I am in second place in both of your diaries!:(

Great show, I liked War Games. It was really well written.

Humph! It's alright for some, I'm in 7th! :D

I agree about the War Games though, the whole show was excellent as always!

Bryan Holmes vs. James Hernandez

Hernandez has disappeared recently, while Holmes is still occupying one of the main event spots.

Cherry Bomb vs. April Appleseed

Having just joined the now defunct (as if!) Horsemen, Cherry looks like she's getting a push.

Zoe Ammis vs. Alicia Strong

It's Alicia vs. a Russian spy.

Top Contender Match: The Masked Avatar vs. Des Davids

Great win for Des against T-Rex, can't see him losing to Avatar. You're not the sort to give your character opportunities anyway, so I'd be amazed if Avatar was the top contender for anything!

USPW World Television Title Match: Andre Jones defends vs. Freddie Datsun

DQ or count-out? Bit too soon for a title change probably but I think Datsun will win round one.

Tyson Baine vs. Steve Flash

Like I said earlier, I can't see the Horsemen giving up without a fight and Baine's not going to look good losing to Flash.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 1 June 2010

Location: Huntsville Fairgrounds (South East)

Attendance: 3,852

Overall Rating: C-

TV Rating: 1.49

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

I think this show might have actually hurt our popularity overall.

Pre Show: Greg Gauge cuts a backstage promo...D-

Pre Show: In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Ring Generals defeated Rafael Ruiz and Tribal Warrior in 5:40 when Marv Statler defeated Rafael Ruiz by pinfall with a Backdrop Backbreaker...E+

Pre Show: Davis Wayne Newton cuts a backstage promo...E

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The show begins with a good-looking video montage...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_Declaration.jpg

[...Still pictures are shown from USPW's Declaration Of Independence! The end of the show had Giant Redwood give in and the Four Horsemen were officially disbanded as a unit here in USPW!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[inside the Huntsville Fairgrounds, the crowd was psyched for the upcoming card and on their feet with a 'USPW' chant. Then some familiar music kicked in and the crowd went wild...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpg

[...For Sam Strong! The USPW Owner came walking out high-fiving the crowd but he is wearing a suit this evening. He enters the ring with a microphone in hand...]

Sam Strong

"Good evening, Huntsville, Alabama!"

[...The crowd cheers wildly with the cheap pop...]

Sam Strong

"For those of you who did not tune in, last Saturday night saw the end of the reign of what was known as the Four Horsemen here in USPW. I stepped into the ring for what I foresee as the last time in my career."

[...A chant rings out of 'One More Match, One More Match!' Sam looks at the crowd and just laughs and shakes his head...]

Sam Strong

"I'm sorry but I don't think I have it in me. I have been wrestling for years and years and it's about time that these old boots get hung up. But I do have a little something left in me for tonight."

[...Sam tosses the microphone away and then begins posing to cheers from the crowd! He cups his ear to one side and the cheers grow louder there. He points to another and the crowd cheers and he flexes for them. He points to another side and he cups his ear to hear the cheers from the crowd. He turns -- and takes a low blow kick!...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpg

[...The man who gave up last evening, Giant Redwood, has entered the ring and dropped Sam Strong to his knees with a low blow kick! Redwood picks up Sam and body slams him to the mat! Redwood exits the ring and shoves crowd members out of the way, picking up their chairs! He brings two chairs into the ring and begins hooking the head of neck of Sam Strong in one chair. He raises the other to boos from the crowd! The locker room spills forth as a cast of good guys come out from the back and enter the ring, fending off Redwood before he can do anymore damage to Sam Strong. Redwood just smiles and heads to the back with that chair in hand.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/MainstreamHernandez_alt4.jpg

Bryan Holmes vs. James Hernandez

[The crowd was buzzing after that opening attack by Redwood on Sam Strong. That perhaps got more attention than the opening match here on American Wrestling! though the opening match was a good one. Hernandez used his speed to maintain a swift pace and an advantage on Holmes, who tried to ground Hernandez and use his technical abilities during the match. Hernandez went for the Super Kick but Holmes managed to duck out of it and slip behind Hernandez -- Full Nelson -- Final Impact! The bridge was made as a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bryan Holmes (Via Pinfall @ 10:21)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd certainly hasn't had a whole lot to cheer for so far here tonight. But the big video screen lit up to show two figures who the crowd does like...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/KatieCameron.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg

[...Katie Cameron and Steve Flash are within the interview area. Flash looks as stoic and confident as ever...]

Katie Cameron

"Tonight, Steve has perhaps the most difficult match of his career here in USPW. Tyson Baine, we both know that you're going to be looking to get back on the winning track with this match but my client Steve Flash here has been on the winning track. He came within an eyelash of winning the USPW World Tag Team Titles last night and would have if The Towers hadn't walked out on the match. Tonight, will you be any different than the Towers, Tyson? Will you walk out on the match or will you stay in it and suffer the fate of the Flash Bang?"

[...Katie gave Steve a pat on the shoulder and the two walked off as we headed back to the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CherryBomb_jhd1.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AprilAppleseed.jpg

Cherry Bomb vs. April Appleseed

[Not a great women's match by any stretch of the imagination. April Appleseed hasn't done much since her debut here in USPW and Cherry Bomb has not exactly been on a roll even if she was promoted to be a Four Horsewoman last Saturday night. Cherry Bomb is sporting a new look tonight and she also sported a vicious streak that started small but grew bigger as the match went on. She yelled at the crowd not to boo her but they just wouldn't listen. Appleseed took the brunt of that punishment meant for the crowd and she got dropped with a Cherry Bomb and Bomb made the pinfall while pulling at her own hair: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Cherry Bomb (Via Pinfall @ 5:37)

Match Rating: D

[...The bell sounded and Cherry Bomb got to her feet, looking down at April Appleseed. She gave her a few more hardcore stomps to the ribs and then dropped her with another Cherry Bomb! Cherry Bomb seemed to be soothed a little after that explosion and she yelled for Redwood as she climbed out of the ring and ran for the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd booed Cherry Bomb, especially as she was going looking for Giant Redwood. The big video screen lit up to show the interview area once more and this time a Champion stood in the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

[...Andre Jones gave a pat to the belt over his shoulder...]

Andre Jones

"Freddie Datsun, the American Everypunk, huh? Do you really think that you have what it takes to challenge for this belt? Do you really think you have what it takes to beat me for this title? I have defended this belt 13 times already in the span of this year. Every challenger that has stepped to the plate has been knocked down to their place. Just because you won some triple threat match, don't think for a moment that you've got some kind of leg up on me. The only leg you gonna see tonight is gonna be attached to my boot when it comes up your ass. Tonight, just like all the others, you're gonna see a Blast From The Past!"

[...Andre pats the belt on his shoulder again and we head back to the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ZoeAmmis.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

Zoe Ammis vs. Alicia Strong

[Alicia was heavily distracted within this match for some obvious reasons, mostly due to her father being attacked earlier this evening. This led to Zoe Ammis having the advantage here and there throughout the bout when Alicia became unfocused. Alicia, though, is better than some even give her credit for and she was able to fight back against Ammis and send her into the corner. When Ammis came out, she was nailed with the Strong Arm Tactic! Strong made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Alicia Strong (Via Pinfall @ 4:47)

Match Rating: D-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[in an effort to bring up the crowd's mood from what most would agree has been a lackluster show so far, the main event for next week's show got some major hype...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[...James Justice and Tyson Baine, two former Horsemen bent on revenge, taking on USPW World Champion Enygma and Bruce The Giant! What a main event that should be next week right here on USPW American Wrestling!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TheMaskedAvatar.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

Top Contender Match

The Masked Avatar vs. Des Davids

[Another match that didn't quite live up to its billing. Many didn't know what title this was a top contenders match to. But it is a top contenders match to determine a challenger for the winner of the Andre Jones/Freddie Datsun match and will face that winner next week here on USPW American Wrestling. This match was mostly dominated by the younger Des Davids. Davids kept Avatar on his toes throughout the match and even managed to get the masked turned around so that Avatar couldn't see! Davids dropped Avatar with a German Suplex with no bridge, all impact! He got up and waited for Avatar to rise -- Quarterback Sack! Avatar was down and out for the count when Davids made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Des Davids (Via Pinfall @ 3:56)

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd did enjoy the ending of that match though it sets up a scenario where if Freddie Datsun wins tonight then he will be facing his partner next week! The big video screen lit up to show another Champion...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/PeterValentine.jpg

[...USPW National Champion Peter Valentine stood within the interview area and looked toward the camera...]

Peter Valentine

"Last Saturday night, I proved each and every one of you people wrong. I also proved Sam Strong wrong. He thinks that his best wrestler shouldn't be on pay-per-view every month? He thinks that these James Hernandez's and Nicky Champion's and Des Davids's are the way to go? You're looking at an elite veteran in this business. How do I prove that? By holding onto my title each and every week when I step into the ring against the so-called competition that USPW has to offer. Nicky, you weren't fit to lace my boots last Saturday and I proved that when I beat you. Now, the question becomes, who is next to have their heart broken by Peter Valentine? When I'm around, it's always Valentine's Day!"

[...Peter gave a pat to the gold belt there on his shoulder and we headed back to the ring for our USPW World Television Title bout...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_TV.jpg

USPW World Television Title Match

Andre Jones defends vs. Freddie Datsun

[This was hardly a great match though it was looking pretty good compared to what has gone on before it here tonight. The Holmes/Hernandez match in the beginning stands out as the best so far. Jones and Datsun did what they could to get the crowd involved and that included making several near-fall attempts on either side. Datsun went for the Patriot Press but Jones managed to wriggle free and bring Datsun down in a sunset flip: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Jones hit a running knee lift to Datsun as the American Everyman tried to get to his feet. Jones locked in a Boston Crab on Datsun but Datsun would not submit! He fought all the way to the ropes and was able to break the hold with the referee's help. Jones went down and Datsun grabbed him in an inside cradle: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Both men got to their feet and Jones ducked a clothesline -- kick to the gut! Jones pulled Datsun in between his legs -- Datsun blocks the Blast From The Past attempt -- he elevates Jones in a back body drop -- sunset flip by Jones! Jones grabs the ropes for leverage: 1 -- 2 -- 3! The 14th successful defense by Andre Jones!]

Winner: Andre Jones (Via Pinfall @ 7:03)

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd booed as Andre left the ring with the title in hand. The focus turned to the big video screen there so the crowd could see a Hardcore American standing within the interview area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[...Even though his team won last Saturday night, Chris Caulfield did not look like a happy man...]

Chris Caulfield

"James Justice, I know you're hiding somewhere but you're listening to me. My revenge is not even close to being done when it comes to you, boy. As a matter of fact, I made a deal with Sam Strong before the match went on the air. When our team won, I would get a one on one shot with you at Americana! at the end of June. That's right, James, no hiding behind your Horsemen buddies, nothing but just plain Hardcore America Style! I hope that you're prepared for this meeting because I do have some plans for you."

[...Chris removed the bandana and began a maniacal laughter as we headed back to the ring for our main event...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/KatieCameron.jpg

Tyson Baine vs. Steve Flash

[The match that should have been the best match on the card ranks out as the second best to the opening bout. This was a batle of brute power and strength and straight-ahead charging against technical wizardry, psychology and hit and move technique. Flash used some communication from Katie Cameron during this bout to mount his assault on Tyson Baine. Baine kept running straight-forward to Flash and Flash avoided him and assaulted him with kicks and then a takedown to bring the larger man down to the mat. Flash worked over the legs of Baine, always a smart assault technique on a larger foe. Flash tied up Baine in a leglock but Baine would not give up. Baine used the ropes to get the hold broken and used the referee to distract Flash so his assault could begin...]

[...Baine took control and sent Flash outside the ring. Baine joined him out there and ran Flash into the ringpost! Then he turned to the guardrail and press slammed him ribs-first onto the guardrail! The crowd booed as referee Robbie Sanchez made the standard ten count. Baine tossed Flash back inside the ring and joined him in there. Baine took control with a bear hug, squeezing the life out of Steve Flash! Flash started to go limp in Baine's arms and referee Robbie Sanchez checked the arm of Flash: it dropped once, it dropped twice, it dropped a third -- no! Flash kept the arm up! The crowd tried to get behind Flash, cheering and clapping and Flash boxed the ears of Baine three times to get the hold broken! Flash threw his shoulder into the knee of Tyson Baine to bring him back down to the mat! Flash pulled him back up and whipped him into the corner -- reversed! Flash hit the corner but the referee was in that corner! Robbie Sanchez got squished! Especially when Baine came running in like a freight train and corner-splashed them both!...]

[...With referee Robbie Sanchez out on the mat, Baine went outside the ring and made a threatening gesture toward Katie Cameron! Katie ran off and Baine grabbed a chair from ringside, sliding in the ring with the chair! Steve Flash slowly moved toward his feet, using the ropes to help him up -- CLANG! Flash took a chair shot directly to the face! The crowd booed as Baine dropped the chair. He grabbed Flash and hooked him around the throat -- Hades Bomb on the chair! Flash starts going into convulsions! Baine throws the chair out and grabs Robbie Sanchez, slapping him to wake him up and then he covers Flash: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Tyson Baine (Via Pinfall @ 10:03)

Match Rating: C-

[...The crowd boos the cheating methods of Tyson Baine but he is the man with his arm raised in the ring. Baine raises his hand in a mock gesture of what Bruce The Giant does and then runs his thumb across his throat! Tyson Baine is looking for Bruce The Giant! And we're out of time! We'll see you next week right here on USPW American Wrestling!]

SATURDAY...

Week 1 June 2010...

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TheMaskedAvatar.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

[...Following the latest USPW American Wrestling show, Zoe Ammis stepped away from the company as per the agreement that was made. It was a talent trade with AAA that included Belle Bryden making a one card return for that company. Anne Stardust was only too happy to make that arrangement...]

[...Contracts have come in today on two specific wrestlers that will be making their debuts soon enough. One of them is a male talent and the other is a female talent. There are also two more contract negotiations out there, of which I expect to hear back from tomorrow. Plans are already in motion for all of these wrestlers...]

[...Speaking of contracts, at the end of this month there will be several wrestlers whose contracts I will either let expire or I will terminate. A lot of it depends on how these wrestlers fare over the course of the rest of the month. On the possible chopping block are: Captain USA, Darryl Devine, Davis Wayne Newton, The Ring Generals, Ekuma The Hawaiian Strongman, James Hernandez, Pete The Hillbilly, Rafael Ruiz, Sara Marie York, Ted Brady, The Big Problem and Tribal Warrior....]

[...This evening, Alicia Strong and I had just rented 'Law Abiding Citizen.' I didn't get a chance to see it at the movies and neither did she so we were looking forward to a good evening spent within the apartment of snuggling and watching a video. Alicia had arrived and she put the DVD into the DVD player. We sat down and relaxed to watch the movie, sitting on the couch together...]

Alicia Strong

"Avatar, where is this relationship going?"

The Masked Avatar

"What do you mean?"

[...Of course she couldn't be satisfied with just watching a movie. She had to bring up a conversation about our feelings. I will spare you the details here but needless to say that I cannot break up with her even if I wanted to. My job would be gone in an instant. Besides, I don't want to break up with her. So sometimes you have to put up with conversations like this, even during a movie...]

Yeah but he did it on the biggest stage!:D

Being a non-American and not knowing who Don Larsen is, I of course did the sensible thing and wikipediaed the man. Finding out he played a perfect game meant nothing to me so I looked that up too. Needless to say I still have no idea what he did but I am suitable impressed. Therefore, for at least as long as this post lasts, BHK shall be hereby known as Don. :p

Very true! A World Series perfect game is very special.

Do not fire the Ring Generals! :)

They are just a possible firing but not a probable one because of their talent.

Not many people in the States know he who is either, so you are not alone in that boat.:D

Shame on those people here in the States that don't know who he is. And jhd1 he was a baseball pitcher that in the World Series threw a perfect game (no walks, no hitter, etc.)

As you know from the past, I have never booked specifically for grades but for storylines. Glad you've found it entertaining though because that is my ultimate goal. I have several pieces of talent coming in soon that I believe will be definite good additions to USPW. But any suggestions are always welcome.

Simple answer to all your problems.

His name is feared in Russia for the sole reason that he once pwned Marat Khoklov. With one punch. His name is Dusty Bin and he is the man to take USPW into the modern ages.

This message was paid for by the Dusty Bin fanclub. Wednesday is poker night with the great one himself.
