Hey its an old act but like... so is just about all of pro wrestling depending on how much you boil it down.

And anyone who thinks Rusev's gimmick isnt effective... just watch as Jack Swagger, a man who hasnt had a decent crowd reaction since 2010 had one of the best pops of the night on Raw. A Raw where 3 superstars returned and featured a John Cena / Roman Reigns team up in the main event.

Now Zeb's veteran mic work is certainly part of it.... but Zeb also hasnt gotten the crowd to give much of a crap about Swagger since his pre arrest Wrestlemania build. And even then the crowd response was underwhelming to put it politely.

The Japanese version of WWE.com is advertising the fact that a new signing will officially sign a contract in Osaka, Japan on the 12th of July and if you're wondering who it might be, WWE stupidly left his name in the image link so I guess it's official...

So are they actually going to push him, or is KENTA just going to get the Yoshi Tatsu treatment?

they['re extremely difficult to get over in the US, the one true recent example has to be Tajiri, and he got noticed by a group of cult-like fans in ECW, as opposed to the WWE, so he was already over in the US.

I think it's great how much more it seems they care about in-ring stuff these days, but I don't see any Japanese foreign worker getting huge in the WWE, just too different styles I think

Makes you wonder why they keep trying. I hope KENTA does better than I fear, it would be nice to see a Japanese wrestler actually make it in the States again.

Also hope they don't stick Devitt with Sheamus, or if they do, at least give it a cool name like Celtic Chaos.

I think the problem is that two years ago, WWE were looking up with WWE Network still only in the pipeline and they could maybe afford to let some things go but now, not only can they not afford people bringing their name into disrepute but it's also a very valid reason - rightly or wrongly - to release someone from their books, which is something they've tried to do in recent weeks. Obviously people make mistakes and from what I've heard that's all it sounds like but regrettably, Emma made her mistake while WWE are still looking for ways to cut their bills.

She went from a great technical wrestler with a quirkiness to them only focusing on her goofyness and pairing her with Santino who hasn't been relevant since he was paired with Beth Phoenix five years ago.

If there's not more to why she got fired, I'm sure she'll flourish on the independents.

It's cool to see Emma be reinstated but that's a potentially worse punishment than being released. WWE will not forgive her easily, I wouldn't be surprised if she just becomes a female jobber and loses every match she wrestles until her contract is up, at which point she is inevitably cut loose. It's a shame because she's shown in the past that she has plenty of talent.

With regards to what she did being an honest mistake, I don't believe that to be the case. I find it hard to believe that you could steal an iPad case by accident, especially in a self-serving checkout. They very loudly let you know if you've put something in your bag that you didn't scan. Maybe she put it in her handbag and forgot? I don't know, I just don't know you shoplift by accident...

In other WWE related news, yesterday was a historic day in the career of Zack Ryder. He now has absolutely zilch items of merchandise on WWE Shop. Good luck in your future endeavours Mr. Ryder.

I also doubt that any WWE employee would even think to steal something as minor as an iPad case. Say what you want about WWE, but they do pay even tge low level talents decent money, much better than theyd get elsewhee in NA.

I think that this all was just a misunderstanding.

First, she hasn't worked a match in a month anyway, so being jobbed out would probably be an improvement. Second, it doesn't take much effort to find hundreds of comments from people saying they've done or almost done the exact same thing on the various reports of this story. It really isn't that hard to "shoplift by accident." We don't really have the facts, but it's a bit too early to say if WWE really plans on doing anything punitive about it. Unless there's Visa issues involved, I can't see it being a big deal, really. It's been mentioned elsewhere but Cameron and Jack Swagger both have more serious charges in the past couple years, and nothing was really done in either case, except maybe keeping Swagger from getting a token world heavyweight title run when the belt was basically a glorified IC belt.
