USPW - What? This Again?

Recommended Posts

I am away from my computer for a few days on Thanksgiving vacation and I see THIS?!?!?!?!?!? Tommy Cornell in USPW?!?!?!? This. Is. Awesome.

Hate I missed those last predictions, so I'll probably never catch up in the big competition...oh well. I'm sticking with this, as it is my weekly USPW fix.

Non Title: Bruce The Giant vs. Freddie Datsun

I gotta hand it to you, Freddie...you're a brave soul.

DeMento and Andre Jones vs. James Prudence and Alex Braun

Would be a toss-up, then I realized who DeMento is.

JD Morgan vs. Acid

Honestly, we don't care about any Brit besides Tommy Cornell now.

Anger vs. MAW Wrestler American Patriot

Who said America needs more jobs?

Non Title: Belle Bryden vs. Joanne Rodriguez

Sweet, sweet J-Ro...forgive me. But it seems like management's not pushing you right now.

Non Title: Nikolai Taktarov vs. Chris Caulfield

In Soviet Russia, you no job to World Champion, World Champion job to...wait, that's not right.

Fan Sign(s): "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death (Like Always)!"-American Patriot and J-Ro, Will You Marry Me?

I really like this storyline angeldelayette, but as you said, people will either love it or hate it. You aren't actually going to have a Sam Strong vs. Tommy Cornell match are you? Because I don't think that that match would get a very high rating (at least not compared to other matches that you could do), and it would use up an appearance on Tommy's "On Loan" contract. Can't you only have 3 appearance at the max on a "On Loan" contract?

Interesting and controversial angle there bringing in Cornell, look forward to see where you go with this one.

Strong vs Cornell would score great in USPW,

Pop fed and Sams performance skills are still better than half the USPW roster, put him in with a wrestling god like Cornell and combine both their popularities, it would be the highest scoring match Angel could have in USPW I'd think.

Would be brilliant to read as well, kinda like Hogan vs Rock for me just Rock having more political power haha

My reaction to the Tommy Cornell storyline, was one off 'oh that's a shocker, Tommy Cornell in USPW ?!'- I must say I marked out at first but then I stuck my TEW smark cap on and must say I had a reaction to the idea of Tommy coming over to USPW being a bit on the ridiculous side.

But I must say you did a good job of explaining just why you have managed to bring Tommy in to USPW and as long as this continues to be well written, I'll still be along for the ride. :)

I see this being perfect. Gotta love Cornell coming to USPW. In my first game in the TEW 2010 demo, I used USPW and signed a working agreement with TCW. The principle of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Bringing Cornell over, while unlikely, makes some sense. This could end up pretty cool.

For the record, I brought over Sam Keith under a "Big League Star" gimmick and feuded him with Nicky Champion to get Champion some free overness against someone who wouldn't be in my company long. Looking forward to seeing what you do here.

Love the Tommy Cornell deal.

I knew that bringing Tommy in would definitely bring forth some controversy as to the right's and wrong's of it. What I am definitely glad about is that it seems I haven't lost any of my readership because of this one decision. That being said, do not expect to see Tommy or any of the TCW guys brought in on every show. I have Tommy himself for three shows right now, including the one last time where he debuted. Bruce The Giant makes his debut on TCW Presents Total Wrestling this week as you will see shortly when I post the two show results.

TK, I was definitely hoping for that mark-out moment if even for just a moment. So it's good to know that I received that.

As far as other TCW wrestlers coming over, the main one that I want to bring over specifically is Sam Keith. The reason for that is that one of his sons is in the promotion so he just might want to come over.

Thanks for all the replies and comments and predictions and everything. I hope I can definitely make it worth your while to keep coming back.

Non Title: Bruce The Giant vs. Freddie Datsun

Having just lost to Bryan Vessey on TCW TV, Bruce'll want some revenge. Datsun's getting squashed!

DeMento and Andre Jones vs. James Prudence and Alex Braun

The DeMento discovery sways this one...

JD Morgan vs. Acid

I see Acid as more of a 'name' in this USPW.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 4 May 2010

Location: Louisiana Auditorium (South East)

Attendance: 6,758

Overall Rating: B

TV Rating: 1.71

Last week on USPW American Wrestling:

  • The BIG news coming out of last week's episode was the appearance of TCW Owner Tommy Cornell in a USPW ring! Tommy came out during Sam Strong's State of USPW Address and challenged Sam to a match. Sam stated that he is retired but is willing to give Tommy a fight at Declaration Of Independence against a USPW wrestler. If Tommy wins, he faces Sam at USPW Last Man Standing in June.
  • Eve Grunge debuted, defeating veteran wrestler Joanne Rodriguez, hooking the tights to get the win.
  • Bruce The Giant and American Patriot stood toe to toe backstage. Does MAW Wrestler American Patriot have what it takes to defeat the USPW National Champion?
  • Alicia Strong picked up a victory over Belle Bryden in a mixed tag team match where Alicia teamed up with Acid and Belle teamed up with Enygma.
  • Andre Jones gave a strong showing but eventually fell to USPW World Champion Chris Caulfield in the main event.

[Hello everyone and we are right here in New Orleans, Louisiana and the Louisiana Auditorium for some exciting USPW American Wrestling action! What a night we have for you tonight, including several of our Champions fighting in one on one competition. Speaking of Champions, the crowd gets on their feet as the music of the Hardcore American Chris Caulfield begins to play! Chris steps out and raises the USPW World title belt to a humongous ovation from this crowd. He slides the belt around his waist and then walks down to ringside, high fiving the fans who are in the first couple of rows. He pauses and grabs a microphone before he enters the ring. He takes sight of the crowd and listens as a 'Caulfield' chant rings out through the audience. A smile slips across his lips as he brings the microphone there.]

Chris Caulfield

"The wrestlers just keep on coming who want to step into the ring with the Hardcore American. We are not too far away from Declaration Of Independence. It will be live and only on pay-per-view as I step into the ring for the final time with Darryl Devine. Darryl, I have beaten you on several occassions but you're absolutely right: you were never pinned and you never submitted. But you still lost. I was still the one with my hand raised at the end of the match. The same thing is going to happen on Saturday night. I am going to walk away with my USPW World title. I --"

[Chris almost laughs as he is interrupted again this week. This time by the sounds of the Russian National Anthem.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/RandallHopkirk_jhdangel.jpg

[Nikolai Taktarov walks out from the back and heads right for the ring with a frown on his face. Does this guy ever smile? Nikolai enters the ring and is given a microphone]

Nikolai Taktarov

"Ohhhhhh! So you're the big and bad USPW World Heavyweight Champion? Well, let me tell you who I am. I am undefeated, unbeaten Russian Machine Nikolai Taktarov. And that belt around your waist? It's coming back to Russia with me."

Chris Caulfield

"First of all, you've had, what, two matches here in USPW? That's two in a row, not quite a winning streak. But let's go ahead and make this official: Chris Caulfield versus Nikolai Taktarov later on tonight. Why not, right? Maybe I can beat some sense into you Hardcore American Style!"

[Chris threw the first punch and the fight was on! Chris and Nikolai exchanged punches and the locker room exploded to seperate these two. Darryl Devine has to be sitting pretty right now with Chris taking on Nikolai just days before he steps into the ring with the Mighty Fine one.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

Non Title

Bruce The Giant vs. Freddie Datsun

[A very good match and a very good way to start things off here on USPW American Wrestling. 'The American Everyman' is definitely no pushover for the USPW National Champion. Freddie does everything he can to avoid getting caught up within the grasp of Bruce The Giant. He uses a hit and move technique employed by nearly every opponent of Bruce's. The knees are a frequent sore spot for the USPW National Champion. Freddie made the mistake of going for the Patriot Press and it went all downhill from there as Bruce just landed right on top of Datsun. Bruce dominated from there on out, cinching on a bear hug and then dropping Datsun on his back as one of the highlights. Bruce grabbed Datsun around the throat and lifted him up -- Giant Choke Slam! Bruce put a foot on Datsun's chest: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bruce The Giant (Via Pinfall @ 5:50)

Match Rating: B

[The announcers spoke about the matchup made earlier on between Chris Caulfield and Nikolai Taktarov. Does the Russian Machine have the match of the Hardcore American?]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DustyBin_alt.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AndreJones.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JamesPrudence.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AlexBraun.jpg

DeMento and Andre Jones vs. James Prudence and Alex Braun

[The unintentionally comedic duo of DeMento and Andre Jones came out first to boos from the crowd. Andre was accompanied by Henry, of course, and DeMento kept having to adjust his mask to make sure it didn't cover his eyes. This match was mostly a showcase for Prudence and Braun, who dominated things from start to finish. About an average match that ended when Prudence locked DeMento in the Prudential Pain Plan and used the mask for extra leverage to get the submission win.]

Winners: James Prudence and Alex Braun (Via Submission @ 5:42)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TravisCentury.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ShawnGonzalez_jhd.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JDMorgan.jpg

[Following the win, The Hardcore Brotherhood came running down to the ring! Prudence and Braun fought them off at first but the numbers game overwhelmed them and Century dropped Prudence with a Salvation DDT! Century made the sign of the cross and then called off the Hardcore Brotherhood to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

[We headed backstage to the locker room area and the loud resounding cheer from the crowd could only be for one man: USPW Owner Sam Strong! A 'USPW' chant began ringing through the crowd as Freddie Datsun stepped in and shook hands with Sam.]

Freddie Datsun

"Sam, Mr. Strong, thank you for giving me this opportunity. I promise that I won't disappoint you."

Sam Strong

"I know you won't, Freddie. Saturday night when you step into the ring with Tommy Cornell the crowd will be absolutely electric, brother. But I know you can handle it. You are a former USPW World Champion and Saturday night you will prove why."

[so Freddie Datsun is USPW's representative to take on Tommy Cornell? That should be an excellent match!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JDMorgan.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Acid.jpg

JD Morgan vs. Acid

[A very interesting match that was a conflict of styles with the aerial game of Acid going up against the technical expertise of JD Morgan. Both men know their hardcore skills as evidenced by their former association with DaVE. The hardcore was on display early in the match as it started outside the ring with the ring steps, the ring post and the guardrail all used as either weapons or springboards. Acid even hit a cannonball splash off the ring apron! As Acid celebrated, he stared at a sign reading: 'The Hardcore Brotherhood will win against USPW!' and then just shrugged it off. Back inside the ring, JD Morgan took Acid down to the mat and tied him up in various submissions but Acid always either managed to make it to the ropes or break the hold. Morgan went for the Cross Atlantic Stretch but Acid was able to get out of it before it was locked in. As Acid started to build an advantage, the attention turned to the crowd as someone began walking through the audience and down toward the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma_alt1jt.jpg

[it's Enygma! The crowd boos this silent masked man. He will be taking on Acid at Declaration Of Independence in an 'I Quit' match. Acid tried to ignore the looming presence of the former USPW World Champion. He took down Morgan with a body slam and headed up top -- Acid Rain Bomb! He makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- ENYGMA VARIATION! Enygma yanked Acid off of JD Morgan, hooking on the Enygma Variation! The referee calls for the bell and this match is over!]

Winner: Acid (Via Disqualification @ 7:49)

Match Rating: B-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/AliciaStrong.jpg

[We head backstage again and once again we are taken to the locker room of Sam Strong. This time the USPW Owner is sitting on a bench with his daughter Alicia sitting beside him.]

Alicia Strong

"You're not seriously going to go through with this if Freddie loses, are you?"

Sam Strong

"I have to, Alicia. I gave my word."

Alicia Strong

"I understand that, Dad, but why Freddie Datsun? Why not Nicky?"

Sam Strong

"Have you seen Nicky lately? I think that blow from Bruce jarred something lose in his mind, daughter."

Alicia Strong

"Yeah but I still think he could do the job."

Sam Strong

"That's what I would be afraid of."

[sam sighs and pats his daughter, giving her a hug but Alicia has a very worried look on her face.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/DemonAnger.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BulldozerBrandon_alt2.jpg

Anger vs. MAW Wrestler American Patriot

[Other than a small USA chant during the match, the fans really didn't seem to care about this one either way. There were a couple of signs out in the crowd during this match, including: 'TCW: No Demon Anger = No Fun' and '"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death (Like Always)!"-American Patriot' It was a back and forth contest between these two with Anger being constantly distracted by his Coca Cola Bottle. Anger went for the Demon Slam but Patriot managed to wiggle his way free. He dropped Anger with an Inverted Piledriver also known as the Patriot Bomb! He made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: MAW Wrestler American Patriot (Via Pinfall @ 5:33)

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[The crowd did cheer the bit of an upset here but booed when USPW National Champion Bruce The Giant walked down to the ring. Bruce stepped over the top rope but was met immediately by American Patriot! The two men exchanged punches time and time again! Referees and Road Agents came spilling from the back to seperate these two men. What a matchup this should be at USPW Declaration Of Independence!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/BelleBryden.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/JoanneRodriguez.jpg

Non Title

Belle Bryden vs. Joanne Rodriguez

[The one thing that truly seperates USPW apart from the other big two promotions is the women's wrestling. And one would be hard-pressed to find a bigger rivalry in women's wrestling than between Belle Bryden and Joanne Rodriguez. These two women absolutely hate each other with a passion unrivaled even by the men. Both of these women are nearly identical in wrestling style, which makes the match even more interesting whenever these two are involved. This particular match began as a technical match with several go-behind takedowns and a solid gut-wrench suplex by Belle for a two count. Not to be outdone, though, J-Ro fired back against Belle, using some aerial tactics, including a cross body over the top rope and outside the ring when Belle tried to take a powder! J-Ro got the crowd fired up and pointed toward a sign, blushing: 'J-Ro, Will You Marry Me?'!]

[The match continued to go back and forth inside the ring until Belle decided to throw the rulebook out the window. She raked the eyes of J-Ro and then choked her on the middle rope, sitting on her back to add extra pressure. Belle raked the back of J-Ro with her nails and went for the Dish of the Day but J-Ro ducked! J-Ro kicked Belle in the gut and went for the J-Rocker but Belle got out of it -- Dish of the Day! This time Belle connects with that big kick and she makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! Belle takes momentum with her into USPW Declaration Of Independence where she defends her USPW Women's title against Alicia Strong!]

Winner: Belle Bryden (Via Pinfall @ 8:02)

Match Rating: C

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/RandallHopkirk_jhdangel.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

Non Title

Nikolai Taktarov vs. Chris Caulfield

[it is main event time right here in the Louisiana Auditorium! What a powerful main event this should be. The evil Russian came out first to boos and chants of 'USA, USA, USA!' Then the crowd really cheered when the USPW World Champion walked out from the back. Chris Caulfield paused by a fan holding up a sign reading: 'How many Cauliflower ears does a Caulfield have if a Caulfield could have Cauliflower ears?' He gave his bandana to the fan and then high fived some more fans on his way down to the ring. As soon as he entered the ring he had to duck a clothesline from Taktarov! He turned and booted the Russian in the gut and tossed him through the ropes to the floor. Caulfield raised his fists to cheers from the crowd as he stepped back and waited for Taktarov to get to his feet. The Russian was not happy but when does he ever look happy? Practically never? Taktarov pulls himself back into the ring and faces off with the Hardcore American.]

[These two showed that they have pretty good chemistry once inside the ring, though selling was a bit of an issue within this match. Caulfield started with some technical work, focusing in on the arm of Taktarov. He used several arm wringers, armbars and hip tosses to keep Taktarov off his game. The Russian Machine continued to charge forward throughout these assaults, though. He used the hair of Caulfield, yanking him back into a corner and pounding on him with rights and lefts. Taktarov kicked Caulfield in the gut and then laid him out with a big forearm to the back. The Russian Machine went down and hooked on a Camel Clutch! The crowd booed and started up with the 'USA, USA, USA' chant once again as Taktarov had the Camel Clutch locked on strongly. Caulfield would never say die, however. He would not give up no matter how much strain Nikolai put on his back. The crowd really started getting into it and Caulfield began to work his way up with a wide-eyed Nikolai Taktarov on his back! Caulfield turned and dropped backward, effectively breaking the hold! Both men lay out on the mat, trying to catch their breath as the referee began the ten count. At around five, both men started to stir. At seven, Caulfield regained his feet. At nine, Taktarov did the same.]

[The two men met in the center of the ring and began slugging it out! Just who would the better, tougher brawler be? Taktarov started to gain the advantage! He sent Caulfield for the ride -- Russian Sickle! He just took down the USPW World Champion with that vicious Russian Sickle! The undefeated Nikolai Taktarov called for the win and picked up Caulfield. He hooked him between his legs. He's setting up for the Russian Bomb! He lifts Caulfield up, Caulfield slips out behind him! Caulfield tosses a couple of forearms to the back and hooks him -- Danger Drop! The Danger Drop connects! Chris Caulfield crawls over and makes the cover, hooking the leg:]

Winner: Chris Caulfield (Via Pinfall @ 8:27)

[What a big win for the Hardcore American! As Chris Caulfield got his hand raised, the curtains parted and out from the back walked his challenger for the USPW World title this Saturday night! Darryl Devine tugged Seduction out with him by the collar! Darryl made the 'belt' motion around his waist! Chris Caulfield was handed the USPW World title belt! Caulfield raised the belt high as Devine stared him down and we're out of time! We'll see you this Saturday night!]

To me, the heels are the more exicting pair

The champs must retain... seriously

USPW Women's Title Match: Belle Bryden defends vs. Alicia Strong

Champ retains

USPW National Title Match: Bruce The Giant defends vs. American Patriot

Not a chance for AmPat but I think he'll look strong. I can see him getting a USPW contract

If Tommy Wins, He Faces Sam Strong At Last Man Standing Next Month: Tommy Cornell vs. Freddie Datsun

Even if you wanted to Tommy wouldn't let you and it sets up this monster of a match

"Breaking The Silence Match," I Quit Match, The Words I Quit Must Be Uttered By One Of The Participants To End The Match: Enygma vs. Acid

He's on the longer contract and he's your highest paid guy (or one of) love the Breaking the silence tagline

Can't see Seduction with Caulfield, but then is it too soon for Devine, I have a feeling this will end continue the feud by having Devine want Seduction, back really difficult choice

Tag Team Grudge Match: Shawn Gonzalez and Travis Century vs. Alex Braun and James Prudence

Hardcore Brotherhood need to look threatening and dominant early on in this feud.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Titans defend vs. Anger and Andre Jones vs. American Elemental and Captain USA

Titans destroy both teams in pretty short order.

USPW Women's Title Match: Belle Bryden defends vs. Alicia Strong

Too early in the feud for Strong to regain the belt

USPW National Title Match: Bruce The Giant defends vs. American Patriot

American Jobber doesn't stand a chance

If Tommy Wins, He Faces Sam Strong At Last Man Standing Next Month: Tommy Cornell vs. Freddie Datsun

Cornell isn't coming in to job to Datsun, next month we get the 'pleasure' of seeing if Tommy can carry Sam Strong's broken down ass to a barely watchable match :p

"Breaking The Silence Match," I Quit Match, The Words I Quit Must Be Uttered By One Of The Participants To End The Match: Enygma vs. Acid

I'm with E-Mark on this one, this one ends as a draw with neither man willing to break their silence.

USPW World Title Match, Seduction On The Line, Only Pinfalls And Submissions Count: Chris Caulfield defends vs. Darryl Devine

Seduction finally turns on Devine, to ensure that Caulfield stays as World Champion.

Tag Team Grudge Match: Shawn Gonzalez and Travis Century vs. Alex Braun and James Prudence

Gonzo doesn't like losing, and Century's the bomb. Never have liked Braun and Prudence will just take the fall here.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Titans defend vs. Anger and Andre Jones vs. American Elemental and Captain USA

You don't know how bad I wanted to pick AmEl and Captain USA...I think I would have picked them to win IF AmEl had a better tag team partner. Like, anyone with control over their bladder and non-artificial hips.

USPW Women's Title Match: Belle Bryden defends vs. Alicia Strong

"But, Daddy...I want the title NOW!!!" Too bad.

USPW National Title Match: Bruce The Giant defends vs. American Patriot

Holy Toledo. I don't think I've ever seen so giant of a squash for a title match.

If Tommy Wins, He Faces Sam Strong At Last Man Standing Next Month: Tommy Cornell vs. Freddie Datsun

Like Tommy Cornell is gonna lose to a washed-up DAVE guy.

"Breaking The Silence Match," I Quit Match, The Words I Quit Must Be Uttered By One Of The Participants To End The Match: Enygma vs. Acid

One of them would die before saying a single word.

USPW World Title Match, Seduction On The Line, Only Pinfalls And Submissions Count: Chris Caulfield defends vs. Darryl Devine

Seduction finally gets tired of Devine and turns to help CC retain the belt, like he should.

"Breaking The Silence Match," I Quit Match, The Words I Quit Must Be Uttered By One Of The Participants To End The Match: Enygma vs. Acid

USPW World Title Match, Seduction On The Line, Only Pinfalls And Submissions Count: Chris Caulfield defends vs. Darryl Devine

Aaargh! Don't make me choose! Seduction hits Devine to give Caulfield the win, joining him. Or not...

USPW DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE!

Saturday Week 4 May 2010

Location: The Dust Bowl (South East)

Attendance: 15,000

Overall Rating: B

PPV Buyrate: .69

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/TommyCornell_alt5.jpg

[The pay-per-view kicks off with a clip from earlier this evening within the parking garage outside The Dust Bowl. A long white limousine pulled up and then came to a stop. The chauffeur got out and walked to the back, opening the door. Several armed security guards stepped from inside the limousine and then out came TCW Owner Tommy Cornell. Tommy had that arrogant smirk on his lips as he looked out toward the building.]

Tommy Cornell

"I've sold-out much better buildings than this crummy joint."

[Tommy shook his head as the security got both in front and behind him and they all began walking toward the building, disappearing inside.]

Tag Team Grudge Match

Shawn Gonzalez and Travis Century vs. Alex Braun and James Prudence

[The opening contest here on USPW Declaration Of Independence was slightly over-shadowed by that previously mentioned arrival of Tommy Cornell. Mitch Naess, Davis Ditterich and Eric Tyler all welcomed everyone watching at home to the show. Shawn Gonzalez spent the early moments within the ring being beaten back and forth by Braun and Prudence. Gonzalez managed a rake to the eyes of Prudence and tagged in Travis Century. Century came in and took down Prudence with a suplex before standing over him and making the sign of the cross. He turned and ran toward Alex Braun, punching Braun off the apron! Prudence's body began to shake like he was going into convulsions? What in the world did Century do to him? Century grabs the shaking body of Prudence and hooks him -- Salvation DDT! Century makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! As Century rises, Prudence can be seen with a smile, an almost angelic look on his face.]

Winners: Shawn Gonzalez and Travis Century (Via Pinfall @ 7:12)

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/FreddieDatsun.jpg

[We are taken backstage via the USPW-Tron where a body is seen slumped over against a row of lockers with one locker down on top of his body! EMTs have entered the room, pushing the lockers out of the way to reveal 'The American Everyman' Freddie Datsun! He is unconcious on the ground and bleeding from the forehead like a stuck pig! What does this do to his match with Tommy Cornell later on?]

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Titans defend vs. Anger and Andre Jones vs. American Elemental and Captain USA

[Total and complete domination. Much to no one's real surprise, The Titans dominated all four of their opponents. American Elemental tried to use his speed to his advantage but he was caught by Tyson Baine and literally thrown from the ring into the second row of the audience! Inside the ring, Anger took a Hades Bomb while Captain USA was locked in the Jurassic Crush! USA gave up at the same time that Tyson Baine gained a three count on his pinfall. Shane Sneer smiled outside the ring. What total domination by the USPW World Tag Team Champions!]

Winners: The Titans (Via Pinfall @ 8:06; The Titans retain the USPW World Tag Team titles.)

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SaraSilver.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Acid.jpg

[We headed backstage once again via the USPW-Tron where Sara Silver is shown walking down a hallway. She comes across Acid and her eyes light up.]

Sara Silver

"Acid! You have a big match coming up tonight against Enygma. Do you have any comments on the match?"

[Acid looks to her for a moment and shakes his head. He continues walking and steps into a locker room. Sara shrugs and then comes across another wrestler.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma_alt1jt.jpg

[it's Enygma! Sara pauses over by the masked man.]

Sara Silver

"Enygma, you have a big match scheduled tonight against Acid where one of you will break the silence. Do you want to say anything before that happens?"

[Enygma just stares straight ahead and then shrugs and walks off.]

USPW Women's Title Match

Belle Bryden defends vs. Alicia Strong

[A very competitive women's matchup here for the USPW Women's title. Alicia was slightly distracted with Freddie Datsun's matchup with Tommy Cornell later on tonight. This allowed Belle to gain the advantage early on. Whereas a lot of our bouts focus on brawling, this one focused on both the technical and flying aspects of the match. Alicia caught Belle outside the ring with a flying cross body. The match went quickly back inside the ring where Belle caught Alicia with a German Suplex and a bridge: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! So close! Bryden pulled Strong to her feet and sent her hard into the corner. She lifted Strong onto the top turnbuckle and climbed up, throwing several punches and then hooking for a Superplex -- Blocked! Strong throws a few punches and pushes Bryden off the turnbuckles and onto the mat! Strong climbs up and leaps -- Splash off the top turnbuckle! Strong makes the cover, hooking the leg: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Strong shakes her head and then gets to her feet. She waits for Bryden to rise up and charges -- Strong Arm Tactic -- Ducked! Strong hits chest-first into the turnbuckle and Bryden rolls her up, sliding her feet on the ropes for leverage: 1 -- 2 -- 3! Belle Bryden gets the win and the title defense! The Dust Bowl explodes into boos!]

Winner: Belle Bryden (Via Pinfall @ 6:36; Belle Bryden retains the USPW Women's title.)

Match Rating: B-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/ChrisCaulfield_alt1.jpg

[We head backstage once again. The focus is on a locker room where the USPW World Champion Chris Caulfield is sitting on a bench with the USPW World title belt sitting on his waist. His eyes are focused down on the belt just staring at it for about a minute before he looks up into the camera.]

Chris Caulfield

"Darryl, I have been doing a lot of thinking this week and you know what? You're right. I never pinned you. I never made you submit. That means that tonight I am going to do something I haven't done since winning the USPW World title. I am going to prove myself tonight just as I've proven myself every night since winning this belt. Tonight, I am going to prove that I am the best wrestler in the world. The road to that runs through a Mighty Fine Avenue. Tonight, Darryl Devine, you and I are gonna get Hardcore American Style."

[Chris looks back down at the belt on his waist and we head back to the ring.]

USPW National Title Match

Bruce The Giant defends vs. American Patriot

[A huge shot for American Patriot here. While he was making his entrance, it was announced by Mitch Naess that American Patriot has signed a contract to become an official roster member of USPW. What a huge bombshell right before the match itself. The 'U.S.A.' chant grew and grew within the crowd as Patriot faced off with Bruce The Giant. The two men exchanged blows back and forth with neither man gaining the advantage until an American Patriot clothesline took Bruce down to one knee! American Patriot showed off his strength by picking up Bruce -- Body Slam! Wow! What strength! The crowd really got into it as American Patriot went to the top turnbuckle. He perched there waiting for Bruce to get to his feet. Bruce rose up and Patriot leaped -- Goozled! Bruce caught him around the throat! He lifts American Patriot into the air -- Giant Choke Slam! The crowd boos as Bruce makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Bruce The Giant (Via Pinfall @ 6:59; Bruce The Giant retains the USPW National title.)

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/USPW.jpg

If Tommy Wins, He Faces Sam Strong At Last Man Standing Next Month

Tommy Cornell vs. Freddie Datsun

[The crowd boos as the theme music to TCW Total Wrestling plays and out walks Tommy Cornell! 'Rough Justice' has an arrogant smirk playing there on his lips as he walks down, ignoring the loud boos pouring in all around him. Cornell steps inside the ring, asking for a microphone and pointing to a sign in the crowd that reads: 'Datsun = No Chance!']

Tommy Cornell

"First of all, I am so sorry that Freddie Datsun has let every single one of you low-class, inbred USPW wrestling fans down. As we all saw earlier, he was taken to a hospital and therefore will not be able to wrestle tonight. So Baby Jamie ring the bell and count him out and declare me the victor."

[Tommy steps back from the ropes while Baby Jamie looks around for a moment. He doesn't want to count out Freddie Datsun but what else can he do, right? Instead of the sound of the bell, 'Real American' begins to play! The crowd pop out of their seats, cheering loudly!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SamStrong.jpg

[it's Sam Strong! The 63 year old owner of USPW steps out from the back with a microphone in hand.]

Sam Strong

"Interesting, Tommy. Very interesting. So you didn't want to face Freddie? Well, let me tell you something, brother! When we promise a match here in USPW we deliver. Therefore, tonight, you will be in a match in this very ring. Your opponent may not be an American Everyman but he is quite Remarkable. All of you fans please give a USPW welcome to the King of the Independents."

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/SteveFlash.jpg

Sam Strong

"STEVE FLASH!"

[The crowd goes absolutely wild! Steve Flash here in USPW? This man has all the respect of everyone within the audience, right? Flash walks out and shakes hands with Sam Strong and then runs down to the ring, sliding inside. He comes nose-to-nose with Tommy Cornell! Steve Flash has won titles in every organization he's been in and now he is here in USPW! Tommy tosses his microphone down and steps back from Flash. Tommy throws a punch! Steve retalliates with a punch of his own! Tommy! Steve! Tommy! Steve! Steve ducks -- dropkick! Tommy Cornell rolls outside the ring and comes face-to-face with Sam Strong! Sam points back toward the ring as Tommy backs away from him. Tommy looks toward the ring and Steve Flash comes over the top rope landing on Tommy Cornell! Is this a little Rough Justice for Tommy Cornell? Flash tosses Cornell back inside the ring and joins him inside, making a quick cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout!]

[Flash sends Cornell to the ropes -- HUGE SPINEBUSTER! Flash leaps over Cornell and bounces off the ropes -- Rolling Thunder -- Missed! Cornell moved out of the way and Flash landed hard on his back! Cornell picks up Flash and hooks him -- Vertical Suplex! Cornell does not release! He gets back up -- Second Vertical Suplex! Cornell swivels his hips and gets back up -- he hits the trifecta of Vertical Suplexes! Cornell makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- Kickout! Cornell gets to his feet and plays to the crowd, drawing in boos. Cornell pulls Flash to his feet and hooks him -- hangman's neckbreaker! Flash grabs his neck as Cornell gets back to his feet. Cornell pulls Flash to his feet and hooks him in a front facelock and then raises him up -- Flash blocks it! Flash blocks it again! Flash lifts Cornell -- Brainbuster! Both men lie on the mat. Flash reaches over and puts his arm across Cornell:]

[...1...

...2...

...Kickout!]

[both men are slow to get to their feet. Steve Flash looks at Tommy Cornell for a moment and then bounces off the ropes -- Leap Frog -- Cornell caught Flash in the middle of a leap frog -- Power Bomb! What a reversal! Cornell picks up Flash and hooks him for a Vertical Suplex. He bounces Flash off the top rope and then twists -- Rough Ride! Tommy Cornell hit the Rough Ride on Steve Flash! He makes the cover, hooking the leg:]

[...1...

...2...

...3!]

Winner: Tommy Cornell (Via Pinfall @ 10:37)

Match Rating: B-

[Tommy Cornell defeated Steve Flash! This means that next month at USPW Last Man Standing Tommy Cornell gets his match with Sam Strong. Tommy points to a sign reading: 'Tommy Cornell = Big Ratings and Big Wins!' Tonight that sign definitely holds true! Sam Strong enters the ring and the two men face off with each other. A staredown ensuing between the owner of USPW and the owner of TCW! Sam turns and exits the ring. 'One more month' he tells Tommy and Tommy eventually leaves to boos from the crowd!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Devine_alt1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Seduction.jpg

[We head backstage to where Darryl Devine and Seduction are sitting within their locker room. Darryl has his hand on the collar around Seduction's neck. He gives a slight tug on the collar and she moves with the tug. Darryl has a smile on his face while Seduction looks a little worried.]

Darryl Devine

"USPW fans, wrestlers, backstage attendants, whatever take a good look right here and now at thee FRANCHISE of USPW. I have been with this company for around six years. I have given this company everything that I have. I have given my beating heart! I've put my body on the line in matches inside steel cage, matches with ladders, matches with chairs. I have never been one to back off from a challenge. Tonight is just another challenge. Tonight is another match for Mighty Fine. Tonight I am going to prove what I have been saying all along: I deserve this title shot and I deserve to be the USPW World Champion! Chris, nobody's denying your skills in the ring. You can't be the USPW World Champion without having skills. But the fact of the matter is that I am just better than you. I am not only better than you, you are not even on my level. Tonight when I win the USPW World title what's it going to be Seduction?"

[seduction hesitates as she looks at Darryl. He tugs hard on the collar and she squeeks out.]

Seduction

"Mighty Fine, Darryl, Mighty Fine!"

[Darryl nods and smiles as we head back to the ring.]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Enygma_alt1jt.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/uspw2/Acid.jpg

"Breaking The Silence Match"

I Quit Match

The Words I Quit Must Be Uttered By One Of The Participants To End The Match

Enygma vs. Acid

[What a match this should be. One of these two men will break their silence and utter the words 'I Quit.' Enygma went back to his roots, starting within the audience and walking down through the crowd. He pointed to a sign that read: 'Speak up Acid!' Then he leaped the guardrail and entered the ring, awaiting the arrival of his rival and opponent. Acid came down the entrance ramp as silent as ever. He paused and pointed toward a sign: 'Enygma Was My Speech Therapist In Elementary School!' Then he stepped up the stairs and jumped off the turnbuckle to enter the ring. The two masked wrestlers are very proud, very silent but very violent. This one should be a great one. Referee Jez McArthuer has a microphone in hand and he will be the one who asks if someone wants to Quit as that is the only way that this match can end. The bell sounds and this match is on!]

[The two men start the match off slowly, knowing that this match is going to be a long one. The first turning point of the match comes when Enygma goes in for the Enygma Variation but Acid kicks him off and Enygma falls through the ropes to the outside of the ring. Acid gets to his feet and bounces off the ropes, leaping with a suicide dive through the ropes to Enygma! Acid gets cheers from the crowd as he picks up Enygma and rams him head-first into the steel guardrail three straight times! Acid and Enygma begin brawling up the entrance with Acid having the obvious advantage. Acid throws Enygma through the curtain and we follow the action with a hand-held camera. Acid rams Enygma's head into the wall and Enygma staggers away from him. Enygma ducks a clothesline and kicks Acid right between the legs! The crowd releases an 'oooooo' but Acid doesn't make a sound! Enygma motions the referee to ask Acid.]

Jez McArthuer

"Acid, do you give up?"

[Acid shakes his head. Enygma puts a couple of boots to the head and then pulls Acid up -- body slam on the concrete! Enygma steps back and gets a running start -- elbow drop! Enygma pulls Acid to his feet and slams him head-first into a table! Enygma pulls Acid up on the table and joins him up there as the crowd holds their collective breaths. Enygma tucks Acid's head between his legs. He's going for a Piledriver! He lifts Acid -- Acid struggles and fights! Acid reverses the hold with a back body drop that sends Enygma off the table and down to the concrete below. Acid takes a moment to catch his breath and then turns toward Enygma as the mysterious masked man gets to his feet. Acid runs along the table -- flying hurricanrana! Nice move by Acid! Acid picks up Enygma and sends him face-first into a locker room door and then inside the locker room. This is Darryl Devine's locker room!
