SWF: Conquering The World

Recommended Posts

This diary is great! I only wish it would be updated more often, but it is worth the wait. Keep up the good work! :D

Hey, I'll admit I've had a busy week, but before then I thought the pace was pretty good :D

Nonetheless appreciate the sentiment and glad you're enjoying it! The earliest the show will be up is this time tomorrow if I wake up in a state of hungover GDS-nirvana whereby I can't do anything actually productive but don't want to do nothing at all, beyond that it'll definitely be done during the week once an essay's handed in and all that other nonsense. Then the easter break, in which I hope to be nothing short of prolific :o

No worries, mate! I understand that writing up these kind of shows takes some time. But, you know.. You give people something they like, they're going to want more! ;)

Seriously, this is good stuff! Can't wait for the show! :D

Now I'd better stop this before you develop an ego and become a backstage poison..

Given that I've got friends at the same Uni as you who are home, you must now be on Easter break too by my logic. Where's this prolific show posting you mentioned? :p

None that I can think of...:o

2. If SWF introduced a new championship or brought back an old one, what would you like to see?

I would like to see a floating title. Not sure what to call said title but I always have one in the SWF due to the roster size.

3. Which of the following things would you like to see more of: Managers, factions, tag teams, females, Everest?

Well I personally hate Everest so I would never want to see more of him. I got to say tag teams.

Live from Alabama Field Row, South East

Attendance: 30,000 (SELL OUT!)

Sunday Week Two September 2010

It's Peter Michaels, Ana Garcia and Carl Batch in the announce booth as a unit for the first time as the show kicks off, with video packages hyping the star-studded tag match and huge main event followed by the entrance of Lobster Warrior, a sure fire way to bring the crowd to life as he runs in from amongst his loyal followers, ready for the opening match. The Biggz Boyz and the bigger boys make their entrances, and off we go.

LOBSTER WARRIOR & THE BIGGZ BOYZ vs. MARAT KHOKLOV & THE DEADLY SINS

The opener really warms up the crowd as Bart, Brett and Lobby find themselves overpowered by two of their opponents before John Greed finally gets in on the action and slowly picks apart Brett, screaming at him about his unrighteous lifestyle in the process. But Brett breaks free and gets the tag to his brother, who sends Greed flying and hits Khoklov, who is on the apron! Unperturbed, Khoklov enters the ring and grabs Brett by the throat, but here comes Lobby! He hits him once, twice – he’s reeling – and now he’s out of the ring! The two men continue to brawl on the outside but unbeknownst to Bart, Greed has tagged in Atlas. Bart turns around, and gets nailed with a huge powerbomb! One, two, three!

Winners: Marat Khoklov & The Deadly Sins in 13:43

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_RobbieRetrocopy.jpg

The music of Robbie Retro hits, and the king of the disco scene makes an energetic entrance, with the fans moving along with him. He joins Michaels, Garcia and Batch at the announce table, ready to commentate on the next match. Joe Sexy then arrives, acknowledging Retro with a cool click-of-the-fingers-point-sort-of-thing and a wink, but Angry Gilmore is much less enamoured with Retro’s presence, moaning at the referee, who ignores him and calls for the bell.

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_JoeSexycopy.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_VS2.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_AngryGilmorecopy.jpg

JOE SEXY VS. ANGRY GILMORE

The former partners clearly know each other’s styles well, and Gilmore’s smugness at countering Sexy’s early lock-ups soon turns to dismay as Sexy comes up with some surprising reversals of his own. Gilmore’s frustration builds throughout the match and as the brawl spills to the outside, he takes issue with Retro, who keeps on running his mouth as Gilmore squares up to him, but Sexy drags him away and back into the ring. Gilmore gains the upper hand, keeping Joe on the ground and nailing a deadly-sounding Shining Wizard before turning to gloat at the guest announcer, only to turn around right into a big, nay, a huge boot! Sexy clears his head of the prior blow and takes Gilmore out for a One…Night…Stand! He’s flat out in the middle of the ring and yes, that’s all she wrote!

Winner: Joe Sexy in 11:12

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_bplus.jpg

Sexy is soon joined by Retro in his celebrations, and some dancing ensues as Gilmore slowly wakes up in his own personal hell, recoiling in horror at the scene before him and heading backstage in a flash as the other two continue to play to the fans.

Backstage, Jerry Eisen is standing by with none other than the Dark Destroyer, Steve Frehley! He quizzes Frehley about his tag-team match tonight and the prospect of teaming up with his enigmatic former nemesis Skull DeBones, who deserted him as recently as Xtreme TV on Friday and hasn’t been seen since. Frehley says he doesn’t care whether Skull shows his face tonight or not, he’s going to beat the hell out of Brandon James and Remo either way. Jerry doesn’t dare suggest that this might be more difficult than it sounds, and Steve doesn’t give him a chance, storming off the moment he finishes his sentence.

Big Smack Scott enters alone, goading the crowd until Gregory Black’s music hits and the North American champ appears atop the stage full of energy, only to get clubbed from behind – it’s AMU! Scott suddenly leaves the ring and rushes back up the ramp as AMU delivers some devastating kicks, and Scott adds to the beating with some big right hands. They continue to lay into the champion and force him towards the ring, before tossing him inside and demanding the referee start the match. With Black on the floor and struggling to move, the bell rings!

SWF NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP

GREGORY BLACK VS. BIG SMACK SCOTT

Scott instantly goes for the cover – one, two, no! Black kicks out! There’s life in him yet but Scott continues the beating, before signalling for the Big Smack Shuffle! He taunts the barely conscious champion, rebounds from the ropes on both sides, but suddenly the crowd roar! Scott stops in his tracks and sees a face-painted blur storming down the ramp…

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_theman.jpg

It’s American Machine! Looking like a man possessed the powerhouse bulldozes his way through the resistance of AMU, stopping just before the ring to staredown the man who beat him so violently on the first edition of Xtreme TV. Scott hesitates, and before he can make up his mind, he’s rolled up from behind! One two three, Black retains!

Winner: Gregory Black in 9:21

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_cplus.jpg

Machine and Black stand tall in the ring as Scott reels and AMU helps him back up the ramp, with a video hyping up the next SWF pay per view: Eye Of The Storm. A clip then plays of Jungle Lord attacking Eric Eisen a week ago, and Eric arrives looking very pissed off. He’s made to wait several seconds, and then the thunderous theme of Furious Fusion kicks in. Out comes Jungle Lord, never still for a moment, moving around atop the ramp and then running to the ring, gazing around the arena with a cautious, perhaps even suspicious stare. He quickly focuses when the bell rings.

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_JungleJackcopy.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_VS2.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_EricEisen_alt5-2copy.jpg

JUNGLE LORD VS. ERIC EISEN

The frenzied style of the Furious Fusion member leaves Eisen reeling early on and he escapes the ring to recuperate, before luring Lord into a trap and dragging him out along with him. He continues to outsmart his foe within the rules for much of the match, but Lord’s wild offence keeps coming back, and it is he who leaves the ring, shoves an official aside and grabs a steel chair, before sliding back into the ring with the weapon in hand. The referee quickly intervenes and snatches it from his grasp before taking a moment to dispose of it, and the momentary distraction sees Eisen strike with a low blow! He rolls Lord up and the ref turns around to make the count, and give him the victory!

Winner: Eric Eisen in 16:32

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_bminus.jpg

Eisen’s music plays but he doesn’t celebrate, instead simply looking down at the fallen Lord and hesitating, before quickly leaving the ring and heading to the back, shaking his head and talking to himself the whole way. Out next are the tag team champions…

THE SHINING KNIGHTS VS. MOUNTAINS OF PAIN

M.O.P. go about their business as usual, with Laramee doing most of the work until Everest gets in on the act and really slows things down. But Turner fights back, getting the hot tag to Jack as Laramee comes back into the fray, and Giedroyc is on fire, knocking the King of the Streets down twice and sending Everest to the floor from the apron as well. But after slowly getting to his feet, the behemoth heads straight for Dawn, lifting her up as she protests! But before he can do whatever malevolent deed he had in mind, Turner is around the corner in a flash, and he sends him crashing down, leaving Dawn to land rather unceremoniously herself. Meanwhile, Laramee is distracted by the carnage and when he turns around, Giedroyc hits the Crashing On for the victory and the title defence.

Winners: The Shining Knights in 7:10

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_cplus.jpg

Backstage, Eric Eisen is seen pacing furiously down a corridor, when his brother Jerry approaches, microphone in hand.

Jerry: Eric, can I get some thoughts on your victory over Jungle Lord here tonight, another good night for the Eisen family?

Eric stops dead in his tracks, staring at the floor and tensing up, before speaking with a raised voice, his face right in his brother’s.

Eric: You call that a victory, bro? You call this a great night for the Eisens? Oh, I bet you’ve had a brilliant night, haven’t you, running around here with your little microphone asking everybody how they’re feeling!

Jerry: Eric, I just –

Eric: SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

Eric grabs him by the scruff of the neck, and Jerry trembles, averting his gaze. Satisfied by Jerry’s silence, Eric continues much more quietly, almost at a whisper.

Eric: Jerry, I’m not like you. I’m not happy with mediocrity. Yes, I beat Jungle Lord, but did you see how? A low freakin’ blow! What does that prove, huh?! Give me one thing that that tells anybody!

Jerry continues to look everywhere except his brother’s eyes, which remain fixed just inches away from his face. He gulps, waiting a long time before feeling safe enough to talk, and even as he speaks his eyes fill with dread at the potential consequences.

Jerry: I dunno, uh…maybe just that Christian Faith –

Eric instantly strikes him with a right hand, knocking him straight to the floor, and begins kicking him in the back while screaming in between heavy breaths.

Eric: DO NOT…MENTION…THAT MAN’S…NAME!

Nearby staff members rush to the scene and force drag Eric away, but the screaming continues.

Eric: YOU HEAR ME?! TONIGHT PROVED NOTHING! NOTHING!

The scene fades back to ringside, where Brandon James and Emma Chase make their entrance, followed by Remo. Steve Frehley comes out, and after a lengthy wait, Emma Chase gets on the microphone, urging Skull DeBones to crawl out from the shadows. More seconds pass, and finally, he does, in typically theatrical fashion. When he reaches the ring, Chase continues, saying that she has an announcement: This match will now have no disqualifications! The crowd pop, Frehley smiles, Skull’s expression remains blank, and meanwhile Brandon and Remo on either side of Chase ask her what the hell she’s thinking. But she stares straight ahead at their opponents with a smile, and the bell ringing forces them into the ring.

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_steve.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_SkullDeBones_jhd4copy.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_VS2.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_BigCatbrandonstraightcopy.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_Remo_jhd4copy.jpg

STEVE FREHLEY & SKULL DEBONES VS. BRANDON JAMES & REMO

After some dispute, Remo gets in the ring to start the match, while in the other corner, Frehley’s attempt at verbal reasoning falls on deaf ears as Skull simply does not move, and the Dark Destroyer reluctantly backs away to let his partner start the match. The stipulation sees it inevitably descend into chaos soon enough, with Chase providing her client’s ally a steel chair, of which he is quickly dispossessed. Frehley and Brandon end up brawling on the outside around the announce tables as the legal men continue their struggle over the weapon. Punishment is dished out by and to all four men until finally, Frehley gets a tag and looks set to finish things off. He hoists Remo onto his shoulders for Frehley’s Comet…but before he can deliver the move, the bell tolls…

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_MaratKhoklovcopy.jpg

It can only mean one man. The beast from the east has arrived! Marat Khoklov heads to the ring at a frightening speed and as met atop the ramp by Emma Chase, who watches with glee as he strides over the top rope and fends off Frehley’s initial attack, before striking him down with a brutal Moscow Lariat! Brandon and Skull continue to brawl outside the ring as Remo, having escaped Frehley’s shoulders, looks up at the giant and hesitantly makes the cover on his enduring rival. Khoklov stands above them as the referee counts the pinfall!

Winners: Brandon James and Remo in 13:32

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_b.jpg

Remo’s music hits and he stands up, right in front of Khoklov, not backing down, as outside the ring Brandon gets the better of DeBones and looks up, confused. Emma Chase grabs a microphone and introduces the world to her newest client, Marat Khoklov! The monster raises his arms and roars at the mention of his name, and Remo slowly backs away and paces back up the ramp alone, leaving Brandon and Khoklov by Emma’s side, Brandon staring up at his new-found ally, at first confused but slowly nodding enthusiastically as he takes in what it means.

Chase raises both men’s arms, with Michaels, Garcia and Batch wondering what the hell this means for the rest of SWF, before moving on to the main event. A video package plays hyping these men’s storied history, and soon enough, they’re in the ring staring each other down and ready to vent nine month’s worth frustrations.

SWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_beard.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_VS2.jpghttp://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_JackBruce_FINcopy-1.jpg

RICH MONEY VS. JACK BRUCE

The match begins at a frenetic pace, quickly spilling to the outside, then back in, then back out, with both men giving as good as they get. But it’s Money who looks set to come out on top, nailing a big Money in the Bank and going up top, ready for Dollars From Heaven! In his desperation, Bruce grabs the referee, shoving him into the ropes and knocking Money off balance! The ref has no choice but to call for a disqualification!

Winner: Rich Money by DQ in 12:34

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_grade_bplus.jpg

Nobody seems happy with such a cheap finish, with the referee in Bruce’s face shouting at him and Money hung up on the ropes having being fully deprived the closure he desired, but Bruce seems oblivious to it all, instead looking towards the entrance ramp and waving wildly, beckoning somebody towards him. And after a few moments, it becomes clear why, as two huge men appear atop the ramp, wearing tinted shades, black t-shirts, jeans and shiny black shoes, their sheer size provoking a collective gasp around the arena as Money recuperates and grabs his title belt.

http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx23/JCW1989_2010/th_prim.jpg

A tired Bruce simply shouts “get him” and points vaguely at the champ as Money slowly sees the two men coming at him, one going round each side of the ring. He takes up a defensive stance and they soon set upon him. He puts up a huge fight, fending them off repeatedly, but it’s Bruce who makes the difference as he comes outside the ring and delivers a fatal blow. From then on Money is unable to resist, and one of the huge men produces a pair of handcuffs, provoking another big reaction from the audience as they further restrain the champion.

They begin to drag the powerless Money backstage, with Bruce looking around and yelling that this is somehow all the crowd’s fault, and they disappear behind the curtain, where after a few seconds the cameras are able to join them. They continue on their way through crowded areas with Bruce barking out demands that people clear the way, and soon enough are in the parking lot, where a limousine is ready and waiting. A door is opened, one huge man enters, then Money meets Bruce with a deathly stare before his head is forced down and into the vehicle by the other one. Bruce lets out a yelp of delight and enters through a different door, and the final shot of the pay per view is the car disappearing into the night as every man and their dog wonders what the hell jut happened.

A few things;

- that took a long, long time to post it...I put it off and off until finally today just deciding to get it done. So sorry if some of it seems rushed, but I just got in the frame of mind where I had to write it then or I never would have, haha. I'm still gonna be continuing this, but a busy week at uni then getting home meant I couldn't really be arsed for a while. It's the little things that annoy me...I might alter my general layout or at least try to organise all my pictures because inserting them has got to be the single least enjoyable thing about this. But I feel like they add some much needed colour, so some thoughts on that front would be nice, heh.

- on which note, thanks to JHD for the bear/primus alts, although I did skewer the middle a bit when putting them together as one, heh.

- my favourite part to write was most definitely the eric/jerry promo because just writing an actual segment I find much more fun than matches, and you can tell a lot more. Might move towards more detailed segments and even briefer matches, as well, SWF isn't really about the ins and outs of a worker's wrestling style. We shall see.

Thanks to everyone who predicted, good to see some variations and congrats to CJAlex for being the only guy to be spot on with everything. Along with lprock the only person to call a Sexy victory, heheh.

Great minds think alike:cool:

By the way when is the next update?

Indeed

And I'm having to evaluate this now for a number reasons. I fully intended to steam through a lot of it over easter but a couple of things happened, firstly Wrestlemania and the aftermath meant I was actually watching WWE again for a while so wrestling wise my mind became more real world geared, so I put things on hold with a view to starting them up when I return to uni in a couple of weeks and won't be able to watch it for the most part. That's still a possibility, but as much as I like the overall direction I've got going and some things I'm eventually building towards, I'm not sure a second weekly show was a good idea. In a game without a diary it makes perfect sense, but doing both, it's a huge effort, especially when using the same roster.

I may potentially continue it in a slightly different fashion, be it through an unexplained demise of XTV (something I'm not entirely keen on doing but I'd at least have to pretend it didn't happen in the first place lol), or through some other adjustments. With SWF at global I think even something like a brand split shouldn't be out of the question, which would make writing two shows more worthwhile if I did it properly but eh...I dunno. We'll see, but right now I think I need to forget about the writing side of things for a little while and push forward with progress in-game, and see where that leaves me. Thanks to everyone who's followed this up until this point, and I hope that if I do continue it in any way, shape or form, people continue to do so and aren't put off by this break xD

It's funny though, when I was writing this there was a huge crop of SWF diaries around but I haven't seen anything from Shmoe, SOK and co. in a while either, must be a bad time of the year. Or Casey starting one has put people off :D
