Marc DuBois vs Gregory Black vs Akima Brave vs Bart Biggz vs Jungle Jack vs ???

Chaos Division Ladder Match for SWF Chaos Championship

Start out with a champ who's not a cruiserweight. A crazed, high-intensity brawler? Who better?

Steve Frehley vs Squeeky McClean

No Disqualification Match

Squeeky is a trainer, he's good, charismatic, but he's not a top guy. Steve, though, is a top guy or nothing. So he wins.

Remo & Vengeance vs Team Tenacity

SWF World Tag Team Championship Match

I want to see TT win, but against Remo and Vengeance? How?

Angry Gilmore vs Sean McFly

JOBBER TO THE STARS!

Lobster Warrior vs Brandon James

SWF North American Championship Match

Brandon has outgrown his belt. Lobby's good enough to take it off him without Brandon losing too much credibility.

Marat Khoklov vs Christian Faith

Soviet Street Fight

Khoklov wins, simple as that.

Jack Bruce vs Eric Eisen

Special Guest Referee Rich Money

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Match

JB continues to lose it. Oh, this is going to get dark.

SWF The World is Watching 2010 Preview

Marc DuBois vs Gregory Black vs Akima Brave vs Bart Biggz vs Jungle Jack vs ???

I think that Black has a good chance at winning this match, if he doesn't it will be Marc.

Steve Frehley vs Squeeky McClean

No Disqualification Match

Could go either way but I will go with Steve

Remo & Vengeance vs Team Tenacity

SWF World Tag Team Championship Match

Don't know who is on Team Tenacity but even if I don't know whos on that team I bet whoever is on it can't beat Remo and Vengeance.

Angry Gilmore vs Sean McFly

I like both wrestlers but i have to go with Sean McFly for the win here.

Lobster Warrior vs Brandon James

SWF North American Championship Match

I like Lobster Warrior better than Brandon James so that is why I am voting for him to win. If he doesn't win it should be a good match.

Marat Khoklov vs Christian Faith

Soviet Street Fight

Christian Faith should win this match, they will probably have more matches down the line where Marat could win but I believe this one belongs to Christian.

Jack Bruce vs Eric Eisen

Special Guest Referee Rich Money

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Match

I absolutely hate Eric Eisen and I will never vote for him as long as he is the champion.

Marc DuBois vs Gregory Black vs Akima Brave vs Bart Biggz vs Jungle Jack vs ???

Brave and Biggz are there to make up the numbers and take a few bumps, Jungle Jack is a possibility but I think he's just there to be the 'it's not a cruiser division guy', so it comes down to DuBois, Black and the mystery guy. The mystery guy could be a real contender or just some indy guy getitng his shot in the big leagues. I know that DuBois or Black would be the safer bets but I'm backing Triple Question Mark.

Steve Frehley vs Squeeky McClean

Faces need to win some of the matches here, so Frehley gets the clean win to stay strong.

Remo & Vengeance vs Team Tenacity

I just seem Remo & Vengeance being too dominant to lose to Team Tenacity, cleanly the only way TT hold onto the belts is winning by DQ but I'm going to go for the monster heel tandem to actually win the belts here.

Angry Gilmore vs Sean McFly

Time Limit draw, they match each other hold for hold but frustratingly for either man neither one is able to gain the victory.

Lobster Warrior vs Brandon James

Big Money keeps hold of the North American belt.

Marat Khoklov vs Christian Faith

Faith will give it his best, but I see a scenario where the Russian Monster ends up winning via knockout.

Jack Bruce vs Eric Eisen

I hate Eric Eisen, I hate Eisen with a passion and want to see him beaten to a pulp, which as scumbag heel he should be making me feel :D. Sadly for Jack Bruce and the SWF fanbase there will be no feelgood moment here as Eisen retains the title.

These work for me.

The Redbeard*Reel is a combination hype video and highlight reel, set to the event's theme song, “Vicarious” by Tool. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> The story behind opening videos is that in the late 1990s, an SWF fan who went by the online handle “Redbeard” started creating highlight videos of his favorite SWF action set to popular rock songs, then posted them on-line. The videos were incredibly slick and professional,, and they garnered quite a following. Until the SWF got wind and claimed copyright on the footage. The videos were so impressive that the promotion offered Redbeard him a job, only to discover he was only 18 years old and created the videos using basic editing software on his computer. Regardless, he was hired and he's been doing the pay per view opening videos ever since. They are a small yet very popular and much discussed part of each SWF pay per view. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> This video is mostly black and white, with plenty of slow motion to fit with the moody and melodic song. The video becomes grainy at times, and even interlaced with static. The only colors are the vibrant red of blood shown occasionally. Its an odd departure from Redbead's typical fare, but with the same polish as his standard videos. The song and video reach their conclusion with a low shot of the SWF World Heavyweight champion Eric Eisen, in glorious high definition black and white. He has the coveted title slung over his shoulder, and he looks down upon the masses with his now-trademark disdainful glare. Behind the glaring image of “The Supremacist” are a series of fireworks that gradually become the focus of the image... when the broadcast then switches to the live arena, the camera is focused on a series of pyrotechnics, making for an interesting transition. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> The Manhattan National Center is filled to capacity, with the New York City fans in full voice. The cameras swoop across the big arena, showcasing the custom set for the pay per view. The centerpiece is a giant eye and globe sign structure that sits on the center of the stage, directly in front of the Empire Gateway. The globe spins slowly, back-lit, while the eye is all lit up and a touch creepy. There are ladders set up around the ringside area already, in preparation for the opening ladder match.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: Good evening, fans! He pointedly ignores them as he makes his way down to the ring. To reinforce that he's not in the SWF to try to impress the fans, Bach doesn't wait for the bell before he attacks, climbing into the ring and immediately blindsiding Bart Biggz. Chaos erupts. Referee Shane Stones calls for the bell to officially start the action as he bails from the ring. The match is... pure chaos. There is so much going on through the opening minutes that it is difficult to keep up. It quickly becomes apparent that Jungle Lord wrestles without fear and he makes great use of the ladders as weapons. Gregory Black, who was well known for his reckless approach to such matches when he was a tag team specialist, takes a much more careful and calculated approach. There are several bigger spots through the opening ten minutes, including several nasty bumps off the ladders. Biggz and Brave take the worst of it, with the newcomer Bach getting plenty of offense. On commentary, Fry continues to make reference to the fact that he knew that Bach was the surprise number six entrant in the match, and correcting his teammates in the booth when they don't properly call him by his first name, Sammael. </p><p> </p><p> The action slows past the ten minute mark. With the remaining competitors outside the ring, DuBois and Black exchange attempts at the belt. It leads to some great, athletic exchanges on the ladders between the pair, who continue to build a rivalry. Bart Biggz is soon back on his feet and rejoins the action, followed by the remainder. The action picks up in tempo again, with a quick series of attempts to grab the belt by almost everyone. Jungle Lord quickly claims the area outside the ring as his own, making great use of the entire ringside area to inflict damage. </p><p> </p><p> Things get interesting when everyone is congregated at the base of the ramp and Jungle Lord grabs a ladder. Holding it sideways, he traps everyone on the ramp and drives them up the ramp. His purpose is unclear, but he eventually gets the group against the base of the eye and globe structure atop the stage and presses them against it. Sammael Bach, at the far end, manages to slip out beneath the ladder. He seems to briefly consider heading back down to the ring to actually grab the belt, but then disappears around the eye and globe structure. The four still-trapped wrestlers work together to push back against the bigger Lord. Its a valiant effort, though following Bach's lead and escaping would probably be easier and smarter. For his part, Bach finds a smaller ladder, leans it against the backside of the structure, and then runs up it, leaping off onto the group of wrestlers on either side of the ladder. Its an impressive dive, made all the more impressive as its basically one quick movement from the stage to the leap. Even more impressive is that Bach comes out of it unscathed. After a moment, he clambers to his feet and makes his way down to the ring. He sets up a ladder and starts to make his way up it, only to be knocked off by Black. The pair battle, exchanging strikes as they make their way up another ladder. The foursome still on the stage slowly make their way down to ringside, battling each other as they go. Bach is knocked from the ladder once again when Black swings a wicked looking kick around that catches Bach in the jaw. The newcomer drops to the mat. Black looks to have a free run at the belt, but as he gets near it, DuBois hurries into the ring and grabs onto a foot. It just keeps the fan favorite from being able to reach the belt. “Serious” tries to shake free, but its no use. Outside the ring, Jungle Lord battles with Biggz and Brave, getting the better of the two smaller workers through sheer ferocious brawling. Black continues to try to shake free of the grasp of DuBois, but “The Prodigy” will not relent. He manages to pull his rival off the ladder. Black hits the mat, rolls to his feet, and throws some kicks at DuBois. The two battle, oblivious to Bach getting back to his feet. Seeing an opportunity, he races up the ladder and grabs the belt. DuBois spots what is happening and kicks the ladder away. Bach is left dangling from the hook that holds the SWF Chaos Championship. In a great display of strength, the 225-pound wrestler manages to unclasp the belt from the hook while dangling, grabbing the belt and dropping to the mat. </p><p> </p><p> The fans give a mixed reaction to the newcomer getting the win, perhaps since his role is not clear yet. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Sammael Bach Wins at 16:02 via Retrieval</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: Wild Opener</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: Now that is a debut!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="29584" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/SqueekyMcClean2Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/VS/VS1Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/SteveFrehleySmall.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>Squeeky McClean vs Steve Frehley</strong></p><p><strong> No Disqualification Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The match is an unannounced addition, with very little build other than the match on Supreme TV and the promo prior. Still, its Frehley in a No Disqualification match, so fans are hardly unhappy about it. McClean comes down first. He grabs a chair from ringside and throws it in before climbing into the ring himself. The fan reaction for the veteran is stronger than normal, likely due to his opponent. That opponent gets a monster reaction, coming down to the ring with a look of pure serious determination of his face. As soon as "The Destroyer" hits the ring, McClean attempts to make use of the chair he has, but Frehley blocks it and blasts his opponent with several big right hands. Referee Darren Smith rings the bell and the match officially gets underway.</p><p> </p><p> The opening minutes are pure dominance by Frehley and the fans love it. The big former champion absolutely batters away at McClean. It looks to be heading into squash match territory, until McClean manages to get out of the ring for a moment. Frehley pursues him outside, determined to continue the annihilation, but McClean manages to trip the big man into a ringpost. Frehley comes away reeling, a thin trickle of blood appearing on his forehead. McClean tries to take advantage immediately, using the ringside area to batter "The Destroyer", but the fan favorite refuses to be taken off his feet. Clearly getting frustrated after a few moments of this, McClean gets the still-reeling Frehley back into the ring, grabs the chair which is still on the ring apron, and goes to work with. Some of the shots with the chair are vicious-looking, but none are unprotected direct shots to the head. Frehley is soon bleeding more heavily, driven down to his knees. McClean drops the chair and charges in at the kneeling big man, grabbing a leg and driving him to the mat, going for a pin. Frehley kicks out. McClean tries it again. Another kickout. And again, with the same result. The frustration of McClean becomes apparent. He stomps back and forth across the ring for a moment, glaring at the bleeding Frehley. He picks up the chair again and goes for another hard swing, but finds it blocked by Frehley. The fans roar as Frehley shakes his finger at McClean before laying into him with another series of big shots. It culminates with Frehley grabbing the chair and delivering several shots himself. He then tosses the chair aside, looking disgusted with both himself and his opponent. With his adrenaline surging, “The Destroyer” looks to be in clear control of the match at this point... until McClean clambers to his feet and blatantly pokes his opponent in the eye, leaving Frehley howling in pain and rage. McClean goes looking for the chair that was discarded, and when he picks it up and turns, he is hit clean with an apparent blind Dark Destroyer Spear from the raging half-blind bull. There's no way that McClean is kick out and the ref counts out the three. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Steve Frehley Wins at 14:58 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: An Ugly War</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/SteveFrehleySmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/Media/BlankPartSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/SqueekyMcClean2Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/Media/BlankPartSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/AngryGilmore2Small.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>Steve Frehley, Squeeky McClean & Angry Gilmore</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Rather than celebrating his victory, Frehley is left trying to clear his vision. McClean makes his way back to his feet, and clambers into Frehley, knocking “The Destroyer” down. For a brief moment, it appears it could have been an accident... then McClean begins to stomp away at Frehley. The referee tries to pry him away, but finds himself shoved to the mat himself. The fans vocally disapprove of the actions, and that turns into a roar of negativity as Angry Gilmore comes racing down the ramp to the ring. He joins in the attack on Frehley. McClean finds the chair and nails the bloody forehead of the victor once again, then tosses aside the now-broken weapon. Then Gilmore holds up “The Destroyer” while McClean nails him with several big punches. </p><p> </p><p> Just as the announcers begin to implore for someone out of the back to come to Frehley's rescue, the duo decide they have done enough damage. They leave the ring, knocking fists in celebration and leaving Frehley in a bloodied heap. As the duo make it to the top of the ramp, the crowd roars and they turn back to see Steve Frehley grabbing onto the ropes and haul himself to his feet. Through blurred vision and blood, “The Destroyer” glares at the pair... and they wilt a little under his hard gaze before they disappear back through the Empire Gateway. </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Ana Garcia</strong>: These attacks are disgusting and cowardly, if you ask me. </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: Disgusting... but effective.</p><p> <strong>Ana Garcia</strong>: Effective to what end, Duane? </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: To whatever they are trying to accomplish... because it seems to be working. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: The SWF World Tag Team championships will be on the line next... Each has their own entrance music. Once in the ring, they make an imposing tandem indeed. They wait for the arrival of the champions, who come out together with both of their managers. Things almost get off to an early start in this one as well – as the champions show their fans the SWF the belts they hold, a dismissive gesture by Remo is apparently regarded as a threat toward Hannah by Jack Giedroyc, who gets into Remo's face over it. That is never a good plan, and “The Alpha Dog” shoves the smaller champion away rather disdainfully. Referee Ric Young gets between them, putting himself in harm's way. </p><p> </p><p> The match does get underway with a proper start. Remo locks up with Giedroyc and the champion quickly finds himself overpowered. Remo just seems amused by it. Giedroyc is determined, and almost gets himself in some trouble. The Brit finally listens to his partner and tags out before takes too much damage very early in the match and puts the titles in jeopardy. Valiant doesn't fare too much better, however, and the early going of the match belongs to the challengers. The champions do begin to get on track when they are able to implement their game-plan, which is to utilize quick tags and maximize on their timing and teamwork. Its clearly more effective against Vengeance, who lacks the quickness around the ring of Remo, though he does boast similar power. And that proves the kink in the plan of the champions, as each of the challengers are individually too much to handle. Team Tenacity find success mostly when they work together, which is technically illegal. Despite the champions attempt to keep things under control with quick tags and teamwork, the challengers begin to take over the match. After Vengeance delivers a big Reaper Leaper to Valiant, the challengers show off some teamwork of their own, hammering him down to the mat again with a tandem shoulder block and then a tandem suplex. The monster heel duo isolate and work to destroy Valiant. Jack Giedroyc and the double managers shout encouragement, for as much as that does to help. </p><p> </p><p> The challengers are fairly methodical in their dissection and destruction of Valiant. The action slows as the tension builds. Remo even teases going for a pinfall, then continues to beat on the champion instead. After hitting a huge Remo Buster, he finally does go for a pin, and Giedroyc jumps into the ring to interrupt it, as Valiant looks incapable of kicking out. When Vengeance then tags in, Valiant makes an effort to fight back, but going shot-for-shot with “The Reaper” is always going to be a bad plan. They do, however, begin to tease the hot tag. The fans strongly urge on Valiant, who makes a valiant (ahem) effort to tag in his partner, only to be stymied several times. There is a huge roar from the fans when he finally manages to tag in Giedroyc. As expected, he comes in flying, knocking down first Vengeance and then Remo. For a moment, there is a belief that the momentum of the 275-pound Brit might carry the champions to victory... until Remo catches him on an attempted cross body block and spins it into a vicious slam. As the damage to Giedroyc continues, it becomes increasingly apparent that the champions are in real jeopardy. The dual managers wear matching stricken looks on their pretty faces. Giedroyc manages to tag out, but Valiant is nowhere near recovered from his lengthy assault, so he ends up taking a few shots and tagging back out. Giedroyc gets smashed by Remo, who moves with unnatural quickness across the ring for such a big man. It is becoming a mauling. Hannah and Dawn pace outside the ring, looking for something they can do to help their team, but short of actually interfering and getting disqualified, its up to Valiant and Giedroyc to do it themselves. And they are not finding a way.</p><p> </p><p> The assault of Remo gives way to the assault of Vengeance, then back to Remo. Soon enough, Giedroyc is no better shape than Valiant. Vengeance comes back in, using his size and power to inflict further damage. After another big Reaper Leaper, Giedroyc ends up lying face down on the mat. Vengeance kneels beside the champion, lifting Giedroyc's face up to show his two managers outside the ring, as if he is truly enjoying the evisceration of the champions. Valiant is then suddenly pulled off the apron by Remo, who came around outside the ring. "The Alpha Dog" throws the almost-broken tag wrestler into the security barriers, and then the ring apron. Grinning malevolently, "The Alpha Dog" then smashed him to the matted floor with a big Remo Buster. Valiant looks lifeless. Hannah and Dawn try to plead with the sadistic monster, but Remo just grins at them for a moment, then picks the champion up and delivers another Remo Buster.</p><p> </p><p> Back inside the ring, Giedroyc begins to mount an unlikely comeback. He drives Vengeance back with several out-of-nowhere shots... but he is stopped short of capitalizing at all by a big boot. "The Reaper" delivers a DeBones Shaker, then a Skull Krusher... And its all over. Remo and Vengeance are handed the SWF World Heavyweight championship belts while Hannah and Dawn weep over the fallen champions. The victorious duo barely celebrate before heading back up the ramp, leaving the carnage behind. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Remo & Vengeance Win at 18:11 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: Great Tag Action</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: Next up... Though just a midcard match, it has a big fight feel to it. The fans seem somewhat angry after the new tag team champions were crowned in the prior match. It makes for a strong atmosphere before the wrestlers even appear. Gilmore gets one of the strongest negative reactions of his career from the New York City fans. In return, they pop huge for “The American Tiger”, who seems almost embarrassed by the reaction. Standing down in the ring already, Gilmore looks annoyed. </p><p> </p><p> When the bell rings, Sean McFly offers a handshake that Gilmore just glares at before turning his back on his opponent in a blatant show of disrespect. “The American Tiger” holds his emotions over it. When “The Straight Edge Warrior” turns back, then two men engage and the fight is on. The start is a bit slow, with some holds and breaks. But it builds into a lightning-quick sequence of chain wrestling and reversals that has the New York City fans stunned with its sheer quality. As the match moves forward, it gradually becomes clear that while the duo are both high-level wrestlers, McFly holds just a bit of an edge, especially with better brawling abilities. Showing his frustration, the Canadian turns to his bag of dirty tricks. The series of cheap shots and illegal tactics seems to throw McFly off – honorable wrestling was also a key focus in North of the Border, so he is no longer used to facing those who take every advantage they can, and there are few better at it than Angry Gilmore. When the heel manages to control the action, he continually tries to work over McFly's right shoulder. </p><p> </p><p> The centerpiece of the match is a simple yet innovative sequence of traded arm drags, a relatively simple aspect to most matches that is turned into something special by the speed, execution, and innovative reversals that the two wrestlers display. The advantage goes to Gilmore due to the damage to McFly's shoulder. The sequence escalates when Gilmore begins to use the ropes, leading to them trading some innovative rope maneuvers, again done at a lightning pace. The match slows a bit after Gilmore throws a springboard forearm to the throat of McFly. It gains “The Straight Edge Warrior” the advantage for a short time, but it does not last as the veteran fan favorite battles back. As the match passes the twenty minute mark, the pace slows as the damage on both men accumulates. McFly tries for his trademark delayed suplex, but his shoulder gives out and he can't hold Gilmore up as long he normally would. Seemingly inspired, Gilmore pushes back hard with some quick fire offense and several cheap shots. “The Straight Edge Warrior” goes for his Anger Management Russian legsweep, but McFly anticipates it and blocks it. This leads into a long final sequence where the two men trade finisher attempts, but they are either blocked or unable to hit them cleanly. Gilmore keeps going back to his opponents should and his repertoire of dirty tricks, but McFly has the fan support as he battles valiantly. As the match passes the twenty five minute mark, both men are worn out and have little left, but they continue their battle. After several dramatic near falls, McFly manages to cleanly hit his Delorean Driver, which allows him to get the barest of three counts on Gilmore. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Sean McFly Wins at 28:12 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: Fantastic</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/AngryGilmore2Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/Media/BlankPartSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/Other%20Workers%20Small/SeanMcFlySmall.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>Angry Gilmore & Sean McFly</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> “The American Tiger” doesn't really celebrate after his narrow victory. He lurches to his feet, grinning at the fans as he leans on the ropes. Gilmore manages to pick himself up after a moment. He glares as McFly's turned back, then glares even harder when the victor turns around and offers his hand. After staring at the proffered hand for a moment, Gilmore again refuses and begins to leave the ring. With a slight shrug, McFly makes the mistake of turning his back on “The Straight Edge Warriors”. </p><p> </p><p> Gilmore takes advantage as he steps back into the ring. He moves across the ring quickly, and McFly doesn't recognize the reason behind the crowd's roar of warning. “The American Tiger” is crashed into the mat hard by a knee to the lower back. Gilmore then delivers several hard stomps to the lower back and right shoulder. The fans boo voraciously, their hatred of Gilmore palpable. He seems to consider continuing the post-match attack, but thinks better of it. He departs the ring and stomps up the ramp as Gilmore is tended to by SWF officials. Unlike the post-match attack on Frehley earlier, there is no defiant glare. </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: Another despicable act by Angry Gilmore. </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: They continue to get their point across... whatever that point may be... and whoever “they” actually are...</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/PPV/Banner/Tiny/WorldisWatchingBanTiny.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="29584" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/LobsterWarriorSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/VS/VS1Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/BrandonJames2Small.jpg</span></p><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Belts/SWF%20Small/SWFNorthAmericaSmall.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>Lobster Warrior vs Brandon James</strong></p><p><strong> SWF North American Championship Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Lobster Warrior comes out first, to a strong reception. The hate directed toward the SWF North American champion Brandon James and his manager Emma Chase far exceeds it, however. Before the bell rings, the champion and challenger stare at each other across the ring. Lobster Warrior gives James his trademark stiff, shallow bow as a show of respect. Then things get under way. After the heart-stopping drama of the previous match, this one starts slowly. They engage gradually. Lobster Warrior seems to be wary of the power that the champion possesses, while James simply seems to like toying with his much smaller opponent. For her part, Emma Chase stalks the ringside area with malicious intent. *The match is five minutes old before it really gets rolling. Things go back and forth for a bit, with each wrestler trying to impose their will upon the match. Its clear that the champion wants to keep things in his comfort zone and brawl, while Lobster Warrior keeps trying to lock his claws onto the champ and grapple, hoping to take things to the mat where "Big Money's" size advantage might not be as problematic. The champion succeeds in keeping the fight standing and begins to take over using his size. He literally runs over Warrior more than once. The much-disliked champion gradually takes over the match. He begins to inflict damage to the challenger... but the Lobster Warrior is proud and study, not so easy to defeat. “Big Money” goes for several pin attempts as the match moves past the ten minute mark, but none are really close to winning the match. </p><p> </p><p> After one of the kick-outs, Lobster Warrior kicks up to his feet. The fans start to go crazy as the “Noble Samurai of the Sea” digs deep into his shell to find his “Deep Sea Warrior Spirit”. Brandon James watches the sequence with bemusement on his ugly mug. The fans are excited to see the martial arts inspired “hulking up” sequence that Lobster Warrior rarely shows anymore. The bemused look leaves the champions face when he finds himself put on his heels by some quick-fire offense from the challenger. When James tries to batter his way out of it, he finds Warrior anticipating and countering each move. This builds for several minutes, as the belief builds throughout the arena that the Lobster may triumph over the money. Emma Chase even begins to look worried at ringside. She is already showing as much cleavage as possible beneath her open business coat, and wearing the shortest skirt imaginable that can still be called a skirt, but she tries to flash even more flesh, hoping to distract the Lobster. He is simply too focused. As he seems to have taken full control of the action, Lobster Warrior lays into the champion with a series of his trademark martial arts claw chops... and Brandon James no-sells them. He grins. Warrior and the fans are suddenly reminded of a simple fact that has helped the champion remain champion – Brandon James is a tank. He absorbs damage like few other wrestlers are capable of. Simply taking the shots that the challenger throws, James begins to throw some big shots back himself. He hammers Lobster Warrior with several big forearms, then delivers a ring-shaking suplex. Like that, the champion is back in control of the match. With his vaunted and feared “Deep Sea Warrior Spirit” mode being ineffective, the challenger seems to wilt somewhat, as if he's run out of ideas for how to find victory here. Despite James being in clear control, Emma still feels the need to interfere, reaching out to trip Lobster Warrior as he comes off the rope while mounting his comeback effort. Its unnecessary, but Emma Chase does everything to the extreme. After delivering a big Brandon Bomb Drop, the champion his his feared Big Money Move and pins the challenger. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Brandon James Wins at 15:44 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: Solid Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: Nice win for Brandon James. </p><p> <strong>Ana Garcia</strong>: Absolutely. Even moreso than the earlier Gilmore-McFly clash, this one has the texture of a “big fight”. When the intimidating Russian monster emerges, the boos nearly drown out his intimidating music. They erupt in joy when Christian Faith emerges from behind the eye and globe structure that stands in front of the Empire Gateway. He doesn't do his usual sprint to the ring, but rather walks quickly down the ramp with clear purpose, his eyes never leaving the Russian monster who stands in the ring. “The Eternal” never makes it into the ring, though – he climbs onto the apron, only to be hammered off it again by a charging Khoklov. Referee Shane Stones, who does not even bother to climb into the ring, calls for the bell. The monster climbs out of the ring and goes after the legend. The war begins on the floor. The “Soviet Science Experiment” uses the ringside area as a weapon, throwing the big legend around. Faith takes a battering, but he manages to inflict some damage himself. He particularly focuses on the legs of the big Russian, trying to chop down the tree from the bottom. While Faith does mange to inflict some damage, he takes much more. “The Eternal” is soon bleeding, hardly a a rarity in his matches. </p><p> </p><p> The match never makes it into the ring. They battle around the ringside area. Things get serious when Khoklov throws Faith across the era, into the security barrier. When he makes it to his feet, he has found a folded chair. Which he uses to great effect, battering the big man with it. Not just shots to the head, but also to the body and the legs. The chair ends up mangled. Two mighty shots to the cranium drive the Russian down to his knees and a trickle of bleed of blood appears on his forehead. With a satisfied grin, Christian Faith winds up for one more big chair smash, but with a mighty roar, Khoklov throws a massive right hand that crashes into the chair before it connects with his cranium again. The chair smashes back into the face of the veteran fan favorite, dropping him to the floor while the twisted chair goes flying. Everything stops for a moment, and that's when Emma Chase appears. She emerges through the Empire Gateway and stops atop the stage. The fans boo her, and a few even throw garbage. She just laughs. She does not move down to ringside, but stands on the stage. She gets some hard glares from both Ana Garcia and Peter Michaels in the commentator's booth, who question her motivates for showing up in this particular match. </p><p> </p><p> The arrival of Emma does give Faith a moment of reprieve, and he makes it to his feet. His face is even bloodier now, and he begins to take more punishment from his huge opponent. Khoklov goes to drive Faith's head into the ring apron, but Faith blocks it and refuses. It becomes a test of wills, which Faith wins by throwing several big elbows back at into the face of his huge opponent. They trade shots, with an energized and bloody Faith backing the Russian up the ramp. At the top of the ramp, “The Eternal” drives his forehead into Khoklov's face, then drops him to a knee with a big series of Machine Gun Faith Hammer elbows that the fans clearly love. Faith turns, coming face to face with Emma Chase. The manager of Brandon James grins and then lashes out, her foot driving hard into the little faiths. The legend is driven down to his knees and cannot take advantage of the hurt Russian. The fans rain boos on here, along with a bit of garbage, while Ana Garcia has to be restrained in the commentator's booth from going after Emma. </p><p> </p><p> “The Soviet Science Experiment” makes it to his feet first, and he picks up the still-pained Faith to begin inflicting more damage. Both men are moving more slowly now, the damage clearly taking its toll. After taking several big shows from Khoklov, Faith blocks one, then another. He responds with another series of elbows, then a kick to the knee of the giant, and finally a side Russian legsweep to drive the monster down to the metal of the stage. There is a roar from the crowd as Faith pops to his feet, but he again comes to face-to-face with Emma Chase. The same smirk and the same kick to the balls follow... but Faith isn't stupid. He blocks it, and instantly lashes out with a right hook that catches Emma right on the side of the face. She crumples to the stage.</p><p> </p><p> As the most famous manager in the wrestling world crumples into a heap on the stage, the entire arena goes silent. “The Eternal” stares down at the hated manager but he looks horrified at what he has done. He is entirely shocked by his own action. </p><p> </p><p> The silence is broken by a single voice shouting out “F*ck yeah!” The humorous outburst begins an outpouring of cheers for the action. The look on Faith's face does not change, however. He doesn't actually check to see if Emma is alright, but simply stares at her. Then he is suddenly smashed into by Khoklov, who drives the legend back into the big stage structure. The eye and globe totters as if it might tip backward, but it doesn't. Khoklov hammers his opponent with a series of Soviet Sledge forearm shots, then drives him into the structure again. Faith is offering little in the way of resistance at this point. The bloodied Faith receives a huge Russian Legend Powerbomb on the stage at the base of the sign... and then Khoklov walks away. Or seems to. He moves around behind the sign and begins to push. It teeters and wobbles... and then topples onto “The Eternal” Christian Faith. </p><p> </p><p> The crowd screams as one. The sign structure doesn't actually fall directly onto Faith, but the still-spinning globe portion pins his legs. Khoklov covers him and referee Stones counts out the three, as Faith attempts to kick out, but without being able to move his legs and the pure bulk of Khoklov, he is unable to. </p><p> </p><p> After his victory, Khoklov picks up the still unconscious Emma Chase and carries her into the back while simply ignoring the boos of the fans. When Faith frees himself and lurches to his feet, bloodied and beaten but never broken, “The Eternal” gets a huge reaction from the adoring and appreciative fans. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Marat Khoklov Wins at 16:18 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: A Bloody War</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Ana Garcia</strong>: I swear to God, when I see that bitch backstage...</p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: I cannot believe Faith hit her... The fans pop huge for the now-beloved “Lone Wolf”. He is wearing dress pants and dress shoes along with a way-too-tight referee shirt. Notably, his head is bandages. He gives the fans a small wave of acknowledgement but that its – unlike most babyfaces in the SWF, Money doesn't bother much with playing to the adoring fans. The challenger comes out next, and he gets a huge pop as well. Although “The Long Island Angel” takes the time to play to his loving fans, he has a look of determination of his face. The fans begin to boo when the champion's music begins to play and he is introduced... but he doesn't appear... “The Supremacist” makes everyone wait for almost two minutes before he decides to walk out through the Empire Gateway. The roar of hated from the fans actually drowns out the music. Carrying the SWF World Heavyweight championship belt over his shoulder, he stomps down to the ring. Bruce just glares. Eisen holds up his belt to the fans, reminding them that he is the champion here. He then hands the belt to Rich Money, pointing out to the referee that there is still a mark made with his blood on the belt. Money doesn't react – just takes the belt and hands it to the ring attendant. The referee then calls for the bell and places himself in the corner. </p><p> </p><p> The match starts slowly, as the champion and challenger circle and engage with some hesitation. When they lock up and Eisen manages to drive the challenger back into the ropes, they both stop, expecting to hear the ref calling for the break. Instead, Money is standing in the corner, looking disinterested. When he realizes they are looking at him, he waves them on. The match continues, and it quickly becomes apparent the champion is willing to do whatever is necessary to win and that he is targeting the ribs that Bruce hurt earlier in the week on Supreme TV. After Eisen drags Bruce down to the mat by his long hair, the challenger looks at the ref imploringly... and Rich Money is in the middle of a big yawn. Its almost like a comedy match... except the match is way too important for that. After delivering a scathing series of kicks, “The Supremacist” manages to grab his opponent in a Muay Thai clinch, delivering several knees to the injured ribs. When he releases the hold, Bruce collapses and the champion goes for the pin... but there is no one there to count it. Eisen climbs to his feet and charges at Money, yelling at him to do his f*cking job. Money simply waves the champion away dismissively while checking his Blackberry. </p><p> </p><p> The fans enjoy the frustration written across the face of the champion. He stomps back and forth across the ring before going back to work, but Bruce has recovered a bit. As they battle, Money actually leaves the ring. He stands beside the timekeepers table, chatting with both the timekeeper and the ring announcer. Eisen seems to realize that without referee supervision, he can cheat to his heart's content. But so can Jack Bruce, who counters the cheap shots of the champion with several of his own. The referee, meanwhile, wanders up the ram to the commentator's booth. He finds an extra headset and joins the commentating crew. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: Oh, uh, good evening Rich. </p><p> <strong>Rich Money</strong>: Evening, Peter. And you as well, Ana and Duane. </p><p> <strong>Duane Fry</strong>: Shouldn't you maybe be down there refereeing the match. </p><p> <strong>Rich Money</strong>: You know, the way I see it, they're both professionals. They know what they're doing. I'm not a professional referee, so I feel I'll just get in the way. When I need to be there, I'll be there. </p><p> <strong>Peter Michaels</strong>: Didn't you give Jerry Eisen your word? </p><p> <strong>Rich Money</strong>: I absolutely did, Peter. I told him that I would call the match fairly. I have and I will. But I told both him and Eric that I am not a referee. Being a referee is not easy. I am most definitely money... but I'm not a ref...</p><p> </p><p> The battle continues down in the ring. They trade pin attempts, which are a useless waste of time with no ref to make the count. However, none of the pins look they would have been successful regardless. Money finally decides to make his way down to the ring as the match pushes past the quarter hour mark. He actually watches the action closely once he's back in the ring, but mostly lets the two wrestlers go at it. When Jack Bruce tries to hit his New York Minute fame dropper, he is shoved away, bouncing off the ropes and into a big knee from Eisen. The champion starts to lay into the challenger with some of the quick and deadly kicks he perfected during his time away from injury, but the challenger counters with a Jack Bruce Flurry. “The Long Island Angel” then tries for his Welcome to NY sequence, but takes another knee to the ribs when he tries for the finishing splash. The ribs are clearly damaged and causing the challenger significant pain. His look of determination has been replaced with one of desperation. When “The Supremacist” manages to again grab his opponent in a Muay Thai clinch and drives several knees to those ribs, Bruce is nearly done. Eisen then drops him to the mat with a swift head kick. With a grin, the champion picks his nemesis up onto his shoulders and delivers his now-feared finisher, The Supremacy. Its a Go-2-Sleep that is even more devastating due to the knee brace the Eisen now wears. He covers Bruce and Rich Money counts out the three, then calls for the bell. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Eric Eisen Wins at 21:12 via Pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Reaction: A Bit Gimmicky but Solid Main Event</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/EricEisen3Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/Media/BlankPartSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/JackBruce2Small.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TCW/Media/BlankPartSmall.jpg</span><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/Wrestling/TEW%202010/Workers/SWF%20Workers%20Small/RichMoney2Small.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>Eric Eisen, Jack Bruce & Rich Money</strong></p><p><strong> Post Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Referee Rich Money is handed the SWF World Heavyweight championship belt. He turns and hands it to the still-champion and turns away. No raised hand and no ceremony. The crowd seems to anticipate something more happening, but Money simply turns and begins to climb out of the ring. Eisen says something that cannot be heard on screen and Money stops halfway through the ropes. Something else is said, and in a breath, he's back in the ring. The two men square up, with Eisen holding up the title and gesturing. Money just glares. They get in each other's faces and it seems as though things are going to escalate. The crowd cheers on Money. </p><p> </p><p> Before anything can happen, a small army of SWF officials hits the ring and gets between the two. As Peter Michaels points out, the promotion was expecting some “fireworks” after the main event and didn't want another incident. </p><p> </p><p> While the champion and likely next challenger are separated in the center of the ring, Jack Bruce sits in the corner staring blankly and looked shocked. He looks more horrified than Christian Faith after he struck Emma Chase. </p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

<p>1st - Sammy Bach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that guy; plus he solidifies the 'chaos division' pretty well. </p><p> </p><p>

2nd - Remo & Vengeance as the SWF Tag Team Champions? Damn. I wonder who, if anyone, will EVER be able to take the straps off of those guys.</p><p> </p><p>

All in all, GREAT show, PA. I was only able to skim as I'm on my way to work but will give it a full read tonight. </p><p> </p><p>

<p>First off, that was a great show. Your match write-ups were top notch. Not TK level, but at the very top of the "everybody else" category. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

But what I really wanted to point out was how much I love your branding of certain wrestlers with their nicknames. They add a layer that the game doesn't give them, which is one of the reasons I love reading diaries on here.</p><p> </p><p>

"The American Tiger" should be canon.</p>

Great show. Glad you are back home doing SWF. Thats not to say your other works were trash because that is farthest from the truth. But you just seem to be more at home with Supreme. Here is to your continued success.

More than bothered – offended, even. I am not a person who is easily offended, so know that it takes quite a lot. </span></span></span><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> The world of professional wrestling is one of fantasy. I understand and acknowledge the skill, athleticism, risk, and bumps that are part of it, but at its base, it is scripted fantasy. I bring up that point because those in charge have control over what is scripted. For the most part, those in charge choose to follow certain rules that are long-established and exist for good reasons. One might even call them cardinal rules. One such rule is that non-weapons (items such as chairs, baseball bats, etc) used as weapons is fine, but actual weapons (guns, knives, even swords) is not. Another cardinal rule is that violence toward women should only ever come from other women. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> The Supreme Wrestling Federation chose to break that last rule at the pay per view. And to do so in the most egregious way possible. That is what left me offended. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> The short version is that Emma Chase interfered in the match between Christian Faith and Marat Khoklov by delivering a low blow to the legendary Faith. The “why” of that interference has yet to made clear. When Chase, nominally the most recognizable manager in the wrestling world, attempted it a second time, she was punched by Faith. Not shoved away or slapped, but punched. Then the fans vocally approved of the action. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> When female managers get involved in the action, things are going to happen. Like most fans, I can accept that. While I may not like it, but it really becomes a major concern only when its done in the worst way possible. Unfortunately, what was done at the SWF pay per view was absolutely the worst option that Supreme could have taken. Instead of using the situation as a way to generate more heat on a heel and allow a babyface to punish that heel, they had Christian Faith be the perpetrator. And it was done in such a manner as to engender fan support. It succeeding in having an arena-full of fans cheering a woman being punched in the face and knocked out by one of the most beloved stars in the business... Consider that for a moment. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> This is the second time in barely a week that those in charge of the Supreme Empire – Jerry Eisen, we are to believe – have managed to do something very questionable that left me feeling morally wronged. I am not an overtly sensitive individual and have rarely found myself facing such concerns with SWF's product in the recent past. This is not being written simply as a member of the wrestling media looking for something to write about, but as a fan and consumer who has found real and serious flaws in the recent product being provided. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> Jerry Eisen clearly wants to change things. But he needs to realize that cardinal rules often exist for very good reasons. Jerry is known to be a big fan of the East Coast Wars, a short but important period in the history of professional wrestling in America, where the boundaries of this business were pushed in every manner possible. Those like Jerry who immortalize that era one of the greatest in the history of the business in this country need to be realistic about its consequences – three of the four companies were out of business with two years of the onset of the “war”. The victor, Phil Vibert's Danger and Violence Extreme, lasted another decade but still fell due to a combination of talent losses and the barriers created by its own product (and the perceptions of that product). There are consequences to pushing boundaries, as Vibert could well tell. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> I will be shocked if these incidents don't raise some serious issues with the business partners of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, whether its sponsors, network,s or PPV carriers. Those are the kind of troubles which could set the SWF back years, much as the infamous Nemesis-Cornell brawl did back in 1997. </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"><span style="font-size:10px;"> Dark days indeed. </span></span></span></p></div></blockquote>

This is really great. Love the backlash articles and it shows how people can't deal with the change. Wrestlings moving on Desmond get used to it <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Really good article which must be fairly weird to write since your booking it then having a pop at it, awesome stuff.

Glad you are enjoying. </p><p> </p><p> Wrestling is indeed changing... but the question has to be asked of whether its necessary or in the right direction...</p><p> </p><p> As for the articles, they actually aren't that awkward to write at all. Mainly because I agree with the viewpoint, to an extent. I don't like seeing unprotected chair shots anymore, I'm not a fan of violence towards women on-screen, and I definitely do not like seeing wrestlers use real weapons. I'm not overtly conservative, but those are just things I'm not looking for in wrestling. So its actually a bit more awkward to write the segments for the show where there is something I don't necessarily like to see being shown in a relatively positive light. The articles do feel a bit heavy-handed at times, but I'm trying to reiforce the "things are changing" aspect. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Tigerkinney" data-cite="Tigerkinney" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="29584" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> That's just the sort of line, a moral crusader like Desmond Hammer would come out with it. Glad you enjoyed. </p><p> </p><p> And you know, I actually had that exact same thought when I wrote the article up last night. I actually thought about changing that opening just because it reminded me of the same thing. I've actually seen it a few times in "real life" as well - someone starting out with "I really don't like to complain, but..." before going on a complaint tirade that never ends. </p><p> </p><p> That said, Desmond Hammer is actually meant to be more of the "voice of reason" than a true counter-point. Though I may getting too heavy-handed and turning them into the latter.</p>

Trying to be something it isn't, or making it something isn't, will always fail. It's interesting you are using SWF as a platform for these concerns, though. I think there's a reasons (several, actually), why Hardcore wrestling has died down. For as much fan interest they can generate, they can also generate opponents, within and outside wrestling. There's also the issue of overuse and overkill.... do too much of something, and people get bored or become numb to it. It's why ladder, cage, and even HIAC's lack the "big match" feel these days.</p>

Its really only certain segments that go outside my comfort zone as a fan. The overall direction of things - the "dark days" as a whole - isn't necessarily something I'm against. Its just certain elements, which push the bounds of what I'm comfortable with. I also recognize that those elements are not necessarily things that each reader is going to have issue with - which is part of why I'm using the Hammer commentaries to get that across. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="ampulator" data-cite="ampulator" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="29584" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think the problem is, wrestling will always be wrestling. If no one pushed things, we would still have pure mat wrestling where bear hugs and headlocks were legit finishers, never using the top rope, etc. Its about respecting certain boundaries and not pushing too hard. Getting away from the essence of what makes wrestling appealing for most fans - rivalries and matches - is where you start to run into real problems. There is a tendency to over complicate things and its really not necessary. </p><p> </p><p> Completely agree that overuse of anything dilutes its importance. Whether its a match type, stipulation, angle, a big move, blading, anything... if its used frequently, it becomes common-place. It just doesn't have the same impact anymore. Its something I really didn't recognize when I did Generation Supreme, but I am more aware of now. Which is not to say I'll never be guilty of it, but I'll be wary of it.</p>
