<p>Moving the initials to the skyline. I see what you did there... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Nice! (but it's not my promotion so who knows what the final verdict will be, eh)</p>

<p>Thanks for the tips. I'll try this out <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jtlant" data-cite="jtlant" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="22990" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>You might consider using Apollo Max if you don't have enough morphs for M3. It's completely free and comes with the morphs pre-loaded. Easy to use once you get the hang of it and can produce some really good results. Most of my recent stuff for the C-verse 75 and 86 mods has been with Apollo. It can get a bit cartoony if you go too extreme on the morphs, but it's a pretty versatile figure. There's quite a bit of decent free content floating around on Renderosity as well. Here's the link to the Apollo website...<p> </p><p> <a href="http://www.antonkisieldesigns.com/~akfiles/htmlpages/ApolloMaximusFree3dhumanfigure.htm" rel="external nofollow">http://www.antonkisieldesigns.com/~akfiles/htmlpages/ApolloMaximusFree3dhumanfigure.htm</a></p><p> </p><p> Also, you might want to check what color the highlight/specular setting is for the eyes (in particular, the eye whites) on the male figures in the renders you posted. I'd say it's set on a pure white or light grey, which is why the eyes are standing out in such stark contrast to the rest of the render. Try setting it to a pure black and see if that makes a difference.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, on the lighting issue, I use a setup similar to the one weidt posted in the WMMA2 render thread that machinesxe linked. If/When I get a chance to contribute some renders, they'll likely be in a style very similar to that.</p></div></blockquote>

I guess I'll go ahead and toss this up here now, as I don't think it'll make it into the 86 mod...

I haven't done much work on this in the past couple of days, as I've been dealing with a raging toothache, but I figured I might as well go ahead and post this in here.

The CLAW

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/dvdWarrior/CLAW.jpg?t=1244452946

Biography:

The CLAW is an often-praised young promotion based out of The Live Action Arena in Chicago. They’re known for their exciting, fast-paced but generally very realistic match-ups, and became something of a cult phenomenon on the strength of the brutal battles between Apache Joe and Ricardo "The Beast" Ruiz throughout 2007.

The company was formed in August 2006, by AFC founding member K.J. Karter, as a way to recoup the losses of his struggling franchise, and, given his lack of experience in the industry, "The LaRue Crew" was brought in to oversee the day-to-day running of the company.

Due to Karter’s rather lofty status in life, they boast a hefty checkbook, but even with his considerable influence, their niche product may struggle to find a national audience. Still, they’re seen by many as the promotion to watch in the coming years.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/dvdWarrior/CLAWProduct-1.jpg?t=1244454757

They'd either be Cultish or Regional - they rarely if ever leave the Great Lakes area, but they have a pretty good-sized following there.

Here's Karter's bio while I'm here:

"Chicago's Own" K.J. Karter, (born October 28, 1980), is a founding member of the Arena Football Commission, and part owner of the Chicago Hitmen. When the football buzz died down in August of 2006, he quickly created his own wrestling promotion - The CLAW - in a bid to expand his wealth and influence. Astonishingly, when it came to the inner workings of modern wrestling, his bark was a lot worse than his bite, and he soon had to bring in lightweight star John Boy LaRue to book his shows.

And, as a bonus, Apache Joe's bio:

Apache Joe, (real name Joey Red Cloud, born January 13, 1983), is a stiff, modern-style fighter from New Mexico, best known as The CLAW's biggest name - both in terms of pure size, and star power. He loves to work in Japan, where he's honed his suplexes and his backdrop driver to bone-jarring perfection, and where he's developed a knife-edge chop that can turn a man's chest to hamburger meat in no time. No surprise that he became the first ever CLAW Arena Champion, holding the title for a full calender year before losing it to Johnny Dallas at Fight, Scratch, and CLAW 2 in 2007. Since then, he's been a consistent main eventer, and has even been called the company's ACE a time or two. Little known fact: he's really the older brother of fellow CLAW star Billy Red Cloud, AKA Burning Thunder.

Oh, and just for kicks and giggles....

The Live Action Arena - The Live Action Arena is an ultra-modern venue custom-built to be The CLAW's home base. The Chicago Hitmen play their home games here too.

It's currently set at Small, in the Great Lakes region, and marked as a wrestling hotbed. Setting could be whatever's normal for the Great Lakes region in the mod.

I also created an MTV-style tv network called "Crash-TV". It has nothing to do with The CLAW, but it came to me, so I threw it in here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I said, I haven't got much done on this yet, (life issues, the toothache, my other mods in TEW, yadda yadda yadda), but I figured I could go ahead and post some of my stuff, just to see what some of you folks might think of it. I dunno how satisfied I am with any of this yet, I might change a few things later, but I think this might be pretty good for a start. Hope so anyway.

hmm are you creating the relationships ingame? I ask, just because you can't import relationship files and if you want them in the mod, you'll need to record them to a txt file or something that you can then pass on to Kobe or whoever is in charge of the course mod files.

You may know this already, but then you may not as well.

How do you guys feel about relationships in the game? I think I might have gone a tad bit overboard with them because as of last count I have 42 of them. To me they enhance the game and make it a little more diffcult.

Well, it depends on how many characters you're talking about, but 42 does seem like quite a bit. Maybe a little more background into how many characters and how many of each type of relationship you've added?

So far I have done about 79 bios for three different promotions. One of the biggest thing is that their is a promotion where there are five brothers and a father (Based on the Von Erich's) and so obvioulsy a good portion of bios are between them (just counted and it is 16 out of 32).

Ok, that's really not bad at all then, those family relationships add up quickly. Especially spread across three promotions, that sounds about right.

Since I'm posting, I might as well add the profile for KP-1. I've also decided to change the home region to Hokkaido, if that's not a problem. Though I don't think there are any other Japanese promotions announced yet anyways. :D

Based in Hokkaido

High Regional status with a strong following in Hokkaido (D+ pop) and a good base in Tohoku (E+ pop). Known throughout the rest of Japan, but not particularly popular anywhere else yet (high E- or E pop).

Product - Modern Key, Realism Heavy, Traditional Medium. Intensity 85%, Danger 60%.

Profile - Though Katana Pro-1 is a relatively recent addition to the Japanese scene, having been founded in the summer of 2007, they have managed to quickly establish themselves as a key player in the industry. In a country where the wrestling scene has changed very little from its golden years of the 1970s, KP-1 has been a breath of fresh air. Promoting matches that are the very definition of cutting edge, they are fought at a tremendous pace, featuring crazy dives mixed in with head-dropping suplexes and stiff strikes. This high impact style stands in sharp contrast to the mat-based traditional style that has been popular for so long and, while critics say it may lead to a high attrition rate amongst its workers, it has certainly served the young promotion well thus far.
