Board effort towards a fictional universe...

<p>Ok do we want to use the Cverse's tv shows and ppv networks or are we going to invent our own (Both are ok with me but I may wait a bit before trying to do ALL of the tv network logos, id like to tackle the cverse ones first)</p><p> </p><p>

Also I was thinking it might be an idea to have at least one tv show per company (even if the tv show is not active at the beginning of the game).</p>

Side Note

 

Does anyone know where I can find some cheap/free mask for Poser? I can render the other workers and whatnot, but I'm afraid I have no mask. :o

 

P.S.

 

To address an earlier comment creatively I thought it would be awesome if the game world had it's own TV networks and locations, but so far no one has expressed an interest in doing them so we might go with defaults.

 

The way I see it, anyone that's interested in a particular part of the project can work on it if they're interested. :)

Also, right now on top of SAW I have 3 promotions I plan on doing:

 

1. A small all womens promotion in Canada or the states. The states look like they're shaping up so well that I'm leaning Canada.

 

2. The United States developmental territory PUSA - mostly a small extension of the SAW roster.

 

And depending on how everyone else feels about this idea...

 

3. An epic global promotion in Europe that will have dev territories in France, Germany and Italy. The major promotion in the game I guess. I kind of like the idea of Europe being the wrestling epicenter. :)

 

Will leave Japan and Mexico to people that have a clue about the areas. ^_^

I'm not a huge fan of this one, but it's only $5 which is the cheapest one I can think of. With transparency maps you could potentially get quite a bit of use out of it.

Here is my go at a render for this MOD. Let me know what everyone thinks.

 

 

 

I chose this background b/c using this lighting which I got from the link below works best with this off white/grey background. I would suggest we all become uniform in the way we make renders so it look as good as the GDSverse sebs is working on but also so we all like them. I obviously like them as close to the originals that came with the Cverse and along the lines of my attached but am willing to adjust in a way that helps us all.

I don't have very many morphs etc for M3 so I'm using mostly Morph loader and self made texture files for my renders. Most people don't render that way though so there is a style clash. We'll figure it out though :)

These are some seriously beautiful renders.

 

Id be happy to make the tv groups/ppv groups, though like I say, itll be a while before I have the time to sort logos for them all. Guess it fits considering the promotion im making is owned by a tv corporation.

Going to study for a bit but will keep track of this topic ^_^

 

machine, do you have M4+morphs? If not, what morphs etc. are you using? I ask because I don't have the tools to make my renders stylistically the same as yours. If you have the same morphs and models etc. that I do or vice versa if the stuff that you're using is inexpensive enough though that I can afford it then we should be able to make our renders more alike. ^_^

Impact New York (iNY)

Biography: iNY is a relatively new promotion in its current incarnation. Originally known as UHW (Ultimate Hardcore Wrestling), the license was bought out by the UBO tv network in January 06 with aims for expansion, but the project stalled and was eventually shelved along with the promotion.

 

Two years later, the license was forced on Executive Producer Christian Wolfe as his punishment after being caught in a public sex scandal.

 

Taking stock of the situation, Wolfe saw the wrestling industry's growing need to move into the digital world, and so Impact New York was born. Mixing fast paced, high flying wrestling with mainstream entertainment segments, iNY has a style aimed squarely at the internet generation.

 

In an interview it was asked if Wolfe really thought iNY could be successful. Many fans blame him for the demise of UHW and all videos of matches uploaded to Impact.com are flooded with spiteful comments.

"At least they're watching." joked Wolfe.

Hey guys how do you feel about the way I'm rendering? If you guys would prefer something less photo realistic I can start rendering that way. More Cverse like maybe? I don't mind either way so don't be afraid to say what you prefer. :)

 

I'll post up a couple of styles tomorrow and we can figure something out. ^_^

It's completely free and comes with the morphs pre-loaded. Easy to use once you get the hang of it and can produce some really good results. Most of my recent stuff for the C-verse 75 and 86 mods has been with Apollo. It can get a bit cartoony if you go too extreme on the morphs, but it's a pretty versatile figure. There's quite a bit of decent free content floating around on Renderosity as well. I'd say it's set on a pure white or light grey, which is why the eyes are standing out in such stark contrast to the rest of the render. Try setting it to a pure black and see if that makes a difference.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, on the lighting issue, I use a setup similar to the one weidt posted in the WMMA2 render thread that machinesxe linked. If/When I get a chance to contribute some renders, they'll likely be in a style very similar to that.</p>
