Maybe Lesnar wasn't given enough credibility, but that remains to be seen. Lately they are going with all 'serious' contenders making an immediate impact. Corbin imo was used well too.

I expected them to debut her as a valet to promote someone for a couple of months before letting her back in-ring, so there could be something interesting for her. But then again, that wouldn't mesh well with the self-centered promo's.

And I don't think Naomi is awful at all. The execution isn't flawless, but we're not exactly talking about core/basic moves. When it's flashy, it's excusable imo. And she got a nice reaction (given it's not edited in).

Agree, Naomi is fine. Sure, she isn't Sasha or Baylee in there, but she's a solid hand and the fans like her.

And agree on Lesnar, the promo by heyman made that make the 2nd shock elimination make sense, and will make Brock's eventual WM win all the better at rebuilding his character.

The problem will be where do they go from there. Because I'm only really interested in the "re energized, focused beast!!!" narrative after WM I'm sure they are hoping for if you know, he's around and working consistent programs with guys.

I am putting in my prediction that Reigns vs Taker at WM ends up being a career on the line match for Taker, and completes Roman's eventual heel turn that's been talked about. Anyone's thoughts?

Honestly that would probably be a good idea. Roman already has heat with most of the crowd they might as well give him something to rub in the faces of fans the rest of his career

The "yeah, but" promo was decent, but he's done better promos imo, though I wasn't paying that much attention to RAW so I could've missed out on some.

Lesnar vs Goldberg will probably happen, but a "loser retires" stipulation wouldn't hold much merit unless some promo sets it up.

A Reigns heel turn has been talked about, but isn't that more wishful thinking on fans' part, or is there a chance it actually happens?

They can play it off as Reigns being divisive or enigmatic, or an anti-hero type character because they are in at the moment. They can use it to dramatic effect when you think he's gonna win the Rumble but he's the last man tossed out. Reigns provokes the audience, he grabs their attention and they react to pretty much his every move. It's lightning in a bottle, they have this weird kind of magic with the dude. They also probably reckon that the reason WrestleMania 32 did such a great gate was because of Roman being on top. I'm not making excuses, I just don't believe Reigns is the root cause here.

Besides, what do you do if you turn Reigns heel? The original plan was for Balor to win the Universal title, probably retain against Rollins once more and then feud with Owens. Once Balor got injured, they really had no choice but to turn to Reigns because they have no great babyfaces on the RAW brand. If they did have this Daniel Bryan-esque babyface being held back, they would have slotted them right into the void left by Balor's injury. But they don't have anybody because Sami Zayn just isn't working and Seth Rollins couldn't come across as a nice guy if it came out tomorrow that he spends his spare time volunteering in a soup kitchen. But what about making a new guy against Reigns? Well, it's a waste of time investing in a heel turn if he's just going to eat losses. The dude that Reigns would feud with would be dead the moment he loses because he wouldn't have solved the Roman Reigns problem, similar to the Cena Effect that killed Bray Wyatt.

The only solution is for the fans to get behind somebody in the way they got behind Punk in 2011 and Bryan in 2013. But until that happens, Reigns will continue to be the big dog because there simply isn't an alternative that makes business sense.

With the right storylines and pushes they can shift Reigns into an on-purpose tweener role in the future and use him to put popular babyfaces over -- like when Cena feuded with Punk and Bryan. Zayn or someone fresh out of NXT. Interesting babyfaces are in scarce right now.

At the moment I have no real problem with Reigns' booking. He's been booked strong, rarely losing clean in the past 6 months. It is what it is and there are many wrestlers I found more boring to watch than Roman. What I can't stand is the superman punch spamming, particuarly on Raw. Either he's phoning it outside of big PPV matches (Rumble excluded because he spammed there) or Vince has a hard-on for superman punches. That needs to improve.

http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers/roman-reigns-6728.html?prom_id=2

Honestly I don't even watch RAW anymore because of my head getting beat against a wall putting up with the insanely bad Roman booking....I'm just plain sick of the tweener crap they are trying to pull with him. I watch Smackdown when my schedule allows it but RAW I've taken a big pass on and Roman is one of the main reasons. I can barely stand the guy when I have to put up with him on PPVs. I don't want to sound like a broken record but I just don't buy into Tweener booking because Roman to me is just not talented enough to pull it off.

WWE 2k17 hit PC yesterday or so, so be sure to tune up dat graphics card before getting it to make sure it runs smoothly.

According to Itachi (he's got some fantastic CAWs of Japanese guys) putting up a benchmark video on his YT channel, it's supposed to be locked at 60fps, so that's something to look forward to for both playing and recording for you gfx powerhouses out there. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'm in the first half of 1996 in my Monday Night Wars rewatch, and it's really ironic watching Vince endlessly mock WCW for putting "tired old guys" Hogan and Savage, both of whom were in their mid 40's, in the main events. Meanwhile in 2017 the Wrestlemania main event will feature a 39 year old Lesnar vs. a 50 (!) year old Goldberg. Likely the two other matches that will be pushed the hardest will feature 47 year old Triple H and 51 year old Undertaker, who will actually be 52 by the time we get to Mania.

Yup....he is really into "building new stars" so much he forgot his own formula on how to do it. I'm still critical of the choice of feeding Undertaker's streak to Brock instead of a full time main eventer. And Brock got fed to Goldberg of all people?

Very ironic and I honestly thought about that the other day. WWE is making the same mistakes WCW and AWA made.

The Raw with Goldberg advertised, and the Smackdown's with Cena, do better in the ratings. In my mind the only "new" guy they got over last year is AJ.
