USPW National Title Match: James Justice gets a shot vs. Nicky Champion

I am not sure if you will actually go through with this change but I think you might.

USPW Women's Title Match: Belle Bryden defends vs. Joanne Rodriguez

Cherry Bomb and Giant Redwood vs. Alicia Strong and Des Davids

Tough call on this one, but I think Alicia and her boy toy will win.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Performance Class

I am seeing a Robert Oxford turn in the near future so I do not think they will win the gold here.

Tyson Baine vs. Bruce The Giant

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Chris Caulfield

I think this could really go either way, but I just have a feeling that Shawn will win.

USPW World Title Match, 30 Minute Ironman Match: Bryan Holmes gets a shot vs. Enygma

I shall agree with BHK's picks as he is leading the prediction board with Hyde Hill.

Sign = Jared Johnson > Enygma and Bryan Holems put together.

Angel,

any chance we can get a world update on how SWF, TCW, NOTBPW people like that are doing in your world? :)

Actually...yes! I am going to start doing an end-of-month wrapup at the end of the month, which means after the pay-per-views.

So, what I need from all of you is: which promotions would you like to see recapped? Which figures do you want to know what's gone on with them?

USPW National Title Match: James Justice gets a shot vs. Nicky Champion

Champion hasn't held the belt for a while and Justice really needs someone to feud with. A DQ victory or a flash pin from Nicky sets up a bit of a programme between the two.

USPW Women's Title Match: Belle Bryden defends vs. Joanne Rodriguez

Too soon for a change, not enough build.

Cherry Bomb and Giant Redwood vs. Alicia Strong and Des Davids

I enjoyed Cherry Bomb's short-lived run with The Horsemen, I could never find anything for her to do. Since then she hasn't really done much and Alicia is the star of the four really.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Performance Class

Two shows ago I would have picked the Class, but we are starting to see cracks in the paint. Perhaps Bob is retiring? Doesn't matter, I don't think Flash and Oxford will leave the arena in the same taxi.

Tyson Baine vs. Bruce The Giant

Bruce is on fire at the moment.

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Chris Caulfield

Draw. Count-out. SE finish. These two aren't going to be finishing this feud tonight.

USPW World Title Match, 30 Minute Ironman Match: Bryan Holmes gets a shot vs. Enygma

I want to say Holmes, I really do. I just can't.

Amazing, amazing article, my friend! Thanks a lot for taking the time to work on it and welcome to the writing staff. :D Like I said before, if you need anything from my way, just let me know.[/center]

It's a pleasure to be on board my friend!

I shall agree with BHK's picks as he is leading the prediction board with Hyde Hill.

When I were a lad, BHK would be chasing me up the leaderboard...:D

SWF and TCW are the obvious ones. Any major stars move rosters? Frehley gone to TCW, Dread to TCW, Big Smack Scott to BSC? :p

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">INDEPENDENCE DAY SLAM - THE TITLE MATCHES!</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In USPW.com's second Article of the Week, we will be taking a closer look at the four championship matches lined up for Saturday's big event, Independence Day Slam...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Belle Bryden vs. Joanne Rodriguez for the USPW Women's Title</span></strong></p><p>

'The Dish of the Day' against the woman they call J-Ro. Us internet fans have been waiting for this matchup on PPV for years. Two of the most talented, experienced female wrestlers set to battle it out for the biggest prize in women's wrestling. Belle has become a fixture of USPW TV of late, but J-Ro is certainly making her name known among the crowd, and the locker-room.</p><p>

<em>Can J-Ro take the title from Belle's cold, harsh grasp? This writer certainly hopes so, and perhaps we, the fans, can get a bit more respect from our ladies champion!</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Nicky Champion vs. James Justice for the USPW National Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nicky Champion's first real challenge as National Champion comes in the shape of former fan favourite James Justice. The man once revered as 'The Dude' turned on every one of his fans to become the dark heart of the Four Horsemen. Now striking out on his own, James Justice has the opportunity to end Champion's reign before it has even begun.</p><p>

<em>But will Hawkeye have the talent to hold on to the gold, or will Justice be riding in on a stallion of doom? This writer thinks that if anyone can defeat Double J it is Nicky Champion, a man surely destined for greatness.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Towers of Power vs. Performance Class for the USPW Tag Team Titles</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Since winning the tag titles back in January - at USPW's first ever PPV event no less - The Towers of Power have shown exactly why they are one of the most decorated teams in USPW history. With succesful defences against the likes of The Hillbillys, The People's Team of Des Davids and Freddie Datsun and Savage Fury, the pairing of Danny Rushmore and Mick Muscles will be confident that they can see off the challenge of the aging Performance Class. Flash and Oxford, on the other hand, could be just the duo to win tonight, having both the in-ring talent and experience to really take it to Shane Sneer's boys.</p><p>

<em>But are we seeing signs of a rift in the ranks of the Class? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain - a victory tonight will go a long way to cementing any cracks appearing between the two NOTBPW veterans.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Enygma vs. Bryan Holmes for the USPW World Title</span></strong></p><p>

World Champion since April, Enygma has proved himself to be a worthy custodian for USPW's most coveted prize. Bryan Holmes' introduction to the company cannot be denied, however, and despite having lost a title challenge just a few weeks ago must still be confident heading into this match. For the first time ever, USPW's top title will be competed for in a 30 minute Iron Man match, the winner of which will be the person with the most number of pinfalls and/or submissions in the alloted time.</p><p>

<em>Things are sure to be tight but who will be the one to come out on top? This could be so close, I'd almost rather not say but coming down to it, USPW.com's editor will have to go with deserving Champion Enygma.</em></p><p> </p><p>

You may have noticed I have gone for the fan favourites in every match - what do you expect, USPW.com is a sucker for the good guy (and gal)!</p><p> </p><p>

In addition to these four fantastic matchups, we've got Shawn Gonzalez taking on Chris Caulfield, Tyson Baine faces a tough challenge in the huge form of Bruce the Giant, while the unlikely combo of Cherry Bomb and Giant Redwood will be facing off against Alicia Strong and Des Davids.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Don't, whatever you do, miss USPW INDEPENDENCE DAY SLAM! live on PPV, Saturday Week 4 July 2010!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

I changed my sign.

USPW INDEPENDENCE DAY SLAM!

Saturday Week 4 July 2010

Location: Louisiana Auditorium (South East)

Attendance: 10,000

Overall Rating: C+

PPV Buyrate: 1.06

Some of the angles used definitely helped lift the show as a whole.

This show can be considered a success, it should have increased our popularity.

Pre Show: In an extremely short match, Darryl Devine defeated Rafael Ruiz in 4:10 by pinfall with a Devine Dream Drop...C-

USPW National Title Match

James Justice gets a shot vs. Nicky Champion

[The sounds of 'Epic' by Faith No More brings the crowd to their feet in boos! James Justice steps out from the back and shoves a member of the crowd to the ground! The crowd boos him even more as security steps in to restrain the fan and Justice walks casually down to the ring, slipping inside.

'Right now!

Hey, it's your tomorrow!

Right now!

Come on, it's everything!'

'Right Now' by Van Halen begins to play and the crowd raises to their feet in cheers for the National Champion, the fan favorite Nicky Champion! Nicky raises the belt high in the air before running down to the ring and sliding in. He eyes James Justice and hands the belt over to referee Jez McArthuer...]

[...The crowd was really into this opening bout here between two top wrestlers. Nicky Champion showed his ability to hang with one of the top wrestlers here in USPW by gaining several near falls at the beginning of the match. Justice settled in during the middle portion, bringing Champion down to the mat and working him over. Justice choked Nicky on the ropes and referee Jez McArthuer made him back off. Andre Jones came down to the ring during the middle portion and had Justice distracted. Nicky made his comeback but Justice ducked an attempt at a Hawkeye Hammer. Justice hooked Nicky Champion -- Liberation Slam! Justice turned -- clothesline by Andre Jones! The referee called for the bell.]

Winner: James Justice (Via Disqualification @ 7:50; Nicky Champion retains the USPW National Title)

Match Rating: B-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg

[...Justice gets the win but not the title. Andre quickly slides out of the ring, pointing to his head. Justice was not happy about that! 'Nitro' by the Offspring played for Andre Jones as he backed up the aisle. Justice complained to the referee but he did get the win but not the title.]

USPW Women's Title Match

Belle Bryden defends vs. Joanne Rodriguez

[Our second match of the night started with both women within the ring. These two showed the great chemistry that comes with both of them having wrestled each other again and again. Late in the match, Bryden pushed away from the J-Rocker and sent Joanne Rodriguez into the referee! Bryden slid out of the ring and grabbed a chair from ringside, sliding back in. She waited for Joanne to get up -- WHAM! Chair shot! Bryden tossed the chair out and revived referee Robbie Sanchez. Bryden made a cover, putting her feet on the ropes for leverage: 1 -- 2 -- 3! Belle Bryden with a successful but controversial defense of the USPW Women's Title!]

Winner: Belle Bryden (Via Pinfall @ 6:46; Belle Bryden retains the USPW Women's Title)

Match Rating: B-

[The big video screen lights up and shows the interview area. A figure steps in and the crowd cheers...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[...Chris Caulfield is there but obviously favoring his knee...]

Chris Caulfield

"Shawn Gonzalez, last Wednesday night you tried to take me out. But you made one mistake: you let me live!"

[...Chris rips off the bandana and hits his forehead until he starts bleeding...]

Chris Caulfield

"Tonight you are going to find out just how hardcore I can be. Blood? No problem. Injured knee? No problem. I am going to focus tonight on getting my revenge. I am going to destroy your Hard Corps Revolution tonight."

[...Chris looks into the camera and then walks away with blood dripping down his forehead.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/CherryBomb_jhd1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/GiantRedwood.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DesDavids.jpg

Cherry Bomb and Giant Redwood vs. Alicia Strong and Des Davids

[This tag team encounter had average heat from the fans but had a little more inside the ring as Alicia was also looking for revenge against Giant Redwood for the attacks made on her father earlier in the year. But in this match the women could only wrestle the women and the men only the men. When Redwood came down to the ring, he looked at a sign and laughed. The sign read: 'Redwood save us!' He took the sign and tossed it away before going down to the ring. Cherry Bomb and Alicia fought pretty evenly when inside the ring but Des Davids looked pretty dominant against Giant Redwood. Late in the match, Giant Redwood was visibly tiring. He had a tough time moving around the ring and this left an opening for a Quarterback Sack from Des Davids! Davids made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Alicia Strong and Des Davids (Via Pinfall @ 7:10)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

[The crowd was psyched for the Alicia Strong/Des Davids combination winning the match. Davids got down in a three point stance and ran out of the ring headed toward the back. Then the big video screen lit up and the crowd cheered...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

[...As Enygma stepped onto the screen! Enygma looked at the camera and crossed his arms. He tilted his head. He uncrossed his arms. He pointed to the belt and then to himself to prove that it's his. He nodded and then walked off.]

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Towers of Power defend vs. Performance Class

[Another title match here. This time, Performance Class came out to the ring with 'Ready To Strike' by Firewind playing within the background. They argued about who was going to enter the ring first but Katie Cameron stepped between them. They both climbed in the ring and raised their arms to cheers from the crowd.

'Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the floor

Let the bodies hit the FLOOR!'

'Bodies' by Drowning Pool began to play and the crowd rose in boos as Shane Sneer led out the USPW World Tag Team Champions The Towers of Power. Sneer looked supremely confident as he brought the champs out. The Towers entered the ring and went right after Flash and Oxford!...]

[...Oxford and Muscles started out the match in the ring while Rushmore ran Flash into the ring post outside the ring. Muscles showed his pure power on Oxford, also playing to the crowd and getting booed. Oxford fought his way back and seemed intent on staying in the ring against both Muscles and Rushmore's onslaught. Oxford showed some strong technical wrestling. Muscles whipped Oxford to the ropes and Flash blind tagged himself in. Flash jumped over the top rope and both went after Muscles and began arguing. They both dropped Muscles and Oxford pushed Flash! Muscles tagged out to Rushmore and Oxford moved over to the corner. Rushmore got in an attack from behind and the Towers of Power began their control once again. They hit Flash with a double flapjack and then a dual elbowdrop! Muscles made a cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Flash began his comeback and looked to tag in Oxford. He made it to the corner but Oxford alligator-armed him! Oxford dropped from the apron, leaving both Steve Flash and Katie Cameron to just stare at him. Flash turned -- Atomic Boot! Rushmore made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: The Towers of Power (Via Pinfall @ 6:01; The Towers of Power retain the USPW World Tag Team Titles)

Match Rating: C

[...Shane Sneer slid in the ring along with Robert Oxford. Sneer pulled an envelope from his pocket and paid Robert Oxford! This was a set up all along! Oxford helped the Towers put the boots to Steve Flash! The crowd booed this turn as Oxford dropped Flash with a DDT! Oxford raised his arms beside Shane Sneer and the crowd booed even more! What an evil turn!]

[The big video screen lit up and the crowd booed...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg

[...The Hard Corps stood there within the interview area...]

Eric Tyler

"Chris Caulfield, you think we're gonna be done after tonight? We're not even close to being done with you. We're not gonna be done until you run from USPW with your tail between your legs and you admit that you're not hardcore. We are Hard Corps! Shawn and I and others that are here in USPW that are on our side. I can tell you this, Chris, you will never see it coming. Watch your back, Hardcore American."

[...Eric pats Shawn on the shoulder and they walk off.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TysonBaine.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

Tyson Baine vs. Bruce The Giant

[The crowd rose and booed as 'Highway To Hell' by AC/DC came through the speakers within the arena. Tyson Baine stepped through the curtain and ignored the fans as they booed him. Baine stepped out to the ring and stepped over the top rope to enter the ring! The music cut and...

'With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound

He pulls the spitting high tension wires down

Helpless people on a subway train

Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down

As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town'

'Godzilla' by The Blue Oyster Cult began to play and Bruce The Giant walked out from the back. He rose his arm to cheers from the crowd as he walked slowly down to the ring. Like Tyson Baine, he stepped over the top rope to get in the ring and he came chest-to-chest with Tyson Baine in the center of the ring as the bell sounded...]

[...These two have pretty good chemistry inside the ring and it showed. They started out giving each other shoulderblocks to see who could knock down the other and the lack of selling was obvious from the start as neither man knocked down the other. Baine ducked a clothesline from Bruce and bounced off the ropes hitting a big boot! Unlike the last match between these two, it was mostly dominated by Tyson Baine. Baine went to work on the knee of Bruce, bringing him down to the mat. He hit a big legdrop on the throat of Bruce The Giant! Baine showed what made him a huge signing for USPW as someone who can compete with Bruce The Giant. Late in the match, Tyson grabbed the throat of Bruce The Giant! The crowd was in awe as Tyson Baine lifted Bruce The Giant -- Hades Bomb! How in the world did he hit that??? Baine made the cover, hooking the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Tyson Baine (Via Pinfall @ 5:48)

Match Rating: C+

[...Tyson Baine walks away with this victory but he left the ring and grabbed a chair, sliding back in the ring! He smacked Bruce in the chest with the chair over and over until security came down to break things up! What a brutal attack by Tyson Baine!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/EricTyler.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

Shawn Gonzalez vs. Chris Caulfield

['You gotta keep 'em seperated!'

'Come Out And Play' by The Offspring begins to play as the crowd rises to their feet, shouting their dislike for this new Hard Corps Revolution! Eric Tyler leads Shawn Gonzalez out from the curtain and Shawn yells at a fan in the front row as he walks down toward the ring. Eric gives him a pat on the shoulder and they keep going. Eric and Shawn enter the ring and Shawn goes over to his corner sitting in the corner and staring at the entrance ramp as Eric Tyler gives him some advice.

'Born down in a dead man's town

The first kick I took was when I hit the ground

You end up like a dog that's been beat too much

Till you spend half your life just covering up'

'Born In The USA' by Bruce Springsteen has the crowd on their feet! They sing along with the music as it continues on and 'The Hardcore American' Chris Caulfield steps through the curtain. He raises his arms to cheers from the crowd and limps down to the ring. Gonzalez pulls himself up and as soon as Caulfield enters the ring, he's on him!...]

[...Punches are exchanged by both men, trying to get any advantage that they can -- headbutt by Caulfield! The headbutt busts open the wound he made earlier and Caulfield can feel his blood coming down! Major clothesline from Caulfield brings down Gonzalez! Caulfield extends his arms out in a cross, shouting to the world before he drops down and begins throwing punches to the head of Gonzalez! Gonzalez tries to cover up but Caulfield isn't having any of it! Referee Baby Jamie steps in, grabbing Caulfield for long enough for Gonzalez to get out of the ring. Eric Tyler goes over to check on his wrestler. They discuss something -- baseball slide kick by Caulfield! His feet hit both of them and down they go! Caulfield slides out of the ring as well and grabs Gonzalez -- WHAM! Head-first against the guardrail! He holds onto Gonzalez and runs him right into the ring post as well! Gonzalez is busted open! Caulfield sends Gonzalez back in the ring and follows him inside...]

[...Gonzalez sends a shot to the knee of the Hardcore American and Caulfield goes down. Gonzalez pulls himself up and begins stomping away at the knee of Caulfield as Caulfield reaches down to hold his knee and try to block some of the incoming shots. Gonzalez removes the knee brace that Caulfield has on and drops an elbow to the knee! The crowd boos these shots but Gonzalez isn't paying them a lick of attention. Gonzalez picks up Caulfield and tosses him outside the ring. Gonzalez distracts the official as Eric Tyler comes over and puts in his own stomps on the knee of Caulfield! Eric Tyler grabs an official Jim Force action figure from a fan in the front row and hits Caulfield in the knee with it! Tyler and Gonzalez back off and referee Baby Jamie begins the count. At around 3, Caulfield reaches out to the guardrail to pull himself up. At 6, Caulfield gets up but he can't put any pressure on that knee. At 9, Caulfield slips back in the ring just in time...]

[...At around the 9 minute mark, Caulfield dodges a splash in the corner and trips Gonzalez! He hooks the legs of Gonzalez and lifts him up -- Catapult into the corner! Gonzalez hit his head on the ring post! Both men have lost a lot of blood in this match to say the least. Caulfield holds his knee because that took a lot out of him and it looks like he is tiring out. Caulfield rolls up Gonzalez: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Caulfield uses the ropes to get up, waiting for Gonzalez to do the same -- huge clothesline -- ducked! But Baby Jamie didn't duck! Caulfield took out the referee! Gonzalez kicks Caulfield in the back of the knee! Caulfield slumps down and Eric Tyler slides a chair inside the ring for Gonzalez! Gonzalez picks it up and makes a mock cross with his arm before slamming the chair down on Caulfield's knee! The chair is tossed out of the ring and Gonzalez grabs Caulfield -- Latino Crab! Gonzalez wrenches back on the legs of Caulfield! The crowd boos as Eric Tyler tries to revive the official. Baby Jamie slowly begins to come to -- just as Chris Caulfield begins to tap! The bell sounds and Shawn Gonzalez is gonna steal this one!]

Winner: Shawn Gonzalez (Via Submission @ 11:06)

Match Rating: C+

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BryanHolmes.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma.jpg

USPW World Title Match

30 Minute Ironman Match

Bryan Holmes gets a shot vs. Enygma

['miracle man...your miracle man...your miracle man...your'

'Save Me' by Overkill begins to play through the speakers and the crowd rises up in boos as they know who is coming out. He is the challenger to the USPW World Title. He is Bryan Holmes! Holmes steps out through the curtain and pauses for a moment, looking completely stoic as he walks down toward the ring. He slides inside and loosens up within his corner. He is in for a very long night, 30 minutes inside the ring. His music turns off and the lights dim within the arena. The spotlights begin to shine all over the crowd, searching for that one location where the USPW World Champion is standing.

'You know where you are

You're in the jungle baby

You're gonna die

In the jungle

Welcome to the jungle'

'Welcome To The Jungle' by Guns 'N Roses begins to play and the spotlights form...in the ring?? Holmes looks confused but Enygma is standing right behind him! Enygma turns Holmes around and begins throwing punches to start off the match!...]

[...The masked man hits a few forearm shots and then a clothesline that sends Holmes over the top rope to the outside! Enygma climbs the turnbuckles as Holmes pulls himself up -- Moonsault Press! The Moonsault Press from Enygma connected to the outside! The crowd begins a 'Holy ****' chant! What a move! Enygma moves Holmes toward the guardrail but Holmes with an elbow shot and he sends the masked man face-first against the guardrail! Hard to believe that I can put together a card without any of those four wrestling on it, huh? But I think and hope that I've built up my main event and all enough that I can go without anyone if the situation requires it.

But I can say that all four of them will be on the show, just not wrestling.

Don't agree with BHK's sign at ALL~! but I did copy him. Anyhoo, Giant Redwood sucks!!!

Greg Gauge vs. Jared Johnson

JJ ain't quite ripe yet.

Cherry Bomb vs. April Appleseed

Cannot get into women's wrestling but I like red heads.

Ted Brady vs. Andre Jones

"To be the man you must beat the man" is Jones' new path after going after James. A win here will keep that momentum going.

Darryl Devine vs. Freddie Datsun

Devine's awesome future push stays delayed here.

Shawn Gonzalez and Bryan Holmes vs. Chris Caulfield and ???

Acid SHOULD be the friggin' mystery man! DaVE reunion, man!! (I think)

I smell a draw here, or it could be my cat just pissed on something. Yep, it's the cat. Dammit!
