Sam Strong rules! Great final match too!

Jack Griffith vs. Bruce The Giant

Griffith seemed to fade away after his feud with Champion ended while Bruce has been on fire since his face turn.

Travis Force vs. James Hernandez

Same for Hernandez, and a Force victory would be good in his fledgling USPW career.

USPW World Television Title Match: Andre Jones defends vs. ???

DQ victory for the mystery man sets up a feud.

Guesses On Mystery Man (No extra points awarded): Assuming it is a new signing or at least a debuting worker I'll go Jared Johnson.

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Freddie Datsun

Makes the most sense if he is going to be feuding with the likes of Enygma.

Non Title: Dean Waldorf vs. Enygma

World champion vs non-existent tag team member.

Tyson Baine vs. Chris Caulfield

Tough one to call this, but perhaps a bounce-back victory for Baine wouldn't be a bad thing.

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

This show can be considered a success, it should have increased our popularity.

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Nicky Champion defeated Peter Valentine in 4:07 by pinfall with a Hawkeye Hammer...D+

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Des Davids defeated Anger in 5:08 by pinfall with a Quarterback Sack...D+

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Steve Flash defeated Fumihiro Ota in 4:51 by pinfall with a Flash Bang...C+

[Just last Saturday night, the wrestling world witnessed a pay-per-view event like no other. They witnessed...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_Americana.jpg

[...Americana! On this night, the National Title changed hands as Nicky Champion defeated Peter Valentine, Sam Strong put down the challenge of the mighty Giant Redwood, Des Davids defeated Greg Gauge in a battle of future stars, James Justice pinned Chris Caulfield through some nefarious means and Enygma successfully defended the USPW World Title against Bryan Holmes. But the evening wasn't over after that match as Shawn Gonzalez and Eric Tyler hit the ring and attacked the champion, leaving him lying on the mat and walking away with his USPW World Title belt.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JackGriffith.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

Jack Griffith vs. Bruce The Giant

[The show begins inside the ring where Jack Griffith is standing in wait of his opponent this evening. The crowd cheers when the largest athlete in the world comes out and heads for the ring. Bruce The Giant steps over the top rope and is assaulted by Jack Griffith midway toward getting into the ring. Griffith's assault is stopped by a Giant Headbutt. Bruce went on the assault on Griffith and proved the point that he is a dominating athlete as Tyson Baine found out at Americana. Bruce wrapped his hand around the throat of Jack Griffith and lifted him in the air -- Giant Choke Slam! Bruce put a boot on Jack's chest: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bruce The Giant (Via Pinfall @ 6:11)

Match Rating: C

[...A big win for Bruce The Giant here tonight. However, what he doesn't see is a figure sliding in the ring behind him...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg

[...WHAM! A chair shot to the back by Tyson Baine! Another one! Another one! Four chair shots bring Bruce The Giant to the mat. Baine stands over him, looking down before dropping the chair. The crowd boos Baine but he doesn't even seem to be listening to them.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[As the ring cleared from that heinous attack, the next wrestler out gave the crowd reason to boo even more...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Liberty_jhd2.jpg

[...The man who beat Chris Caulfield last Saturday night came walking out to the ring. He slipped inside and was handed a microphone...]

James Justice

"Last Saturday night, I took care of business inside my ring just like I said I was going to. I pinned Chris Caulfield 1 - 2 - 3! Now I am done with him. He has never pinned me and he never will. But since this is MY ring, I thought that I needed to add something to it. Maybe something that looked a little like gold. I think..."

[...James's words were interrupted by some familiar music and a cheering crowd...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/NickyChampion.jpg

[...Brand new USPW National Champion Nicky Champion walked out from the back. The crowd cheered heavily for him while James looked rather upset that he was interrupted. Nicky entered the ring and was given a microphone...]

Nicky Champion

"Speaking of gold, James, I am the brand new USPW National Champion!"

[...Big cheer from the crowd!...]

Nicky Champion

"Now if you want to try adding some gold to your collection, why don't we just go ahead and make it official: USPW Independence Day Slam at the end of the month: Nicky Champions defends the USPW National Title against...James Justice!"

[...The crowd cheered, liking the sound of that match!...]

James Justice

"You really don't want to keep that belt for long, do you? Nicky, you are in MY ring. This is mine and no one can take that away from me. When you step into my world, Nicky Champion, you are in for a world of hurt. You better mark my words, Nicky Champion, at the end of the month the only thing you'll be walking away with is yourself."

[...James's music kicks up and he exits the ring, heading to the back, shortly followed by Nicky Champion who takes the time to give the fans high fives...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TravisCentury_jhd.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/MainstreamHernandez_alt4.jpg

Travis Force vs. James Hernandez

[The crowd really didn't get too behind this match except for an interest in the in-ring debut of Travis Force. Hernandez got in a few shots early but for the most part this was dominance by Force. Travis ended the match by lifting Hernandez and dropping him with a Full Force and making the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Travis Force (Via Pinfall @ 4:16)

Match Rating: D+

[...Travis made the pinfall count and then was handed a microphone to boos from the crowd...]

Travis Force

"Behold the power of the FORCE! For I have come from the mighty side of Parts Unknown to bring here the true power of the dark side of the FORCE! You will all join me or you shall perish at my hand."

[...Travis paused in his words because coming from the back is none other than...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JimForce_jhdad4.jpg

[...Jim Force! Jim steps into the ring with a microphone in hand...]

Jim Force

"The dark side of the Force is no match for me, brother! For I shall once again defeat a dastardly no-gooder! I am -- ohhhhh -- ugh!"

[...Travis reached out toward Jim with a hand and Jim's hands moved to his throat and he made sounds like he was choking! Jim tried to fight it but he couldn't. He fell to his knees, still choking with the power of the dark side. The lights went out in the building. When they returned, Travis was gone and Jim was lying on the mat until EMT's came to help him to the back...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd booed the attack by Travis Force but then cheered when a figure appeared on the big video screen...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[...'The Hardcore American' Chris Caulfield is seen walking down a hallway backstage. He pauses at a pepsi machine and pulls out a dollar when he gets attacked from behind...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg

[...Eric Tyler calls the shots as Shawn Gonzalez attacks Chris Caulfield! Gonzalez takes down Caulfield with a body slam and then locks on the Latino Crab! Tyler slaps Caulfield across the face as Gonzalez wrenches back on the Latino Crab! Boos rain through the crowd as it takes awhile for officials and security to arrive on the scene and break things up. We head back to the ring while they do so.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ArtReed.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW_TV.jpg

USPW World Television Title Match

Andre Jones defends vs. Art Reed

[The crowd was shocked and happy at the arrival of 'The Pure Athlete' Art Reed when he came down as the mystery opponent for Andre Jones in this USPW World Television Title defense! Jones definitely didn't seem prepared for Reed's quick offense and technical wrestling prowess as Reed got several near-falls early on. But when Jones settled in, he showed some wrestling strength of his own. Reed managed to block the Blast From The Past Piledriver and he turned Jones into the Dread Lock! Jones tried to break the hold or reach the ropes but he wasn't able to and eventually he had to submit! We have a NEW USPW World Television Champion!]

Winner: Art Reed (Via Submission @ 9:19; Art Reed Wins the USPW World Television Title)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd was absolutely happy at a new Television Champion but boos came when a female figure appeared on the big video screen...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg

[...Belle Bryden stood there with the USPW Women's Title belt around her waist...]

Belle Bryden

"That's right, USPW fans, I still have this women's title around my waist even though most of you thought I was going to lose it. But I can't blame you all for not being smart. After all, most of you are from the south and we all know how unintelligent southern people can be. But now onto the woman who decided to stick her nose in my business...again. Joanne, you just can't fight wanting to ride my coattails, can you? No matter where I go, it's always the same. People are always waiting for you to show up wherever I am and I'm sick of it! Independence Day Slam? Let me take care of you and prove that I am the best USPW Women's Champion that has ever been."

[...Belle did a hair flip and we headed back to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Freddie Datsun

[This one was a pretty decent match here between two former DAVE wrestlers. Gonzalez had a bit of an upper hand with Eric Tyler in his corner. He wasn't afraid to use Tyler either, tossing Datsun outside the ring and letting Tyler choke Datsun on the guardrail! The crowd booed this interference but Tyler tossed Datsun back into the ring. Gonzalez picked up Datsun and body slammed him to the mat. He grabbed Datsun's legs -- Latino Crab! Datsun almost automatically was tapping the mat and the bell sounded.]

Winner: Shawn Gonzalez (Via Submission @ 8:26)

Match Rating: C-

[...Eric Tyler walked into the ring following the sounding of the bell holding the USPW World Title belt that he took from Enygma last Saturday night. Tyler also had a microphone and handed the belt to Shawn Gonzalez...]

Eric Tyler

"A revolution is coming, USPW. A revolution that will change the face of United States Pro Wrestling. It will change how you view this company. Shawn Gonzalez is just the first. He is the first member of my brand new Hard Corps. There will be more to come, maybe there are already members here in the locker room. Enygma and Chris Caulfield were just the first two members of USPW to feel our wrath. Enygma, you claim to be the top wrestler here in USPW? HA! Shawn Gonzalez is going to take your place at the top. But we're not here for you yet. Shawn?"

[...Shawn takes the USPW World Title belt and lays it on the mat...]

Eric Tyler

"I know you're up next, Enygma, so you can come and get your title belt, then. But our first target is the man who calls himself the 'Hardcore American?' Hardcore, huh? Riiiight. Chris, you don't know hardcore. But you will. You will find out just how hardcore my man right here can be at the end of the month. I will give you that much time to leave the company before you have to face him. If you don't? Well, you won't just get a hospital stay, you will be Dead On Arrival."

[...Eric drops the microphone and pats Shawn on the back before the two head toward the backstage area...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd booed Eric and Shawn and then a figure appeared on the big video screen that continued those boos...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg

[...Bryan Holmes looked to the cameras, adjusting his wristtape for a moment and it looks like he is actually going to speak!...]

Bryan Holmes

"Enygma, you beat me in the center of the ring last Saturday night. I'm not going to come out here and make any excuses for the loss. You hurt my ankle and forced me to submit to your Enygma Variation. Kudos to you. What I am here for right now is to ask for a rematch. I think I deserve a rematch. But I don't want just any match, Enygma. I want a match that will prove who the better man is. I want a 30 minute ironman match. There will be no fluke wins, no fluke submissions. The better man will walk away with the belt. The better man will win."

[...Bryan adjusts his wristtape again and we head down to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DeanWaldorf.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

Non Title

Dean Waldorf vs. Enygma

[Dean Waldorf was the first man down to the ring but the belt had already been taken out of the ring and put at ringside where it would normally be during the match. Waldorf stretched on the ropes as the lights dimmed within the arena. The spotlights moved through and around the fans before finding Enygma! Enygma pointed to a sign beside him: 'Enygma: The man....the myth...no the Legend' and then headed down to the ring to go one on one with Dean Waldorf. Waldorf attacked immediately, taking the early advantage on Enygma. Waldorf sent Enygma to the ropes but Enygma ducked a clothesline and came back with one of his own! Enygma grabbed Waldorf and hit him with three straight vertical suplexes! The match was mostly a showcase for the USPW World Champion. Enygma smacked Waldorf's ankle against the ring post late in the match and then came back in the ring -- Enygma Variation! Waldorf struggled but eventually he had to tap.]

Winner: Enygma (Via Submission @ 10:10)

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield.jpg

Tyson Baine vs. Chris Caulfield

[A very hard-hitting main event here and the fans wouldn't have it any other way. Tyson Baine held the early advantage as Chris Caulfield was suffering from the attack earlier by Shawn Gonzalez. Baine focused in on the back of the Hardcore American. He pulled Caulfield up in a backbreaker and did three in a row, not releasing Caulfield until the third one was done and then dropping him to the mat. Baine made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Baine was not happy about that kickout! He picked up Caulfield and whipped him hard into the corner. It was hard enough that Caulfield bounced out of the corner and dropped to his knees holding his back. Baine came running in and nailed Caulfield with a knee to the head. The crowd booed Baine but Baine didn't even seem to notice. Baine picked up Caulfield and tied him in the tree of woe! Baine began stomping Caulfield in the head! Baine released Caulfield and then lifted him up -- Bear Hug! The crowd booed as Baine squeezed Caulfield in the tight Bear Hug! Caulfield shook his head when asked if he submits. The crowd got behind the Hardcore American! They began clapping and stomping their feet! Caulfield grabbed Baine and began throwing punches! A fifth punch broke the Bear Hug! Caulfield dropped to his feet and threw a clothesline to bring Baine down!...]

[...Caulfield grabbed his back and shook his head as he dropped to his knees beside Baine. Caulfield threw a few punches to the head of Tyson Baine, finding it a little hard to breathe with the back pain. Caulfield got back up though and dropped a knee on Baine. He picked up Baine and wrapped him around the waist -- German Suplex! Caulfield holds the bridge: 1 -- 2 -- the bridge collapses with Caulfield's bad back! The Hardcore American is definitely damaged goods right now. Both Caulfield and Baine got to their feet. Baine went for a clothesline but Caulfield ducked and grabbed Baine around the head -- Danger Drop! Caulfield connected with the Danger Drop! But he grabs his back in pain for just a few seconds before crawling over and making the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Chris Caulfield (Via Pinfall @ 8:15)

Match Rating: B-

[...Chris Caulfield secures the victory here tonight over Tyson Baine! The referee raises his hand but then gets out of the way as two figures enter the ring...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg

[...Shawn Gonzalez puts the boots to the back of Chris Caulfield! Eric Tyler joins in! The crowd boos heavily and Tyson Baine exits the ring, heading to the back. Gonzalez locks Caulfield in the Latino Crab! Eric Tyler grabs a crossface on Caulfield! Caulfield may have passed out from the pain because his back was already damaged! The show comes to a close with the holds being applied to Chris Caulfield. We'll see you next week!]

I have a couple of questions for my loyal readers. These questions will be going out in both diaries...

The first question is do you prefer the new more streamlined, shorter matches or would you prefer for me to return to my old style of the longer matches? I am good either way so that is why I am asking my readers.

The second question is that I have been toying with using the cheat code that increases all the user talents to 10. I'd like to know what my readers think about this type of thing.

Streamline is much better for me, looks great man :)

User grades don't make much difference to me really, and Avatar is a vet really so his grades would be high already to me so it seems fine by me :)

The match-ups are really your choice... I like both ways... I'm usually a fan of long write ups, if the writer is really good... And you really are... But it's your choice, I do not want you to burn out because of write ups :o

I do not care about the cheat, Do as you like :D Maybe the cheat would be good for you to try to get Bruce to resign. :D

Could Gonzalez be the man to topple Enygma!? Who knows, but he's definitely the man to topple JJ.

Amber Allen vs. Alicia Strong

He's just won, he'll not drop it to someone else who has just dropped a belt.

Greg Gauge vs. Enygma

Champ wins every time, especially when the challenger just lost to Des Davids.

Bryan Holmes vs. Steve Flash

This is really going to be a match! Holmes to edge it as the bigger name.

Like most I'm happy either way. The last show was a good mix, especially with the longer main event so whichever you find most comfortable.

As for the 'cheat,' well Don said it best ;)

You keep writing as you are and you could edit Jared Johnson's popularity to 100 for all I care. Some diaries I will read the grades but I never have for yours. I don't know a single show grade since this diary started (initially because you wrote it at the top and I always missed them) because I'm just not interested. You write the diary so well that the grades and the game mechanics are completely in the background. That is, at least meant to be, a huge compliment - I'm reading this not as a diary but as a story or a recap almost as I would read the RAW results. In fact, I've stopped reading the RAW results, but I'm still here. Take that Vince :D
