<p>wow.... So after 10 games I'm now 5-5 with the Jaguars. Here, as I see it are my major problems... Not sure if these are yours as well? (Then again maybe you're all just better than I am at the X360 version).</p><p> </p><p>

1) I think I lead my passes too much and that's why they get picked off. Then again, when I don't lead them... They get picked off too? Nevermind a button hook... It 'aint happening.</p><p>

2) I've now learned to use my line in which to try to manipulate the play and get a better running play. It seemed to work a few weeks back but now against the Bills I averaged 1.5 yards per carry with MJD. Good side though, He did have over 100 yards recieving out of the backfield.</p><p>

3) I can't get a sack for the life of me. I honestly think in like 10 games I've had 2? I can never get to the QB and when I actually have the chance too (after he's held onto the ball for god... like 10-12 seconds) then he gets rid of the ball before I can even get to him.</p><p>

4) This goes in with #3... QB's have field days against me. Only a few incompletions a game... Then again, without being able to drum up any pass rush.. I guess that's my problem.</p><p> </p><p>

I love the game. Don't get me wrong. Just seem to have a lot of trouble winning games with the Jaguars. ha.</p>

The game's default run blocking isn't very good and it's pass blocking is too good. The problems with picks and not getting pressure could also just be the plays you're calling and your team's talent level. I haven't had any problems with either of those things with the Texans.</p>

<p>Ha ha ha... Josh Johnson, the mostly terrible QB I used to great effect in Madden 09, who is somewhere around a 35 OVR in Madden 10, had a 43 yard TD run in a preseason game with the Buccs!</p><p> </p><p>

I love getting attached to players in real life because of Madden/NCAA... That has to be a glitch or they really messed something up...</p><p> </p><p>

I've noticed holding penalties on field goals/extra points almost 20% of the time. Anyone else?</p>

Anyone else?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah I've had this happen and it's something that needs to be fixed, especially since without playing with the slider a little you never see holding calls on regular downs, which is just crazy. What's even worse is, I've had an end of half situation where after running the 2 minute drill and getting into field goal position, I walked away with nothing because of two holding calls in a row, with the clock expiring on the second one.</p>

<p>Hey, this is the first year I've imported a draft class/bought NCAA, quick question. I had a couple of people who left my team to enter the draft, and they don't seem to be in the list of people I can scout.</p><p> </p><p>

Are they going to show up at the end of the year, or did I just lose them, and now I'm not able to draft them? <p>So, after my first season with the Jaguars I ended up with a 9-7 record (so better than the previous year I guess). However, I didn't make the playoffs sadly. </p><p> </p><p>

To better show how important MJD is to my overall team... Here is his stats at the end of the year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rushing Yards: 819 </strong><em>[Average for him]</em></p><p>

<strong>Rushing TD's: 11</strong></p><p>

Not only did he end up with a decent year running the ball but was an all out reciever out of the backfield. If it wasn't for his big play ability in the passing game I would have lost every single game. Especially Garrard threw for 28 TD"s and 29 INT's. haha.</p><p> </p><p>

For reference, I play on MYSKILL and that tends to range anywhere between 560 and 690 through out the season.</p>

I'm new to the NextGen version of Madden so I'm a little in the dark right now that I've finished my first season. Hopefully, someone on the boards here can shed some light on some questions that I have! Thank you!</p><p> </p><p>

1) Are you unable to take over a new team after the season ends? So, in a sense, when you start a franchise then that's the franchise you have to be until you end up ending the whole thing and starting over from scratch?</p><p> </p><p>

2) While hiring coaches some have bonus's and some don't (ie: +5 ROLB etc.). Is that something that progresses over time? In a sense, is there a benefit to hire a D Coordinator who doesn't have any bonus? At the end of the next year could they all of a sudden acquire certain bonus's going forward for future years?</p><p> </p><p>

As far as hiring coaches I think that the feature is somewhat useless and possibly broken. Most of the coaches don't have any bonuses especially the coaches who are available. I have noticed that most of the coaches who have good bonuses are already on other teams. The bonuses for coaches don't improve or change either.</p><p> </p><p>

If you have a consistent good record each year free agents will want to go to your team and coaches will be easier to hire. Also make sure to use the scouting feature during the season cause there is the chance that your first round pick could be a bust or you could find a steal in the later rounds (I drafted a free safety in the 5th round and he was an 85). I drafted a LT once and he wanted a huge contract. Turns out his overall rating was a 77 but his potential was a D and his rating didn't improve after 4 seasons.</p>

Thanks Fallout. </p><p> </p><p> It sounds like the coaching side of things seems rather stupid. Same with stuff like stadium upgrades. Sure, it's fun to add some things here and there but it no longer tells you the shape of your stadium. So, why even add stuff anyways? It would be nice to see it actually affect something.</p><p> </p><p> Plus, I don't know if they show progression later on down the line but I just checked out my roster and yes... some people progressed, however, there's really no + or - next to the skill level... So, I don't really know what changed?</p>

It seems a little weird that, no matter what, if your player is getting older they get worse. Now I understand that for certain positions but that's not always across the board. </p><p> </p><p>

On the other side, Eugene Monroe allowed 11 sacks last year and yet he's gained by 4 points. hm. I know it's experience but... really?</p>

<p>The older players tend to get worse and sometimes if young players don't play a lot they get worse as well. </p><p> </p><p>

In the old maddens the coaches would all have some kind of bonus but it seems like they only worked on the gameplay and did nothing to improve the franchise mode. The only thing that is really different is the draft and free agency. A lot of stuff in the franchise mode has been taken out.</p>

We still had 3-4 minutes of football left... A lot can happen in that time... Especially considering he was getting the ball back.</p><p> </p><p> He was also one of those always go for it on 4th down even with the lead, no punting, no field goals type of guys too... that is why i refuse to use play now as you don't know what kind of player your going to get. I always go into the lobbies as people are less likely to quit because you can see the person stats before you challenge them or before you accpet there challenge
