ELITE: The Bad Boys of Pro Wrestling

Recommended Posts

I love that idea! Really makes me want to get my predictions on point

Thanks, Codey!

I went back and forth on the idea; however, in the end, It felt very unique to have such a scenario at hand. Now, as a predictor, you may actually play a part in the diary itself for quite some time. It may take awhile for the new character to 'get over' (due to the lower popularity level that they'll probably have) but if the character is cool, and holds weight, then we could see them rise within the ELITE ranks over time.

I guess, think of the new prediction contest as a simple 'tough enough' kind of scenario. You're competing to see who, either by luck or skill, has a closer understanding of ELITE as a whole. Then, from there, the winner gets a chance within the ranks. I know, it's not entirely like 'tough enough', or at all haha, but that's what my mindset is right now.

I'm excited to see who wins & what character comes with that win; probably just as much as the winner will be excited to craft a new character within ELITE.

The only reason you got into a bidding war situation with Hernandez is that you and CZCW must have attempted to sign him at the sam time (which is the trigger. If you wait another week you can attempt to sign him again, but this time without the bidding war situation (I think).

Makes sense. That's what I was thinking at least. It was a cool new situation to run into (as I've never had this happen before).

Exactly. If you go and try to sign him right now, you'll probably get him for around $700-$800. Always works in my game.

Hm. I may have to look into that idea. At this point, I'm in the booking screen for the next event, so, I don't have the ability to sign anyone new. That said, I may attempt to sign him again somewhere down the line. I like the idea of a 'censorship' based stable; however, may wait a little bit to pull the trigger on it.

And, also, where is Jacob Jett?!?!? He'd kill in this kind of company.

I'm guessing he's not their because he's EXTREMELY Conservative, but I'm sure EV would have loved him to join the suicidal regime

Bingo Bango!

Jacob Jett was entirely what I had in mind for the 'Suicidal Regime'. Sadly, the poster-boy for such a division didn't want to sign on with ELITE due to the extreme nature. As LEgend says, He's really conservative so he turned me down pretty much right away. As you can guess, I was pretty boo'ish about that. ha.

Don't completely understand how a guy who lives off of being a suicidal nut (in a good way) would be EXTREMELY conservative. Besides, if he joined ELITE with all of their...female personalities...his girl Katie Cameron would probably get a tad bit jealous. Unless, of course, Katie isn't as conservative as Jett and she might could join the ELITE females. (B+ appeal, if I recall)

I agree. At first, I was pretty bent on why someone like Jett would be listed as conservative; however, in time, I came to realize that it's probably a distinction of his character versus who he is in real life. I guess look at AJ Styles. I perceive him to be pretty conservative (based upon what I know of him); however, he uses a more fast-paced in-ring approach. So, in a way, Jett may utilize a more crazier, more athletic, approach but won't necessarily be a liberal thinker overall (as it pertains to taking bumps and working for risqué companies).

So you wanna be… an ELITE Wrestler?
... Prediction Challenge # 1 ...

Have you ever had the overwhelming want to hang out with porn stars, druggies, and a bevy of realistic psychopaths? Have you ever awoke in the middle of the night with the “F-word” on the verge of your lips; doing it’s very best to expel outward in a show of absolute defiance? Are you an all-around douche-bag with a ‘God Complex’? Are you often referred to as off-beat, crazy, or a mainstream reject? If so, then ELITE Pro Wrestling should be your next employer!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, This is your chance to finally dust off those wrestling boots you bought when you were 14, swearing that you would one day main event Supreme Challenge, and climb into the only squared circle equip with the potential for sex at every turn.

Realistically, those of you who decide to leave behind your predictions, will be given a point for every right prediction made. Also, along the way, there will be ‘special bonus questions’ that can generate a point or two (depending upon how it’s laid out). In the end, the person with the most points after 6 overall ELITE Pro Wrestling shows will be given the unique opportunity to craft an ELITE Wrestler of their own!

Said winner will get 20 points in which to ‘spend’ on four different categories (much like the Quick Add scenario in TEW); These categories being: Core Skills, Athletic Ability, Ability Level, and Entertainment. So, in a sense, you can have your created wrestler be an AMAZING communicator; however, by doing so it will hurt his other abilities overall (as your spending more points on one given area then giving ‘5’ points across the board).

Also, you’ll be in full control of naming this person, his finishers, and his overall persona. In the end, when it finally comes to pass, I will PM the winner and start the process of talking through the new character. I hope, by talking together, a clear character will come together that could, potentially, be a staple figure in ELITE’s lengthy history.

With that said, Get to predicting… That is… If you have a ‘death-wish’ and want to rub elbows with the clinically insane, the overwhelmingly arrogant, and the extremely over-sexed. Sounds like fun, right?

dude,im lovin this dynasty, keep it going..

love the seediness of it all

im entering the contest and i already have someone in mind if i win

Thank you, Chikbot!

It's great to see a 'new face' swing into the thread; welcome.

ELITE, in it's most basic form, is pretty seedy. I mean, how could a company run by a Porn-King not be? haha. It's dirty, dark, and polarizing through out. I guess, that's probably why I love it so much. ;)

As for entering the contest, That's awesome to hear. I'm sure, whatever you have in mind, will be a great idea as you seem to understand the vibe I'm pushing with Shifty's ELITE Pro Wrestling. Best of luck to you!

E-V, you just don't cease to amaze me. I'm probably going to enter the contest, simply because I have something in mind. Keep up the great work with this.

Good to hear, borman_48!

Also, thank you for the nod of confidence. :D It's great to know that there are others out there, like you, who feel I can 'amaze' in any sense of the word. Sounds funny, I'm sure, but something I totally appreciate.

Great to see another 'Sconie on the boards (I was born and raised in the state).

Cheers.

Sounds great, Chikbot!

I'm actually really excited to see who wins, and what character comes from it, as it will give another unique tone to the whole ELITE experience.

As a side note, the next card will be up sometime either tomorrow or monday. I'm out of town right now, back in my hometown for a show this weekend, so I'm guessing I won't see anything come together for the next day or so. All in all, the next event is shaping up to be a crazy one overall.

There truly is 'No rest for the Wicked'... ;)

Very interesting twist on the ol'prediction contests, that makes me feel all the better for getting four from the first show... I should have gone with Kill Switch for the win, but it was always a toss up between him and Skye.

Anyway, the Circus came to town and it definitely delivered. I thought you hit all the highpoints that you really needed to with a first show. We found out a little bit about pretty much every character on your books, which is important since a lot of them have been repackaged - I make no attempts to hide my love of Victor Kahn, Hell Hound and Disco Hugh (I hadn't realised until catching up on some old diary classics that he'd popped up in PSW). But yeah, you set your stall out well with your main players. Big Cletus smashed his way into the role of number one monster heel, Matthew Keith is already skirting around title scene feeling it's his entitlement and destiny to hold the strap, Kill Switch is your non-stop-a$$-whupping machine, etc, although it's a shame Remmy will likely work on a level above the Suicidal Regime as it really suits him. New promotions need structure and you're providing that well.

Overall, the in-depth write up and early characterisations were nothing less than I expected from you E-V. My only criticism (if you can even call it that) was that I felt we should have really opened the show with Shifty's segment rather than starting cold with the mound of blubber that is Gluttonous Gary, it felt a little out of place later on. That though is possibly down to my over-exposure to Sports Entertainment where it's become engrained in my head that shows need to open with ten minute promos/angles. Of course, given Shifty's lifestyle, I'm sure he was probably pre-occupied with something else at the start of the show :p

Keep it coming.

Thank you, Sebsplex!

It took awhile to craft the show; however, I'm happy that I took my time on it all. With work, and pretty much life in general, getting in way it was best that I didn't rush anything as I'm afraid the 'Circus' would have missed the mark. With that said, It's great to know that the characters really jumped out on their own right away. With every company, and ELITE truly included, I really like to make sure that my writing style best describes these guys. That way, since you can't actually see what's happening, there is a chance that you can walk away feeling as if you could envision what took place. Without that, each show is just a bunch of words truthfully.

I was debating whether or not to put the Shifty/ELITE Beauties/Big Cletus segment in the beginning or not. In the end, I felt I was too ingrained in that very same SE style that says that you HAVE TO start with a huge angle segment. For the first time, I thought it would be more fun to put a major moment in the middle of the show and just start off with the 'tub of goo' setting the tone for the off-beat nature of ELITE Pro Wrestling. This fusion of violence, in your face action, and a dose of humor, is really where ELITE stands in my mind and I felt this was the best way to really sum that up. Plus, how can you not feel like ELITE is over-sexualized when a beauty like 'The Glutt' shows up on your computer screen. haha. jk.

All in all, Awesome to hear that you enjoyed the show! Now, I just hope the next one holds up to the original.

Cheers.

So, I have the card ready for the next show; however, I'm trying to find a way to present the card creatively without it 'breaking the bank'. Those write-ups, even for a card, seem to take a lot of time &, to be honest, it really slows things up at times. I don't want to just list their names as I feel like that is kinda 'bland' of an approach; however, I do need to find a way to make it a little more easier on me.

With that said, I'm going to mull it over today. If you have any ideas, thoughts, etc... Then let me know!

Cheers.

In a way, the more you attempt to squash it’s life-force, the more it will come back at you… Stronger, Faster, Crazier, and more ‘Suicidal’. Who will become the ‘poster-child’ for ELITE’s ‘Suicidal Regime’; walking away as the first-ever ELITE Suicidal Champion? More importantly, will this person be able to simply survive or find themselves on the verge of a career-ending injury each and every month? Either way, these men will put their entire being on the line… All in the name of, what some deem as, ‘Suicide’. </span></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Logos/ELITE-1-1.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><em>[+] The Bad Boys of Pro Wrestling [+]</em></span></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="28952" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Wrestlers/SayeedAli.jpg</span><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Wrestlers/OmarBrown.jpg</span><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/Versus/Versus10.jpg</span><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Wrestlers/SamoanMachine_alt1.jpg</span><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Wrestlers/RhinoUmaga_alt.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"><strong>Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans</strong></span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"><em>Double Knockout Match - Elimination Rules</em></span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"><em>ELITE Blood Brothers Championships Match</em></span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"> </span></div></div><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Championships/ELITE_BloodBrothers.jpg</span><span>http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab198/ELITEProWrestling/ELITE%20Championships/ELITE_BloodBrothers.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"> </span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"> There is nothing more violent, more visually jarring, then witnessing another being forcibly knocked unconscious. It only took a matter of a few minutes in which to witness our celebrated champion fall victim; barely conscious as the unruly mountain man stood over his prey much like a ferocious black bear. American Psycho vs. The Butcher vs. Mexican Beast vs. Nomad

At this stage we are still feeling out the pecking order, but as The Butcher featured fairly prominently on the first show despite picking up a loss, I'll go with the general consensus and tip him to win.

Matthew Keith vs. Rudy Velasquez

Keith looks like he could be a big star and an ideal candidate for the hypocrite role, of someone who looks down on Hardcore wrestlers. Velasquez at this stage is likely to have most of his focus as a tag guy.

Ángel De México vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. El Muerte Blanco vs. Hell Hound vs. Victor Kahn

This could be anyone's game, but right now Kahn seems to have the most prominent character and seems like the one I see the promotion getting behind as a first champion of the promotions secondary singles belt.

Cell Block X © vs. The Rabid Samoans

Whilst I don't see Elite being the sort of promotion that could pull off a shock by having the champs lose their belts in their first defence, I'll play it safe here and say that the prison thugs navigate their first title defence succesfully.

Dangerous Doug Peak vs. Remmy Skye

Whilst I wouldn't rule out Peak winning, I just get the feeling Skye is going to be pushed that little stronger.

Kill Switch © vs. Big Cletus

If this was your standard promotion, I would have gone down the whole Kill Switch winning via DQ rule, as it is I don't think you can get DQ'd in Elite. So I'd say that Kill Switch sneaks a win possibly with a roll-up to retain the belt but Cletus gets some heat back with a violent post match beatdown that see's him remain his aura as a dangerous out of control monster.

You don't bet against Kahn. This much is already established.
