The Rise and Fall of DUSTY BIN

Recommended Posts

First chapter in a series of articles.

It was April 1st 2048.

I had been covering wrestling for Total Extreme Wrestling's virtual magazine for the past five years, ( They had stopped using paper about 25 years ago, shifting to a completely digital holographic format) and I was given the dream assignment. A chance to interview the most spectacular and polarizing figure of wrestling for the first half of the twenty first century. A man who was bigger than Sam Strong, Rip Chord and Tommy Cornell combined.

Of course I am speaking of the one and only lifetime heavyweight champion ( a title he was awarded when there were literally no other worthy contenders available, him having beaten them all) Dusty Bin.

His titles and accolades are too numerous to mention and would fill up the rest of this article alone, so let me just skip right to highlights of his remarkable career. It started humbly enough with a gimmick that seemed destined to fail, yet blossomed into one of almost cult icon status, that of the performance artist BinDust. Using the mantra of Pain as his art, and the body of his opponent as his canvas, BinDust would put on a performance of his art during each of his matches and invariably, as he was getting his hand raised in victory over his battered opponent he would utter his soon to be legendary trademark catchphrase " You will never forget the name of....... BINDUST!!!!!!!!!!!"

It was with some trepidation that I approached the big man, who still radiated raw charisma and a sense of power even at the age of 64. His biceps still bulged under his shirt, and the coiled tension in his muscles still spoke of a man who could still tear apart men half his age with ease. Yet the deep glimmer of intelligence shining in his eyes bespoke of the wisdom of ages as well. He motioned me to sit on the chair beside him on the veranda of his opulent home in the more expensive part of Ontario and as I set up my recorder and began organizing my notes, surprised me with some insightful observations of the current wrestlers today like Bobby Keith and Matty Faith and Tommy Cornell Jr.

I was finally ready to begin the interview , touching on his meteoric rise to prominence in the 2010 decade....

to be continued

Spoiler : APRIL FOOLS

Yeah I didn't really think it would fool anybody, especially since I threw this together at the last second while I am at work. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Anyway, must get over to D-Mack's real diary and catch up with it and get predicting. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
