Moderndaywarrior
Sweet, Calaway with the win! I wouldn't sweat Oliver, when my wrestler first signed with PNW it took me a good 2 months before I was able to take him down, and that was with a wrestler who I'd been building up for 8 months already. Nice match ratings; being able to consistently able to pull out some D's and C's at that level of (in)expierience shows good potential.....if nothing else you're already "carryable" lol. I was surprised that I was wrestling Oliver so soon. He's a main eventer plus we ended up as the main event for the TV show. Mean Mark is only 18 years old, so he's got plenty of growing to do. I have set up some targets for some of his skills based on the skill points that he has when I first started a journal with him with "Wrestling Spirit". Those numbers are as of the first week in February, 1984. Hopefully Mark will earn enough so that I can reach those goals and then some before the summer of '84 for a possible call to Fritz Von Erich. Moderndaywarrior
Picked up some revenge on Lanny Poffo's evil twin and his buddy, the poor man's JYD, nice! Start to make a mark in PNW as well with your first win on Colt, even if he did take the rubber match;I guess Don Owen decided to push him now instead of in the later 80's like IRL. Good match grades, pulling in the C range so often is showing that awesome potential;most times my rookies are lucky to pull D's....even my technician rookie who I got a lucky roll with that has stat potential on Ric Flair levels was lucky to do that well, took 15 months to get to the point of being able to put on C matches regular, and even then he still breaks out a grade F stinkbomb sometimes if the guy in there with him isn't so hot. I had Colt on the brink right after the lariat in the hardcore match but decided to drag the match out to get some more big (wow) moves in to boost the rating. He still has a way to go though, popularity wise, to catch me. I'm thinking of adding the other wrestlers that are being posted here, Misawa & "Double A". I'll do it if you will get the "enforcer" going again.

Now if you can just slap Chris Colt around a few more times life will be good.....I loved those "old school" promotions like PNW,SECW,SWCW....so much fun to work for....worthless trivia: PNW is where George Wagner first developed the "Georgeous George" character and "Portland Wrestling" was the first regional wrestling show to air regularly on TV...it was also one of the long running non-news programs of all time. D. Boons Ghost
Hey now, Chris Colt was a tremendously underrated talent. In my games I am always happy to put him over. Seriously, If you've never heard much of him, check out this awesome Colt blurb from The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame: The Heels; a great book. After researching the guy, I gained a huge amount of respect for his talents (and antics). He was so far ahead of the trend curve, it's not even funny. Anyway... this is a fun read. Thanks! Moderndaywarrior
Great match and a nice win! Boone is good match for you in the lower card as he's tough enough to make a good match but not so tough you can't handle him,he's also got the "right" kind of moves for a match with Calaway;decent looking moves but realistic enough to buy into Boone being effective against Calaway with them.
