MaxxHexx
No fancy back story here. I find most back stories fairly unrealistic. I am just running a promotion that I added to the default data. Oh, and did I mention that this promotion has zero popularity, zero prestige, and $0 in the bank? Yeah, that is where it gets interesting. Not to mention on top of that my user character will have zero stats and popularity, making him basically useless. Pretty much this is just an average fan with no money trying to create the change he wishes to see in wrestling. A feel good story you could say I guess. The ultimate test...growing a promotion out of nothing. I added to the database International Wrestling Revolution, that's my company, American Independent Circuit Wrestling, a hard hitting realistic touring promotion based in the tri-state to give myself similar zero popularity competition (though they do have a medium sized store of cash), and local Champions League of Australian Wrestling to give APW a run for it's money. Other than that the database is stock. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWR.jpg Key - Cult/Modern Medium - Mainstream/Lucha Libre/Daredevil Low - Traditional Intensity - 60% Danger - 80% While the focus will be on the in ring work, there is still room for angles and storylines, so it should work out pretty neat. To start off my hiring I of course looked first to staff. By knowing who I would have working around me I can better know where the company stands, plus knowing what I have to pay key individuals lets me know how much I can dish out on wrestlers, which judging by the relatively small size of the company will not be much. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWRbanner.jpg Key Staff http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/MartinTheocott_alt1.jpg - A high school sports announcer. Though he isn't super strong in his field he is cheap and will do for now. $250 http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/XanderSummer.jpg - I am paying this guy a lot to just stand around in a striped shirt. Hopefully he knows what he is doing. $150 http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/ReesePaige.jpg - Ten years ago she was a promising young wrestler, now she is my road agent and commentator. Funny how things don't work out like you pictured them when you are young. She is very key though and her success or failure could be our very own assent to glory or fall in defeat. $450 I built up some capital in January with the sponsors I could get, about $3,400. After factoring in building rental, show costs and paying my staff I have about $1,800 to spend on wrestlers. He comes the scary part of the calculations. At twelve wrestlers for the roster I can on average only spend $130 on each wrestler. So much for star power. This will be a long ride.
foolinc
This looks familiar. Hopefully you'll have just as much fun from running a company totally from scratch. Can't wait to see what you do, especially considering your company's product is so different from my own.
MaxxHexx
Foolinc-Your dynasty made me remember how much I missed doing 0/0/0 games, so thank you. Not to mention that your NEO dynasty is a good read. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWRbanner.jpg IWR Presents... The 2008 Pro Wrestling Grand Prix This month what will you be doing? Will you waste your money on another PSW DVD, just to watch the same garbage? Or is your niche watching the same twenty year old puro? Forget it all, IWR has you covered. From it's inception the International Wrestling Revolution has claimed it would change wrestling, and the first step the that change is happening this February when IWR will hold the first ever Pro Wrestling Grand Prix. What is this 'Grand Prix' you ask. I'm glad you did. The Grand Prix consists of two stages. Stage one will be held over three events and will see the twelve yet to be announced wrestlers be broken into groups of four. Over the three stage one events each group will compete in a round robin. The second stage will see the group winners compete in a three way dance, with the winner of the first fall being named the winner of the 2008 Pro Wrestling Grand Prix. This event will be sure to bring the most diverse set of talent seen in the tri-state in years. There will be local standouts as well as international competitors. Don't miss the Grand Prix. Don't miss the revolution!
hrdcoresidebrns
This looks quite good. I'm interested to see who ends up on your roster. I love the small companies myself, and it's been a while since I've been able to catch a dynasty at its inception. I look forward to reading this. MaxxHexx
The first thing I realized as the booker of this company is that my standards needed to fall-way down. Everyone wanted a big payday, and with our budget, I couldn't give it. Our international superstars became guys who have wrestled out of the country a few times, and our local names became local no names. But then again, what revolution hasn't came from humble roots? http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWRbanner.jpg Pro Wrestling Grand Prix MAJOR ANNOUNCMENT! Stage One Groups Announced! The contracts are signed, the i's are dotted, and the tickets are sold. The only question is, who will be appearing? That, and off course how would they be broken into groups? This was the difficult challenge before IWR management. The spirit of International Wrestling Revolution comes from many places. From puro in the East, the catch style of Germany, lucha from Mexico and of course innovation stolen from countless corners of America. The best of it all though comes together in IWR. It is in light of this that management would like to announce the group arrangements for the 2008 Pro Wrestling Grand Prix. Out of the roster there was three clear groups. The fliers, the brawlers, and the technicians. Each group will fight it out to find the best of that style, with the winners coming together to find which style, and wrestler, is superior. On the the groups! http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/CalSanders_Bull1.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/LightningLomas.jpg Cal Sanders vs. Kevin Lomas Group A Cal Sanders is a technical flier from Winnipeg. While he has no major accolades, he does have seven years more experience than his opponent, which could be a key factor in the match. Kevin Lomas is best known as Lightning Lomas in 4C where he mostly works in tag matches with his partner Jason Thunder, but he won't have a partner in the Grand Prix. Will youth prevail? http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/RegularJoe.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/StretchTheChickenBoy.jpg Joe Benning vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Group A Joe Benning is a fresh 18 year old who recently started working with the FCW group in Puerto Rico. His relatively green status in the business makes him a favorite of the fans who wish to see his career blossom. His opponent is not much older, but is not taking the same road as Joe. Stretch The Chicken Boy is one weird dude, often putting off the fans with his odd antics. Will the crowd get their way, or will Joe's career end before it begins? http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/DaredevilAero.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/FearlessBlue.jpg Daredevil Aero vs. Fearless Blue Group B Both of these teens came straight out of Xtreme Danger Wrestling, the largest backyard fed in America. Blue is a crazed gymnast, who takes his skills in, will actually it is mostly above, the ring. Aero was born in Mexico and as a child came to America. These two have had many matches in the past which tape traders clamored over. The history between the two and their Internet fame actually makes this the most hyped match of the evening. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/GeoffBorne.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/TheAmericanFlash.jpg Geoff Borne vs. The American Flash Group B Once upon a time an American was told that his dream could not be reached, that he couldn't be a somebody. So, he headed off to the distant lands of Central Europe to carve his place in history. Now he is back to prove everyone wrong. Geoff Borne, American by birth, angry by choice. His opponent is the exact opposite. The American Flash is American, likes apple pie, and presumably plays baseball. Hailing from the Coastal Zone, his relative youth does nothing to stop his assent to stardom. This match is a real turf battle of national proportions! http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/ChristianPrice.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/MadDogMortimer.jpg Christian Prince vs. Mad Dog Mortimer Group C Christian Prince is the ultimate underdog, but that could be just because he is a regular for Canadian Golden Combat. The stud will be face to face with Mad Dog Mortimer, a veteran who has never even thought about jobbing in the hollowed halls of CGC, and he is bitter because of it. Can Prince keep the dog in the pound or is Mortimer's bite worse than his bark? http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/XavierReckless.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/Mystery.jpg Xavier Reckless vs. To Be Announced Group C Xavier Reckless was the owner of XDW and the "trainer/mentor" of Fearless Blue and Daredevil Aero. He needs to do well in the Grand Prix to prove that the teacher is better than the students. The final member of Group C is remaining a secret until the night of the event. There are many possibilities, could it be a WEXXV brawler, one of the toughest in the world? Or maybe it is one of Xavier's other pupils such as Extreme Deluxe or Super Sonic, who is known to live in the area. The possibilities are endless, so make sure you turn out for the show and find out! Quick Picks; Cal Sanders vs. Kevin Lomas Joe Benning vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Daredevil Aero vs. Fearless Blue Geoff Borne vs. The American Flash Christian Price vs. Mad Dog Mortimer Xavier Reckless vs. To Be Announced
foolinc
Cal Sanders vs. Kevin Lomas Cal's the better worker and there isn't a difference in overness Joe Benning vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Until I see otherwise, there isn't a chance in hell of Stretch winning a match Daredevil Aero vs. Fearless Blue Coinflip, but I'm going with the guy I ended up using Geoff Borne vs. The American Flash You are paying him, so you might as well push him Christian Price vs. Mad Dog Mortimer See the comment about Stretch Xavier Reckless vs. To Be Announced Reckless is good, but I'm guessing the TBA is your ace. I am some what surpirsed that you went with a more international flavor at the expensive of your check book. Though my schedule tends to be a bit aggressive, so I need to be making money in the beginning so I have it for when I make the push to Regional. NoNeck
Quick Picks; Cal Sanders vs. Kevin Lomas Pick 'em. I like Lomas too, but Sanders is a more recognizable face. Joe Benning vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Why not? Daredevil Aero vs. Fearless Blue Blue looks a bit more heelish, and the heel takes the first match in the XDW showcase. Geoff Borne vs. The American Flash I dig the American Flash mask quite a bit. Even though that's the way that my wife picks football games, by asthetics, I'm inclined to do the same here. Christian Price vs. Mad Dog Mortimer Price is right; Mortimer is wrong. Xavier Reckless vs. To Be Announced I like TBA here because it sets up a cool Reckless loses and gets teased/taunted about it by Fearless Blue angle. That could be a nice start to a full on XDW storyline and a solid heel push for Blue. Good luck, MaxxHexx. I like the concept and am looking forward to seeing where it goes. Though my schedule tends to be a bit aggressive, so I need to be making money in the beginning so I have it for when I make the push to Regional. Well it came to the point where every guy was asking for $150 and wanted $150 for travel costs, and it was worth the extra $74 or so to fly in good guys like Cal, Lomas, and Geoff. I figure that the extra money spent on them will let me grow faster toward the bigger sponsor checks that come with the small size, before I go broke. If you want I can tell you the numbers but basically a D- show (good luck with that considering who's involved) will grow you to small in about a year. Given who you have, and not knowing what kind of ratings you're able to pull, I'm guessing ~ 3 years before you rise in size. It really sucks how weighted the game is against cult sized local promotions because you get a fraction of the sponsorship that a mainstream promotion does, and at small sizes every delay can push you back months, even years. MaxxHexx
It really sucks how weighted the game is against cult sized local promotions because you get a fraction of the sponsorship that a mainstream promotion does, and at small sizes every delay can push you back months, even years. See I don't think it sucks because it is more realistic. WWE, TNA and even ROH get far more in sponsorship than IWA:MS and CZW. It adds to my challenge, because frankly as a mainstream or traditional fed 0/0/0 is fairly do able. You can afford $250 guys. As cult, not so much. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWRbanner.jpg 2008 Pro Wrestling Grand Prix - Night 1 Held In Front Of 19 In The Tri-State Saturday, Week 2, February, 2008 http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/RegularJoe.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/StretchTheChickenBoy.jpg Joe Benning vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Group A The show opens with a Block A match between Stretch and Joe. The second 'The Chicken Dance' hit the speakers the fans rained in the boos. They did not want to see him perform. As he ran around the ring he received 'the bird' many times and received several colorful remarks about his sexuality that to my knowledge can not be proven either way. It is actually stunning that a group of 19 could have so much bundled hate for one man. Interestingly enough, the same 19 had outrageously large amounts of love for Joe Benning, a man who had never before wrestled outside of Puerto Rico. Joe Benning defeated Stretch The Chicken Boy in 5:59 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold. E- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/JeffersonStardust.jpg Jefferson Stardust comes out to the ring carrying a microphone, wearing a mink skinned coat, thus naturally getting a heel reaction. "Alright, alright. I already know you love me, so could you all keep it down." Wrestling fans shutting up when told? Fat chance. "I'm Jefferson Stardust, a true celebrity. Hell, they were willing to pay for a limo to bring me up all the way from the Mid Atlantic just because they knew I could bring you people to the event. Now I know you were promised a hardcore icon tonight. A real brawling bruiser, and I know the figure they brought in as your surprise for the evening. You know, as a celebrity, I know all about the paparazzi and People Magazine. They tell every little secret even when it's not supposed to be let out. You all can consider me your own little edition of Entertainment Tonight, cause I have your scoop." Some teen in the back wearing a DaVE shirt nearly creams himself yelling about Doug Peak. "You see, just behind that curtain is Super Sonic, The Redneck Luchador!" The fans go crazy but nothing happens. No music, no flippy drunk guy. Jefferson slouches and makes a pouty face. "I guess he is not done mixing the moonshine yet, but that's ok cause I didn't want to see his slack jaw anyway. You see, Group C is supposed to be about being a brawler, but brawlers are nobodies. What world champ was a brawler? More importantly, what famous superstar was a brawler? The spotlight should be on me! not a bunch of yardtards! So I am not moving from this ring until one of those hicks in Group C sacrifices their spot in the Grad Prix to me, the star of the show! I know none of you wants to be bored watching those pieces of-" F+ http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/XavierReckless.jpg Xavier Reckless storms out from the back to the crowds avail. He rolls into the ring with fists flying. Jefferson bails from the ring in a fit, complaining about his coat. Xavier doesn't even bother with the microphone, then again, with only 19 there, who would, he just learned over the rope and spoke clearly. "Hey kid. You want in with me. Your in. I don't know who the booker is knocking out, and frankly I don't care. I am gonna teach you the meaning of hardcore!" F- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/XavierReckless.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/JeffersonStardust.jpg Xavier Reckless vs. Jefferson Stardust Group C Jefferson slowly took off his coat and began stretching out his legs. His tights which were covered in sequins drew the same reaction from the crowd as Stretch's entrance. Xavier, getting restless hit Stardust with a tope to start the match. The rest of the contest didn't go much better for the celebrity who was unable to get any offence in before Xavier was able to hit his slingshot DDT for the win. Xavier Reckless defeated Jefferson Stardust in 2:48 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT. E- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/ChristianPrice.jpg Christian Price comes out to the ring, well doused in water to make his full physic glisten. Not only is he the most chiseled man in the Grand Prix, he is also the largest, nearly crossing from middleweight territory and into heavyweight ground. "People like to call me 'The Stud', and while I don't mind, I would rather be called Christian, or even better Chris. I want to tell you had an story. You see I was born on a farm in Montreal. While you all were doing the dishes and vacuuming, I was cutting down trees and plowing fields. Building character. It was always expected that I would stick around on the farm, that I would become my father and have my own kids who I would exploit like slave labor. I told them that I was going to become a wrestler they laughed. When they found out I was serious, they were silent. They kicked me out because I wouldn't devot my entire existance to their farm. In wrestling the underdog is the one who isn't supposed to win. I work for CGC, no small promotion, and I am often considered the underdog being a younger roster member. That is nothing though to being an underdog in life. Do you realize what it took for me to work my way here. I am a long ways from home, and I refuse to disapoint. I refuse to let the fans down, I refuse to let myself down. Mad Dog, I know you ahve had your trials and I respect you, but if you think I am gonna go down tonight, you thought wrong. So get your duff out here, cause The Stud is ready to rumble!" That being said I don't think any of our fans would watch it, they don't really like him for some reason. Thats to bad cause he seems like a nice guy. They don't like Mad Dog either. He has the personallity of a sack of potatoes and the looks to match, and that would be considered a complement. Price has a clear power advantage and easily man handles Mad Dog. The only advantages Mortier gets are when he uses cheap tactics, and even then Christian can still typically use his strength to succeed. Christian Price defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 5:05 by pinfall with a Price Check. A true cult crowd if I have ever seen one I guess. Flash really seemed to be thrown off his game by it, being used to being a clear face, not working well with Geoff who did proform well. They did over come some of their adversity though through near falls. They eventually ended up on the outside, ignoring the referee's count they continues throwing each other into chairs and throwing fists in the crowd. Geoff Borne drew with The American Flash in 7:55 following a double count out. MaxxHexx
For pick'em I figured I would just keep track of who is doing how well, make it a little incentive to give feedback. Lets just say the winner gets more than just respect, but more on that when it comes. When it comes to pick'em rankings, I like to throw out the draws. rather than count them as incorrect. When in the ring it is all business. When backstage, rather than joking around, shooting the bull, and pulling ribs, he is stretching, warming up his cardio, or practicing submissions on random pieces of furniture. Inside the sport we see this devotion as pride in the business. To the outside Cal's tactics may make him look like a freak, but the real freak is his opponent. Stretch lost last month and should be looking to take a page from Cal's book-get serious and get a win before he is eliminated from the Grand Prix. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/LightningLomas.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/RegularJoe.jpg Kevin Lomas vs. Joe Benning Group A These two technicians look to lock up on night two, both seeking to continue to impress on their first tours of the Tri-State, and hopefully impress their way into the Grand Prix finals. This will be a challenge for Lomas who already is one match down, but victory is easily in the sights of Joe who already picked up one win last month. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/DaredevilAero.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/TheAmericanFlash.jpg Daredevil Aero vs. The American Flash Group B After Night One the Group B standings were locked in a four way tie. This is a chance to break away from the pack for two men that the entire crowd are not fulling inclined to see. Interestingly the gritty cult Internet fans dislike Flash for his reliance on flips and dives, but love Aero for his XDW experience. Normal indy fans love the American spirit in Flash, but find Aero's lack of a wrestling background distasteful. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/FearlessBlue.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/GeoffBorne.jpg Fearless Blue vs. Geoff Borne Group B These two are also in the deadlock that is Group B. A loss by that man would end his run, a victory would only continue the struggle. Mad Dog tried his best last month but came up short. Now, he has no way to prepare for his opponent. Will he ever be able to capture a victory in thes years Grand Prix? MaxxHexx
Due to Xander Summer's inferior work at last months show he has been released. Coach Norman has been brought in form Canada as his replacement. Martin and Reese did surprisingly well together, commentating the matches with great chemistry, and remain the the announcers booth for this show. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/IWRbanner.jpg IWR Pro Wrestling Grand Prix 2008 - Night 2 Held In Front Of 12 In The Tri-State Saturday, Week 2, March, 2008 http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/LightningLomas.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/RegularJoe.jpg Kevin Lomas vs. Joe Benning Group A This was a technical affair. In the end Lomas was able to counter the Joe and Behold and finish Joe with his Lightning Lock ankle twist. Both men now have one win and one loss in the Grand Prix. Kevin Lomas defeated Joe Benning in 8:23 by pinfall. Prince will have a long road to get them to accept him. These two brawlers both had better matches than they did at the last show, and meshed together well in the ring. Xavier proved better though catching Christian with the Slingshot DDT out of no where when Price was attempting a shoulder tackle. Xavier Reckless defeated Christian Price in 6:21 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT. E- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/EricBlackley_Marshall1.jpg Eric Blackley comes out of the crowd immediately following the match. He rolls Christian out of the ring with his foot before grabbing a microphone. He looks at Xavier who is reclined in the corner of the ring. “Go on scat cat, we are done with you.” He is wearing a nice black hat, sunglasses, and a fancy looking outfit complete with trendy black vest. “By we of course I mean me and Jefferson. He may have failed last month, but this month I will continue the quest and show that technical skills are superior to your hardcore brawler ways. Tonight Reckloose your toothless hick ass may have been successful, but at the end of the Grand Prix, I will be on top. You know why? Because I am a celebrity and I have a career. I’m the Tom Cruise of this promotion. Everyone follows me! I am the Miley Cyrus of independent wrestling, everyone knows who I am! I am the Madonna of-” F- http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/MadDogMortimer.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/EricBlackley_Marshall1.jpg Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Eric Blackley Group C Mad Dog has waited long enough and comes out. Before he gets in the ring Xavier gives him a quick pep talk. They may be opponents next month but Reckless does not want to see Blackly win this match. Eric strips out of his cloths, revealing his gear underneath. Unfortunately whenever the brawler tried to mount offense Blackley had his number and always grounded him. Eventually Eric locked in the crossface STF to get the submission. Eric got more heat than Jefferson. He smartly exited through the curtain rather than the crowd where he came cause he may have gotten himself lynched going that way. Eric Blackley defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 5:43 by submission. F Geoff Borne enters to a mix of cheers and boos. He is carrying a European Union flag. “See this,“ holding the flag in the air, “This is the true symbol of freedom. America means nothing. Last month I showed I have what it takes to be a champion, and I would have been victorious if that cowardly Yankee, The American Flash would have let me come back in the ring.“ Crowd boos as Geoff intentionally stayed out of the ring during that match last month. “Now my Turncoat Revolution comes to a head. I am calling on more dissatisfied Americans to join me and embrace the opportunities abroad. Tonight Blue, you will go down. Another day, another American defeated.” F http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/FearlessBlue.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/GeoffBorne.jpg Fearless Blue vs. Geoff Borne Group B Blue caught Geoff off guard several times with his speed and unique twist to popular moves. Geoff though did have the superior experience after all those years in Europe, and so he comes out on top via his top rope Cancun Tornado, the Borne Again. Geoff Borne defeated Fearless Blue in 8:13 by pinfall with a Borne Again. E http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/DaredevilAero.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/TheAmericanFlash.jpg Daredevil Aero vs. The American Flash Group B As Flash came out to the ring he was struck from behind by Geoff who after his match rather than go to the locker room, hid in the crowd. After stomping Flash a few times he rolled him into the ring so Aero could begin working on him. Both men though seemed more preoccupied by outdoing each other with flips, than selling the beat down and putting together a coherent match, not clicking at all. Daredevil Aero defeated The American Flash in 6:04 by pinfall with an Aerosault. Crowd cheered for Cal’s thing, they scratched their heads at Stretch’s thing. Cal remained the Grand Prix favorite with another dominate win. Cal Sanders defeated Stretch The Chicken Boy in 10:29 by pinfall. E Final Show Grade - E Thoughts-Another show, I wouldn't say solid show, but it wasn't worse than last months except the slight fall in attendance. The technical Group A are clearly getting the best response from the crowd, but several others are doing well in the other groups. This next show will be big as it determines what three men will enter the final match of the Grand Prix. It also will be the last show that is formatted with the round robin structure that has the same guys every week in one on one matches, so hopefully more fresh faces will be good. We lost -$876, so a little more than last month, leaving $1,718 in the bank. We have grown another 0.6% in the Tri-State. Group A 1. Cal Sanders 2-0-0 2. Joe Benning 1-1-0 2. Kevin Lomas 1-1-0 4. Stretch The Chicken Boy 0-2-0 Group B 1. Daredevil Aero 1-0-1 1. Geoff Borne 1-0-1 3. Fearless Blue 0-1-1 3. The American Flash 0-1-1 Group C 1. Xavier Reckless 2-0-0 2. Eric Blackley 1-0-0 3. Christian Price 1-1-0 4. Jefferson Stardust 0-1-0 5. Mad Dog Mortimer 0-2-

Will this help him get another win and guarantee him a spot in the finals? Joe Benning sure hopes not. A win here would allow him to tie Cal for the lead in the group. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/LightningLomas.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/StretchTheChickenBoy.jpg Kevin Lomas vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Group A Kevin Lomas is not in the same boat as Joe Benning, but his boat is not far behind. If Joe wins and Kevin also wins then Lomas would be part of the tie for supremacy in Group A. Stretch though will try to salvage some dignity and get his first win of the Grand Prix, hoping to stop Joe in the process. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/DaredevilAero.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/GeoffBorne.jpg Daredevil Aero vs. Geoff Borne Group B These are the top two in Group B, so a win here for either will lock them up with a spot in the finals. Aero may not be American, but he does align himself with the American XDW company, and that doesn't stand well with Geoff, who will look to further promote his international values. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/FearlessBlue.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/TheAmericanFlash.jpg Fearless Blue vs. The American Flash Group B Two of the top fliers in IWR are fighting not for points in the Grand Prix, but rather for glory. Neither have any true shot at making it to the finals, but both do want to be brought onto more shows after the Grand Prix so a win here is key. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/MadDogMortimer.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/XavierReckless.jpg Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Xavier Reckless Group C It's the top of the group against the bottom of the barrel. Will Xavier come out on top, without a loss heading into the finals? Or will Mad Dog redeem himself and maybe earn a spot on future shows? http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/ChristianPrice.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/iwrvssmall.jpghttp://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g292/MaxxHexx/IWR/SuperSonic_alt1.jpg Christian Price vs. Super Sonic Group C Super Sonic has been screwed out of the Grand Prix for two months straight, first by the pompous Jefferson Stardust who had his challenge accepted by Xavier Reckless before he could point out that the match was his. Then last month when Sonic was planned as the surprise reentrant into the Grand Prix, Eric Blackley came out of the crowd and stole his spot. Though Eric got a win, he was told that he is not welcome in IWR due to his disrespectful attitude. Now Sonic will have his chance to get some of the spotlight and show the crowd why he is part of the revolution. Christian Price is not gonna just give up a win, remember he has a chance to still go to the finals, but I win is a must for that dream to continue. Quick Picks; Cal Sanders vs. Joe Benning Kevin Lomas vs. Stretch The Chicken Boy Daredevil Aero vs. Geoff Borne Fearless Blue vs. The American Flash Mad Dog Mortimer vs. Xavier Reckless Christian Price vs. Super Sonic
