In Belgium (yes, that capital of Sweden!) we only get to see a few things....from what I've seen the best parts in WWE for the past years are The New Day (entertaining and a tag effort) and (to be honest) Dean Ambrose. I think that's a guy you should book to the moon.... but we hardly get broadcasts here so....

They are also a good example of how to do comedy in WWE.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately Dean Ambrose's recent heel turn has been terrible. They turned him into a cheesy Gotham villian spouting nonsense with rubbish scripts that even Ambrose can't save with his mic skills. Of all the heel turns this year he should have been the easiest to nail (bascially crazy babyface Dean with a psychotic streak).</p>

<p>I've been playing catch up on NXT UK and there's so many less than desirable talents on the brand.</p><p> </p><p>

Eddie Dennis, El Ligero, Jordan Devlin, Flash Morgan Webster off the top of my head all have terrible looks and are nothing special in the ring. Sid Scala looks like a child.</p><p> </p><p>

Jordan Devlin in particular has a midget body with a giant head.</p>

Dennis is a good promo but awkward in the ring. Scala is mostly a backstage figure. El Ligero and Webster are solid perfomers and have name value in the UK.</p><p> </p><p> Devlin might look like Mini Balor but he's a good performer. He's been on a hot streak the past year on the indies including a highly praised match against WALTER.</p>

<p>Making the Mixed Match challenge a round-robin tournament this year is beyond pointless when 2 teams with terrible win-loss records end up in the Finals anyway. WTF?</p><p> </p><p>

And the stipulation of making the winners No.30 in the Rumble match is wasted too. There ought to be <em>at least 1</em> favourite in those teams that can actually be a credible potential winner in the Rumble for the stipulation to matter.</p>

NXT

- It would be cool if Era held all the titles in 2019 if only for a short time. EC3 should be in Royal Rumble then straight into the Raw midcard.

- I heard next week's women's tag match was disappointing because of the green Horsewomen so that might require some clever editing.

- Nice to see Reina in NXT

- Enjoyed the Gargano/Black promos

- Ricochet vs Breeze was a treat

NXT UK

Trent vs Joe Coffey, Xia vs Jinny and Mastiff vs Dennis were my favorite

matches this week.

Evolve 117

- Kassius Ohno beat Darby Allin in a great match

- Street Profits retained the Evolve Tag Team Championships against WorkHorsemen (Henry & Drake) via No Contest when the debuting Eddie Kingston rushed out and beat the crap out of everyone

- Austin Theory won the Evolve World Championship in a triple threat against former Champion Fabian Aichner and Roderick Strong with help from Priscilla Kelly

- Johnny Gargano is back in Evolve for the January 18 and 19 shows

<p>I skimmed through most of the matches because there were too many but Nia vs Ronda and Styles vs Bryan were great. Asuka vs Charlotte vs Becky was awesome.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In case anyone missed it, Bryan delivered a contender for promo of the year before TLC: <a href="https://streamable.com/4xmht" rel="external nofollow">https://streamable.com/4xmht</a></p>
