Around 2002 I'd offered the owner a new belt for the main title (with possible new belts for the rest) and this is the Beltenstein I'd sent him. Also, out of curiosity, full metal - how long did it take to fill in the NWA belt, that looks pretty complicated, and turned out nice (I also noticed the new strap texture, looks good).</p><p> </p><p> Also I hope to be back up and running before the end of the year, currently figuring out what I want in a computer and will probably buy it in Nov. fullMETAL Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Oh, I used a custom set of shapes (from the Stella Artois logo, in fact) that I rotated to approximate the originals. I wasn't about to break my back (hand) trying to trace/fill in the original ones, especially when it was going to be scaled down so much. I then made the silver part using a simple bg (default Sandpaper) that was filtered like the rest of the metal. Thanks for noticing the strap, I figured to make a "special" one (default Crosshatching pattern on Sandpaper) for the original BG concept rather than my usual (Sandpaper/Grain combo). The color one doesn't do much for me everything is too bright and looks like it was taken out of a coloring book or something. Nicely done and all just I prefer the second one it looks a bit more "realistic". Has nothing to do with the color just the brightness of them I guess. Anyway you seem to be on a good roll lately. Hoping I might be able to get back into belt-making, especially since I think I'd like to try something other than the Submission title chase for a while... Maybe a new company. Thinking I'd go with something with funny rules like the Submission title but different. Maybe a 1-count WHC with no closed-handed blows? I dunno. That's what I was thinking. That penny a page back looks great, METAL. EDIT: Good news: Have a belt idea. Have a promotion idea. It's all coming together quite nicely. Bad news which is kinda good news: I wanted to try to record it since I never did get around to finishing that tutorial for Illustrator that I started with the IWGP belt I did like a bajillion years ago.
