TEW10 Render Thread

Recommended Posts

Ya know... I have a request. Can someone give me two settings for DAZ renders? I mean, show it with pic or something, or just write it down, whichever is easier.

I can't seem to get a few of the daz things to work in Poser lately, and I have all my stuff scattered (read that as pretty much a bad thing to do) as well as runtimes and such in different locations. Makes it easier to find what I'm looking for sometimes, but makes it a pain in the long run to get things to work right with the newer DAZ stuff.

IF not, I guess I can try to save something in a folder that Poser might be able to read.

Thanks in advance if you can:)

Maybe allowing render suggestions would be better than requests :) Rather than 'could you do this...' more like 'have you though about trying...' as requested can get a bit heavy.

Note: I am not one of the amazing render artist and my opinion doesn't count and probably should be ignored :)

Naw, pretty much anything given is a suggestion, and I really probably should have said it like that instead of exact settings and what have you.

My thing is Poser, and I am used to that program. Using DAZ isn't exactly like a foreign language, but finding things are a bit easier in poser as I've been using it for years. Daz, hardly at all. I can't save the figure as I'd hoped either. I was hoping to be able to save a pre-injected model to a poser file, so I could open it in Poser, then do my thing there.

Not that I'm looking for a huge amount of data... just simple settings to render with that doesn't take two days to do, but better then the plastic looking stuff I normally get.

Anyways, yeah, suggestions. That sounds better:)

djthe funk chris - That wasn't particularly at your post, (but looking back I can easily see why it would look that way :)) but the discussion of the render request of a whole, as it can get too much like 20 people asking for renders and its too much, if it was just twenty people suggesting the rendrers could do something they could pick and choose what catches there eye. Your request was fine but I meant in the long run if the 'render requests' the renderers have been talking about did go ahead. Sorry for the misunderstanding

No problem, but it still made more sense rewording it the way you suggested (even if it wasn't directed at me).

Update on my progress... I figured out how to get the daz stuff I wanted to work, in Poser, so I guess till I figure out the Daz Studio stuff, I'm back to my normal area of fun.

For anyone that does keep both, uses Vista or Windows 7, etc.. You have to get the stuff away from your programs folder for it to work sometimes. THIS can sound like it's impossible, since you need the executable file for poser, to install the content. What I did was just copy my poser folder of the injection channels into another runtime in my documents area.... actually I copied it on top of my documents area where I have the DAZ stuff, and it worked by adding the runtime to my Poser directory.

Also, you might have to delete your character if you have it set to come up when you start poser, and run a new one without any injections (making sure to inject the stuff that is required for other injections, first).

Now, to add everything onto my models that I have collected (injection wise) and just save it as how I want Poser to Open again.

Lol, lets not get into the whole requesting/suggesting debate again. Besides, it always has been a case of 'pick and choose' pretty much, since there's no obligation there and like the alt thread, some get done, some don't. Besides, I'd rather render something someone actually wants as opposed to something being suggested for no real reason.

Might be able to get into a render request thread. As usual for me, the more obligation I feel, the less likely I am to do something, but if some interesting ideas come about, who knows? I'm running low on ideas myself, and on the cusp of a rendering mood.

This is how I feel as well. The more obliged I feel to do something, the less fun the whole process becomes.

Stumbled upon a wacky Japanese makeup style the other day, and thought I'd give it a go. By the end though, the makeup didn't quite match up with the outfit, so I did a more generic version of this lass.

Cuts will come eventually.

... because my last render recieved such a warm reception, here's another. Whipped together the one on the left, but thought I should include a less fey version for versatility's sake.

Again, cuts when I feel like it. If you're desperate, cut yourself. I'm freely releasing these images into the wild.

Love both Self :) Great look to the second as well, the pink hair, overall different look is pretty safe.

Trell, that guy looks like Austin Creed (Xavier Woods/Consequences Creed) and I'm a huge mark of his so this instantly gets major props from me too.

Good stuff

I don't like doing cuts. I like the idea of making lots of alts of every character, but there's too much fussin' and frettin' over whether I'm too close up or too far away.

Just to not quote the whole render, I'll quote these, love this render especially the two I quoted!

Edit: This so needs a character in the next cornellverse

Getting a little sick of stairing at TEW working on the mod, so I figured I'd do a full body of one of my workers and his wife/manager

was thinking of adding some hair to him but I haven't completely decided yet

Really cool character. I think he's fine without hair. My only nitpicks would be that the facepaint is a bit intricate, mainly the forehead stuff, as though it was carefully stenciled on by expert artists. Also, I'd be tempted to get rid of the seams on the tights.

Overall he looks great though. Top notch.

/nod, or maybe get the white paint to cover his whole head... I don't know. It definately looks good the way it is though, just trying to add to the thought process.

On the seams though, I think maybe making the seams black, or gone would look good, but still like it the way it is.

The biggest reason I quoted Self though, was the idea on the seams. I for some reason thought to myself... That would look awefully cool if part of the pants were black and the design's on the black part were white, dividing it right where the seams are.

However, as Self said, it looks really unique and cool the way it is. The girl looks really great... if not familiar.

<p>Nice Character FullMetal! However, Self has some of the best render's ever made.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Here, I guess could be used as a manager, or celebrity, or whatever you want (all renders I use are free for use by anyone, anyhow). </p><p>
