Things Fall Apart...

March 2007 - BREAKING NEWS

EDD STONE FIRED FROM NOTBPW

In shocking news, Edd Stone has been fired from North of the Border Pro Wrestling by his father and owner of the federation, Dan Stone Sr. Backstage sources cite Stone's attitude and consistent lateness to major events as a major factor, with him skipping the Ed Henson Memorial Cup as the straw that broke the camel's back.

DUANE STONE LEAVES NOTBPW FOR BHOTWG

Backstage sources have informed us that Duane Stone has decided to leave NOTPBW effective immediately to join Japan's Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods. Stone had received several offers to tour overseas in the past few years, but hadn't felt until now that it was neccessary for him to take an absence from his father's company. Wrestling fans might remember Stone wrestling for BHOTWG in the late 1990's as the masked Black Cobra. While the split was reportedly amicable, there is no timetable for if or when Stone will return to wrestling in Canada

SEAN MCFLY BREAKS ANKLE, OUT INDEFINITELY

NOTBPW suffered as major blow tonight as top star, Sean McFly, suffered a major ankle injury in a match with Johnny Bloodstone. McFly was able to finish the match but needed to be helped backstage. There is currently no word on how long McFly is expected to be on the shelf.

October 2007 - BREAKING NEWS

EDD STONE JOINS TCW, RIPS FATHER IN LIVE INTERVIEW

After several months of being MIA in the wrestling scene, Edd Stone made his shocking surprise debut at a live TCW event. Stone took the time to rip his father calling him, "an old man who lives in the past", and also mentioned NOTBPW on live television, calling the company a "sinking ship" without him.

2007 had been a rough year for us.

I remember during the company meeting, when I was told that I would be in control of the company's booking responsibilities, I could see the lack of passion in Dan Stone's eyes. His voice sounded resigned, too. It was understandable. He had started this federation to showcase the skills of his children, and now two of his own had gone to greener pastures.

We had just finished our final major event of the year (Winter War), to mixed reviews. While people loved seeing Jeremy and Dan Stone Jr. wrestle, the common criticism was that the product was becoming repetitive. We weren't expanding our product beyond Canada. Globalizing was going to be the only solution if we were going to compete with the big boys in North America.

I had two simple goals: make new stars and expand our product as much as humanly possible. NOTBPW wasn't the same as everybody in the company had once remembered it, but it was my duty to make sure we carried on ... for better or worse.

The initial meeting with Dan was straight and to the point. I was going to handle the booking work and try to meet his expectations:

The financial balance of the company must have improved to $7,500,000 in two and a half years time.

Jeremy Stone must be as over as he currently is in Canada in two years time.

Dan Stone Jr. must have a strong momentum in two years time.

I can't hire wrestlers with below-average athletic ability.

I can't hire wrestlers who are luchadores.

The last card Dan Stone booked on his own was Winter War:

NOTBPW World Title - Triangle Match

Johnny Bloodstone © def John Maverick and Dan Stone Jr.

Stone Jr. and Maverick both had to defeat opponents earlier in the

month to qualify for this match. Dan had defeated Dark Angel in one of

their typical sensational matches while Maverick scored the biggest

win in his NOTBPW career by defeating Jeremy Stone, who had been

injured in a pre-match backstage attack by Bloodstone.

The triangle match itself was quite competitive. At first, Maverick

and Bloodstone took turns beating on Stone Jr., but their alliance was

short lived. In the end, it appeared that Maverick was going to claim

the championship after hitting the Deadly Silence on Bloodstone, but it was

Dan who broke up the pin with only a moment to spare. Stone was able

to get Maverick in the Stone Ankle Stretch and almost get a submission

before Bloodstone came out of nowhere and nearly decapitated Dan with

a kick to the head. With Dan out of commission from the kick,

Bloodstone was able to lock in the Bloodstone Mutilation on Maverick

to earn a quick tapout and and escape with the title he's held since

last July.

After the match, Bloodstone announced that he had been becoming bored with his competition (despite never defeating either Stone brother in a singles match) and sent out an open challenge to any top wrestler in the world to challenge him.

UP NEXT: INITIAL ROSTER OVERVIEW

Reviewing Our Current Roster

It was clear that our roster was growing thinner by the minute. Thankfully, Dan had given me permission to offer contracts to outside talent and try to open up some working agreements with other companies. However, I wanted to take a look at our talent as it stands at the start of 2008:

In Ring Talent

Alysian Scottsfield (The Demolition Crew)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/AlysianScottsfield.jpg

From: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada / Age: 51

Height: 6 ft 1 Weight: 255 lbs

Finisher: Saskatchewan Pancake

Accomplishments: 4x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (One reign with Craig Prince, three reigns with Larry Wood), Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (1999, with Larry Wood)

Scottsfield has been around the Canadian wrestling scene for centuries, and it is likely Dan Stone's loyalty to him that has allowed Scottsfield to stay on the roster at 51 years old. At this point, keeping him protected in the Destruction Crew with Derek Frost in short matches is the best I will be able to get out of him until he decides to retire for good.

Craig Green (The Kelowna Players)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/CraigGreen.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/NOTBPW_Tag_alt.jpg

From: Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada / Age: 30

Height: 5 ft 9 Weight: 195 lbs

Finisher: VIP Pass

Accomplishments: 2x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with Gregg Boone), Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2004, with Gregg Boone)

It's honestly beyond me how The Kelowna Playaz have been rewarded with two tag team title reigns. I've always bit my tongue at Dan, but I've never understood what he sees in Green or Boone. They're not over with the crowd, they're below average in the ring and neither has shown much improvement since their debut 2005. Green does show slightly more promise than his tag team partner, and I do have some plans for him, but there's no excuse for him to be holding a title.

Dallas McWade (The McWade Brothers)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DallasMcWade.jpg

From: Deep in the Mountains / Age: 36

Height: 6 ft 6 Weight: 290 lbs

Finisher: McWade Face Wash

Accomplishments: 5x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with Dean McWade), 2x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2000 and 2005, with Dean McWade)

Dallas McWade has been a staple in our tag team division for several years. Along with his twin brother, the two are solid brawlers and have provided solid competition for the top-tier portion of our roster. The only major concern I have with Dallas is that he is getting up there in age and he may have hit the glass ceiling in never achieving much success as a singles competitor.

Dan Stone Jr.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DanStoneJr.jpg

From: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada / Age: 35

Height: 6 ft 3 Weight: 230 lbs

Finisher: Stone Ankle Stretch

Accomplishments: 5x NOTPBW Canadian champion, 4x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (two reigns with Jeremy Stone, two reigns with Duane Stone), 2x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2002 and 2003, with Jeremy Stone)

What can you say about good old Dan Jr.? Guy's a legend. All of the boss's sons are fine wrestlers, but Dan seems to have the gift of being able to have a decent match with any wrestler on the planet. The crowd loves him too, of course. Of all the face wrestlers on the roster, he's probably the best at connecting on the microphone as well, which really makes him an irreplaceable asset on the roster.

Dark Angel

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DarkAngel.jpg

From: Parts Unknown / Age: 37

Height: 6 ft 1 Weight: 210 lbs

Finisher: Descent Into Hell

Accomplishments: 2x NOTPBW Canadian champion

I think of the best decisions Dan Stone Sr. made in 2007 was convincing "Dark Angel" Cliff Wilson to sign exclusively with our company. In the past few years, Dark Angel ended up traveling often between Japan and Canda. While he's no doubt one of the best workers on our roster, keeping commitments between NOTPBW and GCG was hurting his in-ring performances. With him wrestling only for us and his ability to draw heat from the fans, I forsee only good things from him in 2008.

Dean McWade (The McWade Brothers)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DeanMcWade.jpg

From: Deep in the Mountains / Age: 36

Height: 6 ft 5 Weight: 300 lbs

Finisher: Canadian Lariat

Accomplishments: 5x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with Dallas McWade), 2x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2000 and 2005, with Dallas McWade)

Essentially eventhing I said about Dallas can be applied to his twin brother, Dean. Both men are solid and feared in our tag team division, putting on hard-hitting matches.

Derek Frost (The Demolition Crew)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DerekFrost.jpg

From: Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada / Age: 27

Height: 6 ft 4 Weight: 260 lbs

Finisher: Snow Plow

Accomplishments: None

The "Ice Man" Derek Frost has been teaming with Alysian Scottsfield since his debut in 2003. He can put on a decent match with the right worker to protect him and also is younger compared to the rest of the roster, so he might have some time to grow into a solid singles performer.

Gregg Boone (The Kelowna Players)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/GreggBoone.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/NOTBPW_Tag_alt.jpg

From: Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada / Age: 30

Height: 5 ft 8 Weight: 180 lbs

Finisher: Murder on the Dancefloor

Accomplishments: 2x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with Craig Green), Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2004, with Craig Green)

Like it said about Craig Green, I'm not sure what Boone has done to deserve another tag team title reign. He's actually a worse wrestler than his tag team partner. He's going to have to improve dramatically if he wants to remain on our roster.

Harlem Hayes

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/HarlemHaynes.jpg

From: Harlem, New York, United States / Age: 25

Height: 6 ft 5 Weight: 270 lbs

Finisher: Harlem Hussle

Accomplishments: None

Hayes debuted in 2007, billed as the American cousin of R.K. Hayes. He's done a decent job so far, and has shown the ability to improve his skills.

Harrison Hash

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/HarrisonHash.jpg

From: Montreal, Quebec, Canada / Age: 32

Height: 6 ft 0 Weight: 210 lbs

Finisher: Montreal Deep Sleeper

Accomplishments: 1x NOTBPW All Action champion

Hash is a decent technical wrestler who has served, like most of the heels on the roster, as punching bags for the Stones. Sadly, his lack of charisma seems to be what makes him languish around the mid-card level.

Jason O'Conner (The Fighting Irish)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/CHThreepwood.jpg

From: Galway, Ireland / Age: 21

Height: 5 ft 10 Weight: 190 lbs

Finisher: Stretch Plum

Accomplishments: None

O'Conner debuted for us in 2007 as one half of the Fighting Irish. He probably won't be a future star, but should hopefully develop into a good tag team with Robbie McNamara as each pay their dues.

Jeremy Stone

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JeremyStone.jpg

From: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada / Age: 41

Height: 6 ft 4 Weight: 245 lbs

Finisher: Stone Hold

Accomplishments: 4x NOTPBW Canadian champion, 4x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (two reigns with Dan Stone Jr., one reign with Robert Oxford, one reign with Steve Flash), 3x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2001 with Duane Stone, 2002 and 2003 with Dan Stone Jr.)

Despite being the old age of 41, Jeremy Stone is still regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world. Like Dan Jr., he can put on great matches with basically anybody and is treated like a deity by our fans. He puts butts in seats, though my only fear is that I have to wonder how much longer he'll want to compete as a full-time worker?

John Maverick

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JohnMaverick.jpg

From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada / Age: 32

Height: 6 ft 3 Weight: 240 lbs

Finisher: Deadly Silence

Accomplishments: 1x CGC World champion, 2x CGC Canadian champion, 3x CGC World Tag Team champion (two reigns with Eddie Chandler, one reign with Dan DaLay)

Dan's Stone biggest acquisition in 2007 was no doubt John Maverick. After a less-than-stellar lenghtly reign as champ in CGC in 2006, Maverick came to us looking for a fresh star. It was likely a wise decision for him, as our crowds are more willing to forgive him for his lack of charisma and superstar look, unlike CGC's.

Johnny Bloodstone

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JohnnyBloodstone.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/NOTBPW_Canadian.jpg

From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada / Age: 32

Height: 6 ft 1 Weight: 220 lbs

Finisher: Bloodstone Mutilation

Accomplishments: 1x NOTBPW Canadian champion, 1x USPW National champion

2007 was obviously a big year for Johnny Bloodstone. After years of putting on solid performances, Dan decided to reward him with a title run. The fans are first weren't sure if they were going to buy him as a main event guy after defeating Sean McFly, but they seem to be going to hate Bloodstoone more and more each day.

Lord James King

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/GentlemanJimKing.jpg

From: Greenwich, Connecticut, United States / Age: 28

Height: 6 ft 2 Weight: 215 lbs

Finisher: King Maker

Accomplishments: None

King debuted for us about three months ago. His rich snob schitck would seem to be a bit gimmicky for our audience, but he seems to play the role convicingly. He's not a great worker by any means, but we'll give him a little time to see if he can do anything special.

Mighty Cavanagh

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MightyCavanagh.jpg

From: Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Age: 24

Height: 6 ft 8 Weight: 290 lbs

Finisher: Sit-Out Spinebuster

Accomplishments: None

Cavanagh is the tallest guy on our roster. He's also extremely raw. When protected properly, he can do his best to not bring a match down, but it's obviously he's very limited in what he can do. Dan seems him as a long-term project that will pay off (the good news is he's in shape), but I'd like to see some improvement from him very soon.

Omar Brown

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/OmarBrown.jpg

From: Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Age: 29

Height: 6 ft 3 Weight: 230 lbs

Finisher: Anaconda Vice

Accomplishments: None

Dan did a very nice job of spotting Omar on the independent circuit. He debuted for us in 2007 and it's obvious the guy has a future in this company. He can put on some entertainly slugfests with our other skilled brawlers. The downside? He's a bit of a pain in the ass backstage.

Owen Love (The Can-Am Blondes)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/OwenLove_alt2.jpg

From: Montreal, Quebec, Canada / Age: 33

Height: 6 ft 1 Weight: 210 lbs

Finisher: The Love Gun

Accomplishments: 2x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with The Natural), 1x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2007, with The Natural), 1x NOTBPW Unlimited Action champion

Owen's one of our longer tenured guys on the roster and has been putting on good matches for the last few years. While he has been successful as one half of the Can-Am Blondes, the opportunity to rise as a singles competitor seems to be growing closer.

R.K. Hayes

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/RKHayes.jpg

From: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada / Age: 36

Height: 6 ft 5 Weight: 265 lbs

Finisher: Homicide Bomb

Accomplishments: 1x NOTBPW Canadian champion

RK Hayes has been an enemy of the Stones for nearly ten years now. He doesn't possess a lot of finesse, but the crowd has come to respect him and he considered one of the toughest guys in the industry. There are better workers than him out there, but few are as popular as he is with our crowd.

Robbie McNamara (The Fighting Irish)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/CrockettTubbs.jpg

From: Galway, Ireland / Age: 24

Height: 5 ft 10 Weight: 175 lbs

Finisher: Subway STF

Accomplishments: None

Exactly what I said about Jason O'Conner: probably not a future star but should hopefully put on some solid matches as he gets more experience.

Sean McFly

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/SeanMcFly.jpg

From: New York, New York, United States / Age: 33

Height: 6 ft 3 Weight: 230 lbs

Finisher: Delorean Driver

Accomplishments: 4x NOTBPW Canadian champion, 2x SWF World Heavyweight champion

Mr. McFly is easily the most popular non-Stone wrestler on our roster (though techically he is Dan's son-in-law). The guy is tremendously talented and loved by our fans. After suffering an ankle injury in late 2007, he decied to take the rest of the year off to rest his body. Nobody is sure when he plans on getting back in the ring, but we're hoping it will be very soon.

The Natural (The Can-Am Blondes)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TheNatural_alt1.jpg

From: Seattle, Washington, United States / Age: 36

Height: 6 ft 2 Weight: 220 lbs

Finisher: Nature Calls

Accomplishments: 2x NOTBPW Tag Team champion (with Owen Love), 1x Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Winner (2007, with Owen Love)

The Natural is the other half of the very talented Can-Am Blondes. To supplement his decent wrestling ability, he's quite good on the microphone and seems to possess the look to be a potential Canadian title threat down the line.

Tim Westybrook

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TimWestybrook.jpg

From: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada / Age: 32

Height: 6 ft 6 Weight: 290 lbs

Finisher: TNT Whirlwind

Accomplishments: None

Tim Westybrook is another solid brawler who carries a lot of promise. He's already proven that he can hang with the top level guys on our roster, so a push to the upper level seems to be inevitable.

Women's Division

Emma Bitch

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/EmmaBitch.jpg

From: Toronto, Ontario, Canada / Age: 21

Height: 5 ft 6 Weight: 135 lbs

Finisher: The Payback

Accomplishments: None

While Dan sadly had to make some cutbacks to the women's roster in 2007, I thought he made the right call keeping Emma on the roster, who has shown to have the natural talent to play the heel. At 21, she has a lot of time to improve.

Grace Harper

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/GraceHarper.jpg

From: Los Angeles, California, United States / Age: 33

Height: 5 ft 6 Weight: 135 lbs

Finisher: Fisherman's Suplex

Accomplishments: 1x NOTBPW Womens champion

Harper is the veteran of the womens division and has been used to help our younger workers improve in the ring. She'll continue to keep that role, as I have some plans on bringing in more talent to expand the division.

Melody Cuthill

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MelodyCuthill.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/NOTBPW_Womens.jpg

From: Chicago, Illinois, United States / Age: 27

Height: 5 ft 3 Weight: 115 lbs

Finisher: Melody Maker

Accomplishments: 2x NOTBPW Womens champion

Melody is our smallest but most popular competitor in the womens division. She easily has the most star quality out of all the girls on our roster and continues to serve us well as champion.

Stephanie Hazel

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/Principessa.jpg

From: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada / Age: 29

Height: 5 ft 4 Weight: 125 lbs

Finisher: Hazel Crusher

Accomplishments: 1x NOTBPW Womens champion

Hazel has been on our roster for a while now, playing the foil to Melody Cuthill. She can put on acceptable matches and will continue her rivalry with the current champion.

Out of Ring Talent

Clarence Garcia

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/ClarenceGarcia.jpg

Clarence is one of our two referees, usually working matches earlier in the card.

Craig Prince

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/CraigPrince.jpg

Craig was a former NOTPBW Canadian champion before suffering a career ending knee injury. He works for us as a road agent.

Dan Stone

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DanStone.jpg

The boss. He does some road agent work from time to time when he isn't doing all the company work.

Matthew White

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MatthewWhite.jpg

Matthew is our head referee, usually working all the major matches.

Tom Townsend

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TomTownsend_alt2.jpg

Tom Townsend is our color commentator, who does a good job being a foil to Tommy London. He is usually the cheerleader for wrestlers who try to cheat to win or beat up the Stones.

Tommy London

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TommyLondon_alt2.jpg

Tommy London is our main commentator, who serves as the straight man, doing his best to call the action.

Victoria Stone

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/VictoriaStone.jpg

The only daughter of Dan Stone decided to call it quits in 2007 after a back injury that has hampered her for years convinced her to start working backstage. She is now the on-camera commissioner.

A few little more tidbits that I feel is worth mentioning:

- I decided to end our non-aggression pact with Canadian Golden Combat immediately. While I have a lot of respect for the DeColts, I felt their company has some talent that would benefit us by being on our shows.

- I ended into working agreements with PGHW, WLW and TCW (with the agreement that Edd Stone will not appear on our shows for the foreseeable future)

- Dan and I agreed that it would make sense to start debuting new wrestlers as soon as possible. Increasing our roster size will be a decent short-term fix.

NOTBPW Championship Wrestling Preview:

NOTBPW kicks off 2008 with some explosive action! By scoring important victories at Winter War 2007, Jeremy Stone and Dark Angel find themselves being given a huge opportunity, as they will face each other in a match to decide who will face current Canadian champion, Johnny Bloodstone, at Clash Classic. Neither wrestler has been able to get his hands on a title shot for a while now, so winning this match will be huge.

Even though Johnny Bloodstone doesn't have an opponent yet for Clash Classic, he'll be in action in a non-title match. Commissioner Victoria Stone took Bloodstone's comments about taking on "anybody around the world at any time" and has announced that Bloodstoone will take on a hand-picked opponent of Victoria's choosing!

Fan favorite Dan Stone Jr. will also be in action against Dallas McWade, as Dan looks to get back on track after a disappointing loss at Winter War.

We'll have one title match on our show as The Kelowna Playaz have granted The Can-Am Blondes a rematch for the tag team titles, after their match at Winter War ended in controversy.

Melody Cuthill will be in action in a non-title bout against bitter rival Stephanie Hazel.

We'll also have a tag team attraction match as Tim Westybrook and the Mighty Cavanagh will join forces against the team of Harrison Hash and Omar Brown. Cavanagh will likely be extra motivated to erase his loss to Hash at Winter War.

Finally, wrestling fans will be in for an absolute treat: as the result of the new NOTBPW partnership with World Level Wrestling, Japanese superstar Yosuke Narita will be making an appearance on our airwaves, taking on the always though R.K. Hayes.

Here is a prediction form for those who are interested:

Meh, not to much in the womans division, so I'll go with Cuthill just because.

Harrison Hash & Omar Brown vs. Tim Westybrook & Mighty Cavanagh

I don't know why, but i see it happening.

R.K. Hayes vs. Yosuke Narita

Either that, or a draw.

Hey dude looking forward to see how you plan on doing things with NOTBPW. They are a fun fed to run, as I am doing a dynasty with them currently as well.

TakerNGN74

Absolutely. I always felt that NOTBPW was the easier fed to use in 2007, but Adam definitely made it more difficult in TEW2008 with Duane and Edd Stone leaving the company. Add to the fact that most of the top stars are only getting older, Jeremy and Dan Jr. may/may not renew their deals when the time comes, plus you have a dead-end women's division that needs some revamping if it is going to have a future.

Winner Receives a Title Shot at Clash Classic

Jeremy Stone vs. Dark Angel

With a heel champion, and a strong face/heel divide its best to go with Stone as the first challenger.

Non-Title Match

Johnny Bloodstone vs. An Opponent of Commissioner Victoria Stone's Choosing

You want the champ looking strong in this first match of the new year, so yeah doesn't matter who is opponent is

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match

The Kelowna Playaz © vs. The Can-Am Blondes

This is one match where you can REALLY justify the instant title switch, because it really is mystifying as to why The Kelowna Jobberz have the titles in the first place.

Dan Stone Jr. vs. Dallas McWade

No brainer, especially in singles competition

Non-Title Match

Melody Cuthill vs. Stephanie Hazel

Cheapish win for Hazel, so that she can try and justify having another title shot at Cuthill

Harrison Hash & Omar Brown vs. Tim Westybrook & Mighty Cavanagh

Poor Tim Westybrook, forced to tag with UNmighty Cavanagh.

R.K. Hayes vs. Yosuke Narita

I'm not Hayes biggest fan and I feel he shouldn't be anywhere near challenging for the title, but Narita (aka Awesome Thunder) is probably on a talent trade and simply isn't over enough in Canada to warrant going over Hayes, who could still be useful in helping to put a rising star over down the line..so I wouldn't leech out his reasonable overness too drastically.

Winner Receives a Title Shot at Clash Classic

Jeremy Stone vs. Dark Angel

Bloodstone needs a strong, credible face character to feud with and Jeremy fits the bill.

Non-Title Match

Johnny Bloodstone vs. An Opponent of Commissioner Victoria Stone's Choosing

I assume this is going to be an extended programme - Bloodstone defying Victoria Stone as a cool heel champion to get the fans on board with his run. Bloodstone needs to be kept strong if he's going to be on top for long.

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match

The Kelowna Playaz © vs. The Can-Am Blondes

The Can-Am Blondes are just better than the perpetually useless Kelowna Playaz.

Dan Stone Jr. vs. Dallas McWade

Dan Stone Jr needs to be primed for a long programme with Bloodstone in the tail-end of the spring through the summer I'd think, so the slow build starts with an easy win to establish his quest.

Non-Title Match

Melody Cuthill vs. Stephanie Hazel

A roll-up finish for the would-be challenger means Hazel has a claim to the title.

Harrison Hash & Omar Brown vs. Tim Westybrook & Mighty Cavanagh

How can you not back a team that should be dubbed Hash Brown?!

R.K. Hayes vs. Yosuke Narita

RK Hayes is more useful than Narita to the promotion. A reliable heel who can be kept near the top on the off chance that Bloodstone bombs.

Looking forward to this - Bloodstone's one of my favourite characters in the C-Verse and an extended run at the top in NOTBPW piques my interest.

Pre-Show

Match: Emma Bitch vs. Grace Harper

A decent women's match opens up our card, largely because both Bitch and Harper are quite familiar with one another (thanks to the lack of female rosters on our division). The fans get into the action in this back and forth maction. Bitch finally is able to end things with the Payback. Perfectly acceptable dark match.

Emma Bitch defeated Grace Harper in 6:30 by pinfall with The Payback.

The camera goes backstage to the Can-Am Blondes. Owen Love stands silent and straightfaced, with the sun-glasses clad The Natural talks into the camera.

The Natural: Kelowna Playaz, I've been thinking long and hard about what happened at Winter War. We battled to a double count out and I'm sure you "boyz" were pretty pleased to be able to walk out with the tag team titles. After complaining enough to commissioner Victoria Stone, we've been given another opportunity at your titles. Sadly, your little reign as champions is going to end tonight, because you're looking at the most talented and best looking tag team in all of Canada. We're out tonight to show you two dancing goofs that your title win back in October was a fluke. No more games Playaz, because tonight The Natural and Owen Love are going to get back the belts that belong to them.

Match: John Maverick vs. Harlem Hayes

I don't really like doing heel-heel matches, unless I'm forced to, but lately the lack of faces on our roster has resulted in me matching heels up in pre-show matches. Despite the crowd not having a specific wrestler to cheer, Maverick and Hayes put on a decent mini-match which essentially serves as an extended squash for Maverick, who puts his opponent away via submission.

John Maverick defeated Harlem Haynes in 5:10 by submission with a Deadly Silence.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MelodyCuthill.jpg vs http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/Principessa-1.jpg

Per NOTBPW tradition, our premiere match features the ladies of the company putting on a decent performance to get the crowd going. Though Cuthill's belt isn't on the line, she still appears to take the match very seriously, as her overwhelms Hazel with her initial attack, forcing Hazel to stall to the outside. Soon, Hazel is able to take control with an eye rake and deliver a variety of vicious suplexes. Cuthill seemed to be caught off guard as Hazel set her up for the Hazel Crusher, but Melody was able to escape and roll her up for a two count. Fustrated, Hazel went for a lariat attempt, but Cuthill ducked and was able to land a Melody Maker out of nowhere for a three count. Though the match wasn't for the title, one could tell from Hazel's expression that she was angrier than usual about the defeat.

Melody Cuthill defeated Stephanie Hazel in 7:38 by pinfall with a Melody Maker.

The music for Johnny Bloodstone blasts over the loudspeakers, as the Canadian champion makes his way to the ring.

Johnny Bloodstone: Didn't I tell you this was going to happen? Didn't I say I was going to walk out of Winter War with the Canadian title? Well guess what wrestling fans, I did, and the best part is that it came at the expense of your little, precious Dan Stone Jr. I know there's a number one contender's match tonight between Old Man Jeremy Stone and Dark Angel, and frankly, I couldn't care less who comes out the victor. I've been the number one guy in this company since July and I promise you nothing is going to change. Because you see-

Commissioner Victoria Stone comes out to the ramp, interrupting Bloodstone's speech.

Johnny Bloodstone: Don't you realize it is extremely rude to interrupt the champion while he is talking to his peeps?

Victoria Stone: I find it very amusing that you think that these people are your "peeps".

Johnny Bloodstone: Well, well, I think somebody is bitter that their brother came out a big, fat loser as usual in their world title match. Anyway, what brings out to the ring to waste everybody's time?

Victoria Stone: I'm out here Johnny, because we both know you have a match tonight. And, if memory serves me right, you put out the challenge to face anybody around the world-

Johnny Bloodstone: -of course, I'm a fighting champion.

Victoria Stone: Obviously you have no idea who you'll be fighting tonight, so it IS only fair that your title won't be on the line.

Johnny Bloodstone: Listen, I know your father is tight with the old purse, so go ahead and bring out the $300 jobber I'll be destroying for the amusement of Bloodstone Nation.

Victoria Stone: Well, I hope I can please Bloodstone Nation, because you'll be facing this man tonight:

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JoeyMinnesota.jpg

It's TCW's Joey Minnesota! He gets a decent reaction from the crowd, most obviously familiar with his work in the United States. Johnny Bloodstone, furious, speaks into the microphone:

Johnny Bloodstone: This is an outrage! I have to fight this animal? I just had a triangle match war on Saturday, and now I have to face Joey frikkin' Minnesota? I'm going to make sure you're punished for this, you evil woman! The champ will not let this stand!

Victoria Stone just simply responds with a wave, as Minnesota makes a throat-slashing gesture at Bloodstone, who has a tantrum all the way to the back.

Match #2: Harrison Hash & Omar Brown vs. Tim Westybrook & Mighty Cavanagh

VS

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TimWestybrook.jpg & http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MightyCavanagh.jpg

Westybrook wrestles most of the match for his team, as the goal is to give Cavanagh as little opportunity to drag down the match as possible. The team of "HashBrown" do a decent job of wearing down Westybrook, until the powerhouse is able to land a pair of big powerslams and make the hot tag to his partner. All four men brawl in the ring until Brown is able to hold Westybrook in place for a Hash superkick, but Hash hits his partner instead! Cavanagh is able to isolate Brown while Westybrook is able to lift up a stunned Hash for a TNT Whirlwind for the pinfall.

Tim Westybrook and Mighty Cavanagh defeated Harrison Hash and Omar Brown in 9:56 when Tim Westybrook defeated Harrison Hash by pinfall with a TNT Whirlwind.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/RKHayes.jpg vs http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/YosukeNarita.jpg

Like Minnesota, not all of the crowd is familar with Narita, but he gets a good reaction. The result is a hard-hitting match between both competitors. Both guys have their moments in the match, but it is Hayes who comes out looking strong, winning with the Homicide Bomb. Narita, however, deserves credit for giving a game effort and getting the crowd into the match.

R.K. Hayes defeated Yosuke Narita in 9:07 by pinfall with a Homicide Bomb.

After the bell has rung, R.K. continues his beating of Narita, likely because he's a huge jerk and wants to show the foreigner that he doesn't belong in NOTBPW. Finally, Tim Westybrook and Mighty Canvanagh run down to the ring, causing the Hayes cousins to book it out of the arena.

Ugh, the Kelowna Playaz are just so terrible to watch. Really, I never agreed with Dan about putting the titles on them, and they again showed why they shouldn't be on television, yet alone holding any titles. The Blondes tried their best to cover up Green and Boone's mistakes, but the match turned into a mess until The Natural finally put Boone out of his misery a Nature Calls to pick up the win and the titles. It was a dominating performance for the Blondes, which seemed to sent a message to the fans that this team is to be taken seriously.

The Can-Am Blondes defeated The Kelowna Playaz in 7:50 when The Natural defeated Gregg Boone by pinfall with a Nature Calls. The Can-Am Blondes win the NOTBPW Tag Team titles.

(Rating: D-)

OOC: I'm not a believer in making immediate title changes when starting a dynasty, but I couldn't afford a slew of bad match ratings from the untalented Playaz.

The camera goes backstage to Dan Stone Jr.:

Dan Stone Jr.: Johnny Bloodstone, I know you must be feeling pretty high and mighty about walking out with the title at the end of Winter War, and I don't blame you. However, you and I both know that victory was tainted because you didn't beat ME. One day, you and I will have our singles show down, but I'll be a patient man and wait for my opportunity. Tonight, I get in the ring with Dallas McWade. Dallas, we're very familiar with one another, and I respect your power, but there's no way going to stop me from my destiny of achieving another title shot.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DanStoneJr.jpg vs http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DallasMcWade.jpg

Like many of his matches, Dan Stone Jr. allowed his opponent to play to his strengths, as he allowed Dallas to throw him around the ring, looking like an intimidating powerhouse. However, Dan was able to get back in control and cleverly work over the right leg of McWade. Eventually, Dan was able to get McWade down to one knee in order to deliver a vicious kick to the head. With McWade down, Dan applied the Stone Ankle Stretch to get a quick submission.

Dan Stone Jr defeated Dallas McWade in 8:48 by submission with a Stone Ankle Stretch.

While Dan Stone Jr. is celebrating his victory to the fans, John Maverick arrives out of NOWHERE and proceeds to beat the hell out of Dan in the middle of the ring. With Dan Stone Jr. down, Maverick climbs the turnbuckle and celebrates to a chorus of boos. Clearly, Maverick must blame Dan in some convoluted way as being the reason he didn't win the title at Winter War. However, one question: where was Jeremy Stone to make the save?

Match #6: Johnny Bloodstone vs. Joey Minnesota (Non-Title)

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JohnnyBloodstone.jpg vs http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JoeyMinnesota.jpg

For being a non-title match, Johnny Bloodstone looks very nervous as he enters the ring. From the opening bell, both men trade very stiff strikes and kicks. Bloodstone seems livid as Minnesota gets the best of him in the early on, so he takes his opponent to the floor and tries to wear him out with several submission holds.

Bloodstone's best opportunity comes as he catches Minnesota in a one legged crab, but with the crowd getting more and more behind him, Minnesota is able to grab the ropes and break up the hold. Angry, Bloodstone sets his man up for a powerbomb, but Minnesota is able to break free, kick Bloodstone in the gut and land the MINNESOTA SALUTE! The crowd goes insane!

1....

2....

NO!

Bloodstone barely kicks out and the match continues. Minnesota stomps on Bloodstone, picks him up and whips him off the ropes, only for Bloodstone to regain momentum with a big clothesline. Bloodstone then is able to jump on his man while he's down and locks in THE STONE HOLD! That's the move his mentor and enemy, Jeremy Stone taught him! Minnesota seems doomed, but is able to power himself to the ropes in order to break the hold.

Getting his bearings back, Bloodstone decides to throw Minnesota out of the ring. Johnny quickly drags Minnesota into the middle of the entrance ramp and locks in the STONE HOLD AGAIN! After locking it in for a few seconds, he rolls back into the ring, seeming to be content with a count out finish.

With the fans chanting harder and harder, Minnesota slowly staggers and tries to beat the referee Matthew White's count...

17....

18....

19...

Minnesota makes it back into the ring! The crowd is going wild now as Joey Minnesota has shown he has a fighting chance! Bloodstone, looking absolutely desperate stomps on his fallen opponent and goes to the top rope.

Bloodstone tries and big splash, but catches a pair of knees! Minnesota staggers back up and goes for an EMPIRE SPIRAL attempt, but the champ rolls through and locks in the BLOODSTONE MUTILATION in the middle of the ring!

Minnesota tries his best to hold on, but Bloodstone drags him further and further from the ropes and he is forced to tap out after an incredible 20+ minute effort. If the fans didn't know who Joey Minnesota was tonight, they sure do now.

Johnny Bloodstone defeated Joey Minnesota in 20:22 by submission with a Bloodstone Mutilation.

(Rating: B)

__________________________________________________

Panting and tired, Johnny Bloodstone grabs the microphone and addresses the crowd.

Johnny Bloodstone: First of all, before I start talking, I want this piece of crap to be taken out of my ring.

The crowd's booing is at the loudest point of the night is directed at Bloodstone, as Minnesota is helped to the back.

Johnny Bloodstone: I bet Victoria Stone sure thought she would be clever trying to put the world champion in a war, hoping I would be softened up for the next big event. But guess what, just like every plan Victoria Stone has, it just doesn't work out. Speaking of the Stones, I've just about had it with this entire failure of a family. When it comes down to it, I'm the champion of this company and there is nothing any of those Stones can do about it.

The crowd continues to get on Bloodstone's case.

Johnny Bloodstone: Jeremy ... Dan Jr... let me tell you something, if you EVER get in the ring with me one-on-one, the beating I gave Joey Minnesota tonight will not even compare to the career ending destruction I will give either of you. From here on out, I want everyone to be on notice: my goal is to destroy the entire Stone family.

The crowd's booing increases and Bloodstone smirks.

Johnny Bloodstone: Jeremy and Dan Jr., I'll beat you both in the ring. Victoria, don't like Johnny Bloodstone isn't afraid to hit a lady. Oh, and Dan Stone Sr., I'll kick your old ass, too.

Bloodstone throws down the microphone and his theme song blares over the chants of "*******!" by the audience.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JeremyStone.jpg vs http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/DarkAngel.jpg

Jeremy and Dark Angel have had several great matches in the past, and this one was no different. Both men absolutely gave it a great effort knowing that the number one contendership was on the line.

Dark Angel seemed to have the match won in the end with a Descent into Hell, but Jeremy kicked out at the last second and the match went on. As Angel tried to follow up with a moonsault, Jeremy moved out of the way and was able to drill Angel with a brutal Stone's Throw. Grabbing in man in the middle of the ring, Stone locked in the Stone Hold, putting an end to a great battle.

Jeremy Stone defeated Dark Angel in 21:22 by submission with a Stone Hold.

(Rating: B+)

The final moments of the episode are focused on Jeremy, who celebrates his win to an excited crowd, who know he just earned himself a one-on-one encounter with Johnny Bloodstone at Big City Brawl.

Final Rating: B

A solid main and co-main event help out with a final rating that I can't help but be pleased about. Dan told me after that I did a fine job, which sure was a nice boost to the old self-confidence.

How are you finding the height and weight ? And the place they are from ?

I just used my good old imagination!

I was very happy with the first show under my tenure. Sure, I had to outsorce to add some talent (Joey Minnesota and Yosuke Narita), but I viewed it as a temporary solution until I signed some new wrestlers to contracts.

NOTBPW News and Championship Wrestling Preview:

It's been a pretty busy week at the NOTBPW offices, as the company has been scouting some new and returning talent to thrill our great wrestling fans. After a long search, NOTBPW would like publicly announce that the following wrestlers have agreed to contracts with our company: Trent Shaffer, Jacob Jett, Steve Flash, Thomas Morgan, Joanne Rodriguez and "Cool" Chris Flynn.

http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TrentShaffer.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JacobJett.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/SteveFlash_alt1-1.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/ThomasMorgan.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/JoanneRodriguez.jpghttp://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/ChrisFlynn_TopGun.jpg

You can be sure to catch these wrestlers on our air in the following weeks, but also don't forget to tune in on Wednesday for some big surprises and the greatest wrestling in the world.

The main event this week will feature the new number one contender, Jeremy Stone, in action against John Maverick. Speaking of John Maverick, you can be sure that Dan Stone Jr. is going to have some words after getting attacked by Mr. Maverick. Also, did we ever get a reason for why Jeremy was unable to help his brother?

After an great effort last week against the Canadian champion, Joey Minnesota has been invited to return this week to face off against Dan Stone Jr. Dan has been quoted saying, "it would be an honor" to face Joey in the ring before his short-term contract with us is completed. This should be a slugfest of epic proportions.

We'll also have some six man tag team action, as the team of Tim Westybrook, Mighty Cavanagh and Yosuke Narita team up to face RK Hayes, Omar Brown and Harrison Hash. Narita found himelf a pair of allies in Westybrook and Cavanagh, who came to his rescue after RK Hayes and his cousin showed complete disrepect for Narita, assaulting him for no good reason. You can bet that the icy team of "HashBrown" would love to get some revenge of Westybrook and Cavanagh as well.

We'll also see a rematch, as the Kelowna Playaz will have the opportunity to regain the tag team titles against the Can-Am Blondes. It's generally an unwritten rule in NOTBPW that a wrestler/team gets an immediate rematch for the title they dropped.

Four women are going to have the opportunity to wrestler for right to face Melody Cuthill at Big City Brawl for the Women's title. Emma Bitch will face the debuting Joanne Rodriguez, Stephanie Hazel and Grace Harper. Will Bitch, Hazel and Harper are all familiar with wrestling Cuthill, Rodriguez has the chance to surprise us all by pulling off a big win in her NOTBPW debut.

And speaking of debuts, the team of Trent Shaffer and Jacob Jett will be debuting by facing a tough task in The McWade Brothers. Both Shaffer and Jett have reputations as exciting high-flyers, but they'll have the size disadvantage against the McWades.

Finally, Lord James King is set for singles action against the always mysterious TBA.

Here is a prediction form for those who are interested:

Jeremy Stone vs. John Maverick

J-Stone to keep his momentum going as he heads towards his title match showdown with Bloodstone.

Dan Stone Jr. vs. Joey Minnesota

As talented as Minnesota is, he'll be heading back to TCW with an 0-2 record in his guest appearances.

Tim Westybrook, Mighty Cavanagh and Yosuke Narita vs. RK Hayes, Omar Brown and Harrison Hash

Heels to come out on top here, personally I feel HashBrown could do with a win back, Narita's only here on a talent trade and besides him and Westybrook are tagging with Crapanagh.

NOTBPW Tag Team Title Match

The Can-Am Blondes © vs. The Kelowna Playaz

You've made no secret for your dislike of the Kelowna Playaz, so there isn't a cat in hells chance of them winning this re-match. I'd expect them to basically become job fodder until their contracts run down after this.

#1 Contender's For the Women's Title:

Emma Bitch vs. Joanne Rodriguez vs. Stephanie Hazel vs. Grace Harper

One of the most talented womens wrestlers, actually one of the most talented be it male of female in the world makes an instant impact.

Trent Shaffer and Jacob Jett vs. The McWade Brothers

Strong debut for Shaffer and Jett with a win over an established team in the McWades.

Lord James King vs. A Mystery Opponent

I think whoever the mystery guy is, King will likely be doing the job.

Pre Show:

The Fighting Irish vs. Thomas Morgan & Steve Flash

One side has Steve Flash and I think you'll show the popular veteran enough respect for him to win on his debut. Looks like you're experimenting with a few new tandems, which is understable because beyond the Can-Am Blondes and the McWades (who aren't great but are solid brawlers) the Tag Division at the start is very weak.

Derek Frost vs. "Cool" Chris Flynn

Flynn's the debutant most likely to start right from the bottom as job fodder.

Flynn came to the ring wearing a pair of snazzy aviators and gave out a punch of high-fives, but he soon fell victim to Derek Frost's Snow Plow (his finisher needs a new name) in a squash. The match wasn't too bad, considering the crowd had no idea who Flynn was.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Derek Frost defeated Chris Flynn in 2:56 by pinfall with a Snow Plow.</strong></span></p><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong> </strong></span></p><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong> (Rating: E+)</strong></span></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> __________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <em>The camera goes backstage to the Can-Am Blondes. Last week we were standing here talking about how The Can-Am Blondes were going to take the tag team titles from the Kelowna Playaz. What a difference a week makes. Though the fans gave the returning Steve Flash a good reaction from the crowd, this match was just a mess. Sadly for me, my dreams of "Trademarked Flash" ended quick, as Flash and Morgan had zero chemistry as tag team partners. To make matters worse, Morgan picked up a minor neck injury mid-match, which seemed to drag down the rating. Flash and Morgan picked up the win in an extended squash. However, it's back to the drawing board as I look to build some more credible tag teams.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Steve Flash & Thomas Morgan defeated The Fighting Irish in 5:46 when Steve Flash defeated Jason O'Conner by pinfall with a Flash Bang.</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color:#8B0000;">(Grade: E)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>__________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"> </span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Main Show</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Match #1: Shooter Sean Deeley vs. Lord James King</strong></p><p> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/ShooterSeanDeeley.jpg</span> <strong>vs </strong> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/GentlemanJimKing.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Our show starts out with Lord James King waiting in the ring for his mystery opponent. Here hope of making an impact was dashed, however, as Emma Bitch was able to pin Grace Harper with the Payback just before a distracted Rodriguez was able to cover Hazel. Last week, as I was getting my hand raised by the referee, I got attacked by John Maverick. Maverick, I don't know what your issue with me is, but I don't take in-ring attacks very lightly. If you have a problem with me, how about we take care of things at Big City Brawl? I know we both view each other as stepping stones to another title shot, so why don't we see who the next title challenge should be? Tonight, you have a date with my brother, and honestly, I don't really care what the result is, because my brother can fend for himself and seems to be happy with that line of thinking. I'm sure he'll soon take the title off of Johnny Bloodstone as well.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;"> Also, tonight, I have a match with Joey Minnesota. Joey, you put up a great effort against Johnny Bloodstone last week. You took him to the limit and showed an incredible desire to win. I respect you immensely for that and it will be an honor to wrestle you. However, don't think for one second that I will be going soft on you. When you wrestler Dan Stone Jr., you better be prepared for a war. </span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"> </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Grade: (C+)</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> __________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Match #3: R.K Hayes, Omar Brown & Harrison Hash vs. Tim Westybrook, Mighty Cavanagh & Yosuke Narita</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/RKHayes.jpg</span> <strong>&</strong> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/OmarBrown.jpg</span> <strong>&</strong> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/HarrisonHash.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>vs</strong> </p><p> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/TimWestybrook.jpg</span> <strong>&</strong> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/MightyCavanagh.jpg</span> <strong>&</strong> <span>http://i842.photobucket.com/albums/zz346/notbpwdiary/YosukeNarita.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The six man tag match that was set up thanks to Hayes beating the crap out of Narita last week turned out to be a disappointment. Though the goal was to Cavanagh not be in the ring as much as possible, the other five guys never really looked to be on the same page during the entire ten minutes. The finish came as all six men brawled in the ring, R.K. Hayes executed a double clothesline, knocking Westybrook and Narita out of the ring. Harrison Hash then looked to be setting up for a double axe handle onto Westybrook and Narita from the ring apron, but Omar Brown accidentally nailed Hash while running off the ropes, causing Hash to crash into the guard rail. With everybody else down, Cavanagh and Hayes traded a series of moves until Hayes was able to land the Homicide Bomb and win the match for his team.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>R.K. The result is a pretty decent match, with Jett and Shaffer trying the best to use their speed to avoid the powerful attacks of the McWades. However, the end comes as Jacob Jett is thrown to the outside like a lawn dart, which leaves Shaffer open to be nailed with the Murder on the Mountain by Dallas. <p><strong> </strong></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"> NOTBPW News and Championship Wrestling Preview:</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> Last week on NOTBPW, we saw Canadian champion <strong>Johnny Bloodstone </strong>standing tall over <strong>Jeremy Stone</strong>, brutally attacking him after Stone was taken to the limit by <strong>John Maverick</strong>. As Johnny Bloodstone was able to pick apart his opponent for Big City Brawl, one question seemed to enter the minds of a lot of fans: where was <strong>Dan Stone Jr.</strong>?</p><p> </p><p> The question of if the brothers are on the same page will be answered this week, as this week's Championship Wrestling main event will be <strong>Dan Stone Jr. </strong>and <strong>Jeremy Stone</strong> teaming up against Canadian champion <strong>Johnny Bloodstone</strong> and <strong>R.K. Hayes</strong>. All four men are quiet familiar with one another, so expect a war before we head into Big City Brawl.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Dark Angel</strong> and his crew made quite an impact last week, as his follower, <strong>Kill Switch</strong>, announced the formation of <strong>The Circle of Darkness</strong>. What is the goal of this strange group? We'll likely find out soon, but word is that <strong>The McWade Brothers</strong> weren't too pleased about getting laid out by the four men after their tag team match and are demanding a showdown with the group this week on Championship Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>John Maverick</strong>, who will be fighting Dan Stone Jr. at Big City Brawl (more on that later) will be back in action this week, taking on the tallest man on the roster, <strong>Mighty Cavanagh</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Joey Minnesota</strong>, who had come close to scoring major wins over Johnny Bloodstone and Dan Stone Jr., has been given the opportunity to showcase his skills on final time against a selected member of the NOTBPW roster before he goes back to wrestling full time in the United States.</p><p> </p><p> Wrestling fans will also get to see <strong>Tim Westybrook</strong> go one-on-one with a man who he has been getting familiar with in the last few weeks, <strong>Omar Brown</strong>. The hate between these two men seems to be brewing more and more, so expect a hard-hitting battle.</p><p> </p><p> We'll also see <strong>Shooter Sean Deeley</strong>, the submission machine who made his debut on NOTBPW television last week, take on the veteran <strong>Alaysian Scottsfield</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> The team that calls themselves <strong>The Immediate Future</strong>, Jacob Jett and Trent Shaffer, gave it their all in a great effort against The McWade Brothers. They'll be back on television this week against <strong>The Kelowna Playaz</strong>, who came up short in a tag team title match last week.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, <strong>Melody Cuthill </strong>will be in non-title action against <strong>Joanne Rodriguez</strong>, who looked impressive in her debut in a #1 contender's match for the women's title. One must be impressed with Cuthill for taking quite a challenge before meeting <strong>Emma Bitch</strong> at Big City Brawl.</p><p> </p><p> Prediction Form:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="24060" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Main Show:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jeremy & Dan Stone Jr. vs. Johnny Bloodstone and RK Hayes</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Joey Minnesota vs. TBA</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> John Maverick vs. Mighty Cavanagh</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Omar Brown vs. Tim Westybrook</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Shooter Sean Deeley vs. Alaysian Scottsfield</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> The Kelowna Playaz vs. The Immediate Future</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Non-Title Match: Melody Cuthill vs. Joanne Rodriguez</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Pre Show:</strong></span></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> The Natural vs. "Cool" Chris Flynn</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Thomas Morgan and TBA vs. The Fighting Irish</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Current Prediction Standings:</p><p> </p><p> Hyde Hill 13-3 (7-2 Last Week)</p><p> Marcel Fromage 13-3 (8-1 Last Week)</p><p> Marshall 12-4 (7-2 Last Week)</p><p> Tigerkinney 12-4 (7-2 Last Week)</p><p> Midnightnick 8-8 (5-4 Last Week)</p><p> Self 7-0 (7-0 Last Week)</p><p> QFresh 5-2</p><p> </p><p> For going 8-1 Last Week, Marcel Fromage wins himself a sweet <strong>Mammoth </strong>t-shirt! We still had some shirts left over in stock after Mammoth left NOTBPW, so enjoy a XXL shirt that reads ("Seriously, who ate all the pies?") on the back and has Mammoth's wonderful mug on the front. Thanks again everyone for their predictions and tune in next week as we hand out only the finest prizes.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> __________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> In other NOTBPW news, we can officially announce that <strong>Dan Stone Jr.</strong> vs. <strong>John Maverick</strong> has been added to Big City Brawl, as Maverick has accept Dan Jr.'s challenge to a match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="24060" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Big City Brawl 2009</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">NOTBPW Canadian Title</span></strong><strong>: Johnny Bloodstone © vs. Jeremy Stone</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">NOTBPW Women's Title</span></strong><strong>: Melody Cuthill © vs. Emma Bitch</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Dan Stone Jr. vs. John Maverick</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> More matches to be be announced!</p>
