BHOTWGPuroresu.com

Burning Hammer's Burn Don't Freeze Tour, comes to 'the house of Burning Hammer' the Tochigi Sports Stadium in Tokyo, Kanto Prefecture on Monday 15th March 2010.

The main event will see Kinnojo Horri do battle with Team INSPIRE's Masaaki Okazaki in a Contenders Circle showdown, both come into the match on the back of recent victories against a member of the Black Heart Brethren, Horri going over Masuno and Okazaki defeating Taira; with the winner of this match setting themselves up for a shot at the World Championship after Fire Dream of the Immortals.

The semi main event will see Hiroaki Nakasawa warm up for his title match with Tasuku Iesada at Fire Dream with a non title match against Dragon Feet 2K9's Shimedzu. Shimedzu goes into this match with no pressure to emerge with the victory and if Nakasawa underestimates the former tag champion he may find himself on the end of an upset.

In further singles action Tadiyuki Kikkawa takes on veteran Sanetomo Shiraishi in a non King of Fighters title match and Elemental III faces a Junior Contender's Circle Spot Challenge from fellow Burning Sekigun member Super Joshuya.

In Tag Team action Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) do battle with the Raging Bulls (Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda). The Bull's came close to winning the Tag Title's last week against The Behemoth's, however a win for Black Magic may well put them in the driver's seat for a shot at the Tag Title's instead of the Raging Bull's.

Team INSPIRE's Mike Watson and Tasuku Iesada will team together against the Burning Sekigun pair of Takayuki Onodera and 'Wild Charisma' Tadakuni Toshusai , with Watson and Iesada looking to head into challenging for the King of Fighters and World Championship title's at Fire Dream with momentum on their side.

In Junior Tag Team action the recently formed duo of Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji) take on former champions Little Fury (VENOM & Yoshii Shiomi). Universal Excellence have looked impressive in defeat thus far but a win over the Junior Division representatives of the RAGE faction would cement them as a new force in the Junior Tag ranks.

Last but no by no means least in the main-show card is a Six Man Tag that has the potential to perhaps steal the show as the Junior Champion Sensational Dragon teams with fellow Dragon Feet 2K9 members American Optimus and Miyamae to take on the man that will challenge Dragon for the Junior Belt at Fire Dream Black Cobra and the Black Heart Flying Squadron of The Awesome Kiyaru and Golden Scorpion.

Those who can get to the Tochigi Sports Stadium early will be treated to two bonus matches with the Tag Team Champion's The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) going up against the duo of Roku Sotomura & Masataro Kataoka in non title action, whilst in Junior Tag action Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda) take on the pairing of Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawa.

Here is a full run-down of the card for Show #5 of the Burn, Don't Freeze Tour-

Predictions Form:

Contender's Circle: Kinnojo Horri vs Masaaki Okazaki

Horri is a little more over, and a lot younger. There is no benefit for Inspire's #3 guy to go over one of the big players of your main event scene.

Non Title: Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Shimedzu

Non title or not, you aren't going to have your champion look weak before the ppv ( unless his contract is coming due and you need his overness down. :p )

Mike Watson & Tasuku Iesada vs Takayuki Onodera & Tadakuni Toshusai

Both are challenging for major titles, therefore both win

Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) vs Raging Bulls (Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda)

The Mullets are in the main event scene, the Bulls aren't.

American Optimus, Miyamae & Sensational Dragon vs Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion

Could go either way, but I am picking Kiyaru and Scorpion's team to win to strengthen their individual claims to challenge for the super junior title

Junior CC Spot Challenge: Elemental III vs Super Joshuya

Joshuya is evidently still a force in the super junior division

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Sanetomo Shiraishi

non title doesn't matter as there is way too much difference in level here

Universal Exellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji) vs Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM)

Non Title: The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) vs Roku Sotomura & Masataro Kataoka

Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda) vs Stone Yoshikawa & Red Panther

squashes, although I'd have made the Behemoths a title shot just to give them another defence.

Contender's Circle: Kinnojo Horri vs Masaaki Okazaki

Horri's the #2 guy for Sekigun, which makes for a better story than INSPIRE's low level guy challenging. And it mirrors Watson vs. Kikkiwa

Non Title: Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Shimedzu

The Burning World Champion isn't going to lose in some meaningless warmup match.

Mike Watson & Tasuku Iesada vs Takayuki Onodera & Tadakuni Toshusai

Seriously? Seriously.

Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) vs Raging Bulls (Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda)

Raging Bulls are old. Black Magic are main eventers.

American Optimus, Miyamae & Sensational Dragon vs Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion

These three have been on a roll.

Junior CC Spot Challenge: Elemental III vs Super Joshuya

Elemental III is the future of the junior division.

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Sanetomo Shiraishi

Is Shiraishi still alive?

Universal Exellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji) vs Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM)

Little Fury's been doing well lately.

Non Title: The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) vs Roku Sotomura & Masataro Kataoka

The Behemoth's are champs, Sotomura and Kataoka are a random indy pairing.

Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda) vs Stone Yoshikawa & Red Panther

Size of the Fight are talented. So are Stone and Panther, but they're still young and paying their dues.

That has to be my favourite predictions comment yet :D

Coming into this match Shiraishi is still just about alive, but will he still be alive after being in the ring with Kikkawa ?

Aiming to get the next show up on Thursday, was aiming for a little earlier but looks like I'm going to be pretty busy for the next few days.

Burn, Don't Freeze Tour - Show 5

(Monday 15th March 2010)

Tochigi Sports Stadium, Kanto (Attendance 9'676- No Vacancy)

Commentators for this show: Toru Minamoto, Mitsuhide Muro & Katsuhiko Shunsen

Pre-Show

Match A: Non Title:

The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) vs Roku Sotomura & Masataro Kataoka

Straight forward squash for the Tag champions, who will next be in action at the Fire Dream of the Immortals PPV where they will be putting their tag straps on the line. This one ended when Nisso Yuasha downed Masutaro Katoaka with the Quake Bomb (Elevated Powerbomb), whilst Kanishoki simulataneously took care of Roku Sotomura with the Super Samoan Drop.

Result: Nisso Yuasha [w] & Kanishoki bt Roku Sotomura & Masataro Kataoka [L] in 3:39 via pinfall (Quake Bomb)

Rating: D+

Match B: Size of the Fight (Kokan & Konda) vs Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawa

A decent fast paced pre-show tag match with the untested duo of Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawa giving Size of the Fight some problems in the early going, however SOTF's tag experience shone through and in the end it was Yoshikawa who fell to SOTF's combination finisher 'The Big Fight Ender' (Tandem Powerbomb/Neckbreaker).

Result: Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda [w] bt Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawa [L]

Rating: C

Main Show

Match #1: Junior Contenders Circle Spot Challenge:

Elemental III vs Super Joshuya

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalIII.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SuperJoshuya-1.jpg

Given the fact that these two fight for the same side, these two showed plenty of respect to one another in the early going, with the exchanges being based more on counter for counter grappling as opposed to them wishing to beat several shades of you know what into each other.

However after they exchanged a series of flash pinfalls, the competitive juices began to flow, which is to be honest what the crowd were waiting for. Switching up to more strike based offence seemed to favour Elemental III more, until Joshuya was able to duck a roudhouse kick and then after catching the leg take the third generation icon down with a Dragon screw.

Joshuya then waited for Elemental III to hobble back up, before taking his fellow Burning Sekigun stable mates legs out with a low drop-kick before heading up top, where he immediately went for the Due South (Corksrew Moonsault) but Elemental III was able to move out of the way at the last split second. When they got back to their feet the current Junior Tag champion re-took control with the Tri-Fecta kick series before driving the Junior Division veteran onto the canvas with an Earth Breaker (Double Underhook Powerbomb) only for Joshuya to show fighting spirit and kick out at two. Elemental III went back to the same well as second time, only for Joshuya to counter into a victory roll. Joshuya then snapped off a head-scissors take down, before waiting for Elemental III to stagger back up where he drove the Junior Tag Champion into the canvas with the J-Drop (Front Flip DDT).....

But Elemental III emphatically kicked out at two, and then with enough adrenalin pumping through his body was able to dump Joshuya with an Elemental Suplex. However he was too worn down to hold onto the bridging pin. After both staggered up to their feet an exchange of strikes followed, before Joshuya tried for a Falcon Arrow however that was blocked and Elemental III dumped the Junior Division veteran with another Elemental Suplex after a standing switch. With Joshuya down the third generation icon then headed up for the top-rope and then came crashing down upon Joshuya with always impressive Inferno Splash (Corkscrew 450 Splash) to secure the victory and maintain his spot in the Junior Division contenders circle.

Result: Elemental III [w] bt Super Joshuya [L] in 10:45 via pinfall (Inferno Splash)

Rating: C+

Post Match Comments:

Elemental III: You know I've got alot of respect for Joshuya, he's done alot to pave the way for the likes of me, the new generation if you will but when it comes to stepping inside the ring with anyone be it friend or foe I'm not going to hold back...Joshuya knew that coming into this match and he sure as hell know's it after this match.

Super Joshuya: I can truly say that I think Elemental III can forge his own legend, just like his predecessors but though he got the better of me today, I'm not ready to 'pass the torch' just yet.

Match #2: Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji) vs Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/BaireiYasujiro-1.jpg?t=1268428305 & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/HaruKurofuji.jpg?t=1268428325

vs

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_YoshiiShiomi-1.jpg & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Venom-1.jpg

Though both teams put in a good effort in a back and forth contest, lack of crowd heat prevented this from going over better. Universal Excellence are still to really establish themselves, whilst Little Fury have gone back to being near jobbers since their last run with the Junior Tag belts. In fact the ex WLW duo look that little more slicker, despite having considerably less experience tagging together, yet VENOM & Shiomi show great survival instincts and gradually not only get themselves into the match but take control and it looked to be all over when VENOM managed to snare Haru Kurofuji into the Sting In The Tail (Cross Knee Lock submission, only for Yasujiro to make the save at the last split second.

A slew of signature moves followed that left all four laying in the ring, with Shiomi and Yasujiro the one's to continue the fight...Shiomi went for the Jewel Breaker only for Yasujiro to block and then stun the former House of Stone trainee with a back flip kick, that then set up Shiomi for the Yasujiro Suplex (Electric Chair German) and Kurofuji was able to hold VENOM off long enough for Universal Excellence to pick up a solid win and really announce their arrival on the Burning Hammer Junior Tag scene.

Result: Barei Yasujiro [w] & Haru Kurofuji bt Yoshii Shiomi [L] & VENOM in 9:40 via pinfall (Yasujiro Suplex)

Rating: C

Post Match Comments:

Barei Yasujiro: Myself and Kurofuji-san have been getting closer to victory with each time we team together and today we got that victory, are we ready yet to challenge for the belts, perhaps not ? Perhaps we need to prove ourselves even more, but it's good to get up and running.

Yoshii Shiomi: Right now I'm furious, absolutely furious that we lost that match, come on we are former two time Junior Tag Team Champions we should be doing better alot better !

VENOM: We only have ourselves to blame, we need to rediscover our edge, we need to re-find the edge that took us from putting up a good fight to beating out the competition.

Match #3: Tasuku Iesada & Mike Watson vs

Takayuki Onodera & Tadakuni Toshusai

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/TasukuIesada.jpg?t=1268429656 & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MikeWatson.jpg

vs

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TakayukiAvatar.jpg & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadakuniToshusai-1.jpg

The INSPIRE pair of Iesada and Watson are both looking to build some momentum ahead of some title shots but Toshusai and Onodera come out with a purpose that I not to be rolled over and it is them that take the fight to the Team INSPIRE duo in the early going, however after Iesada and Watson take a powder, Onodera and Toshusai become a little too over eager and fall for the veteran's 'trap'.

That leads to Onodera receiving an extended beatdown in the corner, with the Team INSPIRE interspersing their offence with taunts at both the crowd and an increasingly frustrated Tadakuni Toshusai, however eventually communication problems beseige the Iesada and Watson, with Watson accidently knocking down the Super 10 Cup winner with a wayward elbow shot. Then after blocking a vertical suplex attempt from Watson, Onodera was able to reverse into one of his own.

Onodera then scrambled back to his corner, only for Watson to prevent him from making the tag, however Onodera managed to land on his feet after a back drop suplex from the Calgary Assasin, before nailing Watson with a leg lariat and then finally getting the hot-tag into an extremely fired up Tadakuni Toshusai.

'Wild Charisma' unleashed a barrage of his signature Mongolian Chops on the Team INSPIRE duo before planting Iesada with the Spineshocker. Watson broke up the pin attempt on that, and then unleashed a barrage of fore-arms and slaps on Toshusai, only for 'Wild Charisma' to no sell them and flip the double-bird at the Canadian Assassin. Toshusai then unleashed a flurry of his own, before attempting to connect with the Shock Kick only to be tripped up from the apron by Iesada.

Watson then connected with a clothesline, and though Toshusai kicked out, the Calgary Assassin soon turned over 'Wild Charisma' to lock in a Dragon Sleeper. Meanwhile Iesada and Onodera were duking it out on the outside and though Iesada tried his best to stop Onodera from making the save, the Burning Sekigun man was able to dive in and prevent Toshusai from passing out to the Dragon Sleeper.

However Toshusai was spent and it was now effectively a handicap match, but not of the first time Iesada and Watson miscommunicated on a double team manoeuvre and after colliding, Onodera sent Iesada out of the ring with a drop-kick before ducking under a One Stop Punch from Watson, to nail the Calgary Assassin with the End of You (Rolling Elbow to the Back of the Head).....

Watson crumbled to the mat and the upset victory looked to be on the cards but Iesada was able to make the save and then dump Onodera with a Back Drop Suplex.... That gave Iesada enough time to get himself officially tagged back into the match, at he thought it did, as Onodera nailed the Super 10 Cup winner with a superkick....

Iesada kicked out but Onodera then set up for the 'Call The Doctor' with an inverted facelock lift but the Team INSPIRE man had it scouted and suddenly countered into a roll up that he then transtioned into the Iesada Lockdown (a near impossible to escape cross legged bridging pin), and with Watson able to hold back a recovered Toshusai from making the save, Onodera was simply unable to get his shoulders off the canvas, as Iesada and Watson escaped with a victory in a match they would have felt they should have made easier work of.

Tadakuni Toshusai: LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY !! Not very inspiring, eh to beat us only by a mere pinfall, in fact you did not BEAT us, you only out manoevred us, next time we can outmanouevre you ? NO ?....I thinketh YES, YES, YES !!

Takayuki Onodera: Toshusai-san is utterly mad, but you know what he says is basically right. Iesada, Watson you two will be challenging for two of the biggest prizes in this sport at Fire Dream of the Immortals and we almost embarrased you.

Tasuku Iesada: Oh I suppose the midcard choker and looney tunes will feel they took us to the limit, fact is perhaps we weren't 100 % at our best, perhaps we had our eye on bigger things like challenging for titles, something that would be utterly alien to them !

Match #4: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Sanetomo Shiraishi

How Shiraishi with his broken down body managed to survive for nearly ten minutes in this one was something of a minor miracle. Make no mistake the 'King of Fighters' near enough dominated this from start to finish, but 'the Lizard's' resolute resilliance began to frustrate Kikkawa to the point that the Team INSPIRE began to get flustered and with Kikkawa suddenly off his game-plan Shiraishi almost stole this one with his Bite of the Lizard (Snap DDT) but that's as good as it got for the grumpy veteran and Kikkawa now even more determined to finish the job, levelled Shiraishi with a Kikkawa Lariat before finally putting 'the Lizard' away with the Kikkawa Driver (Wrist Clutch Death Valley Driver).

Result: Tadiyuki Kikkawa [w] bt Sanetomo Shiraishi [L] via pinfall (Kikkawa Driver)

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Does the Burning Hammer management really feel it worthy of my time, to be beating a broken down old has been like Shiraishi....I want real competition, I am the King of Fighters, I am the legendary Tadiyuki Kikkawa, I should be in the main event ! The imbeciles in charge round here insulted me with this match !

Match #5: Sensational Dragon, Miyamae & American Optimus vs Black Cobra, The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion

There was a feeling that this match could well steal the show, with Black Cobra and Sensational Dragon particularly on fire with their performances of late and they very much did this bit to make sure that this certainly lived up to the hype, as did the other four involved in what turned out to be a pretty damn good Six Man Tag.

The match began in standard fashion with a 'feeling out' process between both teams, that was until American Optimus went for the O-Bomb on Kiyaru, only for the Junior Division veteran to counter into a frankensteiner, Miyamae broke up the pin attempt and soon enough the floodgate's opened and the brawl spilt o the floor, with Sensational Dragon wiping everyone out with a corkscrew slingshot plancha. However it was on the floor that the Black Heart Brethren trio truly seized control of the contest, managing to isolate American Optimus, after they were able to take out both Sensational Dragon and Miyamae.

The match then settled down into a brief lull as the Black Heart Brethren trio worked over Optimus in their corner, with a particular focus on targetting Optimus legs as if to set up for the Stone Hold/Scorpion Lock. However when Cobra went to lock in the submission, Optimus was able to kick him off, and then stun the masked Canadian with a Rolling Wheel Kick, before fending off the Black Heart Flying Squadron with a flurry of palm strikes, before slumping to the mat with nothing left to give.

Despite Golden Scorpion's best efforts Optimus managed to get the hot tag into Miyamae, who cleaned house on the Black Heart Brethren trio with a combination of precision kicks and a Dragon Suplex each for both Cobra and Scorpion, the second of which lead to a two count.

Miyamae then lifted Scorpion up for the Miyamae Spoiler only for Kiyaru to springboard back in and nail Miyamae with a springboard drop-kick, that then lured in Sensational Dragon who climbed to the top rope to nail Kiyaru with a missile drop-kick and once again things began to broke down again, but this time it was the Dragon Feet 2K9 trio who would seize control dumping both Cobra and Scorpion from the ring before Dragon and Optimus soared to the outside with stereo dives.

Miyamae then planted Kiyaru onto the mat with a back heel trip before locking the Snake Poison submission (Anaconda Vice).....however much to the Dragon Feet 2K9 trio's frustration Kiyaru had enough left in the tank to edge his way over to the ropes and force a rope-break.

But with Cobra and Scorpion still smarting on the outside, they were able to isolate the former four time Junior champion in their corner, however when Miyamae and Dragon tried to combine on an assited Dragon Slice...Kiyaru manage to flip his way onto his feet before snapping of series of head-scissors on both Miyamae and Dragon before drop-kicking Optimus off the apron. Miyamae however was able to cut Kiyaru off from making the tag and then positioned the mysterious masked man on the top-rope, before tagging Sensational Dragon back in, Dragon then climbed to the top and set up for a rana, but Kiyaru was able to shove the Junior champion off and then planted both Dragon and Miyamae into the mat with a double KIYARU EFFECT ! (Forward Somersault Stunner)......

That lead to Kiyaru rolling across the ring to get the tag into Black Cobra, who then went to to toe with American Optimus, Cobra gained the advantage and set up for a Stoneplex only for Optimus to block and then stun Cobra with a palm strike, before drilling the gaijin ace with a brainbuster for a two count. That lead to Optimus heading up top to set up for the O-Zone Sky Flyer only for Golden Scorpion to rush out of the corner and drill Optimus with a leaping roundhouse kick, however Umeki still trying to keep some sense of order to the match ordered Scorpion back to his corner, of which Scorpion was non too co-operative to do and his protestations allowed for Kiyaru to sneak onto the apron and waffle Optimus with a kendo stick shot....

Optimus then fell into the ring and right into a Stoneplex from a now recovered Black Cobra........

But to the shock of Cobra, Optimus kicked out and got the tag into Miyamae who then nailed Cobra with a Glittering Magician Knee......

The Awesome Kiyaru dove in to make the save and with Umeki losing track things began to really break down, as the match began to build towards a frenzied finish, firstly Kiyaru was able to duck a spin-kick from Miyamae before planting the former tag champion onto the mat with a leg-sweep, before heading up top where he soared off with a moonsault only for Miyamae to move out of the way but Kiyaru was a step ahead landing on his feet and then reeling off a standing moonsault (a sequence he calls the Instant Wizard) but that could only get a two as Sensational Dragon dove in to make the save.....

However Golden Scorpion was able to send Dragon to the outside and Kiyaru headed up once more, but Miyamae was back up and this time was able to block a Kiyaru effect, before planting the mysterious masked man with a MIYAMAE SPOILER (Swingin Reverse STO).....

This time it was Scorpion's turn to deny victory, before delivering a boot to the mid-section and drilling Miyame into the canvas with the SCORPION STINGER (Leg Trap Sunset Flip Powerbomb).......

American Optimus broke up the pin attempt, but was unable to get the better of Scorpion who was able to drill the gaijin masked man with a Brainbuster, only for Sensational Dragon to re-announce his arrival back into the match with a SENSATION SHOCK !

Black Cobra dove in at the last split second to break up the pin. Scorpion and Cobra then combined to take the Junior Champion out with a leg-sweep/spin kick combo before setting up a superkick/German only for Dragon to duck under the superkick from Scorpion...Dragon then nailed Scorpion with an Enziguri and then followed up with a release Dragon Suplex that seemd to take Scorpion out of the contest, leaving the two men who would duke it out over the Junior Championship at Fire Dream in the ring......

With Cobra still dazed Dragon set up for Dragon Slice, only for his challenger at Fire-Dream to block and then counter into a DDT, but Dragon showed great fighting spirit by getting back up instantly and nailing Cobra with a leaping roundhouse kick.....

With Cobra down on one knee, the Junior Champion then went out on to the apron, and waited for Cobra to rise to his feet, as he looked to deliver another Sensation Shock......

But Cobra was able to block and then counter into the DEATH BY COBRA (Double Wrist Clutch Powerbomb).......

The Black Brethren trio had managed to edge out their Dragon Feet 2K9 opponents, but perhaps most importingly of all Cobra had managed to obtain something of a psychogical advantage, after he was able to pin the Junior Champion ahead of their title match showdown at Fire Dream of the Immortals.

Match #6: Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) vs Raging Bulls (Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda)

This match was of course a total departure from what had gone before, as these two teams just went at each other with back and forth brawling, with neither side backing down, eventually though Black Magic's size and Power advantage began to come into play and soon enough they had Eiji Hamacho isolated in their corner but the Raging Bull was not going to go down without a fight and some arrogant posteuring from the mullet haired duo allowed for Hamacho to fire back, even to the point that he was able to take out both Taira and Masuno with Bull Rush Spears...however Hamacho was too worn down to try and go for a pin and he simply looked to get Sanda tagged into the match.

Sanda was fresh and fired up coming into the match and despite the size disadvantage he was still able to take advantage of the fact that Black Magic were still smarting from being speared out of their boots by Hamacho, and after sending Taira out of the ring with an Explosion Kick II (Spin Kick) he then followed up with an Original Explosion Kick (Running Boot) to Masuno. Masuno stayed on his feet but then an Explosion Kick II put the mullet haired powerhouse flat on his back.

However it was not enough to put Masuno down for three and with Sanda running out of steam, the match turned back into Black Magic's favour when Masuno turned Sanda inside out with a lariat. With Taira then sending Hamacho out of the ring with a clothesline, Sanda was left isolated and soon enough he was dumped with the Devastator (Black Magic's tandem finisher of a Flapjack/Cutter combo) and that was enough to secure the co-leaders of the Black Heart Brethren the victory.

Result: Yasunobu Masuno [w] & Yasuhiko Taira bt Eiji Hamacho & Chuichi Sanda [L] in 12:56 via pinfall (Devastator)

Yasuhiko Taira: Seems to me the Whimpering Bulls aren't really worthy of challenging for the Tag Belts after all

Yasunobu Masuno: Surely now we are number one contenders....a bit been there done that but hey maybe we take the tag belts off the Behemoths and then we win the singles gold.

Yasuhiko Taira: That sounds like a very good plan Masuno-san.

Yasunobu Masuno: Indeed a plan only those as powerful and as perfect as us would be able to carry off with ease.

Yasuhiko Taira: So Behemoths are you ready to face a real challenge at Fire Dream. We'd understand if you would rather not face us, because lets face it you didn't even manage to beat a team, we just dispatched of with total ease..so what's it to be eh Behemoths, you going to run from this challenge like a pair of fat roosters or you going to try and prove your mettle as champions !

Match #7: Non Title: Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Shimedzu

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/HiroakiNakasawa-1.jpg?t=1268429324 vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/Shimedzu-1.jpg?t=1268429674

Shimedzu came out fired up for this one, by taking the fight right to the World Champion from the start, something that perhaps caught the 'H-Bomb' a little off guard and on the back foot as the Dragon Feet 2K9 man unleashed a precision barrage of kicks and strikes. However Shimedzu was unable to get Nakasawa completely off a vertical base and the World Champion struck back with a clothesline before launching Shimedzu over head with a back body drop, that saw Shimedzu land on the apron but then get knocked down to the floor with another clothesline from the champion.

From there things spilt to the outside but Shimedzu blocked a suplex attempt out on the floor by raking at Nakasawa's eyes and then after chopping the World Champion down to his knees with flurry of kicks, the former tag champion then nailed Nakasawa with a jumping knee strike off the apron, before rolling back in and waiting for referee Terakado to start the twenty floor count. Noticing Nakasawa get back to his feet however Shimedzu then slingshotted over the top-rope wiping out the World Champion with a slingshot body press, before stepping back into the ring, where Terakado re-started the floor count.

Nakasawa however showed the fighting spirit of a champion and beat the floor count but an undettered and determind Shimedzu kept the pressure on Nakasawa, stomping away on the World Champion immediately. That only seemed to get Nakasawa more fired up though and the World Champion rose back to his feet only to be nailed with a roundhouse kick from Shimedzu, that lead to a two count.

Shimedzu then at that point decided to head up top only for Nakasawa to get back to his feet but the former tag champion then took Nakasawa off his feet with a missile drop-kick. Shimedzu then ducked a clothesline attempt from Nakasawa and then used the momentum to spring off the ropes with a roundhouse kick only for Nakasawa to catch the Dragon Feet 2K9 man in mid move and counter into a fall-away slam. Nakasawa then levelled Shimedzu with a clothesline, before planting Shimedzu with the Nakasawa Neckbreaker (Inverted Swinging Neckbreaker).........

One......

Two.....

Thr.....

Shimedzu wasn't going to go down that easily and kicked out. Nakasawa then lifted Shimedzu up for an H-Bomb only for the Dragon Feet man to slip off and then take Nakasawa off his feet with a leg-sweep before following in with a step up Enzguri, that lead to a two count for Shimedzu who then decided to head for the top turnbuckle again but just as last time Nakasawa was back to his feet but Shimedzu was again a step ahead again and dove off to drill Nakasawa into the canvas with a Tornado DDT, which he was then able to smoothly transition into his Insurrexion Device (Guillotine Choke) submission.........

A huge upset looked to be on the cards but somehow Nakasawa managed to dig down and fight his way back to his feet and then have just about enough strength left to drop Shimedzu with a vertical suplex.......

The match then almost ended on a double count out, as the fans urged both men to get back to their feet...that they just about did......Shimedzu then went to nail Nakasawa with the Life Flasher (Rebound Running Boot) after being whipped into the ropes but Nakasawa was able to avoid and then levelled Shimedzu with a lariat, that left the Dragon Feet 2K9 man dazed enough for Nakasawa to lift him up for the H-Bomb........

One......

Two.......

Three........

This time Shimedzu had nothing left to give and the World Champion had managed to emerge victorious from what had been a competitive non title test in the lead up to Fire Dream of the Immortals.

Result: Hiroaki Nakasawa [w] bt Shimedzu [L] in 19:18 via pinfall (H-Bomb)

Rating: B

Post Match Comments:

Hiroaki Nakasawa: Tonight I was well and truly tested by a great warrior in Shimedzu, and a lesser man may well have wilted under the pressure he put me under but I am the Burning World Champion and part of being World Champion is being willing to go that extra mile, to be willing to fight through whatever your opponent puts in front of you. I know at Fire Dream Iesada will literally throw all he can at me, but whatever he brings to me, I know I can survive it and come the end of Fire Dream, I will still be the Burning World Champion !

Shimedzu: I will admit when I have been beaten the better man, I threw everything at Nakasawa but it was not enough. But does that discourage me from trying to prove myself against the very best here in Burning Hammer....not at all, I still believe I can not only compete with but defeat the very best here and until that belief is beaten out of me, I will keep on believing.

Match #8: Contenders Circle:

Kinnojo Horri vs Masaaki Okazaki

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/KinnojoHorri-1.jpg?t=1268429344 vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/MasaakiOkazaki.jpg?t=1268428925

This is essentially a number one contenders match, with the winner of this bout facing either Nakasawa or Iesada for the world title after Fire Dream of the Immortals, so not only will the winner have a title shot there could be the possibility of either of them facing their own stable mate for the world title.

With alot of tension at the start of the match, due to what was at stake this one started out very tentively with a feeling out process with Okazaki somewhat surprisingly agreeing to a test of strength with the more powerful Horri. As expected Horri convicingly overpowered Okazaki and began to take further control by tossing Okazaki into the corner, before Horri then followed in with a running clothesline before tossing Okazaki overhead with a release belly to belly suplex.

At that point Okazaki managed to roll out of the ring for a powder, before Horri eager to keep the pressure on gave chase, only for Okazaki to 'out run' and then cheap shot the man who claims to be One Million Per Cent Burning Hammer. Okazaki then sent Horri down with a drop toe hold that saw the former Burning World Champion fall throat first on the middle rope, setting him in position for Okazaki to follow up with a drop-kick to the back of the head and then a guillotine chop off the apron.

Okazaki then tried to get a quick pin, before trying to turn Horri over for the Century Crab Lift but Horri held firm and kicked Okazaki off. But the INSPIRE man stayed in control with a running knee strike that brought him a two count. Growing in confidence Okazaki then began to taunt Horri, even going as far as paint-brushing the young powerhouse but as is normally the case when one fighter becomes too c0cky, it only serves to fire up his opponent and Horri responded in earnest as he began to fight back to his feet with a flurry of strikes and chops that soon had Okazaki on the back-foot only for that flurry to be cut off with an eye rake.

Okazaki then set up for a DDT on Horri, but the Burning Sekigun fan favourite managed to block the attempt and then take the Team INSPIRE over with a vertical suplex. Okazaki then got back up to his feet but was immediately nailed with a Lariat from Horri that lead to close two count. Horri then whipped Okazaki into the corner and decided to perch the Team INSPIRE man onto the top rope before setting up for a vertical suplex but Okazaki went to the eyes again and managed to shove Horri off, but with the top-rope being somewhat alien ground of Okazaki he was too hesistant in what to do next and Horri was back up the turnbuckle to send Okazaki crashing back into the ring with a superplex !

Horri then waited for Okazaki to stagger back to his feet before planting the Team INSPIRE man with a HURRICANE SPINEBUSTER (Spinning Spinebuster).....

One.......

Two......

Thr........

Horri and the crowd felt certain that was three but Okazaki managed to get his shoulder up just in time and then bail out of the ring before Horri could follow up. Effectively Horri could have still had this match won by countout but he wanted to secure victory inside the ring and he went to pitch Okazaki back inside the ring, where he began to set up for the Destiny Bomb but Okazaki was able to block and then double Horri over with a suspiciously low knee shot to Horri's groin, before planting the Burning Sekigun man to the canvas with a legsweep DDT.

Okazaki then turned Horri over for the Century Crab Lift, only for Horri to show great fighting spirit by beginning to power his way over to the ropes, that lead to Okazaki releasing the hold and then changing tactic by nailing Horri with a running knee strike before he could fully get back up to a vertical base and then unleashing the Okazaki Kick Barrage.

Believing that Horri had nothing left to give, Okazaki then asked for referee Umeki to start a ten count but to the Team INSPIRE man's frustration Horri managed to beat the ten count, however determined to finish the job Okazaki came charging in with another running knee strike but this time Horri was able to block and then plant Okazaki with a FIERCE SPINEBUSTER ! (High Angle spinebuster).....

But Mr One Million Per Cent Burning Hammer was unable to follow up, after being on the receiving end of Okazaki's offence for the past portion of the match. After Umeki applied a double count both combatants staggered back to their feet and then got up into each other's faces taunting the other to bring it on.

'Bring it On' they did with both Horri and Okazaki unleashing a furious flurry of strikes upon one another. Okazaki seemed to gain the advantage and set up for the Okazaki explosion only for Horri to block and then shoot Okazaki off into the ropes before nailing the Team INSPIRE man with a Lariat, that lead to a two count, before Horri set up once again for the Destiny Bomb but Okazaki managed to fight his way out mid-move and counter with a faceplant before suddenly taking control of Horri's arm to lock on the Angular Arm-Bar but Horri started to power his way back up to his feet again and looked set to plant Okazaki with a Fireman's carry slam only for the Team INSPIRE veteran to fight his way out with a series of elbow shots and then plant Horri onto the canvas with a legsweep DDT before going back to the Angular Arm Bar.......

Okazaki had it locked in tight but once again Horri began to fight his way over to the ropes, only for Okazaki to drag Horri nearer to the centre of the ring once again and apply even more pressure on the Angular Arm Bar !

Umeki checked on Horri's condition.....

No response the first time......

Umeki then took another look to see if Horri was still in the match......

Still no response.......

Umeki with one last look......

Horri suddenly with one last ounce of energy to give, suddenly rolls Okazaki over and had the Team INSPIRE man's shoulders to the mat.......

One.......

Two......

Three !!!

Horri got the pin but he it looks like he has completely passed out from the angular armbar. Question is did Horri pass out before he pinned Okazaki's shoulders to the mat or after ?

Horri, Okazaki wait on baited breath for referee Umeki's verdict, as he goes over to the announce table.....

Toru Minamoto: Due to an inconclusive finish, where Horri had Okazaki's shoulders pinned to the mat but was at the time in a submission hold of Okazaki, referee Umeki has declared this match a draw !

Neither Okazaki and Horri are too pleased with that decision and both get in Umeki's face over his controversial decision, however their rage at how the match ended soon see's them turn their fury on one another once again until a gaggle of jobbers manage to come between them much to the crowd's disapproval.

With things unsettled between these two, then a re-match is certaintly on the cards in the near future and despite the frustrating finish to the match this was still a great main event and perhaps with things not being settled between these two it adds further intrigue to a re-match.

Result: Kinnojo Horri drew with Masaaki Okazaki in 25:02 (Draw due to inconclusive finish, Horri pinned Okazaki but had passed out to the Angular Arm Bar).

Rating: B+

Post Match Comments:

Masaaki Okazaki: Face it Horri, you got lucky, you got very lucky....you know that you had nothing, absolutely nothing left, yet Umeki-san foolishly falls for you flukily rolling your deadweight on to me. Next time we meet Horri, I will not only defeat you, I will defeat you so conclusively any thought of challenging for the world title will be utterly inconceivable.

Kinnojo Horri: Do you think I am satisfied with that ? I am far from satisfied with that, I to more than anyone, do this thing again with Okazaki and when we do meet again, I will make sure that I am in the position to truly defeat him and cement myself undisputedly as the number one contender to the Burning World Championship.

__________________________________________________________

Overall: B+

Onodera's Viewpoint: Having the main event finish with such an inconclusive ending was a definite gamble that could have backfired badly, given the fact that our fanbase like to see clean, decisive finishes but in the end it did and it should have added a little more spice to another match between these two, which will be an addition to the Fire Dream of the Immortals card, also being added to that card following their victory over the Raging Bulls will be a tag Team Title match between Black Magic and The Behemoths.

No real change here as Dragonmack, Zergon and FINisher retain their one point lead over Smurphy1014 and Bigpapa42, at this stage it looks like the first round of the predictions contest will be between these five. Also credit must go to Marcel Fromage for an excellent, near-perfect showing on his first set of predictions, never know had he been in the contest from the start he could have been a contender.

Overall this was a pretty straight forward card to predict, with really only the main event and the Universal Excellence-Little Fury tag match splitting people to a significant degree. Of course with the main event ending a draw no one got that right !

Following the controversial end to their Contenders Circle match at the recent tour show at the Tochigi Sports Stadium in Kanto, Kinnojo Horri and Masaaki Okazaki will face one another once again in a re-match, with the winner being granted a shot for the World Championship at the Sword of Destiny PPV on Friday 21st May. </p><p> </p><p>

Though the Raging Bulls have not had the best of luck thus far on this tour, Hamacho is a tough competitor who should not be understimated and if Kikkawa isn't truly focused on his opponent then Hamacho does have what it takes to pull off a significant upset.</p><p> </p><p> In further singles action Yasuhiko Taira will put his Contenders Circle spot on the line against the unpredictable Tadakuni Toshusai. Rounding out the Junior Division action on the show will be a singles showdown between John Pathlow and Kansuke Konda.</p><p> </p><p> For those who can get to the Matsue Sports Park early, there will <p>Really digging this diary and am impressed with how you can visualize and describe Jpanese style matches (in particular the Junior Six-Man from the last show and the false finishes). You've built up excellent tension for almost every match for Fire Dream (the draw between Horri and Okazaki now gives their rematch enough heat to make it almost a triple main event). I'm looking forward to seeing how the six-man at the next show gives Nakasawa and Iesada that little bit extra. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kinnojo Horri & Takayuki Onodera vs Tasuku Iesada, Masaaki Okazaki & Mike Watson

- Because I recognize Nakasawa and Horri's names. The others are INSPIRE Rebellion Faction - I think but those two big names should help the team win.

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Eiji Hamacho

- you could make this any stip you wanted adn Kikkawa wins short of Godzilla running in, even then it ends in a draw.

CC Spot Challenge: Yasuhiko Taira vs Tadakuni Toshusai

-Creative Control Challenge! Also I've always preferred Toshusai... I think.

The Rebellion (Shimedzu & Miyamae) vs Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate)

- The Rebellion are amazing and the Snoww Lizzards aren't established yet.

Junior Contenders Circle: The Awesome Kiyaru vs Marihito Masuko

- Best Mask in Japan!

Sensational Dragon & American Optimus vs Elemental III & Super Joshuya

- Super Joshuya seems to be the weak link here, although he might be over enough to steal a victory.

Black Cobra & Golden Scorpion vs Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji)

- I think the named tag team picks up the win as Black Cobra more than holds his own but UE need to look dangerous in the Junior Tag Division.

John Pathlow vs Kansuke Konda

-I've never liked the monkey, masked or not.

Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM) vs The Incredible Koyama & White Samurai

- Samurai jobber-san.

Fukusubaru Inao vs Toshiki Shibanumo

- Picked because he had one more vowel in his name. Yes, that's honestly how I picked this epic encounter!

Predictions Form:

Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kinnojo Horri & Takayuki Onodera vs Tasuku Iesada, Masaaki Okazaki & Mike Watson

Draw

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Eiji Hamacho

Warm up for Kikkawa

CC Spot Challenge: Yasuhiko Taira vs Tadakuni Toshusai

Mullet head holds his spot

The Rebellion (Shimedzu & Miyamae) vs Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate)

setting up their run to the title

Junior Contenders Circle: The Awesome Kiyaru vs Marihito Masuko

havent seen much from Masuko but I am expecting him to be in the mix

Sensational Dragon & American Optimus vs Elemental III & Super Joshuya

Elemental has the pedigree to live up to.

Black Cobra & Golden Scorpion vs Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji)

Cobra and Scorpion are higher on the ladder

John Pathlow vs Kansuke Konda

Pathlow has been quiet this tour

Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM) vs The Incredible Koyama & White Samurai

the others are jobbers

Fukusubaru Inao vs Toshiki Shibanumo

only because I vaguely remember his name and not the other guy.

Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kinnojo Horri & Takayuki Onodera vs Tasuku Iesada, Masaaki Okazaki & Mike Watson

Onodera seems to be the odd man out here so he gets pinned here

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Eiji Hamacho

No way Kikkawa looses here.

CC Spot Challenge: Yasuhiko Taira vs Tadakuni Toshusai

After chescking who these guys where (for some reason those japanese names always escape my memory) I give this one to Taira.

The Rebellion (Shimedzu & Miyamae) vs Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate)

Younger, better and higher on the card, easy.

Junior Contenders Circle: The Awesome Kiyaru vs Marihito Masuko

you have probably noticed but I usually pick younger guys in toss up situations and that is the case here.

Sensational Dragon & American Optimus vs Elemental III & Super Joshuya

Joshuya seems like the least important of these four so I presume that he takes a pin here.

Black Cobra & Golden Scorpion vs Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji)

Cobra + Scorpion = instant win in my books

John Pathlow vs Kansuke Konda

Konda is decent but if Pathlow is going to get anykind of push now this is a good match to start it

Little Fury (Yoshii Shiomi & VENOM) vs The Incredible Koyama & White Samurai

Hey, it´s seems like VENOM could actually get a win here

Fukusubaru Inao vs Toshiki Shibanumo

After checking who these guys are I still don´t have any idea about this so I go with slightly younger guy here.

Could actually see this one going either way, but I think INSPIRE take teh win.

Non Title: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Eiji Hamacho

I think this one is non title as Hamacho hasn't earned that, not because Kikkawa is going under.
