TEW10 Render Thread

Out of the M2, M3, M4 and whatever else is out there, which ones can you do agers with?

you can do agers with any model that daz puts out as long as you have the face and body morphs for M2 & M3, and as long as you have the morphs++ for M4, once you do and you have injected them, then you go into the parimaters screen and move the dials.

any particular ones that they tend to look better in? i seen a handful of the TEW style but I'm getting curious about the other model types posted in here.

They all work the same with all daz models, I would suggest either M4 or apollo maximus, apollo maximus is free and has the morphs already injected so that might be your best choice, although I'm not sure how well he does with agers, I havent messed with him since M4 came out.

I meant from your post I took it he isn't an M4.

no, i think he is on his first version, the last I checked, The maker was working on a V2 but I havent seen any images of that yet and he started 3 years ago

I probably wasn't as clear as I should have been. I can do wrist tape by tweaking things like you and Self said. In my mind I was thinking taped hands (like Punk/HHH) but put down wrist tape. I've tried doing as the bolded says, I'm just not that good at doing it yet lol.

I have a few bits and pieces I use on arms, usually from various fantasy outfits. Bracers. Gauntlets. Then I try different textures and see what happens. The closest I've come to 'taped fists' is from the 'Nagase Hiro 4' set. Bit chunkier than what I think you're after though.

I like this. makes me wonder why the feature hasn't been taken advantage of yet.

Well, the aging morphs are taken advantage of a lot when dealing with older and younger characters, but as for why people don't do multiple versions of each character with different ages... Partly I think it's because a lot of people render for mods, and Agers are fluff. Very low priority. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but my games usually don't go much longer than 2 years. I don't have the need for Agers in my games, therefore I'm not compelled to make them.

That being said, I'm open to making some for my renders, but it's going to be a supply & demand thing. If C-Verse '77 use one of my pictures, and C-Verse '97 want to have the same character around as a veteran, I'll whip one up with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. I'm not going to do it for every character though. I don't see much point.

I thought I might as well ask the experts...has anyone had any experience with Runtime DNA (http://www.runtimedna.com)? Can you pay by paypal? Thanks in advance :D

I've got a couple of their figures, paid by debit card so not sure about paypal.

If you are using Daz then be prepared for A LOT of messing around with material settings to get good results. Some of the things renders I've seen of their figures done in poser are very impressive, but have never had the pleasure of trying for myself.

So yeah, if you know the program then they are good for Daz :D

Thanks for responding Blasphemy. Well, I started on Wednesday so I can just about manage to open the program up and then I'm done :p

To be honest, I was drawn in by the sale, although I didn't look too hard as to whether anything would actually be useful.

But while I'm here I might as well embarrass myself....

As you can tell, I had no hair and no clothes at the time - in Daz...tsk! But it's the most acceptable pose I've managed so at least there's that!

Thats very very good. If I managed a render like that having just started 3 days ago then I'd be very pleased with myself. In fact if I done one like that now I'd be very pleased with myself

Thanks blasphemy, though I'm a long way short of the standard this thread has got to!

Here's the latest, and also my favourite, render so far - complete with cheesy pose it's...Marshall Dillon!

Just a quick question, it may be hard to answer.

Seeing the renders done, obviously there are some that are far more detailed, and I know there is a learning curve. But..

I am contemplating getting Daz, and trying my hand at renders. Is there a huge learning curve? I know there is the practice makes better deal going on, but, it is really complex to start creating renders right off the bat? I mean after figuring out what I'm supposed to do. I'm sure y'all know what I mean.
