Blodyxe
I think Aries has a big enough ego to be insulted about the fact creative has nothing for him. He can't just be stuck in the cruiserweight division, and apparently they only wanted him there. He knows he's a great wrestler, he will be just fine somewhere else. Also, why so many tag teams are breaking up? They beat that thing into the ground a month ago, now you guys talka bout AA and Bros being next. Worst thing is nobody will care and it will lead them nowhere. One pay-per-view match that won't be anything special and then just nothing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmiwSNsjbeA
Blackman
Might just be it. He's been a TNA big dog in the past, and big everywhere else. Now he's stuck at 205 and with a Mania appearance in the books, therr's little for him to achieve there. His added fame won't hurt his pricecard either. As for tag teams: I never cared for those matches so I dont mind, but ut seems bad for business to break then up all at once.
CQI13
So Braun won the match...and Reigns throws a hissy fit?
Blodyxe
I tuned in near the end of Strowman-Reigns match and oh boy I burst out of laughter when Roman jumped in the back of the ambulance trying to spear Braun. Also that angle where he drove the car in the truck or smth, I kept asking myself why wouldn't they drive the ambulance forward and try to get to Strowman through main ambulance doors instead of us looking at Jamie Noble with a crowbar and Angle losing his shit praying. Then Lesnar/Joe happened, expected to see some screwy finish to set a rematch for Summerslam, but nah, 6 minutes from bell to bell will do
jjohns44
<p>Wow. The only face to win was Sasha.. And it was a countout victory? How one-sided. </p><p> </p><p> And Roman retired Taker, comes to the ring wearing Kane's attire(close enough with the red and black, especially the back of the top)</p><p> Whatchoo got with the brothers of destruction, Reigns?</p>
CQI13
<p>So is this Raw Talk part of the storylines? Because Sasha just sounds like a bitter [expletive deleted].</p><p> </p><p> I did think Joe/Lesnar was a fun match.</p>
jjohns44
You know you are on the chopping block to be released when they show you wrestle for like 2 minutes, and as soon as the fire engines come in, they hone in on the backstage stuff and don't even show you finish the match. Why even have the match. You could have had another promo for Battleground or Wrestlemania, have the commentators sit there and act all serious until the fire engines get there, disrespectful even if they are a couple of jobbers put out for a filler. Warhawk8492
I hope they do a double turn but I doubt it knowing WWE's crappy booking. Roman SHOULD be a heel at this point.

The purpose of the match was to entertain the live crowd while they couldn't see Braun getting make up done after the ambulance spot. The crowd didn't see what we saw on tv. So it very much served a purpose.
milamber
<p><strong>Great Balls of Fire:</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Neville vs Tozawa</strong> - Solid match but the ending was a little weak.</p><p> <strong>Bray vs Rollins</strong> - Solid match hurt by a rushed heatless feud. Bray winning was the right call because he needed it more. Now if only they would evolve his character into something better.</p><p> <strong>Enzo vs Cass</strong> - OK squash which was all it needed to be. Enzo is over. Cass is getting heat. His new theme sucks, though.</p><p> <strong>Hardy Boyz vs Shesaro</strong> - Good for a long match although I fast-forwarded parts of it. This feud should have been over last PPV but the tag division has no depth.</p><p> <strong>Sasha vs Bliss</strong> - Good match. Just what the division needed. I didn't mind Alexa's cheap win because she knew Sasha had her number so it made sense. The double joint trick is cool but the Raw crew not seeing her do it 6 months ago on Smackdown is dumb.</p><p> <strong>Miz vs Ambrose</strong> - Solid but overbooked match. They need someone fresh in the IC title scene like Strowman, Rollins or Balor. Anyone but the usual suspects.</p><p> <strong>Strowman vs Reigns</strong> - Great match and post-match angle. I predicted Reigns would spear himself into the ambulance and I wasn't disappointed! Strowman and Reigns need to officially change alignment to match their crowd reactions and the way they were booked.</p><p> <strong>Joe vs Lesnar</strong> - Half of a good match. It was too short by at least 5 minutes to be satisfying and Brock winning with a single F5 was terrible. The Kimura Lock being used to disable Joe's finisher first would have made more sense. Are they paying Lesnar by minute?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Verdict:</strong> A strong card on paper but not in execution. Only 2 matches really stood out for me.</p>
Blackman
I liked the Ppv. Everything was solid apart from what milander mentioned about the single f5. Brock seemed to have difficulties with long matches (coming from ironman matches with Angle). I liked the womens match despite the finish (which indeed made sense). What did not make sense was the ambulance fallout and the imprompu jobber match without finish.

That DGUSA storyline was a shoot, apparently, based on his real feelings at the time. From what Meltzer speculated at the time the release was announced, Aries had been trying to get out of the cruiserweight division (for good reason) but there was lots of resistance from creative. So when they don't have anything for you (not even garbage like Cedric & Noam Dar are saddled with), I could see wanting to get out completely. Especially if you're dealing with nagging type injuries that could use time off to recover from.</p>

Mootinie
<p>I'm a little confused about this upcoming SummerSlam and what WWE are thinking with regards the booking.</p><p> </p><p> It's been suggested in the past that they are trying to make it a second WrestleMania and certainly the past couple of years have suggested that they are making an effort to define it as the second most important event on the calendar year. WrestleMania is the only other place you would see special singles matches like Lesnar vs. Orton and Lesnar vs. Taker.</p><p> </p><p> But this year... I know it's too early to judge and all that but normally they free their programs up at this point and start with a fresh, new direction. Not this year, we're getting rematches, previously ran rivalries and multi-person cluster matches. The only feud on the RAW side of things that appears to be fresh is going to be Bray vs. Balor, which they started and cut short after WrestleMania to do that god-awful House of Horrors match. It's not a lock that they will run Bray vs. Balor but neither man is in a program as of the end of yesterday's show so... i guess they have to?</p><p> </p><p> The rest is <em>been there done that</em> territory for me. The Number One Contenders match announced on RAW is pointing to a four way match, which is smart with regards them already having ran through Reigns vs. Joe but I wanted Lesnar vs. Strowman. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I think if they run a four way, they probably have Lesnar pinning Joe so Strowman vs. Reigns can continue, that is feud of the year at the moment so it's only right to keep it going. But I'm fearing already that last year's rumour of Reigns vs. Lesnar headlining WrestleMania will probably turn out true in this scenario.</p><p> </p><p> Yeah, I'm not really digging this card. Maybe, you the reader, are but I am not unfortunately. Hopefully the SmackDown side of things can save this one. What do people think we're going to see from SmackDown on this card?</p>
Jaysin
Kyle O'Reilly is pure garbage. Why in the blue hell was he signed? BHK1978
<p>In regards to Austin Aires. I say good riddance to bad rubbish. Though I wish the WWE would have kept him under contract and kept him on the 205 Live roster, just so he could continue to be miserable.</p><p> </p><p> I have to say I have never been a fan of that dude. He always came across to me as a bit of a...how to say this in a PG setting...jerk. Yes I know that is his persona but I think there is more reality to that persona than most think.</p><p> </p><p> I remember when he was in TNA and he was trashing the fans (Over what I cannot recall), talking about how much they suck and whatnot. Keep in mind that he was saying this while he was not a heel but one of the top faces in the company. Therefore, I think it is safe to say we know how he really feels about the fans.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Kyle O'Reilly is pure garbage. Why do I have a feeling Kyle will washout before he even makes it to the main roster. </p><p> </p><p> Like you said the guy has no charisma and cannot cut an even semi-good promo. I remember when they had him doing color commentary for ROH and he was just so god awful. I was actually praying that either Mongo or Don West would appear out of nowhere to take his place.</p><p> </p><p> Then again I said the same thing about Roderick Strong (no personality and he is not very well spoken on the mic) and he seems to be doing well in NXT. Granted I do not watch NXT because I refuse to pay for the network but I keep up with it by reading about it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Keep Kyle away from Fish.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I agree with this as well. Bobby Fish is totally the Shawn Michaels of that team. Now I don't see Bobby becoming big in the WWE (Wow I just caught myself typing WWF there:o), but I do think he could be a very good midcard guy. Maybe have him in a tag team or something.</p>
Blackman
<p>So he's rubbish because you don't like how he talks about fans? Fans nowadays more often than not step away from positive criticism and just blast people for bogus reasons. You might relate (no offense). Quite 'jerky' to wish someone is miserable. I can see his point. </p><p> </p><p> I'm excited for the third tourney on the network. Always had a love for female workers, partly because they often emphasise an emotional approach. Watched all of 205's tourney and it was great.</p>
Rickymex
To be fair if Austin was thrashing the TNA fans then he probably meant the Impact Zone fans who were the worst. They were either free tourists who didn't give a **** or super smarks who felt they owned the arena. Also WWE has canceled Talking Smack as an after Smackdown show. Just stupid shit considering the show has been a godsend for a large portion of the roster as a place to show their promo skills without having to stand in the ring giving monologues. Most character development came from there than from the actual TV show.

In interviews I have read about him he comes across as an egotistical jerk and on top of that he does trash the fans. You know the people who are helping him put food in his mouth.</p><p> </p><p> If he hates the job and the fans so much he should go find something else to do. He should not keep on threatening to retire or whatever he is trying to do. There are a ton of workers on the independent scene that would gladly be in the position he was in.</p><p> </p><p> As the customers of the product the fans can say whatever they want about the product or the wrestlers. Negative feedback can be just as good if not better than positive feedback. Jaysin
The only promo I can think of where a face Austin Aries trashed TNA fans was when he called out fans that stream the ppvs illegally and told them to get a job and out of their mothers' basements.
