NEO: From The Bottom Up (C-Verse)

NEO Generation: Dark Star vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

Phoenix to retain, but it might be because of disqualification.

Matthew Keith vs. The Unknown Patriot vs. Brendan Idol

He's on a roll and his storyline is hot. He deserves this victory.

Melody Cuthill vs. Sensational Singh

Cuthill is cute, has a good personnality and can bring a promotion to another level almost by herself. The only problem is her popularity in the US. I'm confident it'll only temporarily keep her away from getting a decent storyline and maybe a title? :)

Arthur Dexter Bradley, Jared Johnson, & Masked Patriot vs. Bradford Peverell, Danny Patterson, & Marc Speed

I think someone will interfere to turn the tide of this match.

Keep up the good work, I'm really liking it.

Who are your opponents in the tri-state regional battle?

NEO Generation: Dark Star vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

- TEW08, truly the year of the Phoenix

Matthew Keith vs. The Unknown Patriot vs. Brendan Idol

- I could go two ways here, Idol or Keith. I doubt Keith is around for too long before another larger fed comes calling so rushing him into the main event would make sense, but Idol just turned heel and deserves a chance to headline. I think Idol gets rewarded, Keith gets momentum and tUP does the job.

Melody Cuthill vs. Sensational Singh

- To set up the Joshis as the next challengers to SenPow.

Arthur Dexter Bradley, Jared Johnson, & Masked Patriot vs. Bradford Peverell, Danny Patterson, & Marc Speed

- based on Peverall being a chick magnet and Patterson having the commish in his corner.

Dazzling Dave Diamond, sporting a new look, makes his way down to the ring. Triple D takes pride in realizing what a selfish person that harlot, Amber Allen was before she ran away to Canada. Interupting The Dazzling One, is Hugh de Aske? In a huge surprise, Hugh says that after his match with Allen he found a new found respect for women wrestlers, her in particular. Hugh says that Dave isn't even half the wrestler Amber is which prompts Diamond challenging Hugh to a match tonight. Hugh accpets.- D+

Notes: Dazzling Dave Diamond has now switched to an Arrogant Heel gimmick. It has gotten an initial A rating. Hugh's turn was a complete success.

Show Thoughts: It took me a couple of months to regroup, but I finally am back to having cards I can be proud of. Both the semi and main event matches were as good as any before it and the undercard didn't disappoint either. Personally, I enjoyed seeing the face turn of Hugh de Aske because while it was out of the blue, it made sense considering the history between Hugh and Allen. The only thing I might have changed was making sure Patterson wasn't the guy to take the fall in the trios match, but game wise it doesn't make much of a difference.

Matthew Keith was unhappy about losing to The Unknown Patriot, but I have a promotion to run and you can't make everyone happy all the time. Speaking of running a promotion, I got the news I've been dreading and wanting for a while now. It seems Keith Vegas turned up late to the show. Since I already gave him a final warning, this time I gave him a pink slip! I love his reaction: "I think you're being harsh." I just wish he would have played a prank on someone. That way I could have had the chance to get another worker to become friends or loyal to me. A man can dream can't he? :D

• World Influence: 35 of 37

Even with the C card, we only finished 3 of 4 in the Regional Battle. CZCW and MAW with only NYCW lagging behind.

On a bright note we were able to re-sign Erik Strong for $800 and Jared Johnson for $500.

Maybe Bob Casey isn't going to run NOTBPW into the ground after all. The booking jobber gets a the company a TV slot on Maple Leaf Sports after it's old one was cancelled.

In some of the saddest news I've ever saw, Jim Force leaves USPW. He is now unemployed! :(

NEO The Abyss

• With only one month away from our final show of 2010, we now know that the main event will be Ultimate Phoenix taking on The Unknown Patriot. What is not known is if this match will be for the NEO Generation because tonight, Ultimate Phoenix puts his title on the line against a mystery opponent.

• In the interest of fairness, Ultimate Pheonix's opponent at Unwatend Gifts 2010 will be in action as he takes on the NEO's newest favorite wrestling pirate, Hugh de Aske.

• If that wasn't enough, former NEO Generation champion, "The Dark Star" Erik Strong goes one on one with one of wrestling's finest 2nd generation wrestlers, Matthew Keith.

Quick Picks

Show Thoughts: Have I told you guys how much I love Ultimate Phoenix (and everyone else that can work for that matter)? All this guy does is put out awesome matches and he's good a the stick too.

In some news that I really didn't want to hear but knew was coming sooner or later, Matthew Keith joins his father in Total Championship Wrestling. You know I thought I was going to be pissed (like when guys go on tour and bounce me), but when a worker is signed to a written deal I don't. Though, he unhappy about losing. Poor baby. ;)

You know getting Cs with a promotion you built from scratch is great and all, but when you see that you are still only 3rd of 4th regional battle, it's kind of a downer.

We re-signed Marc Speed for $500

With a lot of our talent highjacked I decided to bolster the roster by signing Frankie Perez for $1000, Nigel Svensson for $700 and travelling, and Sean Deeley for $1500/$700 and travelling expenses.

In a surprise, Jen Neptune is now 1/2 of the AAA Tag Team champions along side her partner Kate Lily. Why is that surprising? Her sister is also in the promotion.

NEO Unwanted Gifts 2010

• In a match that's six months in the making, The undefeated Unknown Patriot challenges Ultimate Phoenix for the NEO Generation title.

• Trying to prove that he was always better than his ex-lover, Dazzling Dave Diamond takes on Amber Allen's greatest rival, Sean Deeley.

• In the ultimate battle of the future of wrestling, Hugh de Aske and Nigel Svensson go one on one in our semi-main event.

• With their "warm up" matches out of the way, Sensationally Powerful defends their NEO World Tag Team titles against the American Joshis.

OOC: By looking at the number of views and the number of votes I got in the rookie diary of the month poll, I can see I have a solid reader base (which I am very happy to have) even if you guys are a bit lurkery. However, since this is the last card of the year I was wondering, if you have the time, to make a prediction so I can see exactly who is enjoying my diary so far.

Because of this request, I will be holding off on posting Unwanted Gifts till Monday. Thanks! :D

NEO Generation: The Unknown Patriot vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

I think there's a longer rivalry to be done here. UP retains for the moment, but later TUP will take the belt and probably reveal his true identity at that moment.

Hugh de Aske vs. Nigel Svensson

That's my boy right there ! Nigel is getting better results from mediocre opponent than most of my top dogs in my ROF game, hence the love.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Sean Deeley

Dave was good to launch the promotion. It's now time to gradually phase him out to more talented guys.

NEO Tag Team: American Joshis vs. Sensational Powerful ©

No reason for a title change at the moment.

Bradford Peverell vs. Frankie Perez vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

Frankie already proved he can be a key player in NEO. This one is only a warmup for him.

NEO Generation: The Unknown Patriot vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

- Someone named UP wins this. :D But I suspect Unknown Patriot wins for storyline reasons.

Hugh de Aske vs. Nigel Svensson

- I think de Aske's push continues.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Sean Deeley

- Sentimental pick, since I love Triple D and I'm not a Deely fan, but Deely is by far the more talented.

NEO Tag Team: American Joshis vs. Sensational Powerful ©

- One title change is enough. And SenPow is too good a team not to get a good run with the belts to establish them.

Bradford Peverell vs. Frankie Perez vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

- I thought Masked Patriot left, but I guess not. I think Perez' overness and this is his debut he picks up the win.

Lurker checking in. :) I need to do a better job of commenting on these boards. I do read a lot and enjoy the effort everyone puts forth at entertaining everyone. But this has been one of my favorites that has come up recently and one of the first I look to see if it has an update. Awesome job. Now....

NEO Generation: The Unknown Patriot vs. Ultimate Phoenix ©

I think he'll at least win by DQ, maybe get the belt, but I don't think this will be the end of these two.

Hugh de Aske vs. Nigel Svensson

Nigel is easily one of my favorite future workers...but, I don't see him winning here. But I'm happy he's around.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Sean Deeley

DDD has been one of my favorites in this dynasty, so picking from my heart I'll go with him.

NEO Tag Team: American Joshis vs. Sensational Powerful ©

I agree with everyone, I like the titles where they are.

Bradford Peverell vs. Frankie Perez vs. Jared Johnson vs. Masked Patriot

Perez winning just makes sense as he's the most ready to jump up the ranks.

Tim Westybrook!? Tim Westybrook is our new NEO Generation champion! - C-

Overall: C

Show Thoughts: Westybrook and Phoenix have terrible chemistry, that's just great. Though, they still got a C so I guess it could have been worse. At least I know I can put the two in a single match and it will get a solid grade even with the chem problems. Of course I can only dream of what that match would have been with neutral or God forbid positive chemistry.

If you didn't figure out with Nigel's victory, he just signed with TCW. Of course, he complained about doing the job and of course I didn't care. Making matters worse I want Nigel was a face which didn't help the ratings any. Truth be total I totally f'ed up Nigel Svensson's debut as somehow he slipped threw the cracks and he debuted without a gimmick. So his gimmick rating is now a E and I'm stuck for a couple of month. Though, I am impressed that even with the crap gimmick rating he still was able to take Hugh's overness and jumped from E+ to D- in the Great Lakes.

On the other side of the coin. The fans basically jizzed in their pants for babyface Sean Deeley. His legitimate athlete gimmick got an A* rating.

Tim Westybrook ? Westybrook! Nice ! I like this guy. In the '97 mod, he's one of the few guys I always try to bring in my promotion. A good surprise too, 'cause other than the note about the Canadian accent, I don't remember any clue pointing to anyone specific under the mask.

Well, there is a reason for that. As you know Smith was suppose to be the The Unknown Patriot, but since he left I was in a rock and hard place. So I just put Westybrook under the mask for no apparent reason. :o

Hell, I still don't have a reason for it and I've had weeks since I played through this part of the diary to come up with one. Oh well, I guess if Vince McMahon can be the higher power, Tim Westybrook can be The Unknown Patriot. :D

Nice show (and it would have been even if I didn't get my predictions 100% correct as well :p).

Westybrook was a really good surprise as I'd never thought of him being under the hood, but it wasn't a let-down at all. Who needs motives for a guy to don a mask outside of getting the psychological advantage to gain the NEO title? This is wrestling, dammit! :D

Pretty impressive that he and Phoenix could get a C with bad chemistry, too...

NEO Great Beginnings 2011

• Tim Westybrook as NEO Generation that a 30 minute time limit just isn't enough for him to do "his thing" in ring. Commissioner Jake Sawyer has granted his request and has set a new time limit for all main events (and all title matches in the case they are not the main event) from 30 minutes to a full hour.

• Speaking of the demands of Tim Westybrook , our new champion has also demanded that his first title defense take place at Great Beginnings 2011 and against the 22 year old man from Sweden, Nigel Svensson. While Commissioner Jake Sawyer was not happy about being given more "demands" from Westybrook, he did say that wasn't going to refuse the right of the champion's choice to defend his belt, especially when the quality of the opponent is so high.

• Former champion Ultimate Phoenix is also in action as he takes on the Arrogant Brendon Idol in singles competition for the first time.

• Two of the brightest prospects in the wrestling world kick off 2011 as Arthur Dexter Bradley and Bradford Peverell go one on one.

Quick Picks

Brendan Idol vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Sean Deeley vs. Marc Speed

I almost went for the Neptune Twins to give Sensationally Powerful another challenger, but then saw sense. Equally I almost went for Flash, JJ and Patriot for the same reason... but just couldn't do it. Erik Strong doesn't deserve it.

Bradford Peverell defeated Arthur Dexter Bradley in 9:39 by pinfall with a Dream Left Hook. - D+

Notes: Arthur Dexter Bradley and Bradford Peverell have great chemistry, and it showed in their performances. There were times when there was a definite lack of psychology on display, and the match had a tendency to drift a little. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

Frankie Perez comes out and complains about Nigel getting a title shot and him not being on the card at all. Sawyer comes out with his backup Danny Patterson. He says that Tim requested this match himself, but agrees that Perez is worthy of a title shot, which is why Sawyer already put him in a number one contender's match with Ultimate Phoenix next month. - D+

American Joshis defeated The Neptune Twins in 5:53 when Jaime Quine defeated Kathy Neptune by pinfall with a K.O. Kick. - E+

Notes: Kathy Neptune is starting to become a little stale in her current role. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Jen Neptune is improving in Performance skills.

Bradford Peverell is in the ring and rips apart The Neptunes, telling them they are just like Jefferson Stardust, losers. He says he's dumping them. Before leaving he also mentions that he's found some "real" T & A and will be seeing them very soon. - D-

Notes: Kathy Neptune is starting to become a little stale in her current role.

Dark Star and Sensationally Powerful defeated The American Flash, Masked Patriot and Jared Johnson in 7:29 when Dark Star defeated The American Flash by pinfall with a Dark Sault. - E+

Notes: Sienna DeVille did some good work at ringside. Mary Beth Chase has now switched to a Street Fighter gimmick. It has gotten an initial B rating. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Dark Star is improving in Rumble skills. Dark Star is improving in Technical skills.

Sienna and Dark Star cut a promo hyping their upcoming match with Tim Westybrook and Ultimate Phoenix (which will be take place latter this month). They also hint at bringing a new member into their fold. - D-

Notes: This segment brought the crowd's mood down.

Ultimate Phoenix defeated Brendan Idol in 18:07 by pinfall with a Phoenix Firebird Splash. - C-

Notes: Brendan Idol and Ultimate Phoenix just don't click at all, and it showed in their performances. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Brendan Idol is improving in Flying skills.

Ultimate Phoenix had an interview hyping his upcoming triangle match with Tim Westybrook and Dark Star Erik Strong, saying may the best man win. - C-

Overall: C-

Show Thoughts: And I'm not going to lie, I totally pulled an infinitywpi here with the title match and accidently gave Nigel the win and the belt! >_

I guess it's not a huge loss for Nigel to get the belt since gives me a couple of storylines play off of this moment. Also the major stuff with Tim that I really wanted/needed to do was completed at this show. Plus Nigel's Great Lakes popularity is now in the D range so it's not like he's going to be steal that much more popularity from the other main eventers. Sucks to see Tim's pop get chopped to a D- though. At least the NEO Generation title is now in the B range in terms of prestige. :)

UP and Idol having awful chemistry was fate. They actually had some history that could have had turned into a feud, but no this game hates me.

And it was cool having the jumping to The Asylum happening at the start of a year. Though I would have loved to see that minus sign disappear from the overall grade. I guess that's what I get for having some of those angles run for six minutes long to improve the entertainment stats.
