The funny thing is I thought the exact same thing when I saw that stupid Left Swipe commercial. Now I am not a millennial so this commercial is not meant to target me, but I would think that whomever they are paying to come up with the concept for their commercials could come up with a better idea than that.

 

You got the hipster version of Grizzly Adams talking about how he wouldn't date a hot chick who is pictured with a cigarette. When I saw that commercial I remember thinking to myself, "Dude you're the hipster version of Grizzly Adams. That chick might be smoking those cancer sticks but she is still way out of your league so really you're saving yourself the rejection because she would probably have nothing to do with you anyways."

 

I am not even sure why they have that Fifth Harmony like group in the commercial. I guess the thinking is if they have a bunch of hot chicks telling you not to smoke guys will listen.

 

People are going to smoke no matter what. I am not sure if there is a way to deter them from doing so. I mean shoot if having people talk out of their tracheostomy hole isn't a determent, I am not sure what is.

 

I know this is kind of old to be replying to, but I really like the new TvTropes layout as well. I could barely navigate the site on its mobile version before, and now it runs perfectly.

So i didn't think anyone under 50 with NO computer knowledge existed in the world anymore.

 

My sister called me to tell me her computer had a virus and she was going to go to best buy to get it fixed and it would cost her 200 bucks.

 

After listening to her it took me 2 and a half hours to walk her through what to do.

 

Basically she bought the laptop for her daughter in August, on the first day she had it, she got a virus called Spyware clear. I've never heard of this one before, so she turned it off and never touched it again till today.

 

I walked her through how to restore the image, download a new browser (not IE) and so on. Now telling her to left click or right click, I swear to jello, she thought I meant on the word, like the right or left side of the word...I was baffled.

 

So I finally got it done and I was just so confused at the lack of knowledge she had.

 

Sorry end of rant, just my ear hurts and I'm still stunned she had no clue what a search bar was....

That was mainly a joke post with a little truth behind it. The fact of the matter is due to automatic bids there are lesser teams that make it into the NCAA tournament who are simply not better than some of the teams in the N.I.T.

Sorry for the back-to-back post but my last post was almost a year ago so...

 

I was just watching television and a commercial came on for Chuck E. Cheese. Anyway they were touting how they are no longer just for kids and they talked about their new pizza. What made me laugh was they said their pizza beat Pizza Hut in a taste test.

 

I am sitting there thinking to myself, "Hell that is not much of an accomplishment. You put crap on a piece of toast and it would beat Pizza Hut in a taste test."

I sat there for a couple of seconds in awe of this stupidity or joke. The reason why the drummer of Nirvana and the lead singer of the Foo Fighters lookalike is because...well...uh...<strong>it is the same damn person</strong>! I went to a Gamestop today on payday to buy NBA2k17, only to find a litany of people in line for the new Pokemon Sun & moon that came out. The lady managing the lines told me it's about a 45-minute wait from what she's seen and it's gonna be going on all day (possibly all weekend too).

Another of those sites has the 'bait' page with a picture of Jack Lord, the original McGarret from Hawaii 5-0, with the caption reading "What Jack Lord looks like now will amaze you". Um, he passed away in 1998. Fact check folks, fact check....

 

I remember one time seeing one that said the exact same thing you wrote about Jack Lord only replace it with the cast of Bonanza. Seeing how I believe the entire cast of Bonanza is dead (Don't quote me on that because I am too lazy to look that up), I am not sure I want to see what the cast of Bonanza looks like now.

They did not let you get ahead of the Pokemon people? That is odd, because I remember when GTA: San Andreas came out they were allowing non-San Andreas customers cut the San Andreas people. Granted that was years ago but I thought they would still do the same thing.
