<p>The most recent NXT was a really fun show</p><p> </p><p>

The girls continue to be light years ahead of what the main roster ever was and the main event was brilliant all the way around. Neville/Zayn vs International Airstrike should be a true barn burner whenever it happens though I can't help but feel that Breeze is looking like an afterthought at the moment. Even Tyson's sitdown interview was good and he deserves another main roster push so I hope that's where this goes. Hopefully him and Gabriel together.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NXT Review:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Big Cass vs Leforte</strong> - This could develop into an actual tag team fued if they did more than squash matches.</p><p> <strong>Charlotte & Sasha vs Bayley & Lynch</strong> - Good match with the heels going over. NXT women's tag matches are always fun (and have a purpose). On the main roster they just throw divas together and wonder why the crowd don't care.</p><p> <strong>Parker vs Cutler</strong> - Parker won a squash match and cut a decent promo on Woods. He's doing the best with his gimmick but people still don't care.</p><p> <strong>Tyson Kidd</strong> - Good interview with Renee where he came up with excuses for his recent behavior and performances (subtly blaming Natalya). When Renee asked about possible marital problems, Tyson walked out.</p><p> <strong>Zayn vs Gabriel</strong> - Good open match. Zayn won with the Koji Clutch. Kidd (who was ringside) attacked him and encouraged Gabriel to join in. Neville came to Sami's rescue. I'm glad Gabriel is on NXT where he can really show his ability. The Brainbuster on the knee was sick!</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Verdict:</span></strong> Good show.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://33.media.tumblr.com/c429c9d68b8e8ef5c7dd14944e98247b/tumblr_n86033G8vt1qhjbxeo1_500.gif</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Teh_Showtime" data-cite="Teh_Showtime" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The most recent NXT was a really fun show. I hope I'm not the only one who picked up on Tyson's subtle digs at Natalya in the interview with Renee. The reviews I've read only seem to mention that it was a standard interview and went on too long.</p>

Smackdown Review:

Sheamus vs Del Rio (US Championship) - Good match. I wish they'd let Sheamus win with the Cloverleaf occasionally. Brogue-Kick-Outta-Nowhere is almost as boring as Cena's AA.

Stardust & Goldust - I love their segments.

Dallas vs Diego - OK match, good character work. Bo's interaction with El Torito was funny, then he momentarily snapped. His moveset is lacking but Bo works well with all his opponents. I can't wait for Bryan to return and feud with him. Bryan should end the streak and Bo can get annoyed and start cheating to win like he did on NXT.

Jericho & Bray - Let the mic duel begin. Miz also cut a promo before eating another Code Breaker.

Big E vs Cesaro - I hate the Southern Preacher voice. The match never started and instead we got a good brawl with no decisive winner.

Eva vs AJ - Eva is too slow and doesn't commit to her offense. Paige shook AJ's hand and kept clapping with a smile on her face. They can keep this feud going until SummerSlam if they book it right.

Sandow, Rusev & Swagger - Bruce Springsteen gimmick for Sandow. No match. Rusev tossed him out of the ring and Lana cut an anti 4th of July promo. Zeb interrupted and cut his own pro USA promo. He had the crowd chanting "We the People!" Rusev backed down from Swagger. The crowd loved it!

Orton vs Ambrose - Good match. Rollins was entertaining on commentary. Ambrose was selling his inured shoulder like a boss. It ended in a DQ after Rollins hit Ambrose with the briefcase in retaliation for being jumped a few minutes earlier. Reigns (who had been banned from interfering duing the match) stoppped the ensuing beatdown.

Verdict: Good show.

Enzo and Cass to me have the potential to be the next New Age Outlaws. Enzo is sensational on the mic and Colin is pretty good on his own as well. The crowd gets into their antics because they are genuinely funny, if they got as much mic time as say Bo Dallas on the main roster, they would be able to get over. Neither is particularly good in the ring yet but they have a great big man/little man dynamic that has been missing in tag teams for years now.

Just thought of a potentially fun Royal Rumble scenario. Every time Adam Rose gets thrown over the top, he body surfs on his Rose Buds. I chuckled just thinking about it.

That's actually a pretty awesome idea. It would be a good comedy spot to counter point Lori's usual RR spot.

The thing is that they will need more backstage scenes and promos to establish their personality instead of just being thrown to the crowd after a few vignettes that establish very little. It works in NXT because the crowd is smaller but I just don't think their charisma would establish itself as quick in the larger arena.

Hell that's genius. lol Could legitimately say his feet never really touched the ground in that scenario. A comedic way of outside interference, allowing the Rose Buds to carry Rose for a few minutes before an opportunistic moment arises for him to return to the ring. :D

Even better if another comedy heel like Fandango or Sandow tries to do the same thing, and the Rosebuds just don't catch him.

Lots of comedy potential indeed.

The Goldust Stardust team was 'gold': great promo's.

Not sure what they're doing with Paige now. The women already have the crazy gimmick, now they seem to recycle the adoration gimmick that was also a part of the WM22 Mickie James persona. Oh well, just some passtime I suppose to have it culminate at Summerslam hopefully.

I wish she'd come out and be the Anti-Diva. I guess AJ has some sort of ground in that as well, but maybe she could bring that edge back out in AJ. Paige is just so incredibly generic right now.

Raw Review:

Reigns vs Kane - Even Reigns can deliver a solid promo when he's given a little leeway with the script. Good brawl. Spear on Finlay!

The Wyatts vs The Usos - The feud is in the spamming phase but their chemistry is so good their matches are always entertaining.

Rusev vs RVD - Solid match. Finally Rusev is getting quality opponents.

Orton vs Ambrose - Good match. Ambrose wrestling like a heel is awesome. "TANGO INDIA TANGO TANGO YANKEE" sign!

Del Rio vs Ziggler - Solid match. Return of the reverse superplex. Fonzango was entertaining. Why is not a babyface yet?

Sandow vs Sheamus - Bret punching Damien Sandhart was fun. The match was OK.

Jericho vs Miz - Good match. The Y2J/Bray feud is off to a decent start considering it was only greenlit by Vince before Raw last week.

Funkadactyls vs Paige & AJ - Paige subtly taking the mickey out of AJ again while the commentators play it off as her being nice. The Naomi/Cameron fight was decent (I want Naomi to destroy her!). The Divas division got more development in this show than they usually get in an entire month. Shame the other stuff was a tame Crazy fox segment and Fandango's love triangle (Summer needs to disentangle and turn heel before Sasha and Charlotte get called up).

Cesaro vs Kofi - Multi-lingual heeling from Cesaro. Solid match while it lasted.

El Torito vs Dallas - Silly but entertaining. Bo is gold.

Cena vs Rollins - Good match with a crazy finish. Rollins pulled a Skywalker on Cena for the 2nd time.

Verdict: Good show.

I hate to bring this up and if I'm honest I didn't check to see if this has been brought up in this forum before but what does everyone think about this CM Punk situation? I like CM Punk and to be honest, these days (well before he left), I'd only keep Raw on if Punk had a promo or a match but other than that I ain't too interested in the way things are going with the company and haven't been for awhile but I'll support the WWE and flick on a re-run if there is nothing else on but CM Punk is a very talented wrestler and an entertaining guy, so why not just bury the hatchet, see what his demands are and compromise. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to see him back, he's a clear draw. This may just be me cause Punk has been my favorite wrestler since he's become a main eventer in WWE and he's the only wrestler I've truly been a big fan of since Austin and Rock left.

He can do what he wants. His life, his career, his health, he doesn't need our money (I assume) and if he wants he can tell all his fans to go screw themselves or come back randomly.

I've soured on him honestly, and I don't think I'd care much if he came back. But whatever. I respect him for what he's done.

I actually think that the product is better without him than it was right before he left, but that's not his fault. Overall Im not the biggest Punk fan and I wasnt before he left so while he is a good talent and probably one of the best talents they could possibly have right now, if he wants to leave then its his choice.

Punk is retired, WWE just haven't made it official yet because of their policies.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2057476-cm-punk-becomes-the-latest-victim-of-wrestling-fans-obsessiveness-in-retirement

I'm a big fan of Punk's but I wouldn't want him back just for fan service. Just like in sports, a lot of wrestlers keep working long after they should have quit.
