Let's be honest... who really wants to play as a Japanese promotion in this mod, anyways? What, one out of every 50 people?

True.

For those who have never played Tommy's WOTI on 08 TEW i can tell you you will have fun. Problem is what promotion to play 1st.

Promotional Spotlight #8 - WWF: Attitude

http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/2866/steveaustin2.jpghttp://img297.imageshack.us/img297/2262/therockg.jpghttp://img690.imageshack.us/img690/5716/tripleh.jpg

Bio: World Wrestling Federation Attitude is a promotion at the cutting edge of pop culture, making household names of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, The Rock and dX. With buyrates, attendance and (most importantly) ratings through the roof, this Crash TV promotion is white-hot.

But will Crash TV live up to its name? Will the sex, hardcore wrestling and swerves begin to wear thin? Or will this promotion continue to re-define wrestling for the new millenium?

Major Stars: Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Kane, Ken Shamrock, X-Pac, Rikishi, The Hardyz, The Dudleyz, Christian, Too Cool, Val Venis

Yes, their roster is stacked. But their undercard is ****. Gillberg, Funaki, Albert, Mideon, The Godfather, Gangrel, Mark Henry etc. I also might drop one of their big names depending on if I can get the AI to co-operate (before I gave them Jericho and Angle, the AI would just raid other promotions which I'm trying to prevent initially).

This is the #2 promotion in the world at the beginning of the game.

Good lord, Tommy. Now I have no clue which promotion to be. WWF Classic, WWF Attitude, WWF New Generation, WCW/nWo, and ECW all kick ass. All I can say is that this mod will be epic. Any new guys reading this, take heed - Tommy has been producing spectacular, well thought out and executed mods for years now that rival the work of even D. Boon and his legendary Death of The Territories. EVERYONE who owns a copy of TEW 2010 should be anxiously awaiting this mod.

Promotional Spotlight #9 - Pacific Northwest Wrestling

http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3041/86336660.jpg

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/719/jimmysnuka.jpghttp://img69.imageshack.us/img69/5504/buddyrose.jpghttp://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2659/billyjackhaynes.jpg

Bio: The Pacific Northwest territory (or Portland Wrestling) was one of the most successful and vibrant promotions of the territory era. Run by Herb and later Don Owen from 1925-1992, the promotion fostered stars like Roddy Piper, Billy Jack Haynes and Tom Zenk.

But can it grow from the North West? Or will Portland Wrestling stay a hidden treasure for wrestling fans?

Major Stars: Buddy Rose, Jimmy Snuka, Billy Jack Haynes, Tom Zenk, Adrian Adonis, Matt Borne, Brady Boone, Rip Oliver, 'Easy' Ed Wiskowski, Cocoa Samoa

This is one of the regional promotions in the mod. As you can see, guys like Jimmy Snuka, Tom Zenk and Adrian Adonis who are in much larger feds are also working here. I'm avoiding having workers in two large feds (i.e in WWF Classic and WWF New Gen), but workers can be in a large fed and a small fed.

Hmmm, Christian is in WWF Attitude but there is no mention of the great Edge yet, wonder where he'll turn up or if he's just missing from the major stars list.

i would have thought that Edge would be set as a singles worker maybe in a more modern day wwe.he has won the World Title on a few occasions.but i may be wrong i usually am.

The one thing about Tommy's WOTI that i liked also was that it reminded me of 70's wrestling and early 80s were you would see wrestlers both in big feds and working also in other smaller ones.

Though i wonder in promotion wars how long it will be before the big boys decide they dont wanna share. Also its gonna be fun to see who starts declaring war on who.

Yeah I really dislike the impact that drug habits have on the game so I've scaled them down big time. If Scott Hall has a 75% alcohol habit in other mods it would be a 10% in WOTI2.

Not too sure about the problem with ages? There were a few that were inconsistent but the point of WOTI was that workers are mostly at their 'peak' age unless it doesn't make sense (i.e Stan Stasiak can't be younger than Shawn). If you know of any that were obviously wrong let me know and I'll fix them up.

And the Grizzly Bear is back and has the best sex appeal stat in the game. He also appears in the 'Ric Flair vs A Bear' narrative.

Ric Flair Vs. A Bear = LMFAO! Going back over the ages with a somewhat fine tooth comb and doing the math on most of my favorite wrestlers, i.e. Shane Douglas, Goldberg, Sean O'Haire, and Triple H - I'd say the ages are spot on actually. I just remember alot of chatter from some players about guys like Batista and Boogeyman and how their ages are off based on when they hit their peaks but I guess details are really up to each guy's opinion. Glad to hear the drug habits won't be a problem on guys this year. Just really looking forward to the mod, Tommy! Thanks for keeping us all up to date and of course for all of the work you do.
