ACCBiggz
Cain Velasquez and Shane Carwin were set to due battle for the #1 contendership at UFC 104 later this year, but today that all changed. The UFC opted to give Shane Carwin the title shot at UFC 106. However, Cain Velasquez was not without an opponent for long as Ben Rothwell was pulled from his fight vs. Chase Gormely and slotted against Cain at UFC 104. chris caulfield
I like this move as now if Cain wins which he probably will then Brock can get two challengers instead of one. Also the big question coming out of this is who will now fight Chase Gormely.
justtxyank
So if he wins will people finally think Brock has a legit win?
chris caulfield
Brock already has three legit wins over Mir, Herring and Couture.

And let's not forget if Nogueira/Couture are potentially in line. Randy has talked about fighting Anderson @ 205 and Anderson has brought up fighting Frank Mir at Heavyweight. A lot of interesting fights at least being talked about.

ACCBiggz
Sure, but it's not a "big" question. It's just a question. I'd imagine he'll get a random Heavyweight and the fight will be a prelim at 104, just my first guess.
chris caulfield
Probably and I hope he wins and remains undefeated so he can have that fight with Rothwell. Think this was a good move by UFC as instead of just looking forward to seeing Cain vs. Carwin I am now looking forward to seeing Carwin vs. Lesnar and also Rothwell vs. Cain. chris caulfield
I no longer feel bad for Chase as he has been overtaken by Paulo Thiago. His first three fights in the UFC will be Koscheck, Fitch and now Thiago Alves. What did he do to deserve that. Still a good achievement to come out 1-2 against those three but coming out 2-1 would be amazing. Come on Paulo!!! lol
praguepride
I'm still a little pissed that so many people crap on Brock's accomplishments. Sure he's gotten a prima-donna star push but then again he's been running with it and defeating legit opponents. It's not like he's defending his title against bums off the streets.

Also, does anyone notice a few hints of an alignment with how Brock is being handled. They mega-pushed him past other workers who have "earned their dues" and now that he's champion, it seems like people are dying to see who will finally put him down.

Doesn't that sound familiar, all you wrestling fans?
ACCBiggz
Apprently the reason this fight was made is because Brock wanted to remain active and wanted to fight. Since Fedor wasn't signed he still wanted a fight for the November show and they made the calls to get this fight done. Kudos to Brock for not wanting to sit and wait. jesterx7769
Only reason I am dissapointed is 106 could be a real good if you look at the matches on it now but I was hoping to order 105 if its Silva vs Bisping and Dan Hardy makes it on the card since I like Wand and Hardy and now I am going to have to choose between 105 and

Dublin Sky
This will be an exciting quick fight.......I can't really see Carwin winning this fight. Carwin was rocked in his last fight, once Lesner starts unloading with those hammer fists I think it'll be good night Carwin.

P.S - I do however hope that Shane can KO Brock
rodzillahotrod
isn't carwin being pushed as being big as brock? i know they said carwin trained with randy so randy can get used to the size difference but i really dont think there the same size brock looks like he's the biggest heavyweight in ufc...
buck44f
Carwin is not as big as brock, he's billed as such but he isn't. Carwin has also said that he nevered trained with randy though there were discussion. To me, if carwin doesn't win via punchers chance, Brock via TKO in about the 2nd round. I be rooting for brock as always.
Capelli King
This was the only logical matchup for Brock at the moment, i do not know much about Carwin though, unfortunately did not see any of this fights (damn EU coverage)
ACCBiggz
Chase Gormley vs. Stefan Struve @ UFC 104. Completely unrelated: UFC will air the prelims to UFC 103 on Spike TV to help combat Mayweather/Marquez.

ACCBiggz
I doubt it, but either way it's not a terrible fight. I wouldn't not go just because Kang is being used against Bisping. Much better than the likes of Charles McCarthy and Jason Day, and a former Top 10 Middleweight.
chris caulfield
I wouldn't feel excited enough about a card with Bisping vs. Kang as the headline bout to go out and buy tickets for it.
