Blood Bonham vs Marc DuBois Does it really matter if you're heel or face, when all you do is job ? 15-Man Battle Royal for the SWF Generations Championship: Atlas vs Greg Keith vs Colossus vs Matthew Keith vs Jay Chord vs Swoop McCarthy vs Cameron Vessey vs Kirk Jameson vs Casey Valentine vs Greg Rayne vs Ash Campbell vs Gino Montero vs Steven Parker vs Mainstream Hernandez vs Jacob Jett I was tempted to go with Colussus, as he would just offer something a bit different to the champion you had before in Newton but I'll stick with the safer bet of Gino Montero. Flex Garcia vs Antonio Marquez Somewhere here is getting a push it's no FAG Valiant & Giedroyc vs The New Wave New Wave to establish themselves as the true number one contenders to the Tag Titles. I can forsee Valiant & Giedroyc either splitting up or having a change of direction (i.e heel turn) sometime later in the year. The Immortal Bumfholes vs Remo & Ace Bumfholes seem stuck in that sort of too good for the mid-card, not quite good enough (kayfabe speaking) to break into the main event and they've been like that for a while. Until they win a match against one of the big-guns I'll keep tipping them to come up short. Sin Inc vs Badd Kompany for the SWF World Tag Team Championships Don't see much point in hot-shotting the belts back to Sin Inc and besides I see you buidling towards Badd Kompany- New Wave as the next big tag title feud. Angry Gilmore vs Sean McFly Both great wrestlers. Everyone seems to be choosing McFly but outside of obviously wanting to go after Rich Money, Gilmore doesn't have as many people wanting to take him down as McFly...namely Jack Bruce. I don't think Bruce would have taken losing to McFly so lightly, so I see him getting involved here and costing McFly the match, which even though it would have helped Gilmore won..won't sit too well with him either.

Blood Bonham vs Marc DuBois Hey everyone, look! Blood Bonham can job in tag matches AND singles matches!!! 15-Man Battle Royal for the SWF Generations Championship: Atlas vs Greg Keith vs Colossus vs Matthew Keith vs Jay Chord vs Swoop McCarthy vs Cameron Vessey vs Kirk Jameson vs Casey Valentine vs Greg Rayne vs Ash Campbell vs Gino Montero vs Steven Parker vs Mainstream Hernandez vs Jacob Jett Gino's probably the best bet here due to his big "revolution" push, however, Jacob Jett or Kid Liquid could be contenders here too. Flex Garcia vs Antonio Marquez Here's an idea! Bring back Pecs and you'd have another jobber who could do both tag and singles matches. (but please don't) Valiant & Giedroyc vs The New Wave They're due! The Immortal Bumfholes vs Remo & Ace It's been a while (that I can remember anyway) since the Bumfholes were in a televised match, so Remo & Ace should be much hotter. Sin Inc vs Badd Kompany for the SWF World Tag Team Championships I just don't ever want these guys to lose the straps. Angry Gilmore vs Sean McFly We haven't seen Gilmore vs. Money 1 on 1 for the title yet (or if we have, I wasn't paying attention) so this will set up for a good PPV main event.

Really, all of the Generation Supreme "kids" are in that same situation. Pretty sure none of them have ever cleanly won a match over an established superstar. That's pretty intentional and part of what the "war" is all about. In the game, a lot of those Gen-S stars - Randy Bumfhole, Marc DuBois, Sean Deeley, Antonio Marquez, and Ace Newton (not Gen-S yet he is) - are all at A/A+ overness and some have been for awhile. So in those terms, they are on the same level as the established superstars like Gilmore, Money, Remo, etc. Yet in the eyes of the fans, they wouldn't be and shouldn't be. As for Gilmore, also correct. With the Gen-S war, basically any established star is a target for the younger guys to try to take down. To score that big win.
Flex Garcia vs Antonio Marquez Here's an idea! Bring back Pecs and you'd have another jobber who could do both tag and singles matches. (but please don't)
Don't tempt me. I obviously can't resist signing new talent and an experienced tag team is awfully appetizing... If Pecs was talented, you might have just caused another signing with that... Main reason I'm posting is that I've decided to push back the "SWF Annual Awards" ceremony to after the Week 1 Supreme TV and Legends. So there is still plenty of time for peope to get their votes in (vote link here). More people have already voted than I expected... but as is obvious from the size of my roster, I'm greedy. My current though on the fate of this thing is that I will likely make it through to the January pay per view, When Hell Freezes Over. Beyond that is completely up in the air. I am thinking that it might take me a bit longer than normal to get through the 4 shows to get the PPV, though. Part of the reason I feel like this thing is winding down - I just don't feel the "push" I usually do to try to get the show done and posted in good order. It was never pressure so much as self-motivation to keep things moving. Just not there as much right now.

I am Peter Michaels and I am here with Grandmaster Bling and Jerry Eisen. For now. We find out tonight what will change in this booth. And fans, we don't know any more than you at this point.
Eric Eisen + Runaway Train In-Ring Promo The Interim General Manager and his ever-present bodyguard make their way down to the ring. There is a chorus of boos. Both men look surly. Annoyed at the boos, Eisen waves at the crowd to be quiet. Which obviously doesn't work. Eric Eisen: Unlike Eric Tyler, I don't intend to come out here and start the show every week by talking. However, as Steve Frehley is fond of saying, some things need to be said. Now, as the General Manager of the Supreme brand... Sorry, Interim General Manager.... I must remain impartial. When it comes to something like this “war” that Generation Supreme has declared, I cannot take sides. In fact, I'm not too fond of them terming it a “war”. I do like their intent, however. The youth of the Supreme Wrestling Federation trying to fight their way to the top seems like the kind of ambition that led my father to making the SWF the greatest promotion in the world. I can hardly frown upon that, can I? Again, I won't take sides in this. There really isn't a crowd reaction to this one as Double E pauses and smirks. Eric Eisen: Last week, Payne attempted to attack Darryl Devine. I gave the monster a second chance and this is how he chooses to repay me. He should have been fired as soon as he attacked my father, but I allowed the Board of Directors talk me into giving him another chance. I made a mistake. They still won't let me fire him. He is, however, no loner welcome on this brand. If I see him show up on Supreme TV, I will have him removed by security and thrown in jail for trespassing. If Vibert or Tyler will take him on the other brand, they are welcome to him. Otherwise, he can rot at home for the duration of his contract. This one gets a positive response from the crowd. Eric Eisen: We have some great tag team action lined up for tonight. SWF World Tag Team champions Badd Kompany will defend their belts against former champions Sin Inc. As well, The New Wave will face Valiant & Giedroyc to determine the number one contenders. The winner of that match will face the champions at When Hell Freezes Over. However, at special request, I am including a third team in the number one contenders match. I could tell you now... but its more fun to make it a surprise... This combines with that smirk to get a bit of a negative reaction out of the fans. They plain just don't like the youngest Eisen. Eric Eisen: Our main event tonight is, for the first time ever, Angry Gilmore facing Sean McFly! This gets a big pop from the crowd. Eric Eisen: Now its already been announced that the winner of this match tonight will face Rich Money for the SWF World Heavyweight title at When Hell Freezes Over. Whoever loses will be first in line to get the next shot at the belt. As well, they will have their choice of facing any of Money's cronies at the pay per view – Remo, Newton, or Bruce the Giant. So whoever loses tonight... still wins... This gets a positive crowd reaction. Eric Eisen: I have one more announcement to make tonight. Long before I became the Interim General Manager of this brand, I knew there was a problem in the announcing booth here on Supreme TV. There was hope that adding Grandmaster Bling would compensate, but it hasn't. The problem is still... well, a problem. This is no easy thing for me to do... but it has to be done. So as much as it hurts me to do this... Peter Michaels.... Could you please ask my brother Jerry to leave the booth. There is a bit a commotion as Jerry is asked to leave the announcers booth. Both Peter Michaels and Grandmaster Bling look relieved. The announcers booth is shown as Jerry seems confused, then refuses to leave. He has to be grabbed by security, but the elder Eisen brother ends up hanging onto the edge of the booth as the burly security officials attempt to drag him away. Jerry is calling out to Peter and the Grandmaster to help him... and Peter ends up using his rolled up paperwork to hammer away at Jerry's hands until Eisen lets go. The crowd boos this, though there is a smattering of boos. Not because anyone particularly likes Jerry Eisen, but because the “child-like” gimmick he has been running for the past eighteen months resulted from “head trauma” caused by Eric. Eric Eisen: Don't worry, my brother will get a nice cushy job in the back, where his limited capacities will be less of an issue. Now, as for his replacement... Double E makes a flourish and music kicks up, accompanied by a series of pyrotechnic explosions... The driving Swedish metal builds and when it hits the opening crescendo, someone emerges through the Supreme Gate... They can hardly be seen through the smoke, until they walk to the front of the stage... And it is... Tug Slowman Someone that few of the fans know. A slender, smirking young man with sleek black hair down to his shoulders. He wears an open-collared black dress shirt and black dress pants. Grinning as he stands on the edge of the stage, the young man tucks his hair behind his ears and gestures in celebration. Eric Eisen: Ladies and gentleman, I give you Tug Slowman! It starts gradually, but a negative reaction builds through the crowd. Its not because of who the young man is, but rather who he isn't. After all the hype, the expectations of many fans had become for someone known to be joining the Supreme TV announcers booth. Instead, its a young man that most do not know. A few fans recognize him from his occasional work on the SWF Generation Supreme “B” show. Slowman's smile turns to a scowl quite quickly as he moves down to the ring. He climbs in with Eric Eisen and Runaway Train. Slowman is taller than the diminutive Double E, but far skinnier. He doesn't hesitate to snatch the microphone away from the General Manager and address the crowd. He has a natural houlier-than-thou attitude than grates on the crowd further. Tug Slowman: How dare you boo me? You cheer for all the Generation Supreme punks and you boo me? The most talented young man to ever step into the announcers booth here in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. And you boo me? You all better adjust your attitudes right quick! The hate from the crowd grows louder. Eric Eisen snatches back the microphone before Slowman can generate more hatred. Eric Eisen: Well, he's certainly correct about being the most talented young man to step into the SWF announcers booth. Generation Supreme is not just limited to the ring, folks! Tug Slowman makes his way out of the ring and slowly up the ramp to the announcers booth. He stops to mug at some fans on the way, trying and failing to intimidate some kids. Grade: A
Peter Michaels: Welcome to the booth, Tug. Tug Slowman: Keep your false pleasantries, old man. I'm not here to “play nice”. Grandmaster Bling: That ain't cool, man. Tug Slowman: Don't make me ask for a separate booth this quickly, I'm warning you.
Blood Bonham vs Marc DuBois This is an odd match, as Bonham pretty much no-sells most of DuBois' early offense. The youngster gets frustrated pretty quickly, especially when the bigger tag team specialist begins to pound away on him. DuBois disengages and raises the ire of the crowd as he takes a breather outside the ring. When he gets back in, the youngster uses the referee as a shield, then attacks Bonham. Showing off his athleticism and quickness, DuBois controls the action. He again shows frustration as Bonham battles back. After the referee takes a bump, “The Evolution” uses the distraction to drive a big knee into the big biker's face. When he grabs a chair from outside the ring, Bonham's tag team partner Blood Elderberry climbs up onto the ring apron to make sure the Generation Supreme star can't use it on his partner. DuBois has other plans, however. He tosses the chair to Elderberry and then flops to the mat, acting knocked out just as the referee climbs to his feet. Seeing DuBois lying prone and Elderberry standing on the ring apron with a chair, Jay Fair buys it and calls for the bell. DuBois celebrates while both Bonham and Elderberry holler at the referee. Bonham ends up having to be restrained by his tag team partner. Marc DuBois Wins at 7:44 via Disqualification Grade: B
Tug Slowman: That's the way to do it! Great win for DuBois! Peter Michaels: Great win? Did we just watch the same match? Tug Slowman: If one of your golden boys like the Bumfholes pull that, I bet you'd be just tickled, Pete. One is that there is a ton of people at ringside – Joanne Rodriguez for the big Show-Tourage duo, Playboy Jake Sawyer for the Four Kings trio, Micky Starr for the Keith twins, Katie Cameron for Jett and Hernandez, and the Neptune twins for the two youngsters their manage. The other dynamic is the way that everyone groups together before the match starts – the tag teams together, the Four Kings, and all the seven Generation Supreme clique in one larger group. All of the Gen-S group actually shake hands with each other before the match begins. Those groupings stay together as the match begins and people work together. Colossus and Atlas eliminated both Jacob Jett and Mainstream Hernandez in short order, tossing the Legends brands pair very quickly. Then they go after Greg Rayne, who has no support and is making his first appearance in the SWF after a long absence. With the Gen-S group battling against the Four Kings trio, everyone quickly realize the size and power of the two big men make them a real threat, so everyone gangs up and gets them out. Then everything descends into near-chaos. Even the Generation Supreme team members are battling against each other, but its notable that they play it straight against each other – no cheap shots or backstabbing. Some of the more interesting battles are Gino Montero and Jay Chord going back and forth as they move rapidly around the ring, obviously to those around them, as well as the Keith boys wage a small war against the Double Deuce pair of Vessey and Valentine, both teams eliminating each other at the same time. Swoop and Jameson eliminate Rayne just after Chord, Montero, and Parker get Ash Campbell out of the ring. Down to the five Generation Supreme members, the action is rapid as the two tag teams work together and Montero is on his own. The revolutionary youngster skins the cat twice back into the ring in the final moments, using athletic offensive moves like springboard attacks and drop kicks to clear the ring and win the match. When he is awarded the SWF Generations championship, he is congratulated not only by his partner Antonio Marquez, but all the Generation Supreme clique. At what appears to be a military base, Rich Money is shown with his cohorts. Not just Remo, Ace Newton, and Bruce the Giant, but also Newton's Four Kings friends – Ash Campbell, Cameron Vessey, and Casey Valentine. All of them are wearing some type of military fatigues. A caption indicates that the video is from the past weekend. Rich Money: Seeing that this Generation Supreme clique decided to “declare war”, I felt it was best to have my people prepared. How better to prepare us for war than the United States Marine Corps? The Paris Island Depot was kind enough to invites us to give us a few pointers. We decided to start things out with the obstacle course. Rich Money doesn't do that course himself, but stands on the side with a drill instructor. The pair yell encouragement – or something supposed to be encouragement – at the group of six. All six start out at the same time, moving through the series of tires. Remo and Newton make it through quickly, with Valentine and Vessey just behind. Campbell trips and falls all over the place while Biggie Smalls moves at a plodding pace. After the tires, its a series of waist-high barriers that Newton and Remo basically hurdle at speed. Brucie moves like an unhurried giant, but he's basically able to keep pace with Campbell who is apparently entirely uncoordinated. The next obstacle is a fifteen foot sand pit with low-slung wires, under which one has to crawl. Newton and Remo get through in a hurry, with the Double Deuce team keeping pace not too far behind. Ash manages to get himself tangled in the wire and requires help to free himself, while Biggie is simply too large to fit. He just lumbers on past. Then its a rope climb up a 10-foot wall. Vessey and Valentine also show some impressive teamwork as they make their way up. Campbell tries again and again to get up, but falls flat on his butt time after time. Bruce grabs another rope and starts to pull, but the whole wooden structure creeks and looks like it will give way before the giants get off the ground. Money and the drill instructor tell him to go around, and he does with a shrug... followed by the hopeless Campbell. Remo and Newton are well ahead now, over a series of a long balance beams and onto a 20-foot rope, then slide down the other side. They are really racing now, neck-and-neck. Remo pulls ahead as they swing along a long set of monkey bars. Then its into a mud pit that they have to crawl under. Wet and muddy, the race up a long steep ramp, then down the other side. They are pulling away from Valentien and Vessey, who are still moving pretty quickly. The end sequence of the obstacle course is a tall rope net wall that is obviously difficult to climb, then a series of eight barrier walls, the first just chest-high and then each one taller until the final one is about eight feet high. After that, its just a hundred yard sprint to the end line. Newton catches up to Remo on the series of walls, and then races just past him on the final sprint. Given that Remo is about 60 pounds heavier than Newton, the athleticism of Remo is all the more impressive. As they catch they breath at the finish line, Remo and Newton grin at each other. A small gathering of Marines congratulate the pair. Vessey and Valentine show up a short bit later, looking exhausted but having used great teamwork to get over the walls. Then there is a long wait for the other two. Money stands with the drill instructor, staring at a stopwatch. In the background, Remo and Newton are talking and joking with the group of soldiers. They seem to be asking the wrestlers questions. Clearly demonstrating, Newton grabs one of the soldiers and puts him in a standing abdominal stretch. The soldiers hollers in pain while his friends watch. Then another asks Remo a question, and he responds by grabbing the skinny soldier and snapping him into the air in a stalling suplex... and just holds him there, still talking to the other soldiers and Ace, who still has the soldier in the abdominal stretch. Biggie and Campbell finally make it across the finish line, minutes after the other four. The trudging giant crosses first, followed by the exhausted and soiled youngster. Money finally stops the stopwatch with a flourish. Rich Money: Well, that is apparently a new record, men. No one has ever taken longer to complete this obstacle course than you too. At least Biggie has the excuse that he weighs six hundred pounds... What's your excuse, Campbell? Campbell is gasping for breath, a sweaty mess. In the background, Remo still has the soldier up for the suplex. Ash Campbell: Sorry, sir...I... tired... big breakfast... Grand Slam... Rich Money: I don't want your excuses, maggot. Its a good thing we need cannon fodder in this war, because its the only thing you'll be good for. I would ship you off to the geriatrics brand and let your daddy deal with you, but he doesn't want you. So we're stuck with you. Now shape up, soldier! Ash Campbell: Sir, yes, sir! In the background, Remo finally finishes the suplex, hammering the soldier to the hard ground with a flourish. The SWF World Heavyweight champion turns to the camera. Rich Money: See, I was more than willing to be respectful and even helpful to those Generation Supreme kids. I even took the best of them under my wing. But you want to declare war? You want to target me and my friends? This is not going to end well for you... You can bank on it. Because I'm money. The video ends on a serious shot of the group of Money and friends in army fatigues. Grade: B+
Peter Michaels: Leave it to Rich Money to misuse our proud Marine Corps like that. The threeway tag match is a mess right from the start, with rarely just two competitors in the ring at any one time. Referee Shane Stones attempts to keep things under control, but its pretty near impossible. It is apparent quite quickly that Mr. Anderson and Mr. Hill are here to try to win, not just keep The New Wave from winning... but they do save some extra venom for the former DaVE duo. After a time, it basically becomes impossible to keep track of who is the legal man in the ring and Stones basically seems to give up trying. The slick teamwork of Guide and Scout allow them to take over the match for a time, but the Silverbacks prove more than willing to do whatever it takes to steal it back, including Mr. Anderson hitting Guide with a low blow. Somehow, this leads to Sara Silver and Jessie screaming at each other outside the ring. It is a distraction that Valiant & Giedroyc are more than willing to take advantage of. The former tag champions send The New Wave out of the ring, then double team both Silverbacks. They deliver their Desolation Drop finisher to Mr. Anderson and Giedroyc grabs the pinfall while Valiant ensures no one stops it. Before Valiant & Giedroyc can even celebrate becoming the number one contenders, they are attacked by Mr. Anderson and Mr. Hill. In moments, the match is a six-man brawl in the ring. The three manages are pretty much brawling outside the ring, as they scream at each other. The ref is calling for the bell and for help. Before help arrives, John McClean and Joe Sexy arrive and throw themselves into the fray. The pair have their title shot later in the night, so its unclear exactly why they involving themselves. Perhaps for no better reason than to ensure they are not forgotten. It takes several minutes and several SWF officials to break up the melee and separate the four teams. It is very obvious who the fans are supporting in this one as they pop big for the still-heel SWF World Tag Team champions Badd Kompany. The duo and their manage pose on the stage, with Hannah Potter showing off a strong microphone voice as she introduces them with: “You wanted the best, you got the best.... “The Complete Package” Joss Thompson... “The Shooter” Sean Deeley... The SWF World Tag Team champions... Badd Kompany!” It gets another big pop. But Sin Inc aren't impressed, and they attack before the champions can even remove their belts. Thompson and Deeley fire back and its on. The match goes back and forth, with the champions showcasing their skills. Sexy and McClean show off their experience and, moreso, their cheap tricks. As the match moves along, it becomes apparent that the challengers simply don't have what it takes to take the new champions down. The last third of the match is simply a build towards what everyone realizes is inevitable, and it finally happens after Joss Thompson hits his Clean Cutter spinning back bomb suplex on John McClean and he gets the pinfall. Joss Thompson Wins at 12:13 via Pinfall Grade: B

The Immortal Bumfholes vs Remo & Ace Another tag match. The Bumfhole brothers are looking for validation, to win in the rematch of their Under Control 2008 match. They come out flying, using their quickness and fluid teamwork to control the early action. The Bumfholes look very good as they isolate their younger opponent. Remo looks typically overpowering when he tags in, but that only lasts for a bit as the teamwork of the brothers against shines through. They move at a rapid pace throughout the match. Randy B gets several near-falls on Newton, but Remo times things well to intervene. The end sequence is rather quick, as Remo and Ace use some double teaming to try to isolate Zimmy. He manages to tag in his brother, and he faces the same problem. Remo looks overpowering, but Randy refuses to stay down. Suddenly Newton sneaks around to the opposite side of the ring, attacking Zimmy from behind as he stands on the ring apron and delivering his Ace High Go-2-Sleep outside the ring. That distracts Randy, allowing Remo to unleash a Hit & Run, followed by a big Remo Buster spinebuster. Remo goes for the pin, but he not only grabs Randy's trunks but uses the ropes for leverage. Referee Jay Fair misses it and Remo takes the win. The dubious nature of the win doesn't stop Remo and Ace from celebrating. Remo Wins at 11:16 via Pinfall Grade: B+ Randy Bumfhole + Zimmy Bumfhole In-Ring Promo Randy and Zimmy are clearly upset after the match and they stick around in the ring. They cut a short, concise promo. They state they are tired of Money and Remo running around the brand and acting like they own the place. So Randy challenges Remo to a match at When Hell Freezes Over. Just the two of them. No one else involved and no one interferes. Let's see how well you do without your friends, Randy says. Zimmy adds that if the likes of Troy Tornado and Jack Bruce have any guts, they'll accept the challenges they've been given... Grade: A*
Tug Slowman: Why do they even allow those two on the microphone? So much talking and nothing said...
Sean McFly vs Angry Gilmore This one is pretty much everything that fans expect. The crowd is clearly split, as both men are loved. So they both get plenty of cheers. The first half of the match is wide open and fast-paced. There is no feeling out process – its right into the action. Its back and forth, with no one controlling the action for very long. Both wrestlers look great and the fans eat it up. Its the kind of wrestling action that is as good as anyone else on the planet can offer. But at what turns out to be roughly the halfway point of the match, things fall apart. Not because of the wrestlers, but because Money appears at ringside along with Remo, Bruce the Giant, and Ace Newton. The join Jessie at ringside, who obviously doesn't look happy. Then Troy Tornado appears, to make sure McFly doesn't get screwed over. With the mess of people at ringside, the match takes on a definite sense of dread, as if everyone – the two wrestlers, the fans, and even the referee – expect something to happen. It doesn't, but the match slows down significantly. The interference does come, but its quick. McFly hits Gilmore with a drop kick that sends the Canadian sprawling into the ropes. McFly goes up to the top turnbuckle, and while all eyes are on him, Bruce the Giant casually walks past Gilmore in the ropes and lashes out with his legendary cinder block right hand, nailing Gilmore on the chain. It doesn't knock Gilmore out, as its a quick punch, but it does stun him. McFly leaps into an epic flying elbow on the tangled Gilmore. Then its the American Tiger's trademark Delayed Suplex, and finally his DeLorean Driver Northern Light's Bomb. Gilmore doesn't have enough to kick out and the match is over. Sean McFly Wins at 16:41 via Pinfall Grade: A Angry Gilmore, Sean McF, Rich Money, Remo, Ace Newton, Bruce the Giant + Troy Tornado Post-Match Showdown Gilmore is pulled out of the ring by Jessie in the immediate aftermath, as McFly starts to celebrate. That is quickly interrupted by Rich Money climbing into the ring. The two go nose-to-nose, with Money pointoing to the SWF World Heavyweight championship belt he carries. Then Remo, Newton, and Bruce the Giant climb into the ring, with Troy Tornado climbing in to back up McFly. The situation looks like it could escalate... but it doesn't... Outside the ring, Gilmore seems to be trying to figure out what happened. When a fan explains it to Gilmore and Jessie, the wrestler is incensed. He dives into the ring and goes after Money. There is a wall of talented wrestlers between them, but Gilmore keeps trying. He is losing his mind as he hollers as the champion, gesturing at Bruce the Giant. McFly seems confused, as he didn't see the punch from Biggie Smalls. Money just leans in one corner of the ring and laughs. Even Jessie can't calm Gilmore down as he loses his mind over once again getting shafted by the champion Rich Money. Some thoughts are requried on this one, I think... -okay, the pic used for Tug Slowman might recognized by some. It is none other than one of my favorite diary writers and my clear favorite Finnish alt artiste, FINisher. This was done with FIN's permission and it is intended to be fun and a bit of an honor. Like a few others, FIN has added quite a bit to my diary through his work and this is a way of thanking him. He came up with much of what the character will be, in terms of likes and dislikes, catch phrases, and even the music. The actual worker was a randomly generated annoucer who came into the game way back in about February of 2008. He was too talented to not sign, but he was Mexican. So he sat in development (as a trainer, I think) so he could learn English. I changed his name and nationality in the meantime, and gave him a random unused pic from the game. My intent was to use him as a full heel commentator, something I felt I lacked on either brand. Bling was intended that way, but felt more natural as a tweener. Part of it came down to watching the SS boxed set over the summer and wanting a Bobby Heenan of my own. So Slowman was to be my Heenan. But I struggled to find a decent way to introduce him. Used him on Gen-S for awhile. About six weeks ago (roughly), FIN posted a pic of himself and someone cut it into a CV alt. I asked FIN if he was okay with the idea, and here we are. It also helped me come up with a bit of a backstory for the character, on which I have a Random Thoughts segment coming. -the show put far too long to put together, especially considering what it held. Just didn't have the motivation to really sit down and work on it for any length of time. Which is part of the problem I have right now. I'll start working on the next show in a day or two and just take things from there. We'll see how it goes.
But to me that is not Fin as Fin in my mind will always look like 1970's George Carlin.
What an honor that would be. Honestly, he's probably the most influential person in my whole life. Really. All his ideas, views on life and people are similar to mine in so many ways. Last year when he died.. I felt so miserable for so long. Long live Carlin.
Hahaha :D Thank you for your kind words by the way.. I'm very thankful. And, *cough*, here's a better version of that image.. And BTW, I'm quite looking forward to the new project you and mistaken have going. Should be epic. I've always liked Carlin. Still think Bill Hicks is my favorite comedian of all-time, but Carlin is up there.
Great show BigPapa, I love the Rich Money boot camp segment. I am glad that Joe Sexy did not take the pinfall in his match (can't help it Joe and BSS are my favorite SWF wrestlers). When I first saw the picture of Fin I thought it was Bret Hart. Then I realized that it was of Fin from the faces of GDS Thread. But to me that is not Fin as Fin in my mind will always look like 1970's George Carlin.
Thanks. I was a bit worried with using the smaller images like I do that it wouldn't be obvoius who the pic was, which is part of why I wanted to explain it. Plus there might be a few readers who didn't read the Faces of GDS thread. Ah, good old BSS. I sometimes wish I would have found a way to make it work, because he would have been a fun work to manage to get over and possibly even have him become decent in the ring. It made for a fun backstage story, but turning him into a star would been really fun. One of those workers no expected to see become a star.
Great show man I loved the boot camp segment, it's just to bad someone didn't break those Marines in half...Go Army =)
Thanks. Doing the 2008 in review reminded me of something I already knew yet conveniently forgot - the promos I use have little variation. It just keeps happening. Its like in-ring promo, backstage promo, in-ring staredown, in-ring attack, backstage attack. Wash, rinse, repeat. I have no idea why I do video promos so rarely. Stuff like this one, the Badd Kompany video before they won their belts, and even the Money & Remo golfing and Money in Vegas ones. Those are two of the most popular promos I've done and I keep staying away from that format for some reason. No idea why. Those video promos open up so many possibilities and are pretty much a Sports Entertainment staple. Especially when it comes to Money and company, those kind of video angles pretty much write themselves. I come up with ideas for Money so easily at this point. I've actually ended up using some ideas for Money for other workers. As it is, I have a number of segments planned for Money and friends. This one could have been much longer, but I didn't want to go overboard. Plus, I can use some of them later.

Random thought of the day… Losing your label is never a pleasant thing... even when its not a label you ever really wanted. I've never liked it when anyone - whether inside the SWF or without - applied the "prodigy" label to me. Because I'm young and have no depth of experience in the wrestling business, it somehow supposedly makes it all the more impressive that I've been able to be as creative and successful as I have been over the past year. I don't think age and experience really have anything to do with it. So why am I feeling jealous when the "prodigy" label is instead being applied to someone new? Tug Slowman found me in the small office I had claimed in Wisconsin Gardens as soon as Supreme TV ended. The Gardens is a big, modern arena and there are plenty of available offices. Yet I somehow always choose a small one when we're here. Slowman knocked gently and invited him in. He took the seat across from my desk. "So," he said, in way of a question. "So," I repeated, smiling a bit and making him ask. "How was it?" he grinned, leaning forward. He tucked his hair between ears - a constant habit, I've noticed and waited. "It was.... very good," I told him honestly. "Really?" "Really." I feel bad for being jealous. Tug is a helluva nice guy. He plays a heel pretty well, as he just showed the whole world, but its an act. His real name isn't Tug. That's a child-hood nickname, apparently. His real first name starts with J and has about 13 letters. He's half-Finnish and the name comes from that. "Tug" is just easier all the way around. The Finnish thing also makes sense, because he looks like the lead singer of a Scandinavian speed metal band... but I can never quite figure out who. Slowman's rise might be more meotoric than mine. When I was getting my start in the SWF, he was posting his first video on Youtube. A college freshman at the time, Tug had done a goofy project where he overdubbed the commentary over an old Burning Hammer match with his own, doing a rather humorous take on it with stereotypical broken English. This lead to a whole series of such videos. He used a wide variety of wrestling footage and an endless number of different approaches, whether it was a dead-on imitation of Jason Azaria or doing both the play-by-play and the color commentator in different voices. He was amusing, quick-witted, and an absolute natural on the microphone. The videos caused a notable little stir amongst the online fan community. They didn't become mainstream meme, because, well, the videos were still all-wrestling based. So the SWF quietly signed the kid and then sent him to Rhode Island to figure out what to do with him. He would make a great manager. He could announce. And he could clearly be a good color commentator. Jerry had become Tug's champion, pushing to find the young man an on-screen role. That became the regular commentator for SWF Generation Supreme, which he handled well and perfected his heel approach. It was also Jerry who suggested that Tug replace him on Supreme TV. Taking him off-screen would allow him to "recover mentally", in kayfabe terms. "So you really think this is going to work?" Tug asked me. I nodded slowly. Though I wasn't much older than him, it was clear that Slowman looked up to me. Strange feeling. I told him, "Its already working. The fans out there hated you tonight. Two months from now, they'll loathe you. And they won't be able to get enough of you." Slowman nodded. He understood the business pretty well, yet he had been hesitant to go overboard with the heel act. To really push to make the fans despise him. Choosing to be hated is no easy thing. But it was a good move. It has been a long while since the SWF has had a real heel commentator on a regular basis, other than the occasions when Richard Eisen or Rich Money stepped into the booth. We talked for a bit longer. Much as I had been, he was hesitant to leave school to take up a career in a business which many of his friends and family looked down on. The more we talked, the more I found we had in common. I found myself realizing that this would be someone that I will end up being pretty good friends with. Calling Tug a "prodigy" was hardly a stretch. The guy isn't old enough to legally drink yet, but he took one of the toughest jobs in wrestling in a stride. He went in there with one of the most respected men in the business in Peter Michaels and he did well. Everyone overlooks the commentators... unless they suck or mess up. Its like the offensive line in football - its value becomes apparent when it isn't there. Suffice to say our little meeting in the heart of Wisconsin Gardens got me past my jealousy pretty quickly. From that point on, I will definitely be one of those to apply the "prodigy" label to Tug Slowman and it will be accurate. As well, I couldn't help but think that now, Generation Supreme even has representation in the announcers booth. My Generation Supreme... Wednesday, Week 1, January 2009 Avatar

I love good announcing and color commentary. When I wasn't into a match while watch WWE, there was Jim Ross or Joey Styles to listen to, or hilarious dialog from Jim Cornette, Paul Heyman, or Bobby Heenan. On the other hand, when you have Michael Cole or Johnathan Coachman (who became a decent, if not great or even good color commentator) announcing, it becames glaringly obvious how important the role is. And how hard the job is. Or Mike Adamle. Ugh.

Didn't like him as GM though, that promotion came a little too quickly..
