I hear ya. The pics ain't a big deal... bios always put me in a really good mood to play the game for sure though. I downloaded Montreal Aftermath pic pack for the beta and it works well for the most part... literally only need some updates here and there tbh.

1999 was such a crucial year... Hunter breaks out as a main event player, Kurt Angle debuts and so many other things happening. Setting it in October is wonderful as thats when Hardys vs. E and C exploded onto the scene and Kurt Angle debuts in November... so much good stuff. Thankyou for making this sir.

Why thank you, I appreciate that. I actually have fun making it, and am debating on making a 2003/4 mod after this one is finished.

1999 is a really historic year for wrestling, and I was shocked there wasn't one already. Wrestling was huge; Everybody in my class watched it. The PPVs always seemed like "Can't miss!" material. There was always interesting news going on, something I feel is lacking from today somewhat. So naturally a 1999 mod seemed perfect, and I knew some would really appreciate it. I'm just glad people seem to really be enjoying it, despite how there are errors here and there that need my fixing, which am I currently in the process of.

Speaking of which, Osaka Pro is my next venture and then 2.5 is good to go!

(BattlARTS guys were hard to find info for, but eventually it came around. I added some new Puro arenas too)

OK, downloaded the new version and it looks great. I ran a month long test and noticed a few odd things.

Firstly, Tammy Sytch and MICKIE JAMES sign with... FMW! Now that's hardcore! (I think they probably should not be set active in Japan...)

ECW's ratings seem OK for their promotional level and WCW seems to doing quite well, on average ECW does C's while WCW pulls B's.

The WWF, however pulls C- to a B- with one B rated RAW in there as well, so they still need some work done, for example The Rock is set at C+ overness in the US... in 1999 he should be at least at A, if not A*. Austin likewise has

B+ to A in the US, should most definately be A* in the US at this point. For Big Show & Triple H overness in the B range is OK, though B+ might be better (in the US that is, and maybe Canada as well). Yeah, and I'd bump Foley up to A as well, he and Rock were main eventing earlier in the year... Jericho could also be upped to a C or C+ in the US and slighty higher, maybe B in Canada.

Also, you seem to have a duplicate of the NJPW Junior tournament title in there. (I made the Best of the Super Juniors title & history, there's a NJPW Top of the Super Junior in the data as well...)

One thing more, NJPW abands it's Junior & Junior Tag titles pretty quickly and creates generic titles to replace them. I think you should make at least the Junior Heavyweight title a Midcard title, instead of Low Level, maybe the Junior Tag belts up to Midcard status also...

EDIT: OK, I upped the WWF guys overness to what I mentioned earlier and their grades shot up to B+ and B for RAW and Smackdown, so it seems to have worked to at least some degree...

FMW is a hard one for testing, as when I did a couple different test runs they didn't hire anybody unusual (Though I think one of the Wildside guys signed with them in one), so I'll alter that.

The overness thing I remember doing, especially with The Rock, but I'll alter it along with all the other things, in which case a new update might come with in the next couple days, maybe even tonight if I'm not lazy.

Top of the Super Juniors was the BOSJ's name until 1994 (4 tournys as TOSJ). Only reason for separate entries would be title histories, with TOSJ set as inactive, but really no need one entry as BOSJ with TOSJ history as well is sufficient I'd say. It was a simple name change.

Jr. Heavy should definitely be a Midcard title, the Jr Tag should probably be as well at that point.

<p>Before you release a new update could I ask for a few cosmetic corrections to the data...</p><p> </p><p>

Firstly in WCW Bill Goldberg's contract name (as in the name under which he appears in WCW should be just Goldberg. The same goes for Lex Luger who is in WCW as The Total Package, but I think simply Lex Luger would suffice.</p><p> </p><p>

And Jeff Jarrett's WWF contract is not set to expire in 1 month in the new updated data you released, so that needs correcting as well...</p><p> </p><p>

Nothing more than that for now.</p>

<p>Don't know how I missed this - 1999 was right when I was getting back into wrestling after a few years out. Definitely have to check this out <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

In order to be consistent with the CVerse, I'd argue that no-one should be at A* popularity, other than maybe Hogan (and his horrible in-ring skills and backstage attitude would klimit his usefulness). A high A for Austin, and a low A for Rock would be about right, I guess - 99/00 was Rock's breakout point as the top man in WWF, but at this point Austin was the undisputed top dog. Both, I'm sure, have sky-high charisma and SQ, so they should be capable of achieving that magic A*.</p><p> </p><p>

Out of curiosity, how is Austin portayed in the mod? Obviously he's about 6 weeks away from being sidelined with neck/back problems that put him out for over a year in RL, but I guess there's no way of replicating that in the game...</p>

<p>I'd however argue, even based on C-Verse, that Austin should be at A* popularity in the US because at this point in time he was drawing huge TV ratings, PPV buys, merchandise etc. and Hogan was not. The WWF was basically riding on the back of Austin for most of '98 and '99 and is the biggest reason why they were able to beat WCW in the ratings to begin with. </p><p>

The same goes for The Rock, who at this point would also be a very high A or A*.</p><p> </p><p>

The way I see it there ought to be three A* guys in the US; Austin, Rock and Hogan. And one A* guy in Japan: Inoki. The rest of the WCW and WWF main event would probably be around B+ to A, or even a B.</p>

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. Without you all there would be some key errors that would slip by me. :)

Lex Luger is in as TTP because after returning in September, he did a "Funeral" for the Lex Luger name and would only go by The Total Package. Of course, some of the announcers would still say "The Total Package" Lex Luger, but the general idea was still there.

I believe I gave Austin 97 overness in America, and Rock around 93, and Hogan I believe is still around 94-ish? I'm trying to do some tweaking here and there for both WCW and the WWF to make it even. I'm quite pleased with how ECW's overness system played out as well as all the new puro feds like Osaka Pro.

Give me today and it could be released tonight or tomorrow.
