Not a regular of predictions, but I'll show my support with some for this PPV.

Ted Brady vs. Nicky Champion

In now Brady has the popularity to win and not completly destroy Champion

The Problem Solvers vs. The People's Team

USPW Women's Title Match: Raven Robinson defends vs. Belle Bryden

This match has faded a bit in the last few shows, so I don't see a title switch.

The Ring Generals vs. Performance Class

I call shenahigan on Performance Class to explain their loss

USPW World Television Title Match: Andre Jones defends vs. Darryl Devine vs. James Hernandez

I think exploiting the feud between Devine and Hernandez will be the key for Jones to retain.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Savage Fury

Not enough people backs this very useful team. Maybe a title switch could add a new twist to the division. I don't see Savage Fury keeping the belts for a long reign though.

The Titans vs. Chris Caulfield and The Force

The Horsemen are on a roll, it's too soon to see them fail.

Title vs. Mask, Steel Cage Match, If Enygma Loses, He Must Unmask. If Enygma Wins, He Wins The USPW World Title: Bruce The Giant defends vs. Enygma

As much as I'd like to see someone craft a character for an unmasked Engyma, I'll go with the wise pick and choose him to win.

USPW FREEDOM FIGHT!

Saturday Week 4 April 2010

Location: Evanovich Riverside (Tri State)

Attendance: 9,733

Overall Rating: C+

PPV Buyrate: .89

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

This show can be considered a success, it should have increased our popularity.

Pre Show: In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Jack Griffith won a battle royal in 10:07. The final four competitors also included Jumbo Jackson, Anger and Captain USA, with Jumbo Jackson being the final elimination...C-

[The show opens with two silhouettes within the background moving slowly toward one another. As they come into the foreground, the two figures are revealed...]

[...Tonight, everything will be on the line as Bruce The Giant battles Enygma inside of a steel cage! The winner will not only get possession of the USPW World Title but he will also get Enygma's mask! Who will walk away with the two prized possessions? Find out later tonight!]

[The front entrance of Evanovich Riverside is shown with the marquee reading: professional wrestling, USPW Freedom Fight! A long black limousine pulls into the foreground and the driver gets out. He walks to the back and opens the door to reveal...]

[...The Four Horsemen! James Justice, The Titans and Bryan Holmes get out of the limousine and high five each other, throwing up four fingers to show their allegiance. They ignore the camera and head inside the building. It's time for us to head inside as well for the opening encounter!]

Match #1

Ted Brady vs. Nicky Champion

[The opening match got its best pop when Sam Strong came out with Nicky Champion. Sam acknowledged the crowd and stood in Nicky's corner just like he said he would do. Ted Brady came out to some boos. Once the bell sounded, the crowd did a lot of sitting on their hands. To no one's surprise, Nicky dominated most of this match and that may be why the crowd sat on their hands. Ted Brady gave Nicky everything he could handle but in the end it was a Hawkeye Hammer and then a pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3.]

Winner: Nicky Champion (Via Pinfall @ 7:53)

Match Rating: D

[...Nicky got to his feet and celebrated by climbing the turnbuckles. He raised his arms to cheers from the crowd. But the crowd was shocked when someone came down and struck Sam Strong from behind...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/PeterValentine.jpg

[...Peter Valentine hit Sam with the belt and then climbed in the ring and decked Nicky with the National title! Valentine raised the title in the air to boos from the crowd. He put a few boots to Nicky before exiting the ring.]

[The big video screen lights up to show the backstage area and in particular the interview area where there is a blonde standing with her back to the camera. She turns around to reveal...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg

[...Belle Bryden and the crowd boos her presence...]

Belle Bryden

"Tonight, I fulfill my destiny. Tonight is when I finally walk away from this company within my rightful role as Women's Champion. Raven, you may have survived our battles this year before but tonight you are going to feel my Blonde Ambition and end up staring up at the lights."

[...Belle runs her fingers through her hair and then it's back to the ring.]

The Problem Solvers vs. The People's Team

[Queen Emily brought Giant Redwood and The Big Problem down to the ring listening to the rain of boos from the crowd. The People's Team came in through the crowd with the crowd cheering them on. Once again, though, the crowd got pretty quiet throughout the match. Redwood and Problem used their weight and size during this match to attack both Datsun and Davids. Datsun was the face-in-peril here, being tossed out of the ring and hit by Queen Emily. Back inside the ring, Redwood hit Datsun with the Standing Splash: 1 -- 2 -- Broken up by Des Davids! Datsun eventually managed to fight his way back and tag in his partner. Des took on both Giant Redwood and The Big Problem! He managed to floor The Big Problem with the Quarterback Sack! Datsun clotheslined Redwood over the top rope. Davids made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: The People's Team (Via Pinfall @ 5:45)

Match Rating: D

[The crowd was cheering for the win from The People's Team. The big video screen lit up showing four figures within a locker room...]

[...The Four Horsemen are sitting in a group huddle...]

James Justice

"Gentlemen, tonight is going to be the night of the Four Horsemen. I don't care that I don't have a match or Bryan doesn't have a match. We both deserve to be USPW World Champion but then all of the Horsemen deserve that. Tyson, T-Rex: tonight you take care of business against Caulfield and The Force. I want them both put out of action just like you put me out of action earlier this year. Do you understand me?"

[...Both Tyson and T-Rex nod, rising and beginning to beat their heads against the lockers to get psyched up...]

James Justice

"Save some of that energy, men. Bryan you know what to do."

[...Bryan nods and throws up the four fingers before moving to exit the locker room and we head back to the ring...]

Match #3

USPW Women's Title Match

Raven Robinson defends vs. Belle Bryden

[it's our first title match of the evening as Raven Robinson defends against Belle Bryden. The downside to this match is that this is the fourth time this match has happened so the fans were sick of Belle getting the Women's title shots. The two women did put up a good match for the fans to see but nobody seemed to care all that much. There was a bit of a pop for the ending with a flurry of offense by Raven cut off by a Dish of the Day kick by Belle. Belle made the cover, putting her feet on the ropes: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Belle Bryden (Via Pinfall @ 9:23; Belle Bryden wins the USPW Women's Title.)

Match Rating: E+

[...And we have a brand new USPW Women's Champion! But Belle isn't done! Belle turns her focus to the knees of Raven Robinson, setting her up for her Figure 4. But before she can lock it on, someone comes running from the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

[...Alicia Strong hits the ring and drops Belle with a clothesline! Belle rolls outside the ring and grabs her Women's title belt! Alicia checks on Raven and stares down Belle from inside the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The big video screen lights up as Alicia helps Raven to the back. Upon the big video screen stands one of the competitors in our main event tonight...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...Enygma looks at the camera through the holes within his mask...]

Enygma

"Tonight is the night that I put it all on the line. Bruce, this mask means everything to me. I fully intend on retiring from this company, from professional wrestling with the mask still intact. That is why tonight when we step inside the steel cage I have to beat you. There is just no other way around it. Tonight, USPW, there will be a brand new USPW World Champion and his name is Enygma."

[...Enygma tried to look confident but definitely seemed a little worried as he walked off...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[...Another figure took the place of Enygma. This man is carrying gold already...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

[...Andre Jones steps into the interview area with the USPW World Television title over his shoulder...]

Andre Jones

"Tonight, I take on two men who are fighting over one thing: Seduction. I know all about Seduction though. I was seduced by a lady myself. Now that I have her she means everything to me. When I wake up in the morning, I kiss her. When I go to bed at night, she is the one I have my arms around. Would you all like to get a close look at her? Here she is."

[...He steps off-screen and then comes back, flashing the gold belt in front of the screen. He gives the belt a kiss...]

Andre Jones

"Don't you worry about a thing, baby. You're gonna be staying around your man's waist tonight. I'm gonna protect you with everything that I have and tonight when we go to bed I want you right there beside me."

[...Andre smiles and we head back to the ring...]

The Ring Generals vs. Performance Class

[The crowd was expecting a decent technical encounter here and these four men did not disappoint. The match started with both teams going hold for hold. Two men would wrestle to a standstill and then tag out to their partners and they would wrestle until both men got up to a vertical base. Oxford managed to hook Statler in a crossface within the middle of the ring but it was finally broken up by Waldorf. Oxford and Flash used several quick tags until Oxford got caught with a rake of the eyes by Statler. This gave the Ring Generals the advantage and they kept Oxford in their corner, using several double team holds to keep Oxford down. Waldorf hit Oxford with a Superplex out of the corner and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- broken up by Flash!...]

[...Katie Cameron looked concerned at ringside as the Ring Generals continued their assault on Robert Oxford, who looked helpless to stop them. They whipped Oxford into the ropes and both put their heads down simultaneously but the wily veteran in Oxford paused, grabbing their heads and DDTing both of them to the mat. This got the crowd into it as Oxford crawled toward his corner. The crowd cheered when Steve Flash was tagged in! Flash leaped over the top rope with a dropkick to the chest of Waldorf and then a side kick for Statler! Oxford came in and took out Waldorf, while Flash grabbed Statler. Flash with a big body slam and then he picked up Statler -- Flash Bang! He nailed him with his finisher and made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Performance Class (Via Pinfall @ 10:02)

Match Rating: C-

[As Performance Class celebrated, the big video screen lit up to show two more figures back within the interview area...]

[...The crowd cheered for the Hardcore American and The Force!...]

Chris Caulfield

"Tonight is going to be the beginning of my revenge against the Four Horsemen. Tonight, The Force and I will be stepping inside that ring and showing the strength and courage of our convictions as we face off with two men who, let's be honest, are no strangers to hardcore. But I am the Hardcore American and that will make all the difference. Tell 'em Force."

The Force

"Chris, tonight the gods have deemed you worthy to team up with the most powerful force within the universe. Tonight, you are not just a hardcore american. Tonight, I bring you with me to the deepest, darkest valley within parts unknown as we take on the men known as Tyson Baine and T-Rex. We shall grab this dinosaur by the tail and swing him around over our heads until he understands the true nature and power of the FFFOOORRRCCCEEE! We shall do battle in the ring, in the stands and even by the concession stands where you can buy my merchandise! Tonight, The Titans shall fall to the mighty power of the FFFOOORRRCCCEEE!"

[...Chris pats The Force on the back and shoulder and we're told we have to go somewhere else backstage...]

[...Darryl Devine and James Hernandez! Devine rammed Hernandez's head into the guardrail and then dragged his face across it! The two men foguht all the way down to the ring and then inside when a referee came down to the ring as well as the USPW World Television Champion Andre Jones!]

USPW World Television Title Match

Andre Jones defends vs. Darryl Devine vs. James Hernandez

[...Andre stood back outside the ring as Devine and Hernandez continued their fight. Seduction came down to ringside and stood in Devine's corner. Devine irish whipped Hernandez into a corner and then came flying in with a major clothesline! Hernandez staggered out of the corner into a big body slam from Darryl Devine! Devine rose up to boos from the crowd and he headed outside the ring and to the top turnbuckle. He stared down at Hernandez and leaped -- missed! Hernandez rolled out of the way of the elbow drop! Hernandez nipped up to his feet and stomped a mudhole in the chest of Devine. He picked him up and body slammed him near the corner! Hernandez climbed the turnbuckles -- Apparition #14! The Shooting Star Press connected! Hernandez made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- broken up by Andre Jones! Where did he come from?!?!...]

[...Andre picked up Hernandez and sent him into a corner. He hit a couple of hard european uppercuts and then hooked Hernandez -- fisherman's buster! What a move by the TV Champ! Jones bounced off the ropes -- low dropkick to the skull of Hernandez! He made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- broken up by Devine at the last possible moment! Devine pulled Jones up and shoved him! The two began yelling at each other and Jones threw a punch! Devine threw one back! The fight was on between these two bad guys! Jones began getting the advantage, kicking Devine in the gut. He set Devine up for the Blast From The Past but Hernandez grabbed him from behind -- Pontiac To Home! That's a Sleeperhold Neckbreaker! Hernandez gets to his feet and moves back over to Devine. He picks up his rival and whips him into the corner. He follows in with a clothesline and then the ten count punches as the crowd counts along! Seduction climbs up on the apron and Hernandez sees her. He drops down and walks over to her, beginning to talk with her for a moment. Hernandez turns back around and ducks a clothesline from Devine but Devine hit Seduction! Seduction fell off the apron and Hernandez kicked Devine in the gut -- Super Kick! Hernandez goes for the cover: 1 -- 2 -- he pulls up??? Hernandez slides out of the ring, apparently seeing Seduction lying on the ground for the first time. He reaches down and lifts Seduction in his arms, carrying her to the back. Andre Jones sees the opportunity and he makes a quick cover on Devine, grabbing the tights: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

I am the number one wrestler in the entire world and tonight I am going to prove that inside a steel cage by either pinning your shoulders to the mat, making you submit or escaping the cage. Personally, I want to pin you so I can take that mask off of you myself. Tonight, you will feel the Giant Choke Slam and I will be one step closer to greatness."

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Towers of Power defend vs. Savage Fury

[Our USPW World Tag Team Titles match was next here and the fans moved quickly after the match started to head toward the bathroom and the concession stands. There was some good action within the ring as both teams are very experienced but the fact that this is the fourth time that these two teams have met this year really hurt the match. As one would expect, there was ample interference from Shane Sneer at ringside as he worked to help his wrestlers retain. An interesting spot in the match came when Mick Muscles hit both members of Savage Fury with a DDT and Savage Fury just popped right up, hitting their heads and showing that samoan savage strength. The end came when Shane Sneer tried to trip Tribal Warrior but Warrior didn't go down. Instead, he turned his attention to Sneer, giving Rushmore ample time to get up and nail him with the Atomic Boot. Rushmore made the quick cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! The Towers of Power retain their belts!]

Winners: The Towers of Power (Via Pinfall @ 6:50; The Towers of Power retain the USPW World Tag Team Titles.)

The Titans vs. Chris Caulfield and The Force

[The beginning of this semi-main event match was as hard-hitting as everyone figured it would be. It started with a brawl inside the ring with all four men getting involved. Eventually The Force and T-Rex ended up outside the ring and Caulfield and Baine were left inside. Caulfield took the advantage, bringing Baine down with a body slam and an elbow drop. Caulfield pulled Baine to his feet and whipped him into the corner. He followed him in and tagged in The Force! The two threw punches in the corner to Baine and then The Force pulled him out. The Force locked in a bear hug on Tyson Baine! Baine's eyes widened in surprise as he fought against The Force. T-Rex entered the ring and slammed his fists against the back of The Force to break the hold as the cameras picked up on a sign: 'The Titans will crush The Hardcore Force!'...]

[...The Titans group of The Four Horsemen began on the offensive. Baine managed a quick to T-Rex and they dropped The Force with a double hip toss and then a double elbow drop coming from the more experienced team. T-Rex began his focus on the back of The Force, dropping him with a sharp backbreaker. He bounced off the ropes -- standing splash! He made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- kickout! Somehow The Force kicked out! T-Rex got back up and used some quick tags in and out with Tyson Baine to keep The Force off his mark. Caulfield got frustrated in the corner and tried to save The Force several times but that just led to more double-teaming by The Titans. Tyson Baine grabbed The Force around the throat and raised him up -- Caulfield speared Baine from behind! All three men hit the mat and the referee grabbed Caulfield to pull him out of the ring. The Force slowly moved to his feet, as well as Baine. The Force ducked a clothesline from Baine and took him down with a clothesline before crawling over and making the tag...]

[...Chris Caulfield came back in the ring and knocked T-Rex off the apron! He turned to Baine and irish whipped him into the corner. Baine bounced out and The Hardcore American back body dropped him! Caulfield played to the crowd and then ducked a punch thrown by T-Rex! The Force came in and hit a clothesline on T-Rex! Caulfield turned his attention back to Baine -- big boot by Tyson Baine! The crowd booed as Baine grabbed Caulfield by the throat! He raised him -- Hades Bo -- No! Caulfield dropped down behind Baine! He hooks Baine -- Danger Drop! Caulfield makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Chris Caulfield and The Force (Via Pinfall @ 9:45)

Match Rating: C

Match #8

Title vs. Mask

Steel Cage Match

If Enygma Loses, He Must Unmask.

If Enygma Wins, He Wins The USPW World Title

Bruce The Giant defends vs. Enygma

[The crowd is definitely ready for this major matchup with everything on the line. As usual, it is the challenger who makes the first entrance so up within the stands is the man in the green mask: Enygma. He is standing beside two signs, one that reads: 'Enygma: World Champion Giant Killer' and the other reading: 'Enygma will never be unmasked!' He points to the sign and then comes right down to the ring, stepping inside the steel cage. He runs his fingers along the cage for a moment as the rumbling you hear is the beginning of Bruce The Giant's music. Bruce steps out, raising the USPW World Title! He lumbers out to the ring and steps up the stairs and then over the top rope. He gives referee Jez McArthuer the USPW World Title belt and then walks right over to Enygma, looking down at him. Enygma doesn't move or back down though. The referee steps between them, though, and shows each of them the belt before bringing it away and out of the ring. He signals for the bell as the cage door is locked and this match is on...]

[...The two wrestlers met in the center of the ring staring at each other with Bruce looking down and Enygma looking up. Bruce raises his hand up in an 'ask for a test of strength' type move but of course Enygma cannot reach that high. Bruce laughs down at him and Enygma moves over to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top and then raises his hand. Bruce walks over and raises his hand up, locking fingers with Enygma and then squeezing. Enygma kicks Bruce in the chest and then once in the head! He leaps off the turnbuckle and hooks Bruce around the head with his legs. He gives a yank and release, sending face-first into the cage! The crowd cheers as Enygma gets to his feet and throws forearm smashes to the chest of Bruce The Giant! He whips Bruce across the ring -- dropkick to the knee! Bruce staggers but maintains his footing. Enygma climbs to the second turnbuckle and leaps -- shoulder into the back of the knee! Bruce drops to his knees! Enygma swings a kick to the head of Bruce, bringing him down! Enygma makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- kickout!...]

[...Enygma reaches his feet and drops an elbow on Bruce's chest. He gets the crowd going as he fights for his mask. He pulls Bruce up and moves him into a corner. He throws a chop to the chest of Bruce and then whips him across the ring -- reversed! Enygma hits the corner hard and bounces out -- sidewalk slam by Bruce The Giant! Bruce brings Enygma down hard onto the mat and then turns him over, hooking him -- camel clutch! The crowd boos as Bruce pulls back on the camel clutch and Enygma cries out in pain! Bruce pulls back but Enygma will not give up. He struggles and fights but he cannot break the hold. Bruce finally lets go after about two minutes of the hold. Bruce gets to his feet and picks up Enygma, lifting him on his shoulder. He throws Enygma against the steel cage like a lawn dart! Enygma staggers when he lands and Bruce kicks him in the gut -- power bomb! Bruce looks toward the cage and walks toward it. He tries to climb the cage at first but he cannot keep his balance. He shakes his head and looks toward the door. But Enygma grabs him by the leg and headbutts him against the back of the knee! Bruce staggers slightly but then reaches down and yanks Enygma by the mask -- Giant Headbutt! Bruce makes a cover: 1 -- 2 -- shoulder up!...]

[...Bruce continues on the attack for the next few minutes, beating down the back of Enygma. He drops Enygma with a gutwrench suplex. Bruce hooks in a clawhold on the head of Enygma with his giant hand! He brings Enygma down to his back, shoulders on the mat: 1 -- 2 -- shoulder up! The crowd tries to energize Enygma by clapping and stomping their feet. Enygma takes the cue from the crowd and begins to fight back. He pushes his way to his feet, much to the surprise within the eyes of Bruce The Giant. A couple of kicks to the knee and then one to the arm breaks the clawhold! Enygma ducks a clothesline and then throws a kick to the chest of Bruce! He hits a bicycle kick, knocking Bruce back against the ropes. Enygma grabs Bruce by the head and rams his head into the steel cage! He does it on all four sides, really getting the crowd to go crazy! Bruce is staggering about! Enygma climbs the turnbuckles and leaps with a cannonball shoulder to the knee of the USPW World Champion! Bruce falls to the mat and Enygma gets right on him, grabbing the leg -- Enygma Variation! The crowd is shocked and on their feet as Enygma cinches in the hold. Bruce tries to break free but Enygma has the hold cinched in tight! Bruce raises his hand -- reaches for the ropes. Enygma squeezes tighter! Bruce -- taps! Bruce The Giant submits!]

Winner: Enygma (Via Submission @ 11:16; Enygma wins the USPW World Title and keeps his mask.)

Match Rating: C+

[...The crowd begin an 'Enygma' chant as Enygma slowly releases the hold and the door is opened to the steel cage. The USPW World Title is brought into the ring and handed to the new USPW World Champion! What an ending to the match! Enygma raises the belt as he stands and leans against the turnbuckle. He watches as Bruce The Giant pushes toward his feet, using the ropes to stand. Bruce extends a hand toward Enygma for a handshake. WOW! But as this goes on, no one notices the four figures coming down to the ring. The four men step inside and lock the cage door back...]

[...The Four Horsemen begin an assault on Enygma from behind! Bryan Holmes drops him with the Cyclone Shock Kick! Holmes picks him up and hits the Final Impact except this time with no bridge. Justice, Baine and T-Rex watch for the moment until Justice is dropped by a clothesline! Baine and T-Rex turn and see Bruce The Giant standing over James Justice! Baine and T-Rex stare down Bruce for a moment and then motion to Holmes, who was stomping on Enygma. They help James move back from Bruce, who moves to stand over Enygma as the crowd cheers him on. Bruce is challenging the Four Horsemen to step forward! But the Four Horsemen decide discretion is the better part of valor and step back as the show comes to a close!]

I <em>was</em> going to wait until the next set of predictions appear but couldn't...wow! Just, wow! Awesome PPV angel, and great swerve at the end. TUESDAY...

Week 1 May 2010...

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TheMaskedAvatar.jpg

[...USPW Freedom Fight marked a definite change within the roster of United States Pro Wrestling. For the first time in a very long time, Bruce The Giant is once again a babyface. With the time on his career definitely winding down, perhaps he will end up going out beloved by the crowds. A lot of that will depend on how long he decides to wrestle but at the moment he is looking forward to being able to play to the crowd and get their attention in a positive way instead of a negative one.

Peter Valentine got his wish in being able to be seen on the pay-per-view. His attack on Nicky Champion brought a whole new match to next month's pay-per-view. These two have only faced once since I have been here and that was in a tag team encounter where Peter teamed with Andre Jones to beat Nicky and The Force back in the last week of January.

I sat down and watched my copy of TCW's Where Angels Fear To Tread tonight and I have to admit that they had two matches that even wowed me: The Freedom Fighters (Ricky Dale Johnson and Joey Minnesota) defeated The Syndicate (Tommy Cornell and Wolf Hawkins) in the main event. In the semi main event: Bryan Vessey, Rocky Golden and Koshiro Ino defeated Troy Tornado, Sam Keith and Eddie Peak. These two matches are being hailed as some of the top non singles matches of the year and for good reason. They were definitely exciting to watch.

As I was sitting within my office in Sam Strong's home, I heard a knock at the door...]

The Masked Avatar

"Come in!"

[...I was a little surprised to see the figure standing within the door...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/QueenEmily.jpg

[...Queen Emily stepped into the office, closing the door behind herself. I motioned to a seat across from me where she sat down gracefully...]

Queen Emily

"I wanted to come here and let you know that I have been contacted by Tommy and Joel."

[...I frowned. I knew what was coming next. I'd heard it before...]

Queen Emily

"I wanted to thank you for my time here in USPW and for allowing me to return to the sport that I love. However, I believe I am going to take the offer from Tommy."

[...I nodded...]

The Masked Avatar

"I am sorry to lose you, Emily. But you have to do what you feel is best."

[...I rose to my feet and offered a handshake to her, which she took...]

The Masked Avatar

"If you decide that it's not the place you want to go, then you always have a home here."

[...She nodded and turned to leave and I sat back down, sighing over some papers. This is not going to be good for Redwood or Problem...]

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 1 May 2010

Location: Huntsville Fairgrounds (South East)

Attendance: 3,921

Overall Rating: C+

TV Rating: 1.65

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

This show can be considered a success, it should have increased our popularity.

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Peter Valentine defeated Ekuma The Hawaiian Strong Man in 3:42 by pinfall with a Heart Breaker...D-

Pre Show: In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jumbo Jackson defeated James Hernandez in 5:42 by pinfall with a Jumbo Avalanche...D

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Nicky Champion defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 4:12 by pinfall with a Hawkeye Hammer...C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The show kicks off on the big video screen...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_FreedomFight.jpg

[...With a recap from Freedom Fight! Some still pictures are shown from the show, including Peter Valentine's attack on Nicky Champion, Chris Caulfield getting the pinfall and then Enygma winning the USPW World Title! Then the attack by the Four Horsemen is shown and the subsequent save by Bruce The Giant.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[inside the Huntsville Fairgrounds, the fans are on their feet and mugging for the camera. A loud cheer moves through the crowd as some familiar music begins to play...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpg

[...Danny Jillefski and Micky Starr welcome everyone to USPW American Wrestling as USPW Owner Sam Strong walks down toward the ring. What could he have to say to kick off this show? We're about to find out...]

Sam Strong

"Good evening everyone and welcome to USPW American Wrestling! There are a couple of things I want to bring up tonight so I am going to get started. First of all, I've got quite a bump on the back of my head from that belt shot by Peter Valentine."

[...The crowd is seen booing the National Champion. A sign is shown within the background: 'What? No Andre Jones?!'...]

Sam Strong

"But that's alright because it really helped to clear my mind. I made the decision that Peter needs to put that belt of his on the line and he will do so this month at Declaration Of Independence when he takes on Nicky Champion one on one!"

[...Big crowd pop for that!...]

Sam Strong

"But I'm not done making matches for Declaration Of Independence. It seems we have a group of men running around here thinking that they're the ones who should be on top. Well, Four Horsemen, you're about to get a wakeup call. And that wakeup call is going to happen live on pay-per-view. We are going to have an eight man tag team match at Declaration Of Independence. The leader of one team will be James Justice. James, you will get to select your three partners in this encounter. You will be facing a team captained by The Hardcore American Chris Caulfield! Chris, you will get to do the same as James in selecting your own partners. May the best team win."

[...Sam's music starts up again and he exits the ring, shaking hands with the fans. What two major announcements for the pay-per-view!...]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

Bryan Holmes vs. Des Davids

[What a way to kick off the show here in Huntsville than with two great athletes like Bryan and Des. These two showed some great chemistry within the ring and exchanged some good wrestling to start off. Des ended up frustrating Bryan to the point that Holmes left the ring under his own power and began pacing around it like a caged animal. Holes re-entered the ring and went to the eyes of Des Davids before hitting him with several forearm smashes. Holmes sent Davids to the ropes and caught him in a big powerslam, rising up and flashing four fingers to boos from the crowd...]

[...Holmes continued his attack and focus on the back and shoulders of Davids, even applying a nerve hold to the shoulders. The skillful Holmes sent Davids shoulder-first into the turnbuckle and then locked on an armbar. Davids managed to fight his way back to his feet and bring Holmes over with a hip toss! The crowd cheered for Davids, who dropped Holmes with a perfect dropkick! Davids went for the cover: 1 -- 2 -- kickout! Davids pulled Holmes to his feet and bodyslammed him in the center of the ring. He backed off and crouched in the corner, begging Holmes to get up. Davids got the crowd involved with claps and cheers as Holmes staggered to his feet. Davids charged -- Quarterback Sa -- NO! Holmes avoided the Quarterback Sack, sending Davids through the turnbuckles, hitting his shoulder on the steel ringpost in the process! Holmes grabbed Davids in a full nelson -- Final Impact! Holmes holds the bridge: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bryan Holmes (Via Pinfall @ 8:29)

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd was not happy about the win for Bryan Holmes but Des Davids had given him everything he had. After the ring was cleared, some more familiar music played and a figure stepped out from the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...The brand new USPW World Champion Enygma took in the cheers from the crowd as he walked down to the ring. He stepped inside and leaned back in a corner, just taking in the 'Enygma' chant! Enygma lifted the microphone to his mouth...]

Enygma

"Thank you very much."

[...The crowd exploded in even more cheers...]

Enygma

"I would like to start things off tonight by saying thank you to each and every one of my fans. Without each and every one of you, it would not be possible for me to be standing here today with the USPW World Title AND my mask right where they should be. Bruce, you gave me everything I could take and then some. I want you to know that as a fighter, I respect you. That being said, tonight I have to turn my focus to someone else. I am turning my focus to the man known as the Jurassic Power T-Rex."

[...Boos rain in from the crowd...]

Enygma

"T-Rex, you and the Horsemen attacked me last Saturday night without cause or provocation. So, tonight, I get my chance to avenge that attack one Horseman at a time. It begins with you, T-Rex and it will end with your leader James Justice. Tonight, I'm going to break your ankle."

[...Enygma had a very serious look within his eyes when he said that and his music kicked back in. The crowd cheered and chanted his name once again as he exited through the crowd instead of up the aisle...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TheBigProblem.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/QueenEmily.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Java.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TribalWarrior.jpg

The Problem Solvers vs. Savage Fury

[A really short match that the crowd didn't seem to care for. Both teams are looking to get back on the winning track after losing at USPW Freedom Fight. Much to many people's surprise, Giant Redwood dominated this match for the most part. Queen Emily was smiling and happy at ringside as Redwood took down Tribal Warrior with a Power Bomb and then hit his Standing Splash. The Big Problem kept Java out of the ring as the referee made the count: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: The Problem Solvers (Via Pinfall @ 3:54)

Match Rating: D-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As The Problem Solvers celebrate their victory in the ring, the big video screen lights up as we're told that there's something happening in the back. A figure is shown lying bloodied on the ground within the locker room area. A swarm of paramedics are standing over him as a stretcher is being brought in. Slowly the crowd parts slightly to give a look at who it is...]

[...Sam Strong, the USPW Owner, is the man lying there! Alicia shows up on the scene trying to figure out what happened. The paramedics say that Sam is unresponsive and that they need to get him to the hospital. They are very careful with him, putting a neck brace on his neck and finally loading him on the stretcher with Alicia following along.]

Anger vs. Rafael Ruiz

[The talk during this match is mostly about Sam Strong and that incident, taking away some from this match. Anger is a dominant force against The Mexican Pit Bull, listening to the Coca Cola bottle that Shane Sneer holds in the air. The advice from the bottle is an obvious help to Anger and he ends up flooring Ruiz with the Demon Slam and making the pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Anger (Via Pinfall @ 3:03)

Match Rating: D-

[...Anger rises to his feet following the match. Shane Sneer slides in the ring and hands over the bottle to him. Anger smiles a twisted smile as he puts the bottle to his ear and then hits Ruiz over the head with it. Luckily the bottle is plastic and doesn't break. The crowd cheers when a figure comes out to put a stop to this...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DemonSpite.jpg

[...Demon Spite hits the ring and begins pleading with Anger. Shane pushes Spite and Spite looks toward Sneer, who gets wide-eyed and moves behind Anger! Spite takes a step forward and Anger hits him in the head with the plastic bottle. Spite is stunned slightly, giving time for Sneer to pull Anger from the ring and the two of them exit as Spite shakes his head.]

[...Leader of the Four Horsemen: James Justice. The crowd boos at seeing him and Justice just smiles...]

James Justice

"You can boo me all you want, dudes! However, that is not going to stop me from speaking my mind. First of all, it's a shame about what happened to Sam Strong earlier. I hope he recovers soon enough to watch my team destroy Chris's team at Declaration Of Independence. Speaking of that match, my question is: what do I get from all of this? What do the Horsemen get? Sam, you want my attention? How about a title shot for every member of the Four Horsemen when we win? How does that sound? Enygma vs. the Four Horsemen in an elimination match where the winner walks away with the USPW World title sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Now, onto later tonight where I will go one on one with Steve Flash. Steve, they say you're a pretty good wrestler but you're stepping into the ring with the best. There's a reason why I've been in the big leagues and you have been nothing but the bush league. Tonight, you're gonna walk that aisle and find out why that is."

[...James smirks and turns, walking off...]

Match #4

Fumihiro Ota vs. Chris Caulfield

[The crowd was really hyped for this match considering how well Ota has been doing against the main eventers he has faced. This match was definitely no exception. The match was a brawl to start things off with neither man really taking control. Caulfield clotheslined Ota over the top rope with both men spilling out to the floor. Both men were slow to get to their feet. Caulfield grabbed Ota by the mask and ran toward the ring post but Ota got a foot up to block! Ota grabbed Caulfield and rammed HIM against the ring post! The crowd booed Ota as he tossed Caulfield back into the ring and joined him, continuing his assault on the Hardcore American...]

[...Ota hit kick after kick on Caulfield inside the ring, wearing him down. Ota went to the top turnbuckle and came off with a flying elbow that connected right to the heart of Caulfield! Ota made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Ota slid out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair, sliding it back in the ring and then sliding in himself. Referee Jez McArthuer warned Ota not to use the chair but Ota ignored him, setting the chair up by the ropes. Ota bounced off the far ropes and then over Caulfield, using the chair to springboard to the top rope -- triple jump moonsault! He connected with an amazing move on Caulfield! He covered the Hardcore American: 1 -- 2 -- SHOULDER UP! The crowd went wild as Caulfield got his shoulder up! Ota was definitely frustrated, grabbing the chair and folding it up. He turned back to Caulfield but the referee grabbed the chair! Ota was distracted, arguing with the referee and didn't see Caulfield getting to his feet. Caulfield snuck behind Ota and grabbed him by the head -- Danger Drop! Caulfield hit his finisher out of nowhere! The Hardcore American made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Chris Caulfield (Via Pinfall @ 7:57)

Match Rating: B-

[...Talk about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat! Caulfield is lucky to walk out with the win. But his luck runs out as the ring is stormed by four very angry looking wrestlers...]

[...The Four Horsemen hit the ring! Caulfield throws punches, trying to fight them off but the numbers game eventually becomes too much for him. Tyson and T-Rex hold him down while Justice slaps him! Eventually these two men will meet one on one without the Horsemen there, right? Justice throws a punch and then grabs Caulfield -- Liberation Slam! The crowd boos heavily and then cheers as two people come running down to the ring...]

[...Steve Flash hits the ring with Katie Cameron sticking at ringside! Flash makes a motion toward Justice, calling him out! Justice looks to his Horsemen, smiles and motions for them to leave. Looks like we're gonna have our match right here and now!]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/KatieCameron.jpg

James Justice vs. Steve Flash

[Referee Baby Jamie came down to officiate this match as the ring was cleared. The two men met in the center of the ring and Justice slapped Flash across the face! Flash shoved Justice and then ducked a punch! Flash kicked Justice in the gut -- facebuster! Flash made a quick cover: 1 -- 2 -- kickout! Justice quickly moved to a corner after kicking out and Flash made a motion with his fingers, showing that Justice was just a few inches from losing the match. The two men met in the center of the ring again and Flash took Justice to the mat, locking on a solid armbar and then a cross armbreaker. Justice would not give up and eventually pushed his way to the ropes to get the hold broken. Both men got to their feet and Flash threw some forearms to the chest of Justice, sending him off to the ropes -- dropkick -- missed! Justice held onto the ropes and Flash hit the back of his head on the mat. Justice moves in quickly and rolls Flash up with a bridge: 1 -- 2 -- kickout!...]

[...Justice got to his feet and pulled Flash up sending him into a corner. Justice followed in with a corner clothesline! He locked in an abdominal stretch near the ropes and the referee checked for a submission. Flash would not give up and then cried in pain as Justice used the ropes for leverage. Justice released the ropes before the referee looked over and of course he denied any wrongdoing and told Baby Jamie to check Flash again. This happened one more time before Justice got caught. Justice had to break the hold but argued with the referee. Katie Cameron urged Flash to fight back from ringside and got the crowd involved with claps and cheers. Justice turned his focus back to his opponent and took a knee to the gut! Flash hit Justice's head on the top turnbuckle and then climbed up slowly, throwing, you guessed it, ten punches! Flash dropped back down after the tenth and hooked Justice -- brainbuster! The crowd got behind Flash, who had a hard time getting to his feet. Flash pushed himself further and got to the turnbuckle. He began to climb as Justice got to his feet. Flash leaped -- Justice moved behind the referee and Baby Jamie took the shot from Flash! Flash's eyes went wide as he looked at what he had done! Justice kicked him between the legs and then exited the ring. He grabbed the chair Ota had used and slid back in. He loaded it up by slamming it down on the mat. Flash was slow to get to his feet -- WHAM! Justice floored him with the chair shot! Justice tossed the chair out of the ring and revived the referee in time to make a cover: 1 -- 2 -- Steve Flash's foot is on the bottom rope -- 3! James Justice steals this one!]

Winner: James Justice (Via Pinfall @ 9:14)

Match Rating: C

[As the crowd boos that decision and Katie Cameron argues with the referee, we go to an obviously pre-recorded interview on the big video screen. This one definitely has a female figure...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

[...Alicia Strong is standing there...]

Alicia Strong

"Belle, last Saturday night you proved that you're not a worthy person to hold the USPW Women's Title. By attacking Raven Robinson after the bell sounded, you just proved what kind of coward you really are. Well, this is my father's company and I will NOT have it represented by someone like you. That is why I am here tonight to challenge you to a match at Declaration Of Independence for that USPW Women's Title. You're gonna learn that this company is run with a Strong Arm."

[...Alicia holds up her arm and then fades out...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[...And the big video screen fades back in to show two wrestlers walking backstage on a split-screen...]

[...T-Rex and Enygma are heading toward the ring and everyone knows what that means: it's main event time!]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/T-Rex_alt1.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

Non Title

T-Rex vs. Enygma

[The crowd boos the entrance of The Jurassic Power. He raises four fingers to even more boos when he enters the ring. He leans back in a corner and waits for his opponent. The lights dim and spotlights shine around the crowd. The spotlights all find the USPW World Champion Enygma at the same time. He raises the belt as he stands beside a sign: 'Enygma: The apocalypse of the horsemen.....' He pats the fan on the shoulder and then moved down through the crowd, reaching down to the ringside area and then leaping the guardrail. He sets the belt down at ringside and slides into the ring. T-Rex charges him and punches are thrown by both sides! The bell sounds as T-Rex takes control with his more heavy-handed blows. He grabs Enygma by the mask and knocks him back into the corner hard! The Jurassic Power grabs Enygma -- short-arm clothesline! The crowd boos T-Rex as he flashes four fingers and then stomps on Enygma four times. He puts his boot on the throat of Enygma, using the ropes for leverage for a count of four before breaking the hold. The Jurassic Power looks out toward the crowd for a moment with an evil sneer. He pulls Enygma up and press slams him to the mat! He makes a cover: 1 -- 2 -- kickout!...]

[...During the next few minutes, James Justice, Bryan Holmes and Tyson Baine all come down to the ringside area. A split-screen shows Chris Caulfield's locker room and a large machine right in front of the door blocking it from being opened. T-Rex tosses Enygma out of the ring and then gets the referee's attention as the other members of the Horsemen put the boots to Enygma. Justice whips Enygma hard into the steel steps! Enygma cries out in pain! Tyson Baine lifts Enygma easily and tosses him back into the ring. T-Rex looks down at his prey for a moment and moves behind Enygma. He waits for Enygma to get to his feet and moves in for the Jurassic Crush but Enygma pushes off the ropes and turns the move into a roll up: 1 -- 2 -- kickout! Enygma very nearly won this match out of nowhere! T-Rex got to his feet and lifted Enygma but Enygma threw some punches to break T-Rex's hold. T-Rex looked a little tired inside the ring as Enygma took control. The next few minutes showed Enygma in control and eventually he tossed T-Rex out of the ring where T-Rex seemed to land awkwardly on his right ankle!...]

[...It took a minute for T-Rex to be able to get back inside the ring at the prompting of the rest of the Horsemen. Enygma, though, focused right on that ankle like a shark on a beach tourist. Enygma stomped on the ankle and even dropped an elbow on it! Enygma climbed to the second turnbuckle and leaped -- stomping on the ankle! T-Rex was in obvious pain! Enygma looked to the crowd for a moment, drawing energy from them! Enygma grabbed T-Rex -- Enygma Variation! He got it locked on in the center of the ring! T-Rex's face turned red from the pain he is in! He tried to reach for the ropes but he was too far! He raised his hand -- WHAM! Enygma took a chair shot from Bryan Holmes, prompting a DQ!]

Winner: Enygma (Via Disqualification @ 9:47)

Match Rating: C

[...The Horsemen hit the ring in a swarm all with stomps for Enygma! Enygma had no chance to fight off all three of the men who were left standing. Holmes motioned for Baine to pick Enygma and when Enygma was lifted -- Cyclone Shock Kick! The crowd booed as Enygma fell to the ground again. Holmes made a motion with his hand that he is going to rip the mask off of Enygma! He motioned for Baine to hold Enygma again and then walked over, reaching for the mask when a figure came barreling toward the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[...The crowd cheered loudly for the presence of Bruce The Giant! Bruce stepped in over the top rope and met Holmes with a Giant Headbutt! He clotheslined down James Justice and then came face-to-face with Tyson Baine! The two large men stared each other down for a moment before Justice stepped in and cleared the Horsemen back and out of the ring. Bruce The Giant stood tall at the end of the show.]

I wanted to wait to post, because I knew you were working on the picks table.

I just wanted to say great show!

Is the four-on-four match going to be War Games? I know that it is typically a 5 vs. 5 match but you could totally make it work withh a four-on-four.

You threw me a heck of a curveball with the The Problem Solvers vs. Savage Fury match. I thought for sure The Problem Solvers were going to lose and we would see a Savage Jobber push. I guess they have gone back to being the Jobbers that I have always known they were.

I am glad you enjoyed the show. I sort of enjoyed writing that one up with the future implications and all.

As of this moment, the four on four battle is simply an elimination match. It will definitely have some added stipulations on it, though. Could it be War Games? Maybe. Tune in to find out. :)

And I was sure I'd throw most people a curveball with the Problem Solvers/Savage Fury match and I wasn't disappointed. I have always slightly felt that Tribal Warrior is moreso the Marty Jannetty to Java's Shawn Michaels so who knows where that might lead.

I do appreciate the comments, though. Keep them coming!
