NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Ernest Miller & Jose Maximo (champions, with So Cal Val) v Pride of Britain

Even though Miller did not perform to his usual standard, this was a very good opening contest and Miller and Maximo showed some excellent chemistry together in their first outing together as tag team champions following Shane Douglas walking out of TNA while still a champion. Their slick teamwork helped to make fairly easy work out of their British challengers, taking the match in 8:44 when Ernest Miller defeated Pac by pinfall with a Feliner Kick. Miller & Maximo make defence number 1 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. C

Backstage and Jimmy Hart talks up his charges, Sean Waltman and Teddy Hart, saying they are on the cusp of something major in TNA. E+

Desmond Wolfe v EZ Money

In what is hyped as the blowoff match between the two's running rivalry, Wolfe prevailed in a good bout in 12:06 by pinfall with a Tower of London. C-

Dusty Rhodes is backstage with Ken Shamrock. He acknowledges that on Impact last week he should have allowed Ken Shamrock and Jerry Lynn a World Championship opportunity following their time limit draw the previous week so he has signed a three way for the title tonight. Shamrock isn't happy, feeling he deserves the title match himself. Rhodes says that is all he is getting as he didn't beat Lynn, so he can take it or leave it. Shamrock stares at Rhodes before leaving. C-

AK-47 v Keiji Sakoda & Masato Tanaka

A decent enough match where a significant proportion of the American crowd were booing the Americans! Sakoda and Tanaka fed off the perhaps unexpected backing from the fans but were unable to overcome the regular tag team from The Fringe when AK-47 took the match for Team USA II, with the finish in 13:45 when Austin Aries defeated Keiji Sakoda by pinfall with a Brainbuster. C-

CM Punk is threatened Harley Race backstage, for making his life hell for the past couple of months and taking his true focus away from ensuring the New Dawn in TNA continues and TNA is dependant on wrestling and not money and drugs. Abyss comes back and forces Punk to back off. C

'Alpha Male' Monty Brown & Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell v Double X (with Francine)

While Monty Brown was off his game tonight, Frankie Kazarian stank as much as a fart in an elevator. After a hot curry. This led to Rocky Romero becoming frustrated on the ring apron for much of the match and for Buff Bagwell to set up the win before it came in 13:29 when 'Alpha Male' Monty Brown defeated Frankie Kazarian by pinfall with The Pounce. C

Buff Bagwell got the mic after the match and proclaimed Monty and himself as the two sexiest men on the planet, the men with the biggest dicks in TNA and the next tag team champions. Ernest Miller appears on the video screen and is disgusted, calling Bagwell "a sick queer". C-

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels (champion) v Evan Karagias

Karagias tried to bring gold back to New Dawn in a good outing against Daniels. As usual with the X Division there was fast paced, high flying action on show but Daniels' superior technical wrestling saw him through in 12:01 by pinfall with a Last Rites. Christopher Daniels makes defence number 6 of his TNA X Division title. C

Jeff Jarrett appears again on commentary for CM Punk's match and again insults the leader of New Dawn and what he stands for. C-

Air Paris, Bryan Danielson & Mike Sanders v AJ Styles, CM Punk & Mr Wrestling IV

A match full of action as six men tags usually are with no lulls in the action. The faces worked better together than the heels and this reflected in the result in 15:26 when CM Punk defeated Mike Sanders by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge. C

Backstage and Sid Vicious has laid waste to Sean Waltman who is writhing in pain on the concrete floor. At last Sid has gained something resembling the upper hand. E+

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Abyss (champion, with Harley Race) v Jerry Lynn v Ken Shamrock

A reasonable main event that saw each wrestler have his turn on top of the match and defend/claim the championship. The match lacked true excitement though as Abyss retained the belt in 18:25 when Abyss defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall with The Black Hole. Abyss makes defence number 2 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. C

Show rating: C-

The show might hurt TNA's popularity.

A number of angles did not reach the standard of the in ring action.

Profit: $107,096

Impact Preview

Buff 'The Puff' Bagwell is a sick queer. According to Ernest Miller at least when Buff Bagwell claimed that he and Monty Brown have the biggest dicks in TNA. And he claimed they would be the next tag team champions. Is Miller jealous or worried?

Ken Shamrock has been making claims too, that he is the king of old school wrestling. There is no doubting his ability, but Jerry Lynn has been a match for him so far and the two are on the show tonight.

Sid Vicious finally got the upper hand in his ongoing battle against the WWE employees who have appeared in TNA by beating down Sean Waltman on Explosion. Will it be Teddy Hart tonight?

Tune in to find out. Spike TV. Saturday night.
