich Money: Cluttered, Remo. Cluttered and old. The video then cuts to the two men golfing. Rich Money nails a perfect drive 300 yards down the fairway. He turns to the camera and mouths the word “Money”. Remo then lines up his shot and shanks it badly, into the water. Still looking calm, he snaps the club in two and heaves both pieces into the rough. His caddie has another driver ready as soon as Remo turns back. The video then cuts to Rich Money addressing the camera again. Rich Money: Unlike many in the SWF, I have a strong respect for the history of this business. So I respect and appreciate what these old men have accomplished. I mean, Christian Faith has held the SWF World Heavyweight championship four times. That's amazing. Even if he only was beating men like Sam Keith and Bruce the Giant to win those titles, its still impressive. Pissy Petey has trained more wrestlers than anyone can count. They've both given a ton to this business. I respect that. In the background, Remo is crouched low over the green, staring at his ball which sits about eight feet from the hole but on a down slope. His caddie is beside him and they are discussing the putt. The caddie is clearly emphatic on what Remo should do. After a moment, the wrestlers nods and readies himself for the putt. Rich Money: So what I'm saying is that the Legends brand is about respect. Respect for how this business was built and those who built it. Guys like Christian Faith and Phil Vibert might not have “it” anymore, but they still deserve our respect. So remember that, kids. It's about respect. As Money talks, Remo makes his putt in the background. He hits to the left as his caddie instructed, but with too much power. The ball slides well around the backside of the hole on the slope and then rolls a good dozen feet from the hole the other direction. The caddie is already trying to say something in his defense before Remo even turns, but Remo doesn't say anything. He just grabs the caddie and drives a knee into his gut. Then he lefts him up and drives him down onto the grass of the green with a Remo Bustero. Rich Money's caddie cheers like a fan, especially when Remo jumps up and celebrates. Rich Money ignores all of this as if it isn't happening. He finally turns and looks at his friend standing triumphant over the wrecked caddie. Money smiles and turns back to the camera. Rich Money: Respect. That's Money. Grade: A
Melanie Florence: Those two seem... entertaining. The crowd is pretty hot after the lull of the previous match, getting vocally behind Robbie Retro. The “Old School” chants break out several times through the match. Robbie's booty-shaking style and size seem to give the technician problems, but the champion is persistent. Time and again, Bloodstone ties Robbie up and slows the match down, but the challenger keeps finding a way out, to the delight of the crowd. There is a big moment when Robbie suddenly turns the offense in his favor, nails the champion with some heavy shots and a big clothesline, then a suplex, then his Murder on the Dancefloor finisher. He gets agonizingly close to the three count but Bloodstone kicks out. Its the champions turn to battle back, and he wears the bigger youngster down, eventually locking on his Bloodstone Mutilation. Retro manges a rope break, but Bloodstone locks it in again very quickly. Unable to power out and unwilling to tap, referee Jay Fair calls for the bell when Retro seems to pass out. Does that mean a one-on-one match instead of a Threefold Threat? No, they put Rocky Golden in the match. The big talker who has accomplished exactly zero since he came here to the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Apparently talking a big game is all that's required anymore...? Faith smiles as the crowd roars their approval. Christian Faith: Now I've always been a believer in being a fighting champion. I don't like to pick and choose my challengers like other champions in this Federation. I'll take on whoever they put in front of me. Because I have faith. Its the approach I've always taken and I'm not about to change it now. But that doesn't mean I don't see what Eric Tyler is trying to do. I'm not getting dumber as I get older, Tyler. Faith stops and smirks for a moment. Christian Faith: I've been with the Supreme Wrestling Federation for nearly two and a half decades now. One that I've never liked but had to accept is Richard Eisen trying to control everything. He might own this company, but he also wants to control everything. He thinks he should be able to control who holds the championship belts in the SWF, and that isn't how this business works. That doesn't stop good old Mr. Eisen from trying to manipulate everything, though. He's a master of it, even if it doesn't always work. Eric Tyler, you are not Richard Eisen. Your attempts to manipulate and control things are weak and transparent. I know that you think if you make me defend this belt every week, I'm going to wear down. I'm old, right? But I'll tell you right now – this will not work. You cannot wear me down. I know it. These fans know it. We have faith! The crowd roars for their champion, on cue. Christian Faith: So keep making me defend this here belt. Every time I put it on the line and retain, it just makes me more determined to keep it. I don't intend to give it up anytime soon, so do you best, Tyler. Frehley seems determined to end things quickly, as he goes for several early pin attempts but to no avail. The match stops dead a few minutes in, as the crowd boos lustily at the sight of Emma Chase leading Brandon James down to ringside to watch the match. Golden takes advantage of the temporary stoppage to crack Faith up the side of the head with a series of shots. The match ends up going to the outside, and the champion Faith gets busted open slightly when his head is driven into the barriers by Steve Frehley. There isn't much blood, but he seems groggy from the shot to the cranium. Frehley and Golden end up back in the ring, battering away at each other. Its clear there is still a lot of tension and hatred between the two. They seem to forget about Faith for a bit, which gives the champ a chance to recover. Faith gets back into the ring in time to interrupt a pin attempt by Frehley after he hits Golden with his Frehley's Comet slam. By the quarter hour mark, its clear all three big men are tiring a bit after each of them has taken something of a beating. The match against heads outside again. Faith is taken out again, double-teamed into a ring post. Then Golden turns on Frehley and smashes him face-first into the ring steps. The former champion is bleeding as well. Referee Ric Young is screaming at the men to get back into the ring, so Golden slides back into the ring just long enough to stop the count. Faith regains his feet outside, and finds himself standing right in front of Chase and James. Emma starts screaming at the champion, who turns to walk away but turns back after a moment. Brandon James gets to his feet. The ref is watching this, and while the ref is distracted, Rocky Golden finds a chair on the opposite side of ringside and smashes Frehley over the skull with it. He then throws The Dark Destroyer back in the ring. The staredown between Faith and James quickly gets heated. In the ring, Golden is covering a prone Frehley. Referee Young looks back and forth between the pin by Golden and the confrontation between Faith and James. When Big Money throws a punch, Young decides to call the match instead of making the obvious three-count for Golden. The match ends in a disqualification due to the punch thrown by Brandon James. Golden stomps around the ring, looking very angry and screaming at the referee. During this time, Steve Frehley recovers and he looks even angrier. Christian Faith is handed his SWF Supreme championship and he climbs into the ring, beginning to pose with the belt while the others are still in the ring. Bad move. Rocky Golden gets up in the champions' face, screaming that he won the match and the belt should be his. Frehley slides out of the ring to grab a chair of his own, climbing back into the ring and trying to go after Rocky Golden. He nearly gets him, too, but Ric Young grabs the chair away at the last second and screams at Frehley. The Dark Destroyer shoves him away and tries to go after Golden again. During this, Brandon James climbs into the ring and tries to go after Faith. Young calls for more officials, who quickly pour into the ring to separate the four men before things can escalate any further. The show ends with each of the four men trapped in a corner of the ring, staring angrily out at the others.
Random thought of the day... change for the sake of change is an annoying thought, especially when there is no logical reason behind the suggestion of change. I've found that creative meetings can fall anywhere on the chart, from painfully boring to outright fun. This particular one was somewhere between frustrating and enraging. How long had we been in the conference room? It had to be under an hour, yet it felt like the entire day. I was stupidly seated at the head of the table, the exact opposite side of the room from the door, so there was no way I could walk out without everyone noticing. If this continued, I would probably get to the point that I simply wouldn't care if anyone noticed. I said little through the meeting, but the creative committee was used to that. Everyone knew that I had the final say on any decisions as well as the responsibility for the repercussions of any decisions, even if Peter Michaels happened to attend a given meeting. As such, the committee was used to me simply listening through many meetings, before making the occasional decision at the end of the meeting, if at all. These full committee meetings were often brainstorming sessions - essentially a lot of sh*t being thrown at the walls to see what would stick... and there was often a lot of sh*t. Today was worse than normal because it wasn't ideas so much as complaining. I realized after awhile that I was barely paying any attention at all. I was spending most of the meeting scribbling in my notebook. For all anyone could tell, I was simply making notes. Instead, I was scribbling down tag line ideas. At a meeting earlier in the week with Richard Eisen, I was told that the big bossman wasn't too happy with me. Not with my overall performance - he was still thrilled how everything was proceeding. He was unhappy with one specific little area - catch phrases and tag lines. Merchandise is a huge money maker for the Supreme Wrestling Federation, whether its stuff that the Supreme Apparel division produces itself, or what is licensed out. Richard Eisen reminded me of something at that meeting, something that is obvious and I never should have forgotten. Quite simply, catch phrases and tag lines were key to selling merchandise. Not for the superstars - they would sell regardless, both the faces and the heels. The stuff didn't even have to be nice, really. But for the midcard guys, it wasn't quite as easy. Some of the charismatic guys or those who had a great gimmick might do well, but many would be lucky to sell a dozen or so shirts at a given show. If you could add a great tag line or catch phrase for that same wrestler, the number of units moved could be multiplied every show. Given that the wrestlers got a cut, they were all for that. So ideally, everyone - be it superstar champion, young jobber, or even a just a manager - should have some sort of tag line or catch phrase that fans could identify them with. Quite simply, I haven't been doing much of a job of creating new ones for the roster and that had to change. So rather than pay attention to the meeting that I couldn't deal with, I tried to come up with ideas. Plenty of them, but few were good. Even the crappiest ideas I had were better than what was being discussed in the meeting. The plans for the brand differentiation have been in place for several months now. We want Legends to have a different feel overall from Supreme, which is barely the case at the moment. The change has to be gradual, though. We don't want to drive fans away by suddenly having Legends not seem like SWF wrestling at all anymore. We had planned this out carefully... yet now Jerry Eisen is wasting everyone's time talking about changing the schedule. To what purpose? That he doesn't seem to know, but he sure has ideas about how to do it! It was difficult not to get frustrated at Jerry. I knew that he was really just exploring ideas, but he had a tendency to get defensive of his ideas and really seem like he was pushing for them, even when its was just throwing ideas out there. And while he was pushing for the process of brand differentiation to be sped up, he had to reason that he could define for the idea. It was similar to what he was convinced that Eric Tyler would bomb as the GM of the Legends brand, which he had no logical basis that he could define to base this conviction on yet he clung to it dearly. He had been proven wrong on that one, as he would be on this one. Thankfully, Phil Vibert was also in the meeting. He had been spending a lot of time of late with the crew from Supreme Legends Video, working on the Danger and Violence Extreme DVDs. I was happy at his presence, as it sometimes seems like Vibert is the only going guy who really completely gets what we're trying to do and will fight to make sure it happens. Its not that guys like Gilmore, Caufield, and even Robbie don't get it, just that they are far more hesitant to speak up and opposite someone like Jerry Eisen. As Vibert and Jerry Eisen debated the merits to simplifying current storylines, I wished I had brought my laptop in with my. I could be surfing the Grey Dog Wrestling forum instead of just scribbling ideas in my notebook. The forum had been fun of late - an online "stable" had been formed called SWF4Life, organized by a post with the handle SWF4Life. Although several members were reformed SWF haters, they were all in favor the current direction of the company. My direction. It was tempting to print out a few of the better posts from the SWF4Life threads and show them to Jerry, but I had my doubts that it would convince him. After about ninety minutes worth of excruciating pain, I called an end to the meeting. Jerry congratulated everyone for a productive discussion, while Phil and I subtly exchanged a "what a waste of time" look. There were no decisions made at the end of the meeting, and nothing had changed. What, then, was the point of that ninety minutes? A long discussion of the possibilities of change for no reason. I had to find a way to reduce the frequency of these meetings... Thursday, Week 4, August 2008 Avatar

Meant to post this yesterday... A huge thank you to everyone for helping get Generation Supreme the March Diary of the Month for the CornellVerse. That still seems weird to get my head around, as there are some amazing CV diaries on this board and I've never really seen my SWF as at that level. Regardless, its a great honor. For anyone who voted, and everyone who has taken the time to read this little project, a heart-felt thank you goes out to you all. A special thank you to those who have contributed to this diary as well - TigerKinney and NoNeck for their advice, along with James Casey, the alt renders from FINisher and all the alt artists, Hakk99 for the PPV logos, and of course Reaper for the custom belt renders. You guys all rule!

These youngsters are the future of the greatest wrestling promotion on earth, and you can see them today. The show saw one of the brightest young star's in the SWF, Ace Newton, defend his Generation Supreme belt against El Leon and Swoop McCarthy. Newton hit his Aces High finisher on the luchalibre star Leon to get the win and retain his belt. Two new tag teams made their debuts - The Playboys and Technical Excellence. Both teams fell to defeat in their Supreme Wrestling Federation bow, but both are young teams with plenty of potential. The main event saw Chris Morrisette win in a solid match against Paul Huntingdon and a surprise guest star - this is a match you had to see to believe, folks! TEW.com Monthly Report: August 2008 Monday, Week 1, September 2008 To help wrestling fans keep up with around the globe keep up with happenings around the rest of the globe, TEW.com offers a monthly report on all the happenings in wrestling. United States
It was a good month on the American pro wrestling scene... so long as you consider yourself a fan of the Supreme Wrestling Federation. It was pretty much all good news for the Eisen's powerhouse. That is simply a continuation of how the whole of 2008 has gone thus far in the SWF. The SWF followed up its fantastic Supreme Challenge 28 in July with an almost-as-good pay per view event with Welcome to the Jungle 2008. The four hour wrestling spectacular was awarded TEW.com's coveted A* show grade. The promotion also saw a couple of debuts, with Tyson Baine playing the monster heel under a leather strap mask as Payne and Japanese legend Pistol Pete Hall. While the impact of Baine/Payne is not surprising, the way that fans have taken to Hall has given pause to many in the business. Former DaVE stars Bryan Holmes and JD Morgan also joined the promotion. Total Championship Wrestling continued to display what many consider questionable decision-making. The lone show in the month of August for TCW was the Hotter Than Hell pay per view. A solid show, it earned a B grade. However, it was considered disappointing to many as the long-awaited Tommy Cornell and Wolf Hawkins match took place in the main event. One of the most anticipated match ups in the entire wrestling world, the result was solid but hardly classic match. A B+ grade match is not usually a disappointment, but with many fans and insiders expecting the long-awaited match to be a certain A* affair, its hard to not see the match as disappointing. To make matters worse, Cornell pinned his former protege clean to retain his TCW World Championship, leading many fans to grow louder in their concerns that the star of TCW is putting his own ego ahead what is best for the promotion. The match also officially ended The Syndicate, a stable storyline that was the hottest angle in America in late 2007 but that many fans feel was wasted with questionable booking through 2008. There was good news in August for the promotion, as NCTV will put TCW Presents Total Wrestling back on the air. This good news could be countered with more problems, as there is talk that the legend Sam Keith is moving very close to retiring from active competition. There are also rumors of locker room problems, with some of TCW's top talent getting envious of former TCW stars like Rocky Golden, Troy Tornado, and Tyson Baine being made global stars in the SWF. The slow climb of the United States Pro Wrestling promotion of Sam Strong continued its gradual ascent. An ascent so slow that some argue no progress is being made at all. Beloved by a relatively small group of hardcore fans, USPW is finding it difficult to find a mainstream audience, even with some familiar faces on the roster. Many industry insiders are beginning to question how far USPW can climb before those familiar faces on the roster are lured away. Through the month of August, USPW put on shows that graded out in the C- to C+ range, including the Apple Pie and Wrestling pay per view grabbing a C+ rating. The main event saw James Justice retain his belt over Big Smack Scott in a surprisingly watchable match. Will the much-hated Big Smack Scott bring enough heel heat to make fans tune in, or will his often-awful skills in the ring drive them away? Strong is taking a risk in featuring the ever-confident and usually-entertaining muscle man, but its one that could pay off. Big Smack Scott was an unlikely hot topic amongst America's cult and regional promotions, as well. The highly-regarded Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling surprised many when the SWF washout Big Smack Scott snagged the Coastal Zone Championship at their Wave of Fury 2008 show, beating fan favorite Fox Mask. The C- show was better than the fare offered by FCW It Tolls for Thee (D+), PSW Revenge (D), and RIPW Lights Out (C-). Those were all ahead of BSC's Wanted Dead or Alive, which grabbed an impressive E+. Then again, if a serious wrestling promotion can't put on a better wrestling show a pure TNA federation, it might be time to pack it in. The mighty TEW.com reviews gave C grades AAA Girls Night Out, NYCW Test of Wills, and MAW The Battle of the Atlantic. The MAW show as probably the best of the bunch, featuring a pair of C matches. Will the return of TCW to the TV sets of wrestling fans change the trends of 2008? Insiders are doubtful, but TCW remain the only promotion in America - and, really, the world - in a position to give the Supreme Wrestling Federation any degree of competition.
Canada
Canada's stalemate amongst its promotions continued. With the Supreme Wrestling Federation pulling respectable ratings on CBN and North of the Border Pro Wrestling not on TV through August, the Eisen's can make a legitimate claim to being the biggest promotion in Canada. That can't sit well with the Stone's or the DeColt's. The DeColt's Canadian Golden Combat had a solid month, putting on a series of decent shows. It didn't really allow the DeColt's to close the gap on NOTBPW, however. The Stone's had a quiet month, putting on their Summer Smash show mid-month. It was hardly the most spectacular of wrestling displays that the Stone's have ever put on, earning a B grade. The main event was another clash between the Stone brothers, with Jeremy and Dan putting on a match that hardly lived up to the classics they have put on in years past. The promotion seems to desperately miss the talents of Johnny Bloodstone and will have to try to find something quickly, as the Stone's have resurrected NOTBPW Championship Wrestling which will now be seen on Canada's Pop! Network. 4C remains a long distance between the big two. The One Night Only show pulled a decent D+ grade. Troy Winner's promotion has a long way to go.
Mexico
The world of lucha libre saw a quiet month in August. It was relatively status quo for Big Three. None managed to offer outstanding fare and none had shows bomb. The TV shows that each promotion now has pulled respectable ratings. However, with SWF showing its ultra-popular SWF Supreme TV on the sizeable TV-Mex beginning in September, things could get interesting. To the surprise of many, the upstart Mexican Hardcore Wrestling promotion signed a deal with El Canal Hombre to debut a show in September. The show is to be called Arte De Luchar and represents a serious step towards making the Big Three a Big Four in Mexico.
United Kingdom
The big story in the United Kingdom was the apparently drop in quality from 21st Century Wrestling. Clearly the class of professional wrestling promotions on the British Isles, 21CW now finds itself struggling. Like many promotions around the globe, 21st Century lost some of its top talent to the Supreme Wrestling Federation. That does not entirely account for the lackluster shows that Jeff Nova's promotion has put on of late. The Best of British Wrestling show in Week 1 was given just an E+ grade. To put that in perspective, the Las Vegas TNA promotion Babes of Sin City put on a show that earned the same grade. The big monthly event for 21CW earned just a D. Its going to be difficult for the promotion to move back up from its current Regional size with such shows. To make matters worse for 21CW, Ring of Fire put on a very solid show with their Attitude Adjustment event. Though barely 200 fans showed up, it earned a C+ grade and featured a B main event of Merle O'Curle defeating British Samurai. ROF could push past the bigger promotion if things continue.
Japan
Japan's biggest story and moment happened on the final day of August, as falling giant Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods chose to take the book away from Haruki Kudo. The story broke late in the day yesterday and details are still sketchy at best. Better known as Hooded Kudo, Haruki Kudo is one of the most respected men in the business. A long-serving star for BHOTWG, he has held the prestigious Burning World Championship three times and is recognized by fans around the world. His decisions out of the ring have been questionable, however, with Burning Hammer losing their coveted National status in recent months due to a high degree of inconsistency in their shows. The promotion has clearly fallen behind rivals Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. Kudo's decision to put the Burning World Championship on Yasuhiko Taira, who has had a lackluster run thus far, is rumored to have sealed his fate. Without the Head Booker position empty, BHOTWG is in a tough position heading into a new tour. It also remains to be seen if the decision will sour the relationship between owner Kaneie Komine and Kudo. Of the promotions on tour through the month of August - Pride Glory Honor Wrestling, 5 Star Supreme Wrestling, World Level Wrestling, and Warrior Engine XXV - the order of the month was inconsistently. All of the promotions, even WEXXV, offered some very shows through their tours but also some less than exciting fare. Pride Glory Honor Wrestling was particular guilty of this. They set a disturbing trend on their Hell Hole tour of having secondary main events outshine the main events. This was painfully obvious in the main events featuring current Glory Crown champion Mito Miwa. The "Pride Warrior's" reign as champion thus far has been more disappointing than his first run in 2005 and 2006. PGHW did see two belts change hands, as Team Toronto lost the Glory Tag crowns to Masaru Ugaki + Ryoma Muruyama and Kozue Kawashima claimed the Historical Japan title. Though the promotion is hardly in danger of falling far at this point, they will likely look to make some changes as they prepare for their next tour in November. One of the more interesting moves in August was Munemitsu Senmatsu leaving Warrior Engine and signing with World Level Wrestling. He made an impact with WLW, as he won the World Level Streetfighting championship. Insane Machine won the promotions Show Stealer belt. It was a solid month for the growing promotion, which continued to win over new fans with its Powerslave tour. August was something of a breakout month for 5 Star Supreme Wrestling. The Joshi promotion is often overlooked, even in Japan. The month saw several A-caliber matches between Sensational Ogiwara and Kit Hatoyama on 5SSW's Wrathchild tour. Inspire's Golden Tour saw Tadiyuki Kikkawa's promotion continue its slow move towards nation with a series of solid if unspectacular shows. Inspire has shown a bit more consistency than most of Japan's promotions through the month, but they were not completely even either. The month of September will be one to watch in Japan. With PGHW, World Level, and Inspire all powering down and Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods on tour again, it will be a chance for the fallen giant of Japan to regain some ground. Golden Combat Grappling will be out on the road again as well.
Australia
While it might not be fair to say that Australia is the most boring region in the world when it comes to professional wrestling... well, let's just say life isn't fair. APW did have themselves a good month as they earned a D+ grade for their Championship Carnival 2008 show.
Retirements + Events
No big names walked away in August, after July saw the legendary Dread walk away. Thunder Hike, little known outside of her native Japan, decided to retire from active competition at the age of 38. Murderous Mikey also left active competition, though few fans are likely to notice. Mexican legend Mephisto left active competition nearly thirty years ago, but he quietly left the business this month. As did Preston Holt, the former wrestler and owner who is far more likely to be remembered for his role in the East Coast Wars. One of the biggest women in the world of women's wrestling - literally - had herself a bit too much fun while in Japan. Gorgon was arrested for an incident outside a nightclub, though no word yet on whether charges will be pressed over the affair.

So Generation Supreme is going to have to take another unfortunate but hopefully short break. My laptop is having a few health issues and needs to visit the laptop doctor to get back to where it should be. I will still have web access and will try to post a couple of things, but I won't have access to the game for that time. I intended to book a few shows ahead in my game before sending the computer in, but it didn't happen. At least I can do some writing to get those shows ready. The diary isn't going anywhere, though. I have so much fun stuff coming up. A few things in the next for months (game time) that I think will be really epic. Its tough staying patient with a lot of it.
That figures, I get mine today and yours goes nuts. LOL.
Hope your enjoy yours. My laptop is only a few months old. Haven't had any real problems with it thus far, then the wireless connection stopped working. I can hardline a connection, but a wired laptop kinda kills the idea of a laptop... I do have a backup laptop, which doesn't have TEW and has a fun tendency to overheat and shutdown randomly. I'll do some planning and maybe a bit of writing, but won't be trying to put any shows together. The good laptop shouldn't be gone long... but you never know... If the delay gets lengthy, I'll have to find a way to do some stuff on the crappy laptop as I don't want to leave the diary sit for long.

SWF.com: Top Ten Monday, Week 1, September 2008 SWF.com introduces a brand new monthly feature, a Top Ten of the Supreme Wrestling Federation roster! The list will appear on the website at the end of each month. The rankings are based off of fan voting on the website and the opinions of several SWF.com staffers. The rankings are based on won-loss records, opponents, match quality, and those intangible "style points". And remember fans - this all just for fun!
1. Rich Money SWF World Heavyweight Champion The SWF World Heavyweight champion only put his belt on the line twice in the month of August, but he successfully defended in both. The defense against Guide was a very good match, but it was the Threefold Threat™ match against Randy Bumfhole and former champion Jack Bruce at Welcome to the Jungle 2008 was a show stealer. The man who calls himself "Hard Cash" won every match this month, including teaming with close friend Remo to defeat highly-regarded tag team The New Wave. Rich Money's month is about as it gets for any wrestler in the Supreme Wrestling Federation.

2. Christian Faith SWF Supreme Champion This one is sure to have many of the legend's fans howling about the injustice of the SWF Supreme Champion only being #2. The 42 year old put his Supreme belt on the line four times through the month. The highlight was an absolute war against Vengeance that was the main event at the Welcome to the Jungle pay per view. So why did Faith lose out on the top spot to Rich Money? Well, he found himself destroyed by The Harbinger after his win at the pay per view, plus he only won by disqualification last week on SWF Legends. Despite the two champions being on separate brands, many fans already see a classic rivalry forming - will we ever see the two meet in the ring, though?

3. Remo The man that many feel could become the face of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, if he ever makes it out his friend Rich Money's shadow. Remo had a great month, winning every match. His peak was beating Angry Gilmore in a match that many believed he would lose at the Welcome to the Jungle pay per view. "The Alpha Dog" is proving to be just that as he tears through opponent after opponent.

4. Jack Bruce It took an un-winnable challenge of Supreme Double Jeopardy at The Supreme Challenge 28 for The Long Island Angel to lose the SWF World Heavyweight championship he held for nearly a year. The former champion had a good month, despite losing matches to Rich Money and Remo, and drawing against Randy Bumfhole. Bruce always puts up an epic fight, even when he falls to defeat, and the fans love him for it.

5. Steve Frehley The Dark Destroyer continued his solid 2008. He only managed a draw against Brandon James at the monthly pay per view event in August, and fell short in a Threefold Threat™ against Rocky Golden and Christian Faith, with the Supreme Championship on the line. Frehley has often found himself on the outside of the world title scene, which is something that hurts his ranking here a touch. His burgeoning tag team with friend Ray Diaz helps, but the duo cannot pursue the SWF World Tag Team championships while on the Legends brand.

6. Brandon James "Big Money" gets this spot mostly on merit, rather than performance. The big man scored three wins this month, but they were only over opponents such as Remmy Skye, American Elemental, and Elmo Benson. James did have a big match at Welcome to the Jungle against Steve Frehley but it ended in a draw. Even with continued wins, James will have to take on some stronger competition to maintain this spot or move up.

7. Angry Gilmore Consistency is something to be admired, and few wrestlers in the Supreme Wrestling Federation perform as consistently at a high level as Angry Gilmore. The Canadian won three of four matches in August, losing to Remo at the pay per view event. A loss that many insiders feel should have been a win. Gilmore's win over youngster Sean Deeley was a particularly good match.

8. Vengeance No one here at SWF.com is quite sure of what to make of The Harbinger. The masked monster scored a pair of wins, over Ray Diaz and Steve Flash. He lost once, to Supreme Champion Christian Faith. Much of his impact in the month of August was felt outside the ring, as Vengeance made the Legends brand fear the very sight of him. The month ended with him being taken away, and no one is certain of Vengeance's status at the moment.

9. Bloodstone SWF Legends Champion Though many questioned how Bloodstone would do in the Supreme Wrestling Federation, the technician has excelled. Since winning the SWF Legends championship belt from Chris Caufield at The Supreme Challenge 28, Bloodstone has put on a series of very good matches. His title defenses against Pistol Pete Hall and Robbie Retro were immense matches. Many feel he has already outshone stable leader Rocky Golden.

10. Marc DuBois SWF North American Champion The 21-year old champion has been on a roll since he claimed the SWF North American championship several months ago. DuBois did lose in the month of August, but it was in a great match against The Long Island Angel Jack Bruce. The youngster successful defending his North American championship belt twice.
Honorable Mention: Chris Morrisette, Pistol Pete Hall, Rocky Golden, Randy Bumfhole, Acid, Antonio, Marquez, Guide, Scout, Ray Diaz, Valiant + Giedroyc

Alright, so I have yet to take my ailing laptop in for repairs just yet, so I figured I would try to take advantage. Going to try to get one more show ready this weekend, but we will have to see happens. Pretty sure I stole the top ten rankings from a diary on here (plus WWE.com). Figured it would be a fun little thing and might even make for a bit of interaction. Hopefully the other writer doesn't mind. Any readers, feel free to criticize or discuss the rankings, or post your own.

News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 1, September 2008 "With ten days remaining before SWF Under Control 2008, there is plenty left to decide. Such as whether Rich Money will consent to face former champion Jack Bruce once again." "At the end of Supreme TV last week, The Long Island Angel Jack Bruce laid out a challenge to SWF World Heavyweight champion Rich Money. A challenge to face him at the pay per view. The champion, Hard Cash, gave no answer. And no answer will be forth-coming this week, as Rich Money will not be in attendance. The champion has an "engagement", so for the first time since Money won the SWF World Heavyweight championship at The Supreme Challenge, he will not appear in front of the cameras of Supreme TV." "Remo is scheduled to be be on the show, tagging with Rich Money's new apparent protege, Ace Newton. Has the SWF Generations champion left behind his Four Kings stable? Are Remo and Money assembling a new "Big Money Incorporated" stable with the youngster Newton? Those questions may not be answered anytime soon. Remo and Newton will face a test as they take on the Los Diablos duo, Antonio Marquez and Gino Montero." "SWF World Tag Team champions Valiant & Giedroyc look set to face The New Wave at Under Control 2008. Before then, they have to take on Steven Parker and Jay Chord, The Heartbreakers." "Chord and Parker's Remember Tomorrow stablemate Marc DuBois will put his SWF North American championship up when he faces Scout of The New Wave. It will be a stern test for the young Canadian champion." "Speaking of DuBois, there is a cue of SWF wrestlers who want a shot at his SWF North American championship belt at the Under Control 2008 pay per view. One of those, Darryl Devine, faces a formidable task as he has to step into the ring against the monster Payne. He is one man I don't envy this week, even after meeting his lovely girlfriend Hannah last week.' "With Scout being the only member of Team Gilmore scheduled, you can expect Angry Gilmore won't be too impressed. The rumor is that the superstar feels under appreciated on the Supreme brand, and he isn't the only one. Richard Eisen already has a "revolución del diablo" on his hands... If the discontent continues, it may grow worse. The main event this week is Joss Thompson taking on another Supreme brand "forgotten man", Chris Morrisette. The man formerly known as a lobster was challenged last week by youngster Sean Deeley, the tag team partner of his opponent this week. I'm told that Morrisette also wants another shot at Payne. It looks like the man has a choice to make. Will he make that choice this week? Don't miss out fans!" Enjoyed the Top 10, a nice additional feature. Payne vs Darryl Devine This is sports entertaiment and you'll want to keep up Payne's mystique as an unstoppable monster and Devine's whiny/angsty gimmick lends itself to him losing his fair share of matches Black Label Fight Club vs Sin Inc (Joe Sexy + John McClean) Sin Inc haven't been winning all that much of late, this is basically there to giv them a win as BLFC are basically jobbers. Cameron Vessey vs Zimmy Bumfhole Competitive 'squash' Art Reed vs Nevada Nuclear The Nuke could with a win after all the hype and Reed isn't so far up the rankings not to do the job here The Heartbreakers (Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Valiant & Giedroycs for the SWF World Tag Team Championship Another succesful defence for the champs Remo & Ace vs Los Diablos (Antonio Marquez vs Gino Montero) Remo's the difference maker here and you'll want him to remain looking strong, Ace continues getting a good rub via his new association with Money & Remo. Scout vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American championship DuBois takes a count out loss or retains in some other chicken-sh!t manner to keep hold of his belt. Payne vs Darryl Devine Payne is still too new in my eyes to lose. Black Label Fight Club vs Sin Inc (Joe Sexy + John McClean) I really like the pairing of these two, and wish they were on screen more. But, I could say that about a lot of the characters you've created. Cameron Vessey vs Zimmy Bumfhole Easily better. Art Reed vs Nevada Nuclear More of a coin flip, mostly picking Nuclear because of his original hype into SWF, and Reed is a good guy to take the fall since he's not high up the card and can wrestle well. The Heartbreakers (Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Valiant & Giedroycs for the SWF World Tag Team Championship I'd be surprised but not disappointed if it did switch here, but I'll go with the champs. Remo & Ace vs Los Diablos (Antonio Marquez vs Gino Montero) I'll be interested to see in a few game months time if Ace's ego will be off the charts. Hopefully not, because you are definitely giving him superstar treatment. Scout vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American championship Love DuBois, good defense here. Joss Thompson vs Chris Morrisette Easy win for the Lobster Man.

They are greeted by a roar of approval and a roar of pyrotechnics. They make their way into the ring. Angry Gilmore takes the microphone. Angry Gilmore: You know, I'd like to think that I'm not a particularly demanding person. I don't walk around the backstage area, demanding this and demanding that. Our SWF World Heavyweight champion Rich Money does that. So does our snot-nosed North American champion, that DuBois kid. I don't have a sense of entitlement like they do. But there is one thing I demand, and that's respect. Guide: Respect! Angry Gilmore: Not just me, but Team Gilmore as a whole. Its respect that we've earned. Match after match, and night after night. Through hard work, sacrifice, and blood. That's the Team Gilmore way and we don't apologize for it. I won't apologize for it. Jessie: Nor should you. Angry Gilmore: So when we don't respect that we've earned... The respect that we've sacrificed for... Well, it gets me a touch agitated. If that show of disrespect came from another wrestler, I would take care of things the way they should be in this business – in the ring. Ring the bell and I'll show you why I deserve some respect! Scout: No fear! Angry Gilmore: No fear is right. I'll step into that ring against anyone. Anytime. Anyone on Team Gilmore will. Hell, we want to. When that lack of respect is coming from management, things don't work so easy. This is three weeks in a row that I haven't been booked for a match here on Supreme TV. How is that right? I don't see other talent being treated this way. So you can understand why I'm a tad bit upset about this, Mr. Eisen. Perhaps you can understand why I'm even a bit angry. Gilmore has clearly got himself worked up. Jessie puts a hand on his shoulder to calm him. Like a switch being turned off, Gilmore is calm again. Before he can say more, music begins to play. The Sin Inc duo take their time about it, stopping on the stage to pose and preen. They show off the latest Sin Inc signature shirts that they are wearing. Finally, the music cuts and they have microphones. Joe Sexy: You know why you haven't been booked, Angry? You really want to know? John McClean: I don't think you want to know, but we'll tell you. Joe Sexy: Its because you kinda suck, Gilmore. John McClean: Well, maybe a bit more than kinda... Gilmore is quickly getting iriate and he doesn't hide it. At all. Jessie quickly grabs the microphone from her husband. Jessie: You two should talk. John McClean: We should. You're right. We're good at it. Joe Sexy: But we didn't come out to tell all these fans what they already know. We came out here to issue a challenge. John McClean: You two – Guide and Scout – against us two. Next week on Supreme TV. Jessie: And what's in it for us? Joe Sexy: Well, you guys talk about facing anyone anytime and anywhere. So is that only at your convenience? Jessie: We're not stupid. John McClean: Maybe not stupid. Just cowardly, apparently. Guide: Not cowards. Let's do it! Scout: You're on! Jessie: Okay, but... John McClean: And just to make things interesting, let's say winner gets the shot at the World Tag Team champions. Joe Sexy: Your number one contender status on the line... Guide and Scout look at each other, while Jessie and Angry just look annoyed. Jessie: No way! Why would we do that? Guide: You want it, you got it! Scout: Let's do it! Jessie: No, wait... Joe Sexy: Accepted. John McClean: We'll see you next week, boys. Smirking, the Sin Inc pair make their way off the stage. Angry Gilmore looks, well, angry. Jessie turns and starts to lecture Guide and Scout, who instead stare up the ramp at their opponents next week. The pretty little brunette seems to be pleading with Devine not to get into the ring with the waiting monster, but Devine will hear none of it. He seems determined as he gets into the ring and squares off with Payne. Devine attacks of the start, throwing himself at the masked monster. Payne simply no-sells the offense that Devine can muster without much reaction, then begins tossing the middleweight around like a ragdoll. The huge man powers through Devine and it looks like its going to be a short squash match. When Payne lifts Devine up for a choke slam, Devine kicks out and nails the big man dead in the chest, then rolls out of the ring. He gets some quick encouragement from Potter, which he doesn't seem to want. When Devine gets back into the ring, he's changed his approach, using his quickness and athleticism to keep away from Payne's attacks. The approach works for several moments, as he attacks his opponent low, then high, then low again. The monster staggers. Devine scurries around the ring, bouncing off the ropes, his opponent, the ropes again, and he finally leaps off the second rope and nails Payne with a big elbow in the form of a Devine Intervention. Payne stumbles back and falls into the corner. The crowd is fully behind Devine. Outside the ring, the confident smirk falls from Adrian Garcia's face. Devine leaps into the corner and tries to hammer away at his downed adversary. That lasts for a just a moment, though, as Payne tosses Devine aside and regains his feet. Devine is slowed significantly by a series of clubbing blows, and the advantage again belongs to the big man in the leather strap mask. A Devil's Hammer is followed up by Hades Bomb, and then a second for good measure. The first pin attempt of the match is successful and Payne gets the win. Payne Wins at 8:42 via Pinfall Grade: B Payne, Darryl Devine, Adrian Garcia, RK Hayes + Hannah Potter Post-Match Attack After he gets the victory, Payne shrugs off the attempt by referee Ric Young to raise his arm. He then goes after Devine again, picking his beaten opponent up off the canvas and continuing to hammer away at the young man. Young's attempts to intervene are to no effect, as he is simply tossed aside by the masked giant. Devine makes weak attempts to defend himself, but it is little against a tide of attack from Payne. Outside the ring, Adrian Garcia barks instructions, while Hannah Potter screams for the beating to stop. When Devine's girlfriend attempts to climb into the ring to try to stop the beating, Garcia motions to RK Hayes, who grabs the slender girl by the arm and keeps her from helping her boyfriend. The needless and unprovoked post-match attack has the crowd hot, and they roar at Payne. There is a pop when Devine ducks under a savagely swung forearm and rolls away. He makes the big man chase him, and tries to slide out of the ring. Payne snags an ankle and drags him back in, so he can continue the beating. Still on his back, Devine lashes out with several kicks that connect, but they do little against Payne. The monster grabs him and lifts him to deliver a chokeslam when the crowd suddenly roars. Troy Tornado Troy Tornado has appeared through the Supreme Gate and he races down the ramp towards the ring. Payne drops Devine and faces the approaching storm. Tornado fires himself through the ropes and into the ring, then hits Payne with a big spear that sends the big man down. Tornado lands on top of him and begins to pummel, while Devine crawls to the far corner. Adrian Garcia barks out some orders, and Payne slides under the bottom rope after pushing Tornado away. “The Human Storm” doesn't follow. Finally released by Hayes, Hannah Potter jumps into the ring to see to her boyfriend. After Tornado watches Garcia lead Payne away, he too goes to check on Devine. Climbing to his feet unsteadily, Devine begins yelling at the duo. He gives Potter a slight shove away when she tries to support him. Though Devine has no microphone, its clear what he's telling them – that they shouldn't have interfered and he wanted to take care of it on his own. Hannah gives Tornado a cute “sorry” look. The Human Storm simply looks unimpressed. Grade: A

Sin Inc vs Black Label Fight Club Blood Bonham and Blood Elderberry do what they do best – job. The duo do their usually approach of going over without looking too weak, their brawling style working nicely off the start before the endless cheating tactics of Sin Inc taker over. Sexy and McClean take endless joy in acts like eye gouges, throat punches, head kicks, groin shots, and continual double teams. The Black Label duo are simply unable to overcome the advantage that Sexy and McClean get from this approach, and Bonham gets pinned after the Sin Inc duo nail him their The Deadliest Sin finisher. John McClean Wins at 7:41 via Pinfall Grade: B-

Rich Money Video Segment A video is show on the Supreme Screen. It starts with some aerial footage of Las Vegas, showing off the city and its sites. Then it focuses on the brand new, recently-opened and much-hyped Ryland Hotel Resort and Casino, the newest mega-resort on the Las Vegas strip. A series of shots of the outside gives way to shots of the inside of the casino. It finally shows a private poker room where several notable celebrities are seated along with a couple of well-known poker professionals. They are seated with Rich Money, looking dashing in a sleek black tuxedo. The video shows him playing for a moment before he addresses the camera. Rich Money: Hey fans, I'm here in beautiful Las Vegas. And you might asking yourself – why are you in beautiful Las Vegas instead of there in the SWF ring? That's a valid question. I'm here for the grand opening of the amazing new Grand Ryland Hotel Resort and Casino. You see, I'm part owner. This week is the official full Grand Opening, and I had to attend. Being the SWF World Heavyweight champion is only part of what makes me so money. There is a short pause as Money looks at his cards and makes a bet. Rich Money: I took advantage of the opportunity to invest in the Grand Ryland because I love Las Vegas. There is just something special about this place. I enjoy the glamor of Los Angeles. I relish the cosmopolitan grit of New York City. I appreciate the efficiency of Berlin. I always have fun with the charms of London. But its Las Vegas I truly connect with. More so than any other city here in America or around the world. Why? There is another pause as the bet comes back to Money. He sees the bet, then raises. The player next to him grimaces a bit. Rich Money: Its simple – money rules the world. Money grins for a moment, watching two other players around the table fold. The river sees another king show up, the King of Spades. Rich Money: I'm not being facetious. Its a simple truth. One that some people accept. Other try to deny it... but that doesn't make it any less of a truth. People may love their family and friends, yet so many will betray everything they love for money. They say that power corrupts, but its money that motivates far more people in our modern age. People live for money, die for money, and kill for money. Money is what makes the world turn. It's what rules the world. And what makes Las Vegas so great is that this is a city that truly and completely embraces that truth. Its a city built on that truth. Its why the city of Las Vegas exists. When one of the other players – a notable TV actor – calls, the players begin to flip their cards. Money watches for a moment, then turns back to the camera. Rich Money: Its that simple truth that makes me feel so at home here in Las Vegas. This place feel so right. Its why everyone from around American and around the world flock here. And no matter how many people try to deny that money rules the world, it is not going to change. When its Money's turn, he throws down a pair of Kings to make Four of a Kind, a winning hand. The rest of the players react, some nodding in appreciation while others look disgusted. Very casually, Hard Cash grabs his pot. Rich Money: Just as Las Vegas proves that money rules the world, The Beautiful Reign is going to prove that Money rules the SWF world. That isn't about to change for a long time. Jack Bruce, you saw fit to challenge me last week. I understand your desire to get another chance to take this belt back. But it isn't happening. Someday, someone might prove capable of ending The Beautiful Reign. But that man clearly isn't you. So when it comes to facing you at the Under Control 2008 pay per view... why? Do you really want to be proven inadequate again? I would think that you would want to avoid the embarrassment that would come from losing to me once again. So if you aren't wise enough to want to avoid that, Jack, let me have enough wisdom for both of us. Since facing me at the pay per view would result in nothing but more pain for you, I'll just say no to your challenge. Money turns back to his poker game with a wry little smile on his face. Grad: A*

Cameron Vessey vs Zimmy Bumfhole As many fans expected, its a “competitive squash” match. Zimmy controls most of the action, though Vessey does not look inept. He just looks overwhelmed by the skill and athleticism of Zimmy. While not as skilled as his brother, Zimmy is still one of the most talented youngsters in the SWF. He shows some of that in this match, but the crowd doesn't really take to it. They cheer for the bigger spots, such as Zimmy skinning the cat, but then quickly quiet down again. There is plenty of activity at ringside as Vessey's tag team partner Casey Valentine and manager Playboy Jake Sawyer are both present, as is Zimmy's brother Randy. The action never goes outside the ring so there is no interference. Vessesy is pinned after a Bumfhole in One frog splash. You're on! Zimmy Bumfhole: Bring it, dudes! Randy Bumfhole: But we have, like, one condition we want. When we win, one of us gets a shot at Rich Money's SWF World Heavyweight championship. A one-on-one shot. Zimmy Bumfhole: Yeah, and... wait, which one of us? Randy Bumfhole: We'll figure it out later, bro. But we get that shot. That's our price. Zimmy Bumfhole: This is our time to shine! Time for the Bumfhole and Generation Supreme to show the world just how good are, dude! Randy Bumfhole: Yeah! The brothers high five and then clear out of the ring. Much of the action involves those at ringside – Nuclear's manager SM York and Dani Nevada, the sort of manager of Art Reed. Both provide distractions for the men in the ring. The Nuke manages to get some heel when he mugs to the crowd a bit, but the fans don't care about Art Reed enough to really get hot at either man. It takes a momentary distraction from York for Nuclear to hit Reed with a Radiation Blast spinebuster, which is followed up by his Fallout Cloud finisher. The Nuke gets the pin. Reed and Nevada both look upset, and they try to argue with referee Jay Fair about the distraction but he isn't listening to their complaints. The mood is a bit somber and there is no interviewer present. Ace Newton: Ever since I was first approached by Rich Money a few weeks back, people have been asking me one question – are the Four Kings done? After I was invited to participate in a six-man tag match with Rich and Remo last week, that question has become much more frequent. In fact, all four of the men here with me – Ash, Cam, Casey, and Jake – all asked me that exact question this week. So I'm you here to give you all the answer. Newton hesitates for a second, as if steeling himself for the answer he is about to provide. Then he gets a hard look on his face and turns to the camera. Ace Newton: The Four Kings aren't going anywhere. So it doesn't matter if you love us or hate us... You better get used to us, because we're going to be here for a long long time. The other three members of the Four Kings and their manager nod and smile knowingly. Ace Newton: You see, the Four Kings are just some stable that is going to have a nice little run and then fade away. No, the Four Kings are more than that. We aren't even just the four most talented and promising members of Generation Supreme. No, we are four friends. And friends stick together, through thick and thin. What kind of friend would it make me if I was willing to just walk away from that? You see, the Four Kings are going to dominate the Supreme Wrestling Federation someday. We might be young and still have a lot to learn before we get there, but its going to happen. Newton pauses for a moment, allowing that to sink in. His stable-mates nod their agreement. Ace Newton: Being mentored by Rich Money is an opportunity that I couldn't pass up. How can you not want to learn from the very best in the business? Everything I learn from Money will end up helping all of the Four Kings. The first thing that Hard Cash taught me was that you don't abandon your friends. Ever. Ace Newton is loyal. So everyone back there hoping that the Four Kings were done... Don't waste your time. Newton flashes four fingers at the camera. His friends do the same, laughing and high-fiving. The youngsters Parker and Chord give them quite a run and its a back and forth match. The Heartbreakers get plenty of offense, and manage to isolate and work over Valiant for awhile. The champions long hair is used against him several times, as the challengers isolate him and try to wear him down. It works to an extent, but he powers out as Chord tries to work Valiant over with holds. He eventually manges to tag Giedroyc in, and the champions take over control of the match. Marc DuBois at ringside ends up in a confrontation with Dawn the Cheerleder, which almost has Parker getting Giedroyc with a quick roll-up pin, but Valiant slides back into the ring to make the save. Valiant gets the pin a short time later after the champions put Chord down with their Desolation Drop finisher. When they quiet down a bit, Antonio Marquez has a microphone. Antonio Marquez: La revolución del diablo has started. Any revolución means blood, and blood is coming. Gino Montero: Blood, ese. Antonio Marquez: The Supreme Wrestling Federation is going to burn, homes. But before the blood comes the gold. Gino Montero: Time to finance the revolución, Meester Eisen. Antonio Marquez: All these fans know it. We know it. And even you know it, Meester Eisen. I deserve a shot at DuBois' North American championship. Not some three-way or four-way match again. One on one. Just me and him. Gino Montero: How about it, Meester Eisen? You really reward performance, ese? The duo wait on a response. The duo nod and the crowd reacts that they, too, agree. Richard Eisen: Fine. You'll get your chance. If you earn it. Next week, you're in a match. You win, you get the shot at DuBois at the pay per view. Antonio Marquez: I'll earn it. I'm a Mexi-Can, not a Mexi-Can't. Ricard Eisen: And if you don't mind, try to keep the graffiti to a minimum as part of your little “revolución” here, if you don't mind. Its Remo and Marquez looking the most dangerous, while both Montero and Newton have their weaker moments and make some mistakes. The match isn't lacking in excitement, though, with the big risks of both Marquez and Montero contrasting nicely with the big power of Remo. Marquez proves willing to brawl with Remo and takes the worst of it. The middle section of match is dominance from Remo & Ace, but Marquez and Montero thrill the crowd by refusing to stay down. They kick out of a number of pin attempts, with some near saves as well. Marquez is taken out of the match momentarily with a Remo Buster outside, then Remo works over the smaller Marquez in the ring. A Remo Buster is followed up by The Destroyer. Newton is brawling outside the ring with Marquez, so he can't make the save in time as Montero is pinned. Remo Wins at 14:02 via Pinfall Grade: B Remo + Ace Newton Post-Match Promo After the match, the Los Diablos duo look unimpressed. They take their time clearing out of the ring area. Remo and Ace remain in the ring, taunting their opponents as they slowly leave. The crowd sure doesn't appreciate it. When they are finally gone, Remo is tossed a microphone. Remo: Time to do a big of talking. I'm not a big talker, but some things have to be said. It seems like a few fans and so-called experts out there feel like I'm not going to reach my “potential” while I'm still working with Rich Money. That I need to “get out of his shadow”, so to speak. Well, let me make something perfectly clear... Remo stares down the camera with burning intensity. Remo: There is no shadow. The only reason I have “potential” is because of Rich Money. Without his friendship, I would be nothing in this business. The man has been my friend since I got here and has never been anything but loyal. And you want me to turn on this man? To betray his friendship and trust? To turn my back on everything he has done to help me through my entire career? What kind of people are you? And what kind of person do you think I am? Remo shakes his head while the fans consider this. Remo: The lack of respect that Rich Money gets in the Supreme Wrestling Federation, and especially from the fans, is disgusting. I have never met a more generous man, with his money or his knowledge. Unlike many wealthy people, Hard Cash gives willing of himself and his fortune. He wants to share what he has with others. Such as bringing in Ace here to teach him what we know. That isn't something Rich and I have to do, but we feel like its the right thing. And does Rich Money get credit and praise for making such a decision? For being so selfless? No, people still find a way to criticize him. It sickens me. Remo looks disgusted, so as to make sure that his point is clear. Remo: So to everyone expecting it and asking for it... No, I will not turn on Rich Money. No, I do not covet his SWF World Heavyweight championship. And even if I did, I still wouldn't turn on the man I am proud to call my friend. Remo drops the microphone and both men slowly make their way out of the ring. Grade: A
Sara Silver: It is certainly nice to see some loyalty in this business at times. The match is built around three things – the cheating of DuBois, the “never-say-die” attitude of Scout, and the presence of help at ringside. DuBois has both of his Remember Tomorrow stable-mates, while Scout has his tag team partner Guide at ringside along with their manager Jessie. Those outside the ring get involved early, as DuBois tosses Scout over the top rope to where his friends are situated and then agues with referee Jay Fair. Guide runs to the rescue of his friend before Parker and Chord can inflict much damage. The match goes back and forth, with both men inflicting damage and keeping the action constant. DuBois shows off the diversity of his skills while Scout shows off both some great brawling and his mat skills. The end sequence is fun, with Scout fighting his way out of several submission attempts by the champion with his Model Solution sleeper. There is a very near pinfall attempt by Scout when he surprises DuBois with his Danger Ahead seated face plant. On the outside, Guide ends up brawling with both Parker and Chord, with Jessie screaming at them. Scout watches the action and looks ready to jump out of the ring to get involved, but DuBois takes advantage of the distraction to grab a Dubious DuBois Pin, his charging roll-up pin that features both plenty of tights and his foot on the ropes for leverage. The crowd is still loud after the last match and they are happy to see the former champion. He climbs into the ring and spends a significant amount of time playing the crowd before settling down and allowing Farrah Hesketh to conduct the interview. Farrah Hesketh: My name is Farrah Hesketh and I'm here with the Long Island Angel, Jack Bruce. Jack Bruce: Thanks, Farrah. Farrah Hesketh: Now, you've requested another shot at SWF World Heavyweight champion Rich Money. His video response earlier tonight was that it “wouldn't be worth his time”. How do you respond to that? Jack Bruce: Money, it's a crime, share it fairly but don't take a slice of my pie. Farrah Hesketh: Uh huh. Jack Bruce: Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today. But if you ask for a rise it's no surprise that they're giving none away. Farrah Hesketh: Okay. Jack Bruce: You can make all the excuses you want, Money, but if you want to prove yourself as a true champion, you have to face me. You know its true. All these fans know its true. Even Richard Eisen knows its true. Its time step up, Money. Be a man. Farrah Hesketh: So you feel that Rich Money is simply avoiding having to face you? Jack Bruce: Money doesn't want any part of the Long Island Angel. He knows he can't face Show Time. I want my belt back, and I'm going to get it. Farrath Hesketh: Alright, well thank you, Jack. The youngster looks dangerous, and he gets plenty of help from his tag team partner Sean Deeley who is ringside for Thompson. Morrisette has no such help. Deeley doesn't get directly involved in the early going, but he sure stays close to the action every time it goes to the outside. That seems to be part of Thompson's approach – getting the match outside the ring. The men batter away at each other and the crowd is clearly behind Morrisette. Later in the match, Deeley does get involved as he lays into a prone Morrisette outside the ring while Thompson has the referee distracted. Morrisette battles through it. Back in the ring, he refuses to stay down as Thompson goes after several pin attempts. Morrisette then battles back, showing great intensity and fortitude as the crowd cheers him on. He even keeps Deeley from interfering, knocking the man off the apron. Thompson succumbs to the pin after getting hit with a pair of Lobster Trap suplexes. Deeley climbs into the ring immediately and tries to go after the victor. The intense youngster is clearly calling out Morrisette, who doesn't do much to respond. Referee Ric Young manages to keep them apart, and it takes several more ringisde officials pouring into the ring to keep the situation from escalating at all. The crowd throws a surprising amount of heat towards Deeley, who plays it up pretty well.
