Smackdown Review:

Cesaro vs Kofi - Short match that made Cesaro look strong. Nice touch with Cesaro refusing to let the ref raise his hand.

Barrett interview with Renee - Good work from BNB running down RVD and putting the IC Title over as more important than the US Title.

Shield promo - Solid promo. Rollins, who took lead, sounded better than usual on the mic.

Tamina vs Paige - Fox was ringside taking pics on her phone and parading around with the Divas Belt. Paige showed her inexperience, getting angry and distracted. She managed to catch Tamina with the Paige Turner made her tap the PTO (Paige's Tap Out aka The Scorpion Crosslock). What a huge difference a little effort makes when booking the Divas division.

Woods vs Dallas - I love JBL the Boliever. Bo could put on a crap match and I'd still enjoy him for his gimmick.

Sheamus vs BNB - Good physical match. Sheamus winning was the right call heading into the clash with Cesaro. Sheamus intimidating Heyman after the match was a nice touch. Unifying the big 2 titles and having quality midcarders fighting over the US and IC titles is starting to pay off.

Titus vs Big E - Squash match. Big E and Rusev had a flag waving battle. Lana telling the fans to stop their USA chants was awesome!

Swagger vs Rose - Fun comedy match won by Rose with a unique pinning manouever.

Bray vs Jimmy Uso (Last Man Standing) - Good match. Despite the No DQ stipulation I'm glad there was minimal interference as it made Bray look stronger.

Verdict: A surprisingly strong pre-Payback show.

<p>Wow Billy Graham is insanely closeminded. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>"Hello Facebook friends,<p> </p><p> This message will be my last as I have decided after watching the entire Smackdown show that aired Friday night May 30th, that I am wasting my time viewing the WWE shows. There are of course many very good matches and hard-working top guys out there performing for you fans. To quote 2 lines from Bob Dylan's " Wedding Song " tune, sum's up my position perfectly, " It's never been my duty to remake the world at large.... Nor is it my intention to lead a battle charge. "</p><p> </p><p> It is not my job and I have no business to critique or pass along any negative judgment on the WWE. Believe me there are plenty of critics around to opine on the state of the WWE.</p><p> </p><p> Last night when I saw Bo Dallas running around the ring acting like an idiot and hugging his opponent Xavier Woods when the match was over I wanted to vomit. Then here come the effeminate Pete Rose sucking on a lollipop, followed by maybe 15 of his circus troupe of freaks and geek's, he gives me the creeps. Then came the dwarf El Torito dressed in a children's bull costume who proceeds to pin a normal size wrestler. By then I did indeed vomit.</p><p> </p><p> I get intelligent responses from my Facebook friends and then I get ignorant ones like this one from from Dan Pedreyra who wrote about Cesaro and I quote " Give Cesaro time to develop, he's learning, he's hanging out with Cena." Who the F is Cena ? God ? I will tell you who got it right in her response and that is Jaynie Mullins Mullins, who said and I quote, " The WWE is now the WWZZZZZZZZZZ. "</p><p> </p><p> Peace,</p><p> </p><p> Superstar Billy Graham"</p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

<p>I agree with him about El Torito, they've gone too far with the Hornswoggle/Torito feud IMO. It's almost like they're the stars of the feud and not 3MB/Los Matadores.</p><p> </p><p>

Other than that, I also agree with his lack of interest in the WWE in general. The only storylines worth watching are Wyatt/Cena for Wyatt's promos mainly and Evolution/Shield. There are highlights of the WWE, especially in the undercard with guys like Cesaro and Sheamus, The Usos, etc. putting in work, but the WWE fails at making everything around the spectrum feel interesting and they've been failing at that since 2005 at the earliest.</p><p> </p><p>

I disagree with him about Bo Dallas and Adam Rose. Dallas' gimmick is good and i think theres some potential in him to be an early 2000's Kurt Angle esque character in where he's the morally good guy that everyone hates. Rose seems to have a slightly effeminate character but nothing unbearable to watch or vomit inducing so I feel that Graham is being close minded in that regard (not that theres anything wrong with being effeminate in this day and time).</p>

To be fair, Graham is a born again Christian so him hating an effeminate character really isn't shocking. I'm not really saying it's okay for him to be put off by a effeminate character, but that's probably where is mind set is.

I love Adam Rose. He is probably one of the most fun characters in a long time.

The thing that made me laugh was "Who the F is Cena?" line. Come the hell on, that's just ignorant.

Especially since what he's complaining about is the culmination of the style he helped pioneer.</p><p> </p><p> And since I'm a Christian (albeit a rather crappy one), I feel this needs to be said, I fail to see how anyone who actually wishes to be "Christ-like" can act so hateful over someone else having fun and not hurting a single person.</p>

I enjoyed the PPV last night. I thought the opening match between Cesaro and Sheamus was excellent. The RVD/Barrett match was also well done. I went to bed before the main event, so from what I saw, the Cena/Wyatt match stole the show. The stairs from Cena over the top rope to nail Wyatt was an incredible spot. I think Bray looked very strong coming back from that.

When I woke up this morning I couldn't believe that Evolution put the Shield over the way they did. I'm impressed with HHH, Orton and Batista for letting these younger guys get back to back PPV wins. Overall I thought it was a decent show. I wouldn't have paid PPV money to watch it, so having the WWE Network is awesome.

Not to nitpick but the line was: this is my ex-girlfriend and my future ex-girlfriend.

I remember because it's such a witty line.

The event last night was good, even if the first hour felt like RAW. The last match saved the show and I legit feel for the WWE with the D-B title thing. Rough spot to be in.

Also no Punk and I didn't care. RR 2015 maybe? Will I care?

WWE Payback Review:

Sheamus vs Cesaro (US Title) - Great match. Cesaro was booked like a beast. Sheamus winning with a Small Package instead of a Brogue Kick made him look lucky which is fine. I marked out for Cesaro's Alpamere Waterslide but the damn commentators didn't call it.

Rhodes Bros vs Rybaxel - Solid match. Interesting way to break up Cody and Goldy.

Rusev vs Big E - Solid match. Rusev sold Big E's moves and showed more agression. If he can work a 10-15 minute match of this standard without getting gassed then he could do well. Lana was fantastic.

Kofi vs The Inspirational Bo Dallas - JBL got the streak wrong (Bo's beaten Sin Cara twice and Woods once so it's 3-0 not 2-0). Could have done without Kane but Bo made the most of his mic time.

RVD vs BNB (IC Title) - Good match.

Steph, Bryan & Brie - Entertaining segment. Even Brie wasn't awful.

Bray vs Cena - Great match and the best in their feud by far. Even the ending was cool, thought a double count-out might have been the better option if the feud isn't over.

Fox vs Paige (Divas Title) - Solid match but could have been better. Would have preferred Fox to win so they could have a back-and-forth feud over the belt before adding AJ into the mix.

Evolution vs The Shield - Great match. The first 10 minutes was average then it turned into a street fight and kicked into high gear. Didn't expect a clean sweep for The Shield but it's not like HHH or Batista needed the win. Orton needs a get a few wins under his belt before they job him out again.

Verdict: NXT Takeover set the benchmark this week but Payback was better than I expected. The main event matches were more brutal than the entire Extreme Rules PPV. Only negative was the crap commentary and out-of-tune crowd.

<p>Some people seemed to love it but I thought it was just ok</p><p> </p><p>

It had a lot of cool spots but the outside interference from the Usos/Wyatts made the match much better than Cena and Wyatt in a standalone match. Without them it was basically do a move and lay for 20 seconds</p><p> </p><p>

Though I will say it had by far the most deadly steel steps spot of all time</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Cena/Wyatt definitely stole the show for me, I don't even care that it was an overbooked spotfest, it was very entertaining and some of the spots looked damn painful. </p><p> </p><p>

Evolution/Shield was a good match, although I felt it was harmed by some pretty poor booking decisions. I felt a lot of things didn't make sense to me (Evolution not even attempting to pin Reigns when they were dominating him 3 on 1, The Shield doing a clean sweep, the eliminations all occuring so quickly) but it was still an entertaining match.</p>
