In any case, Punk was fine with the promoing, Swagger was boring.

watched the hell in a cell with Cactus Jack vs. Triple H on the Network(hadn't seen it since the first show) character-study wise Stephanie was downright sadistic. Triple H throws Cactus through the roof and she has this Cheshire grin on her face the entire time, Triple H actually shows concern like even holding up the title at the end he doesn't even smile, even as a baddie who had Stone Cold run over like...damn woman you vicious hahaha

I was at least thinking Sasha Banks would be in the Women's match to make it a triple threat.</p>

I got the impression that Adam Cole's going to get kicked out of the Bullet Club on the NJPW show tomorrow (well, it probably starts in like four hours but it's tomorrow for me.) If that happens, you can pretty much start the countdown to Cole in NXT later in 2017.

<p>Raw was mostly a waste of time. Joe vs Cesaro was good for a short match and the (presumably accidental) Braun/Reigns spot with the exploding turnbuckle was great.</p><p> </p><p>

Smackdown on the other hand was a really good show.</p>

<p>SD! was indeed a good show. Too bad this whole turnover for Bray doesn't mean that much as he's been beaten a lot in the past years. Good example of a turn segment. It doesn't always have to be a surprise. However, I thought it was badly implemented in the show. Why have the no1 condender match restarted when you're going to introduce a new participant? Should've postponed it to next week and then have Randy interject himself imo. Or at the very least let Harper win, so a triple threat would be a possibility given how decent Harper is pulling off his part. </p><p> </p><p>

Skipped RAW for the second week in a row, but it seems I shouldn't have regrets based on the comments here and on the internet in general.</p>

Jack Swagger asked for his release from WWE, maybe he can get his just dues in TNA or ROH.

<p>Swagger was a good wrestler and did have some decent matches during his time, but this was a case of someone being too good to be true.</p><p> </p><p>

People thought he'd be the next Kurt Angle, but the problem was that Swagger was a hot mess on the mic and it didn't help that he had a terrible world title reign. His partnership with Zig-rrero felt random and out of place of all this.</p><p> </p><p>

I thought maybe his run with Zeb Coulter would finally make him interesting, but Swagger had to go ruin everything and get arrested for getting stoned. He never recovered after that debacle.</p><p> </p><p>

But yeah, he could have been a decent upper midcarder if given the chance; but all in all, Swagger was a case of expecting too much from someone not up to par.</p>

<p>Bit of a harsh judgment on Swags here, imo. I thought Swagger always had a great heel charisma to him and I thought his goofy arrogance around the time of his world title reign was really entertaining. The stuff with the Swagger Soaring Eagle and the sandwich bar in his home town supposedly namely a sandwich after him was all great. Such was Swagger's magnetism that one of my non-wrestling buddies actually somehow picked up his taunts and mannerisms and would ape them when he won at pool.</p><p> </p><p>

He was never stellar in the ring but he was sound and I'm sure he'll do well for himself wherever he ends up.</p>

Anyone else annoyed by the generic-sounding music to a lot of the newer guys. If they must be instrumental, fine, but I find it confusing when they all sound the same. KO, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns even Dean Ambrose called out Baron Corbin for saying he stole the motorcycle part of his music(must there be two guys with motorcycle sounds in their music?). They're different but not by too much to where they are easy to distinguish.

USA Network needs to up their Production and Music requirements.

I'll agree that all of those themes are pretty generic/boring. None of them really stand out.

 

In NXT if the Authors of Pain and Sanity are coming out, I honestly have no idea which one of them it is until the camera actually shows them.

 

Some of the unique themes that NXT has are kind of annoying too. I can't stand Liv Morgan (hate the Yo yo yo) or Peyton/Billie's either (theme just annoys me, I much preferred the one before that).

 

On the other hand, there have been some really good themes recently (Nakamura, Roode, Asuka, Ember Moon).

 

In general, I think I preferred Jim Johnson's work to the CFO$ overall. They're not bad, they just don't have as many standouts/iconic themes in my opinion.

Now that I think about it, the Titan Tron videos are bland too. It's someone's name or logo, no videos unless they've been around forever. Some entrances make up for blandness though and at least show some personality like Cesaro's James Bond or Bray Wyatt's entrance.

But nope seems like the terrible Shane vs AJ idea could happen. At least when Vince needed an ego rub his Mania matches made sense. Hogan, HBK, Bret Hart. Shane is like "gotta fight Styles...... Just because!"</p>

Just because!"</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, as bad as it sounds I'd rather they leave guys off the card than shoehorn them in, or just book the top guys only because it's Wrestlemania and it should be the best of the best not the entire roster on the card.</p><p> </p><p> They should have Styles complain about not having a match at Mania and challenge someone from NXT to step up and face him (like Nakamura or Dillinger). Shane wrestling Taker was fine because it was hyped as a special one-of-a-kind match. I don't need to see Shane wrestle ever again.</p>
