SWF: Generation Supreme
Haha the Brandon James/Emma Chase segment was fantastic. Great work, BP42.
Thanks. I figured the direction of things between Brandon and Emma would be fun. Good to hear that people are enoying it.
Loved the Chase/Brandon segment. And how is it even your weaker shows turn out gold? I was a little disappointed with Pathlow/Ota, considering that Ota should be a good match for Moneky... but I guess he's more Cruiser than Puro, right? If Holmes, Morgan and the Silverbacks ever faced off, would the Internet melt from the oversmarkiness of it all? And I loved Mel's little aside after Vibert's rant. Nice touch.
And thank you as well, sir. You know, I keep going back and forth on which brand is more fun to book and write. I really did expect the Supreme brand to be the one, but Legends is pretty fun at times, too. Especially with stuff like Emma-Brandon going on. I'm honestly not quite sure what to expect out of Mr. Monkey in the SWF. He's a "big lightweight" which means that his size won't really hold him back. At the moment, he's going to be a tag team specialist but if he starts to get over, I'm definitely open to more. Hell Monkey - SWF World Heavyweight champion... It kind of has a ring to it... I might to have to do the Watchmen against the Silverback's, just to see people's heads explode...

Just got caught up again and looks like I'm back in time to put in predictions for the next PPV. So belated congrats on reaching 1000 posts and nice to see that you're still enjoying the diary...it's probably amongst my top three favorite diaries currently going but the main thing is that you're still into it. The quality as ever has been top notch since I've been away. Just a thought on the Morrisette-Tornado trade. My feeling is that long term the trade will benefit Morrisette more than Tornado. Morrisette was becoming directionless on Supreme, though I thought maybe you were going with him becoming a bit of a whiner and turning heel. Tornado may have his World Title shot lined up for the PPV but I just can't see him being the one to end Money's reign. Maybe you'll surprise us and even if he doesn't beat Money maybe you've got a good program in place for Tornado beyond his match with Money. One last thing, I'm suddenly more interested in Badd Kompany as a team, might have something to do with the goddess that is Hannah Potter ;)

I'm definitely enjoying things at this point. I've fell into a pretty good groove over the past few weeks. Part of the reason that Morrisette started to "float" on the Supreme brand over the past two months (game-time) was the knowledge that he would flip brands. I planned the Tornado-Morrisette swap for awhile - even before Tornado turned - but just wanted to time it right. That was why I had Tornado appear on Supreme TV when Gilmore put together Team Gilmore. I'm glad that it wasn't too obvious where I was going with Morrisette, as I figured people would see through the fact that Morrisette wasn't doing much. The fact that Morrisette felt disrespected, overlooked, and concerned over Generation Supreme is an important little thing as well. I do have plans for both. And there is a good reason why I'm putting Tornado against Money right away, much like there was reason behind Money facing McFly so quickly. Part of the reason for the "soft" brand split was so that I could move workers around as I felt the need. Whether to balance things out or just to add a new element to a given brand, it gives me a ton of flexibility. You don't get that once-a-year shakeup like you do with an annual draft, but you can have some constant shake-ups anytime you feel the need.
I'm glad someone else has noted the absence of Vengeance lately... For a while I started to think I'd missed something and that Vengeance was Payne, but Payne is Baine, so no...
Vengenace is kaybe on a suspension right now due to his backstage attacks. He has been intentionally kept off-screen. I would say more, but there will stuff coming up soon regarding this.

Another great show. Call me what you will but I think my personal fav was the BIG CAT segmant. I wonder what day this week you will hit 30,000 views.

I often skip over The Supreme View, but I read it this week, and will from now on. Whoever you've got writing that (I believe you said it wasn't you), is doing a great job. And reminding us of Monkeypox's brilliant Eddie Peak storyline is just the icing on the cake.

Writing that Big Cat segment was definitely fun, as I said. I have been sitting on it the idea for a good long while, and I was tempted to drag the whole segment to a lot longer. I figured the point came across loud and clear even with it being short, though. The thought of getting to 30k views seems so strange to me. Given that only a few select diaries have hit that number on here... It feels weird to be in that kind of company in any manner... I'm hoping everyone is taking the time to read those, as I think the Supreme View's so far have been fantastic. It is definitely not me writing them. Since we are "maintaining kayfabe" on this one, it would be appreciated if any guesses not be posted in the thread here. If you do feel the need to guess, you can try PM who you think is the writer behind them. If you are correct and they choose to, they can confirm.

TEW.com Monthly Report: October 2008 Monday, Week 1, November 2008 To help wrestling fans keep up with around the globe keep up with happenings around the rest of the globe, TEW.com offers a monthly report on all the happenings in wrestling. United States
Nearly fifteen years ago, the landscape of the American wrestling scene was radically altered when a teenager decided to do what no one felt could be done - take on the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Of course, that kid happened to be a billionaire who spent freely. That free spending allowed this upstart promotion, Hollyweird Grappling Promotion, to sign two of the biggest names in the business. The signing of Dread, Rip Chord, and Sam Strong created a degree of hype that allowed the unthinkable to happen - a brand new promotion getting a TV deal. Thus began what will forever be known as "The Tuesday Night Wars", the epic chase of the SWF by HGC/TCW. A few months ago, the great national war of American wrestling ended at Total Championship Wrestling lost both TV shows and dropped to Cult status. Thus ended the Tuesday Night War. The victory in favor of the SWF is likely going to be the main story of American professional wrestling in 2008. Even though TCW made it back on TV in September, its clear that they are not in position to challenge Supreme at the moment. TCW Presents Total Wrestling is now shown on NCTV on Wednesday, and draws ratings somewhere between half and a third of what SWF Legends does on the same night. At the monent, Total are more realistically competing with Sam Strong's USPW. October was just another fantastic month in a fantastic year for the Supreme Wrestling Federation. In 2008, it seems like everything is coming up Eisen. The month was highlighted by another great pay per view being main evented by a fantastic match between Rich Money and favorite son Sean McFly. Richard Eisen still managed to throw another body blow at TCW, stealing the other half of The Machine's tag team John Anderson, aka Human Arsenal. The brand split continues to be a major success for the SWF team. Total Championship Wrestling managed to create major interest and momentum at the end of September as legend Sam Keith won the TCW World Heavyweight championship that Tommy Cornell held for close to two years. Unfortunately, the Hollywood promotion failed to capitalize on that momentum. Sam Keith never defended his newly-won title on TV. Instead, Total Wrestling was headlined by the likes of Wolf Hawkins, Genghis Rahn, Joey Minnesota, and Joel Bryant. The results were inconsistent, with the shows grading out from C- to B-. Things were a bit brighter for the month-ending pay per view, SWF Threatening Behavior. The show earned a B grade and saw Sam Keith put on a solid display as he defending his belt against Rick Law. The fact that the title match was not the main event, but was instead the six-man tag match of Cornell-Rahn-Ino defeating Johnson-Hawkins-Bryant, tells fans something about Keith's reign. To make matters worse, the promotions tag team division is in shambles. The TCW World Tag Team championship belts were vacated when John Anderson left for the shiny shores of the SWF, abandoning temporary partner Sammy Bach. With one of the half of the remaining top tag team in TCW deciding to retire as Robert Oxford hung up his boots, the titles remain vacant. It was a fairly standard month for United States Pro Wrestling. The shows ranged from D+ to C+, with the only notable change being Golden Delicious winning the USPW Women's championship from Cherry Bomb. Bruce the Giant's reign with the USPW World title continued, as the big man had just once defense - a forgettable win over Warlord Power than earned just a D+ grade. Even Big Smack Scott managed better than that... In the world of the indies, the talk of the month was about New York City Wrestling falling to Local size after a poor monthly show. The NYCW Hazard event earned a D+, ensuring that NYCW lost the regional battle for the month and driving the promotion down a size. It puts the promotion in a tough spot. CZCW Hardcore Halloween 2008 earned a C- grade, with Big Smack Scott retaining his Coastal Zone Championship against former champion Fox Mask. MAW topped that with Where it All Begins Again grabbing a C+ grade. The RIPW Rock You Tonight event graded out to D+, the same as AAA Battle of the Babes. PSW X-Rated grabbed a D grade. FCW Fire in the Belly also earned a D grade, though with 74 fans in attendance as the Puerto Rican promotion hit the South East.
Canada
Once again, little changed in the Great White North. North of the Border Pro Wrestling remained the class of the nation. The Stone family put on shows ranging from C+ to B. The only title change was the introduction of a new lower-level title, the NOTBPW Wrestling Spirit title that was won by Everest when he defeated Craig Great at the promotion's October Obliteration event. The promotion is still trying to recover from the loss of first Johnny Bloodstone and then Sean McFly to the SWF. Not far behind the Stone clan is the DeColt's. Canadian Golden Combat had shows ranging from C- to C+, with the pay per view event CGC Apocalypse earning a decent C+ grade. Those kind of shows will not allow the DeColt's to overtake NOTBPW, but they are not losing ground either. The only real news outside of that was the youngest DeColt brother Ricky deciding to sign a new contract. Canadian Charisma Championship Combat continued to exist, putting on a D show with 4C Presents... Blood Brothers. To use, that makes Troy Winner a winner... for another month, at least...
Mexico
The four-way dance in lucha libre continued. A slight edge was held by South of the Border Pro Wrestling, the only one of the four promotions currently rated as Cult. The shows ranged from C- to B-. Both MHW and OLLIE had shows range from C- to C-, while MPWF won the regional battle for the month with shows ranging from D+ to C+.
United Kingdom
It was a surprising month in the UK, simply for the fact that the smallest of the British Isle's three promotions put on the top show. Ring of Fire's ROF Untouchable earned an unexpected B- grade on the back of a B match between Merle O'Curle and British Samuari that went to a time limit draw. MOSC Survive grabbed a D grade, while 21st Century Wrestling put on 5 shows that ranged from D to D+. If ROF could consistently produce shows of that quality, they could actually challenge American promotion SWF for the top spot in the United Kingdom.
Japan
Things continue to be interesting in the Japanese wrestling scene. No promotion seems quite ready to challenge PGHW for their top spot, but there are certainly possibilities. The unique World Level Wrestling had the best month. The Unholy Tour saw shows grade from C+ to B+ for the lucha-resu promotion. There were plenty of title changes, as KOKI Ishibashi claimed the World Level Show Stealer title and was also part of The Avalanche Effect (with partner The Incredible KOYAMA) winning the World Level Tag Team titles. The World Level Intercontinental title was won by Nariaki Hotimi. It was a solid month for the Cult promotion. Not far behind was Golden Combat Grappling, with the forefather of Japanese wrestling looking to be in recovery mode. The War Machine tour saw GCG have shows range from C+ to B. Toshiharu Hyobanshi dropping the GCG World Heavyweight championship to Takayuki 2000 at the end of the month raised a few eyebrows, as the talented number is notably less popular than the now-ex-champion. The Love to Burn tour of Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods continued the theme of inconsistency for the fallen giant. The shows were decently solid, as they ranged from C+ to B. It made for a similar month as that enjoyed by GCG... but when you consider where each promotion started the year, that's hardly acceptable. BHOTWG's biggest annual show, Night of the Burning Hammers, was a solid B show. Surprise Burning World Champion Chuichi Sanda defeated Samoan Machine in an A-rated match, but it was a B-rated match between Black Magic and Sensational Dragon & Marihito Masuko that main evented, another in a long line of questionable booking decisions by new booker Tasuku Shinozuka. Also maintaining much the same level was INSPIRE, with their Dominance tour seeing nothing of the sort. Much like the rest of the pack, INSPIRE ranged from C+ to B in their show grades. Pride Glory Honor Wrestling were off for the month, scheduled to begin their Dragon Tour in November. The big news from the Kinki-based promotion was the resigning of Glory Crown champion Mito Miwa. Some smarky online fans are questioning whether retaining one of the Glorious Pillars is really a good thing, as Miwa's title reign has been disappointing. He has yet to produce better than a B+ match in defense of the Glory Crown. Given his skills, that is surprising.
Australia
Some outsiders might look at Australia's lone promotion and think that success is guaranteed. Given the relative lack of wrestling talent and indifferent fans, it looks to be a tough road for Australia Pro Wrestling. It was a decent month for APW, as their Super Saturday drew 1,000 fans. It was given a solid D+ grade. Tough road or not, APW does look to be on the right path.
Retirements + Events
The big name, relatively speaking, to retire in October was Robert Oxford. The 47-year old is recognized as one of the premier tag team wrestlers throughout his long career, which saw him capture many tag team titles. After holding the CGC tag titles three times (twice with Sam Keith) and the NOTBPW tag titles twice, he closed out his career with a decade-long run in TCW which saw him hold the TCW World Tag Team titles three times, two of those with Joel Bryant. The only other name to depart the business is Corrine White. If you said "who?", then you get the point.

By the way, are you looking at William Hayes right now? He seems to have the right skills for SWF. He's got Good (thought not great) Star Quality, he's got Good Entertainment, Performance, and Physical Skills, and decent Rumble and Technical skills. Plus, he's not old. It always made me wonder why a guy like him never made it big in the USA.

Hayes is someone any company would like to get, I'd say. His Japanese interests and overness might prevent anyone but SWF getting him at this point, though. I know that even workers with a little more overness in Japan tend to prefer to stay out there. Someone like Hayes, who if memory serves is a lot more over in Japan than the States, would probably be a very hard sell.

William Hayes is a guy I would sign if his deal comes up. To prevent the possibility of signing the entire Cornell-Verse, I have a list of workers I would definitely sign, and he's on it. Not too far below the TCW bunch and Samoan Machine. Skill-wise, Hayes would do very well in the SWF. The problem, as JC points out, is the lack of overness in the US. At least he has a hook to build overness - he has B Entertainment skills. I would probably find a solid tag partner for him with a similar degree of lower overnes and look to build him up somewhat that way. I do think he is signable, though, as I don't think he is loyal to PGHW - unlike Joshua Taylor.

News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 1, November 2008 "What is going to happen on SWF Supreme TV after the heinous attack on owner and brand General Manager Richard Eisen? That is the big question, what everyone wants to know. We should find out tomorrow night on Supreme TV..." "With their new manager Hannah Potter on board, the young tag team tandem Badd Kompany scored their first win of note in the SWF. This week, they look to make an impact in singles action. Joss Thompson will face Troy Tornado, in The Human Storm's first action on the Supreme brand. Sean Deeley faces an even bigger challenge, taking on The American Tiger Sean McFly. Scoring wins in either of those two matches would be the young duo throwing out a warning to the rest of the SWF." "Those two matches won't be Generation Supreme's only chance to sign tomorrow night, as the Remember Tomorrow stable of Marc DuBois will be facing Team Gilmore in six-man tag action. This is a big one for the young stable, as well as Generation Supreme as a whole." "Other Generation Supreme stars looking to make an impact include the promising tag team of Cameron Vessey and Casey Valentine, aka Double Deuce. They take on the big brawlers of the Black Label Fight Club. After making their debut in tag action last week, one of the Keith boys - Greg, I think...? - will be taking on one half of the SWF Tag Team champions, John McClean." "A big question that everyone seems to be asking - what will happen to Richard Eisen's attacker, Payne? I'm told the fate of the masked monster will be decided and announced during the show." Phew, wow I just got through reading all 70+ pages and had to post, great story so far mate. You've got me looking at a bunch of C-Verse workers in a whole other light. I really like the layout to very easy to skim through some parts but not miss anything vital I may use that for my own. :) Again great work! There are some great diaries on here, I wish I had time to keep up with them all.

Troy Tornado vs Joss Thompson Yeah, Joss has no shot. Remo vs Darryl Devine By DQ. Devine snaps and attacks Remo with a chair..of course, it's Remo, so he probably fights back and kicks his ass anyway. The Immortal Bumfholes vs Last Chance Last Chance have none. Must be a spirit breaker for Roberts, to actually get in a position where his team was named that, and then to see it do absolutely nothing. John McClean vs Greg Keith McClean's close to being Main Eventer at this point, right? Can't see Greg winning this. Black Label Fight Club vs Double Deuce Neither have much direction, but Deuce certainly seem to have the most potential, so I give it to them. Remember Tomorrow (Marc DuBois, Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Team Gilmore (Angry Gilmore, Scout + Guide) Team Gilmore haven't shown much team pride in recent weeks, I expect this win to change that. Sean McFly vs Dean Deeley I guess you don't see Sean as being a common enough name for two of them to wrestle each other, eh? :p

Troy Tornado vs Joss Thompson Tornado isn't going to lose on his Supreme Brand debut to a semi jobber like Thompson Remo vs Darryl Devine Poor Darryl Devine he gets dumped by the uber hot Hannah Potter and then he gets destroyed by Remo. The Immortal Bumfholes vs Last Chance Last Chance are basically around to give the Upper Mid-carders and beyond a solid win on the A-Show. John McClean vs Greg Keith Already at such a young age Keith is already more talented than McClean but he has time on his side and giving the Keith's an uber push out of the gate, would only result in them growing huge egos. Plus you to keep McClean who is one half of your tag champs right now looking relatively strong anyway. Black Label Fight Club vs Double Deuce BLFC are basically the low rent version of Last Chance. Where as Roberts and Flex put over upper card talent, BLFC are there to give the Generation Supreme Kids a win every so often. Remember Tomorrow (Marc DuBois, Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Team Gilmore (Angry Gilmore, Scout + Guide) Remember Tomorow ?! Sorry DuBois and pals but Team Gilmore are all about Today and with Gilmore being built as a World Title challenger and the New Wave amongst the World Tag Title hunt, I don't see the youngsters having much of a chance. Sean McFly vs Sean Deeley Deeley is definitely being booked alot stronger than his tag partner but he has absolutely no chance of going over McFly.

Troy Tornado vs Joss Thompson - Surely, -surely- Troy isn't going to lose his debut match on the Supreme brand... surely? Remo vs Darryl Devine - Yeah... I really can't see Devine having any chance at all. The state he's in, he'd probably lose to Ash Campbell. The Immortal Bumfholes vs Last Chance - Who're Last Chance again? Do I remember correctly that it involves Enforcer Roberts somehow? Yeah... they're not winning. John McClean vs Greg Keith - The Keith's have to pick up some sort of win sooner or later, and I can see this being the time, with McClean relying on an interference that's never allowed to happen. Black Label Fight Club vs Double Deuce - BLFC aren't doing a lot ever, Double Deuce have the potential to do a lot in future. So they need to win matches like this. Remember Tomorrow (Marc DuBois, Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Team Gilmore (Angry Gilmore, Scout + Guide) - Some Money-related shenanigens perhaps? I see the youngsters winning, anyway. Sean McFly vs Dean Deeley - Yeah, there's just no way in hell McFly's losing. Maybe, -maybe- a draw or something, but... yeah.

Given the size of this thing now, I can't really say I expected anyone to start from scratch at this point. Glad you enjoyed it. As for the layout, it seems to be popular. But I really don't try to take any credit for originality on it. I just took what others had done and added my own little touches. I love that people seem to associate it with my diary and its so enjoyed. I've never had a problem with anyone using any aspects of my diary - whether its layout, characters, or little details.
You know, I wanted to sign Joshua Taylor, at least on a PPA contract. Other than him randomly ending up with a negative relationship with a major player in the promotion, I'm not sure what else would work. ___________ In regards to the show, I had ambitious hopes of spending much of the evening working on it tonight and possibly even getting it posted. The quicker approach to putting together shows has made that possible and something I've managed a few times now. After an exhausting 12 hour day at work, I'm thinking that won't happen. Gonna start in a bit, but I might be lucky to get the show up to tomorrow. I'll do what I can...

Despite the hatred for all of them that the crowd feels, the reaction is subdued as the fans know why the group is coming out. It is Double E Eric Eisen who takes the microphone and acts as the spokesperson for the group. He starts by saying that he wants to the all the great Supreme Wrestling Federation fans for their concern over his father. Thankfully, Richard Eisen is recovering and he should be fine in time. However, the attack has left the CEO shaken and it may time awhile before he is able to resume his full duties with the SWF. Since the SWF waits on no man, even the great Richard Eisen, changes have to be made. Starting tonight. Eric tells the fans that starting late last week, he and the people in the ring with him tonight have been holding emergency meetings with the SWF Board of Directors to find a workable solution. They have been working to find a suitable individual to serve as the Interim General Manager of the Supreme brand until Richard Eisen can resume his regular duties. There were two primary choices for that role put forth by the Board - Jerry Eisen and himself, Eric Eisen. Unfortunately neither will be able to take the role, at least right now. Eisen says that for Jerry, his brother simply does not current have the "capacity" to take on such a role after the "unfortunate head trauma" that Jerry suffered a year ago. Jerry nods happily at this explanation. For himself, Eric tells everyone that despite being the first choice for the Board of Directors, he simply cannot accept it at the moment. After significant consultation with the Supreme Wrestling Federation Charter, its clear the promotions governing document is clear on that issue – an active competitor cannot hold a position of stipulated authority. As he has a match lined up for the Break Like the Wind pay per view against SWF Supreme champion Christian Faith, Eric is simply not ready to remove himself from being an active competitor. So he cannot accept the position. Still not allowing anyone else to speak, Double E then turns to Eric Tyler and Phil Vibert. He says that the two authority figures on the Legends brand have their hands full... with each other. As such, it wouldn't be fair to remove one of them temporarily. Eric then points at Vibert, saying that he also can't trust Vibert to run the Supreme brand properly, not after what he's attempted to do to the Legends brand.Vibert just shakes his head and waves his hand dismissively. The Guru is the next person addressed, as Eisen says that The Guru previously held the role of interim commissioner of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, several years ago before there was a brand split to complicate matters. While The Guru handled himself well in that situation, times have changed. It is no longer clear whether he can be trusted with such an important position. As such, the Board of Directors is unwilling to take the risk. The Guru looks sad at this proclamation. That leaves Emma Chase. Although she is still engaged as a manager on the Legends brand, the fact that she is not in a position of authority there allows her to be on both brand temporarily. The agent has already proven herself intelligent, strong-willed, and loyal to the best interests of the SWF. For those reasons, she has been offered the position of Temporary Interim General Manager of the Supreme Brand. And Emma has accepted. The reaction is mixed. There is actually some positive reaction from some of the crowd, but also a fair amount of boos. Smiling sweetly, Emma takes the microphone from Double E. She says that is honored to fill the role and that she will do her best to live up to the lofty expectations required. She says that while she her client Brandon James remains a priority, running the Supreme brand will be a great deal of work for her. She knows that their fans understand that, and she thanks for them that. The newly temporary (or is that temporarily new?) GM then gets down to business, saying that dealing with Payne was obviously her first issue to address. The man who attacked Richard Eisen last week was the topic of much discussion between herself and the Board of Directors. She says that there was serious consideration given to simply firing Payne, along with Adrian Garcia and even RK Hayes. However, as no legal clause could be found that would allow immediate termination of contract without having to pay out the remainder of the said contract for actions such as the attack, the decision was rendered not to provide Payne a financial windfall by paying out his contract to terminate. Instead, he is to remain. However, the punishment that Emma intends to hand out will be slow and continual. Because Payne will be punished in the only manner he will understand – with pain. That punishment begins tonight, as Payne will face... The Long Island Angel, Jack Bruce! This gets a pretty positive reaction, though its debatable which participant is really being “punished” in that match up. Emma thanks the fans for their support and says that she will have a number of announcements regarding the Break Like the Wind pay per view, but not until next week. Its essentially three-on-one, as Thompson has partner Sean Deeley and manager Hannah Potter at ringside with him. Tornado overcomes the odds in a match where he gets to show off his diverse skills, his daring, and his courage. The pop he gets when he goes off the top turnbuckle and dives onto Deeley and Thompson outside the ring at one point is huge. Tornado gets the win after a Star Maker forearm. Troy Tornado Wins at 9:34 via Pinfall Grade: B
Peter Michaels: Troy Tornado with his first win on the Supreme brand. Grandmaster Bling: The kid from California shows he has the goods to survive. Devine comes into the ring and sits on the top turnbuckle in his corner, not wanting to move once the match starts. He's basically sulking. He really doesn't seem to have much interest in the match. But Remo does. When Devine won't came down off turnbuckle, Remo races across the rings and leaps up to the second rope, pummeling Devine mercilessly. Devine tries to shove his 295-pound opponent down but it doesn't work. A big suplex gets Devine down to the mat, where he continues to take a battering from The Alpha Dog. By the time that the broken-hearted Angsty Young Man decides he needs to fight back, its pretty much too late. The Destroyer puts Devine down from the 3-count in the first pinfall attempt in the match. Remo Wins at 6:33 via Pinfall Grade: B
Jerry Eisen: The sad man got beat down. Peter Michaels: Indeed he did, Jerry. Indeed he did. Their opponents lack the quick athleticism and the smooth teamwork, but they try to make up for it with some good old fashion dirty tactics. The veteran Roberts get a nice sequence in the middle where he trades some submission attempts and holds with Randy Bumfhole in a great mat wrestling sequence, with the 40-year old getting the better of the action. Its tough to keep a good Bumfhole down, and Randy battles back, managing to tag Zimmy in after a bit. Z-Bum gets the pin after hitting Flex Garcia with the Bumfhole in One frog splash. Remo is still in his ring gear from his recent match against Devine but he never even worked up a sweat. The two are in serious discussion, seemingly about tag team strategy. The audio catches Remo saying that the quick teamwork of the Bumfhole brothers is the kind of teamwork they need to use... but Remo quickly stops and stares at the camera. It retreats to a safe distance. The camera then spots Antonio Marquez and Gino Montero walking down the hallway towards Remo and Newton. The Los Diablos revolutionaries are in street clothes and carrying gym bags, with the SWF North American champion carrying the belt over his shoulder. They are discussing their revolutionary plans and fairly much ignore Remo and Newton as they walk past. The moment would be meaningless, just workers passing in the backstage. But a single comment changes that... After the Diablos duo have walked past, Newton calls out that he hopes that Marquez is keeping that belt nice and shiny for Newton. In an instant, the situation has become a Situation. Marquez and Montero get up into Newton's face, which neither he nor Remo like. They begin to argue about who is the top Generation Supreme talent, with the Mexican pair saying that Newton's Generations championship means nothing. Newton says that he's going to be the one to take that North American championship from Marquez, and his Sure Shot contract means he can do it whenever he chooses. Whenever. The situation looks as though its about to escalate to blows, which is never a good plan when the situation involves Remo. However, more backup arrives from Newton and Remo, in the form of the rest of Newton's Four Kings stable mates... Cameron Vessey, Casey Valentine + Ash Campbell Realizing they are now badly outnumbered, Marquez decides backing down and walking away is the best course of action. But the young Montero is not ready to walk away from the perceived insult. He continues to push at Remo and Newton. Before it gets bad for the 18-year old, Marquez basically has to drag his friend away. Newton gives a nod of thanks to Vessey, Valentine, and Campbell. Remo greets the trio as well with a respectful nod. Grade: A*

Greg Keith vs John McClean A solid match that is as much about the out-of-ring action as the actual wrestling. Joe Sexy seems to delight in messing with Micky Starr and Matthew Keith, who are at ringside for Greg. He manages to make himself a constant distraction. It actually takes away a bit from what could be a pretty good pure wrestling match. Keith shows off his skills a few times, but McClean is a bit too good and a lot too experienced. He forces Keith to submit to the McClean McMount. John McClean Wins at 8:01 via Submission Grade: C+

Marc DuBois, Steven Parker, Jay Chord + Farrah Hesketh Backstage Interview Farrath Hesketh has the Remember Tomorrow trio on the backstage interview set. As typical of interviews with Farrah, she actually doesn't get the chance to ask much in the way of questions as Marc DuBois simply takes over the interview. DuBois says that every so often, he gets tired of the Supreme Wrestling Federation. That he longs for his beautiful home town of Montreal, where people treat each other with respect. Because there is no respect in the SWF. No one gives DuBois, Parker, and Chord the respect they deserve. The respect they have earned. Despite the claims of the Bumfhole brothers, Ace Newton, Darryl Devine, or Badd Kompany, it is clear this stable is the finest that Generation Supreme has to offer. That is a fact that everyone – the rest of the roster, SWF management, and the fans – should acknowledge. The Evolution says that tonight, his stable will begin to prove that to everyone, as they take down the mighty Angry Gilmore and his little tag team. Tonight, it begins. Grade: B-
Peter Michaels: DuBois seems very sure of himself. That's good... I guess... Its a solid tag team match, but the fans just aren't that behind the faces here and don't really hate the duo of Vessey and Valentine that much. So there just isn't much heat on the match in any regard. That doesn't keep the two tag teams from trying, and Double Deuce gain the advantage after some interference from Playboy Jake Sawyer, turning that into a win after hitting Blood Bonham with their Full House finisher. Casey Valentine Wins at 7:44 via Pinfall Grade: C-

Marc DuBois, Steven Parker + Jay Chord vs Angry Gilmore, Guide + Scout A very good six-man tag match. DuBois and Gilmore are the clear stars of the match, with young Chord being the obvious weak link for his team. The great teamwork of Guide and Scout is evident as well. The young stable actually look like they take an unlikely win as they manage to isolate Scout for a time, but he ends up battling back against Chord and tagging in Gilmore. The end sequence starts with a great brawling exchange between Gilmore and DuBois, with the veteran getting the advantage over the younger worker. A short time later, Chord is overwhelmed by the quick tag work of The New Wave. DuBois tries to get involved, but he is chased out of the ring by Gilmore, where he accidentally crashes into Jessie. After Scout gains the pinfall over Chord, Gilmore and DuBois remain outside the ring, jawing at each other. Scout Wins at 12:54 via Pinfall Grade: B+ Angry Gilmore, Jessie, Guide + Scout In-Ring Promo After the Remember Tomorrow trio finally clear out, Gilmore makes sure his wife is okay, then climbs back into the ring. He is tossed the microphone. He cuts a short and concise promo, saying that he isn't going to stop hounding Rich Money until he gets the title shot he deserves. Money is going to get away with ducking or avoiding it, not this time. And if Emma Chase has any credibility as the new General Manager, she will make sure that it happens. Grade: B+

Payne vs Jack Bruce This match is all about Show Time. Though the masked monster Payne clearly looks dangerous, the former champion Bruce looks to be back to his monster-battling best. Bruce starts off by attacking the 6'9”, 350-pound hate monger with quickness and tenacity. He doesn't manage to get Payne off his feet, though, and the monster grabs control of the match. He uses power move after power move to try to ground the Long Island Angel. The big man tries for the pin a couple of times. But as he has done many times, Bruce battles back. He thrills the crowd as he tries to go blow-for-blow at one point, but he takes the worse of it. Things look bleak for Bruce again when Payne goes for his epic moonsault but the crafty middleweight gets out of the way in time. He then attacks Payne with a fervor, managing to get the big man off his feet with a quick series of attacks that culminates in a Jack Bruce Flurry, as the crowd roars. His Welcome to NYC sequence is followed up his New York Minute famdropper. Its not enough to get the pinfall, as Payne kicks. But a repeat of the Welcome to NYC and then New York Minute gives Bruce a three count. Jack Bruce Wins at 13:05 via Pinfall Grade: B+ Rich Money + Jack Bruce In-Ring Promo As he celebrates his win over the monster, Bruce realizes that someone is watching from the stage... Rich Money. The SWF World Heavyweight champion has been watching from that vantage point for the last few minutes of the match, and he is now applauding with the fans. After Payne and his manager have made their way through the Supreme Gate, Money flicks on his microphone as Jack Bruce is handed one of his own down in the ring. Rich Money: Very nice win, Jack. Jack Bruce: As if I need you to tell me that, Money. Rich Money: You're right, Jack. You don't me to tell you that. But the reason I'm out here tonight is that I think are a few things you need me to point out. Jack Bruce: There's nothing I want to hear from you, Money. The crowd roars their approval, but Bruce doesn't leave the ring. Rich Money: It pains me to hear you say that, Jack. After everything we've been through. After our great moments together. Because as much as you might not like to hear it, Jack, but we're awfully similar. We're a pair of old war dogs now, brought up in the old school way where we earned out stripes before we made the big show. We are both now amongst the very best in the business, amazingly talented at what we do. And we're both looking over our shoulders at all the Generation Supreme kids that are gunning for us. Jack Bruce: And you think that makes us similar? Rich Money: See, Jack, I understand that it might not be comfortable for you to admit that. But that doesn't make it any less true. But I'm not out here to point out how similar we really are. No, I'm out here because I respect you. There is a stunned silence from both The Long Island Angel and the crowd to that. Jack Bruce: You respect me? Rich Money: D*mned right I do. You and all these fans might think I'm being facetious right now, but this is me at my most honest. I respect your abilities in the ring. I respect the hard work you've put in through your career. And I respect what you've accomplished here in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Better than anyone else here on the Supreme brand, I understand what it takes to carry around the SWF World Heavyweight championship in this day and age. Sean McFly might think he knows, but its been a decade since he held this and the SWF is no longer the place it once was. This belt is just a few pounds of metal and leather, yet it takes the shoulders of Atlas to carry it. Its is a powerful burden, to be the face of this promotion. Its a burden that can break a lesser man. You held this belt for nearly an entire year. For that entire year, everyone expected you to break. Or at least to bend. But you didn't, Jack. You did not break. Money pauses for a moment, adding emphasis to the point. Rich Money: That title reign you had with this belt is something I can't see anyone else in this entire promotion accomplishing at this point, besides myself or Remo. That puts you in some pretty elite company, in my estimation. It took my greatest moment to take this from you. And I cannot begrudge you trying to take it back. I appreciate a man who decides that there is something he wants and does everything in his power to get that. It takes courage, determination, and fortitude. Those are traits I cannot help but respect, Jack. There is another loaded silence. Jack finally nods. Jack Bruce: Okay, you respect me. Great. Where does that leave us, Money? Rich Money: It doesn't really leave us anywhere, Jack. Jack Bruce: So then why are you out here? Rich Money: Because of where we differ, Jack. See, there are many ways in which we're similar, but where we are not similar at the moment is that I have friends I can count on. Friends who I know have my back, without fail. And when I look at you, I don't see that. This brand is no longer a place where a man can stand on his own, not anymore. But you lost Faith and Frehley and Morrisette to the other brand. Now who do you have? Jack Bruce: I've got... Bruce trails off, the name unsaid. Rich Money: McFly? The legend Sean McFly? Is he your friend? I didn't see him out here by your said when you were facing Payne tonight, one of the most dangerous men in this promotion. No, he's in the back getting ready for his own match. Worrying about himself. You know why he came to you, Jack. He wanted some talented and reliable to watch his back. But will he do the same for you? Can you count on him? Jack doesn't try to argue. He doesn't look happy now, glaring up at Money on the stage. Rich Money: I loved Sean McFly back in the day, just like everyone else. But the man who has returned to this new SWF is not the same man. To me, he's no different than all those Generation Supreme kids in the back who are just looking to make their own name off of us. Oh, they might be polite and respectful to our faces, but they're just looking for ways to try to take what you have. To take our spots at the top. The spots that we have earned. And they haven't. They haven't put their time in. They haven't bled in this ring like we have. I don't know about you, Jack, but I sure as hell ain't ready to give up my spot at the top. There is another silence, loaded and pondering. Rich Money: Think about it, Jack. That's all I'm saying. With that, Money turns off his mic and slowly walks off the stage through the Supreme Gate. After a moment of thought, Jack Bruce finally breaks into a smile. Jack Bruce: Rich Money... Remo... Angry Gilmore... the Bumfholes... Sean McFly... Troy Tornado... Marc DuBois... Ace Newton... Payne... Antonio Marquez... You know what they all have in common? I hope they're all listening, because I want them to all be clear. I want them all to hear what they already know. I want them to know that they will never ever... cannot... will not... ever... never... stop... SHOW TIME!!!! The crowd roars. Bruce leaps up onto the turnbuckles, playing to crowd as they give him the old familiar love. Grade: A*
Peter Michaels: What was that about? But the proceedings stop momentarily, as the crowd reacts to Rich Money emerging from the Supreme Gate and making his way down to ringside. He takes up a spot beside Joss Thompson, watching the action. Deeley takes advantage of the distraction to blindside The American Tiger. The opening five minutes are a back-and-forth battle for control, as neither worker can really take control for an extended period. Thompson interferes, slowing down McFly with a cheap shot outside the ring that the referee somehow misses. Deeley takes over and controls the match, working over the legend with some of his great mat work. He actually looks to have McFly in danger as he scores several near falls. Buoyed by a rabid crowd in his favor, The American Tiger battles back after he first works his way out of the Sure Shot armbar submission finisher of Deeley's, and then blocks the attempted Shooting Flowison. Using his quickness and wiles, McFly takes the match back... until he's nailed in the back by a chair shot from Thompson as he goes into the ropes. Referee Ric Young doesn't see it, but he certainly hears it, and he starts yelling at Deeley's tag team partner. While this is happening, the champion Rich Money is around the opposite side of the ring, handing another chair to Deeley. In plain sight of the referee, Deeley nails McFly in the head with the chair. The legend drops and the ref calls for the bell, but Deeley delivers a couple quick driving shots with the side of the chair to McFly's ribs. He then tosses the chair down and begins to celebrate in the ring with Thompson like he just won. Money just stands outside the ring, grinning. Whatever the big man has in store it should be enjoyable. I'm kinda turn which I would like to see, either an alliance or a turn. The promo's on this show BigPappa are pretty much dead on I feel for the charactors you have established.
Another highly enjoyable show, BP42. Well done. I'm loving the whole thing going on between Bruce and Money. Is there some kind of loose allaince in the pipelines is what I'm wondering....

Whatever the big man has in store it should be enjoyable. Glad you enjoyed the show. That promo between Money and Bruce was an important one. You can usually tell just based off the segment itself, because if I write out the dialogue, its a good indicator that I consider it a pretty important segment. I may do the description-style for important segments in some cases, but I would rarely do full dialogue for a throw-away segment that isn't leading somewhere. This is another segment that I've been sitting on for a long time. I think I started putting together the basic layout for it back when I went to Houston for WM. I won't give anything away about where this is going, but its going to happen a bit quicker than I would like. I would prefer to drag the sequence out over an extended period (likely having started things over quicker), but the elements had to be in place for it to be effective.
