PRE SHOW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Caprice Coleman defeated Prince Nana in 6:28 by pinfall with a Thermal Shock. C

Impact

Sunday, week 3, March 2005

Broadcast on Monday, week 3, March 2005 on Spike

Nicholson Pavillion, Ellensburg, WA.

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRjo2wnhJd60TA0zGs-GqTBZVy5JCU2EUxK2AZiLaElhbV6o3ZjHg

Dusty Rhodes starts Impact and asks CM Punk to come to the ring. He apologises to Punk for being wrong about Ken Shamrock and that he wasted a valuable month of fighting off the WWE Invasion. Punk ignores the apology and says it is time to refocus, both New Dawn as a group and TNA as a whole.

They get interrupted by Jimmy Hart and D'Lo Brown. They tell Punk and Rhodes if they want a battle they can have one... Lethal Lockdown. Punk picks three men to go with him and Jimmy picks three more along with D'Lo. Punk tells them they're on and Rhodes seals the deal. Jimmy Hart names Ernest Miller and Joel Maximo straight away, but everyone will have to wait until Lethal Lockdown to find out the fourth member. Punk says he will have three others from New Dawn with him. C+

Cameras go backstage where Jeff Hardy bumps into Bryan Danielson. Danielson bores Hardy so Hardy calls him boring, which leads to Danielson challenging him for Lockdown. Hardy readily accepts. C-

AK-47 v Pride of Britain

The opening contest is very well received and much better than many expected it to be. It is the first time in some time that Doug Williams and Pac have teamed up, but they worked well together. They weren't able to overcome their Fringe opponents, who still have the Feast or Fired briefcase in their possession, as AK-47 came out on top in 6:22 when Austin Aries defeated Pac by pinfall with a Brainbuster. C

The Miz and Jerry Lynn are being interviewed by Kevin Kelly backstage, saying how they have defeated all worthwhile competition in TNA and so are the best tag team in wrestling history. Interesting as they have only teamed together once... Anyway, Bumders interrupt Miz's spiel, with Buff saying the 'Big Black Love Muscle' Monty Brown has cheered him up and they are ready to challenge for the titles again. Miz says why not, they can beat the benders again. C-

Mr Wrestling IV is cutting a promo about being TV champion and his match tonight against EZ Money when Harley Race interrupts him. Race says he has a masked monster willing to fight him, at which point Abyss appears and towers menacingly over IV, who does not back down. C

Beer Money v Brits Abroad

'Cowboy' James Storm and Robert Roode team up for the first time against the Brits who have been doing fairly well of late... and the match turned out to be mediocre. Neither team were particularly impressive and the crowd began to lose some interest as the match wore on. The end came with a win for Beer Money in 8:33 when 'Cowboy' James Storm defeated Desmond Wolfe by pinfall with a Drinking While Investing. D+

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0qQSW2p1IvE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

B-

Jimmy Hart and D'Lo Brown are backstage and say that Lethal Lockdown will only be the start of something massive. C

Evan Karagias v Joel Maximo (with Jimmy Hart)

The first small taster for Lethal Lockdown in four weeks and it was a match where Karagias would have won on points, if it weren't for the fact that wrestling isn't decided on points, Jimmy Hart is a scheming, annoying little bastard and Maximo won the match because of cheating. That happened in 9:34 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage during a roll up. C+

Following a commercial, Ken Shamrock is in the ring. Following his victory over CM Punk on Saturday, he demands the World Champion, 'Wildcat' Chris Harris comes to the ring to give him the one on one, no interference World Championship match that he deserves. Harris does come down, along with TNA Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes. Harris agrees to the match, saying this will be the last match he will need to win to prove to everybody he is a champion because he is worthy of being champion. Rhodes ratifies the match, but tells Shamrock he won't get another shot at Harris if he fails to win. C+

Satoshi Kojima is again verbally warring with AJ Styles, accusing the new X Division Champion of "not being man enough to fight". Styles doesn't take this lightly, and they agree to Kojima's rematch being inside the Lockdown cage. C+

TNA TV TITLE

Mr Wrestling IV (champion) v EZ Money

IV put in a disappointing performance in a somewhat lacklustre match. He still had enough quality to see off the challenge of Money in 12:37 by pinfall with a Sudan Elbow Drop. Mr Wrestling IV makes defence number 5 of his TNA TV title. C-

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/K7XTqHbsrdY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Come Easter... there will be a sacrifice. B-

CM Punk v D'Lo Brown (with Jimmy Hart)

The main event was very good and featured the two in ring captains for Lethal Lockdown. Punk has his focus back on the WWE Invasion, and on the evidence of this performance if he can rally his troops back behind his cause then they will stand a very good chance. Brown performed well but succumbed to a focused and determined Punk in 20:11 by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge. B-

Show rating: C

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

Some of the angles did not reach the standard of the in ring action.

congrats on the powerful returns from the last ppv.

I think it would be interesting to see Harris defend the world title against the former X champion, Kojima. If they have any chemistry at all, they could have an excellent match,

With Adam Copeland just leaving WWE, he could be a good addition to the Invaders - just saying

PRE SHOW

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Vampiro defeated Alex Shelley in 5:41 by pinfall with a Vampiro Spike. D+

Impact

Sunday, week 4, March 2005

Broadcast on Monday, week 4, March 2005 on Spike

Alumni Arena, Savannah, GA.

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTStEMwtTW9LBPXYhDtEATMK_-J7kh5D8uOVAIQDFK5EGg0mehH

Ken Shamrock opens Impact by talking about his Lockdown championship match against 'Wildcat' Chris Harris. Shamrock is happy that finally he will get a one on one match without any outside interference and he will take this chance to become a three time TNA World Champion. B-

Dusty Rhodes is backstage with Roderick Strong and Rocky Romero. He tells Double R that two of their opponents tonight will also be their opponents at Lockdown, where they will face the FBI. B

Prince Nana v The Amazing Red

The opening match was fairly short and lacked spark with Red dominating and taking it in 5:19 by pinfall with a Code Red. D+

Latin American Exchange are backstage where they say they have been put into a match at Lockdown against Brits Abroad. They are happy with this as they like kicking foreign ass. C

CM Punk is in the New Dawn locker room with Caprice Coleman and Evan Karagias. Punk gives them a pep talk, saying he needs his men more than ever. Coleman and Karagias both say they won't let him down and they are there for him. C

Beer Money & Double R v Full Blooded Italians & Pride of Britain

With the respective teams meeting at Lockdown, it was expected this would be a wild match but it wasn't, it was controlled and had some good wrestling action. All four teams had their time to showcase their wares but at the business end it was the heels that took the spoils in 7:20 when 'Cowboy' James Storm defeated Doug Williams by pinfall with a Top Rope Bulldog. C-

Jimmy Hart, D'Lo Brown and Joel Maximo speak from backstage and say that Lethal Lockdown will be the end of the road for New Dawn and the beginning of WWE rule in TNA. C

Bryan Danielson says he thought that Jeff Hardy's opinion of him being boring last week was insulting. So he insults Jeff Hardy calling him "a waster". C+

Air Paris v Billy Kidman

A very good match where both the recently returned Paris and the debuting Kidman looked impressive. The match was even throughout and Paris was the one who came up trumps in 9:57 by pinfall with a Moonsault Press. C+

Bumders cut a promo on the Tag Team Championship match at Lockdown against WWE Invaders. Buff also talks about his recovery from depression, saying he is well on the road and has his 'Big Black Love Muscle' Monty Brown to thank for that. C-

Mike Sanders has some choice words for Dusty Rhodes saying he is angered The Fringe have been left off the Lockdown card. Rhodes says there is a reason, that The Fringe are on the fringe and they need to make themselves noticed to be given opportunities. C+

TNA TV TITLE

Mr Wrestling IV (champion) v 'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels

Some great action and interested from the crowd, and despite underperforming the champion was able to overcome the challenger in 11:32 by pinfall with a Sudan Elbow Drop. Mr Wrestling IV makes defence number 6 of his TNA TV title. C

After the match Harley Race comes to the ring with his monster Abyss. Race berates IV as Abyss towers over the TV champion. IV doesn't back down but is wary. C+

The dark promo that was shown last week saying Come Easter... there will be a sacrifice is repeated. B-

'Wildcat' Chris Harris (World Champion) & AJ Styles (X Division Champion) v Ken Shamrock & Satoshi Kojima

A hot crowd saw some great action though the overall feeling of the whole match was a slight disappointment. All four men had spells of ascendency but Jack Doan, newly signed from WWE had no choice to throw the match out in 22:57 following a double disqualification as all four men were fighting in the ring, and started pushing Doan when he tried to regain control. C

Little Guido v Rocky Romero

Despite the two not clicking in the ring, this was a classy match which featured some great action and perhaps unexpectantly, a hot and boisterous crowd. They were firmly behind Guido but were left venting their anger at Romero who cheated his way to victory in 8:16 by submission with a Diablo Armbar. C+

CM Punk speaks out about Lethal Lockdown, saying that New Dawn are pulling back together and are rising to fight for TNA and will finally rid the WWE Invasion once and for all. C+

Air Paris v The Amazing Red

A match that set the standard even higher for the evening and Paris has certainly found his stride after his long injury layoff. The match was an aerial feast and ended with victory for Paris, unlike when Germany took them on, in 11:26 by pinfall with a Moonsault Press. B-

Mr Wrestling IV is in the ring and calls out Abyss and tells him to leave his master, Harley Race in the back. Abyss obliges and stands in front of IV, who does not back down despite the significant size difference. He tells Abyss he is looking forward to the cage at Lockdown as the bigger they are, the harder they fall and should Abyss win, he may even deserve a TV Title match. IV leaves while Abyss just stares at him. C-

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

WWE Invasion (champions, with Jimmy Hart) v Johnny Kashmere & Keiji Sakoda

A good match that despite a cooling crowd following the first two quality matches, ended earlier than it should have done. The end saw the champions retain in 10:12 when Jerry Lynn defeated Johnny Kashmere by pinfall with a Cradle Piledriver. WWE Invaders make defence number 5 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. C

Satoshi Kojima cuts a promo saying that in the Lockdown cage, he will fight and he will take back his X Division Championship. C+

Jeff Hardy v Steve Corino

An awkward looking match that did feature some great spots, Corino managed to have the better of Hardy for most of the match and this earned him a somewhat surprising win in 13:21 by pinfall with an Old School Expulsion. C-

Ken Shamrock tells 'Wildcat' Chris Harris that three times is a charm and Lockdown will see Shamrock win his third TNA World Championship. C-

Bryan Danielson v Evan Karagias

Back to the great action seen early in the night as Danielson and Karagias put on a technical/speed masterclass that is one of TNA's best. Danielson edged a close encounter in 14:30 by submission with an Arms Across America. B-

A strange yet familiar voice speaks over a dark video that says that TNA will see a sacrifice this Easter. C+

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

'Wildcat' Chris Harris (champion) v 'Cowboy' James Storm v Robert Roode

As expected, Beer Money turned this title match into a two on one affair and Harris for much of the match had to deal with two on one situations. Harris might have won the championship by cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase, but he fully deserves to still be champion more than three months later and showed this with a gutsy performance in front of Ken Shamrock who appeared on the stage and sat to watch the match. A match that saw him overcome both his old partner and new rivals. His victory came in 17:34 when 'Wildcat' Chris Harris defeated 'Cowboy' James Storm by pinfall with a Catatonic. 'Wildcat' Chris Harris makes defence number 8 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. He didn't get chance to celebrate though as Beer Money beat him down afterwards, which saw Shamrock smile then leave. C

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles (champion) v Jorge Estrada

Estrada won number one contendership at Ultimate X and he proved a stern test for Styles in a very good main event, though it did drift in places. AJ overcame Estrada's stiff test and made a first successful defence in 22:27 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. AJ Styles makes defence number 1 of his TNA X Division title. B-

Dusty Rhodes is in the ring with a table and two chairs laid out in front of him... yes it's contract signing time again. Ken Shamrock and the World Heavyweight Champion, 'Wildcat' Chris Harris make their way to the ring.

Dusty reminds everybody that this is Ken Shamrock's third attempt at winning his third World Championship from Chris Harris and that if Shamrock does not get the job done this time, he will not get a fourth chance at Harris. Both men are eager to sign the contract before they both say that they will win at Lockdown and prove they are the better man when it comes to one on one. Unusually for such public contract signings, it passes off peacefully. C

Backstage and CM Punk tells Jose Maximo he is the fourth member of the New Dawn team for Lethal Lockdown. Maximo is delighted and tells Punk that he won't let him or TNA down. C+

Latin American Exchange v The Young Bucks

An acceptable opening contest that was quite short and saw LAX largely dominate the Bucks. The win became more a formality and came in 5:49 when Hernandez defeated Matt Buck by pinfall with a Border Toss. D+

Following the match, Estrada grabs a mic and tells Brits Abroad they will go the same way as the punk Bucks at Lockdown. C+

Kevin Kelly is backstage with Bryan Danielson who is determind to teach Jeff Hardy a lesson at Lockdown as he has called a true wrestling buff "boring". C

'Cowboy' James Storm & Roderick Strong v Doug Williams & Tony Mamaluke

The wrestling version of swinging as we have partner swap as one half of Beer Money and Double R team up against half of Pride of Britain and Full Blooded Italians. Storm and Strong teamed up better than their opponents and went on to take the spoils in 8:22 when 'Cowboy' James Storm defeated Tony Mamaluke by pinfall with a Last Call. Good match. C

Mike Sanders has assembled all members of The Fringe backstage. He gives them a big pep talk, telling them all they need to assert themselves in TNA and make themselves a permanent name as they have been pushed up and then back again far too many times. C-

'Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels v The Amazing Red

A very good match but a bit of a cold crowd saw Red come out on top of a close contest. He managed to wriggle out of Daniels attempt at an Angels Wings before finishing it off in 10:32 by pinfall with a Code Red. C

Jimmy Hart and Joel Maximo laugh at CM Punk's decision to pick Jose Maximo for the New Dawn team. They say their task has got a lot easier and Punk is in for a big shock at Lethal Lockdown when they finally find out who the fourth WWE Invader is. C

The show returns from a commercial and AJ Styles and Satoshi Kojima are engaging in a wild brawl, going at in the crowd, attacking each other near the seats and the concession stands. B

Caprice Coleman v D'Lo Brown (with Jimmy Hart)

Despite the two not gelling together in the ring, the bout did feature some great action. D'Lo treated Coleman with contempt in the early going but this nearly cost him as Coleman nearly got a couple of quick falls. D'Lo got agitated by this but Jimmy Hart calmed him down and got him to gain some focus. After that, D'Lo was a little bit too good for Coleman and got the win in 13:54 by pinfall with a Low Down. C

Another dark video plays. A dark, yet familiar sounding voice says that TNA will see a sacrifice this coming Easter weekend. Visually, a shaved headed, vaguely familiar figure is seen working a guillotine, hanging somebody and nailing somebody to a cross. It is sinister and frankly disturbing. B-

TNA TV TITLE

Mr Wrestling IV (champion) v Steve Corino

A reasonable main event that probably should have been better though it did feature some good action. IV got on top, only for both Abyss and Harley Race to make an appearance and distract the champion. This allowed Corino to gain the advantage and got a few close falls as a result. IV battled back to retain the title in 21:14 by pinfall after using a roll up. Mr Wrestling IV makes defence number 7 of his TNA TV title. C

Show rating: C

The show can be considered a success and should increase TNA's popularity.

Attendance: 3506

Loss: $49,871

The prize is a mystery prize. The reason for this is if I reveal what I want the prize to be, it's going to spoiler what will happen at Lockdown and immediately afterwards.

The winner will be PM'd the prize after Lockdown. If there is a tie there will be a tie breaker on the first Impact after Lockdown.
