Mitch Y. Bryson: Summer's over, folks, but what better to warm you up than another superb internet stream of APW's finest? I'm Mitch Bryson and welcome to APW's Championship Carnival - the only night of the year where all of the titles must be on the line!

Frank Mucciolo: All except Alyx Macquarie and the brand new and improved Shot at the Top title. That thing is a beauty, Mitch. I can't believe I had it right next to me in that box last month. And now Alyx gets to hand it in at any point and get his title shot.

MB: We'll be seeing Alyx very shortly, but first of all it's time for our first event of the night. A triple threat ladder match, featuring The Blondes, The Masters and the new team who call themselves Technical Excellence.

FM: Disappointingly egotistical of Harry to call his new team that, I feel. Are they really "that good"? They lost last week, after all.

MB: Well, management must be hot on them to give them a title shot so soon in the history of their team, so let's see what goes on here.

World Tag Team Titles Ladder Match

THE ACTION: Some rather pretty tag titles there and the eagle eyed amongst you will have noted a name change of the titles too. This match was rather formulaic between The Blondes and Masters, and the two teams locked horns effectively once again. Technical Excellence add something new to the tag mix, and again pulled out the very amusing pair of spots where Harry teaches Jimmy a submission move, and then Jimmy teaches Harry something flippy. However, that wasn't enough here, and Lexley Robbins reclaims the title from the top of the ladder after sixteen minutes, despite Sean Quartermainne's protests from the side of the stage. Stratosphere came close to capturing it, but was toppled by the Masters. Jimmy landing on them took them both out and allowed Lex to climb. Very interesting.

Rating: 49 / D+

MB: Two successful defences in two months for The Blondes, but how long can they hold on with Quartermainne pressuring you?

Rick Stantz

Stantz is shown sitting backstage against a wall, mimicking the same pose he was shown in at the end of the Shot at the Top broadcast. He still looks rather bruised and beaten up from that, but even more alarming is the mumbling to himself.

Rick Stantz: Dlikeit.. dlikeit.. dlikeit

MB: This is unsettling, Frank.

The camera withdraws a little, and we see Rick frantically rubbing at his arm, increasing the speed with which he speaks as he does so

RS: Dnlikit dnlikit dnlikit

FM: Jesus, what the hell is he doing?

We see the camera pan down very slightly, and see Rick's forearm awash with a thousand tiny cuts, spilling some blood out. Rick's voice increases in volume as he rocks backwards and forwards, and the camera man starts calling out for a medic.

RS: DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T LIKE IT!

FM: Goddamn, cut the feed! We don't need to see this!

The feed cuts abruptly as a first aider arrives on the scene, and shows Bryson and Frank sat, very pale.

MB: Rick is one messed up little puppy. Wow...

THE ACTION: Another simple match and another loss for Kuroda, as the Shot at the Top match winner dances around and under him, before Carcano Kicking his head off after eight minutes.

Australian Title Match with no disqualifications allowed

THE ACTION: Standish looked solid as champ here, and Rick came hobbling down the ramp only slightly late, with his entire left arm bandaged and taped up from his abuse of it earlier. Smithson and Devine are embroiled in their own little feud, and were simply bit part players here, appearing when necessary and getting dumped to ringside to show off Stantz or Standish as appropriate. Rick gassed quickly, obviously weakened by the blood loss from earlier, but was mounting a comeback when The Masters and Sean Quartermainne appeared on the ramp. Furious at their loss earlier, they hit the ring and cleaned house, taking it in turns to hit their finishers on Stantz and allowing Standish to hit the High Breed for the three.

Rating: 52 / D+

FM: Standish is a wonderful champion, and backed up by allies like that, he's going to go far.

MB: That was clearly how it was designed to go all along. The sooner someone takes Quartermainne's power away the better, or The Masters will take over this promotion.

FM: I imagine that's exactly what Sean wants..

Lucien Wilder: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time - Swoop McCarthy. Swoop, you found yourself dumped out of the Shot at the Top match last week despite coming so close - but tonight you get a title shot regardless. Does that strike you as fair?

Swoop grins.

SM: You've never pulled punches, Wilder. I like that. But there's nothing in the life of an APW superstar that's fair. Is it fair that Dozer can just waltz in and out, **** people up, then not get punished for it? Nope. Is it fair that Harry Simonson can just appear in the middle of my match, and kick me right in the face? No sir. Is it fair that, just as Dozer starts to crack, his retard brother turns up and starts pissing around with everything? Hell no.

Swoop, becoming considerably more annoyed with each sentence, takes a moment to compose himself.

SM: But I'm Swoop McCarthy, and I'm not a whiner. I'm a winner, Wilder. Tonight, I recapture that Commonwealth belt, and tonight I punch that little bitch MoMac right in his head.

LW: MoMac?

SM: Sounds like a sexual disease, don't it? MoMac. ****, son, I got these MoMacs all over my ass. Hey, mom, can you come and check if my MoMacs are flaring up again?

LW: Maurice Mackenzie is a sexually transmitted disease?

McCarthy just laughs and walks off, leaving Wilder wondering whether that final sentence was really wise to voice out loud.

Killdozer vs. Maurice Mackenzie vs. Swoop McCarthy

Commonwealth Title Steel Cage Match

THE ACTION: The cage was locked, and of course it immediately turned into a 2 on 1 match. Dozer looked like he'd lost a step recently due to the mental trauma somehow being caused by those incredibly odd messages, and he did keep scanning around the arena just in case something appeared. Maurice looked very capable throughout the match, having soared up the card, and having obviously learned a thing or two. McCarthy was McCarthy, destined to main event forever, and who would be a SWF megastar had he been born in the Americas. McCarthy kept the others on their toes, showing surprising agility, and even managing to sidestep a 300lb and leave Mo to be smashed by it instead. A near fall followed, as a shocked Killdozer fell to a Swoop DDT followed by a leaping leg drop, but as Swoop covered Nate, Maurice got back involved. Hitting a rolling DDT, Maurice had the chance to steal the title from his brother - but in a move that shocked everyone in the building, he pulled the recovering Dozer over McCarthy. One, two, three - Dozer has his sixth defence - although by rights he shouldn't have..

Rating: 58 / C-

FM: Can you believe that! What an idiot! Maurice Mackenzie could have been Commonwealth champ - but gave it back to his brother instead!

MB: Blood runs thicker, Frank. A surprisingly touching moment - but did you detect that slight hint of hesitation there?

FM: Wouldn't you? Three seconds and you're the most famous man in Australi-

There's a boom, and again everything electronic in the building cuts out. Almost like an EMP, the room fills with blue and the temperature cuts as the air conditioning goes into mental overdrive. We had thunder and lightening last week, and now it's time for ice. Laughing, up comes the face on the screens again, and upon seeing it Dozer convulses again. Mo paces backwards and forwards like a caged animal, unable to help his brother, and instead laying the boot into McCarthy a little more. Dozer, rolling backwards and forwards, groping at the air, with his title lain across his stomach, cuts a humbled figure - and as quickly as it appears, the face disappears. "MoMac" lifts up Swoop for a final rolling DDT, and quits the ring, dragging his brother with him as the internet telecast ends.

Rating: 66 / C+

Final Event Rating: 56 / C- - As much as I hate not having a title change in an event called this, it just didn't seem right yet...

APW's Championship Carnival – An APW Production

"Except from a medical report, dated September 2011."

The patient has minimal insight into the circumstances that resulted in this admission. He remembers being diagnosed with schizophrenia aged fifteen, but states he believes that he has maintained his stable baseline for many years. Prior to admission, the patient was brought to Emergency Room after he sliced open numerous blood vessels as a result of extreme anxiety about competing within a wrestling match. The patient was disorganized with police and emergency room staff, and he was ultimately detained on a 72-hour Involuntary Treatment Act for grave disability.

On the interview, the patient is still disorganized and confused. He believes that he has been arrested and is in jail. He reports a history of mental health treatment, but denies benefiting from this in the past and does not think that it is currently necessary.

I was able to contact his partner by telephone. She reports that the patient is paranoid and has bizarre behavior at baseline over the time that she has known him for the last 16 years, with occasional episodes of symptomatic worsening, from which he spontaneously recovers. His partner estimates the patient spends about 20% of the year in episodes of worse symptoms. His partner states that in the last one to two months, the patient has become worse than she has ever seen him with increased paranoia above the baseline and he states the patient has been barricading himself in his house and unplugging all electrical appliances for unclear reasons. He also reports the patient has been sleeping less and estimates his average duration to be three to four hours a night. She also reports the patient has been spending money impulsively in the last month and has actually incurred overdraft charges on his checking account on three different occasions recently. Apparently, the patient has been making threats to his partner's safety, and she no longer feels that he is safe having him at home. She reports that the patient has been eating regularly with no recent weight loss. She states that the patient is observed responding to internal stimuli, occasionally at baseline, but this has gotten worse in the last few months. His partner was unaware of any obvious medical changes in the last one to two months coinciding with onset of recent symptomatic worsening. She reports of the patient's longstanding poor compliance with treatment of his mental health or age-related conditions and attributes this to the patient's dislike of taking medicine. She also reports that the patient has expressed the belief in the past that he does not suffer from either condition.

Mitch Y. Bryson: Coming off the back of a tremendous Championship Carnival, welcome to the highlight of October for all wrestling fans - APW's Super Saturday! I'm Mitch Bryson and I'm here with Frank Mucciolo, and we're ready for another explosive event.

Frank Mucciolo: Tonight we'll see Maurice Mackenzie finally put Swoop McCarthy down like the dog he is - and prove that no-one comes even remotely close to Dozer for the Commonwealth championship. And don't forget - Stan Standish returns, finally at full strength after working in pain last month, and the streak WILL continue!

MB: Well, we'll see if Standish can continue his remarkable run of luck later on tonight. But our opening match features two veterans of the scene, and should be a brutal affair. Let's head to ringside!

THE ACTION: Again, Dingo Devine leaves his protege backstage and comes out to face Simonson alone. This immediately looked like a mistake, as Harry came out with a furious assault, and left Dingo gasping and reeling. However, a missed Headshot countered into a Fisherman's Suplex put Dingo back on the map, and allowed him to punish Harry with numerous slams. The fans sounded their appreciation for Simonson and the match until Harry managed to slip out the back of a suplex held for an awfully long time, and Headshot Dingo straight to the mat for the three.

Rating: 51 / D+

MB: Devine wins with Banks at ringside, but can do nothing alone.

FM: Don't write him off too easily, Mitch. That's what Boo Smithson did, and now look at where he is.

MB: About to defeat Alex Banks, later on tonight?

The New Blondes

The New Blondes, Blake Belushi and Lexley Robbins, are backstage with Steph Drucker. Both are stretching out and preparing for their bouts tonight, and offering tips on how to take down their opponents.

Lexley Robbins: And look, really. The only thing you have to watch out for against Horne is that wierd butt hump thing he tries to do. When he tries to take you to the ground, use the ropes to launch off, and then axe kick him. One, two three.

Blake Belushi: ****, I wish I had something useful to say about MoMac and Macquarie tonight.

LR: (laughs) Don’t you worry, me and Swoop have those idiots cov-

The two men straighten up rather abruptly, and Blake raises his fists. Drucker disappears out of shot, quickly, with a frown on her face.

BB: I ain’t got time for your crap tonight, mate.

LR: Blake’s bell time is any minute now – don’t you dare start anything.

The camera pulls back to reveal Rick Stantz, arms bandaged and taped from his self inflicted wounds suffered last month. His speech is slurred and unclear at times, but he’s considerably more coherent than last month’s incident.

Rick Stantz: I not.. I’m not... I’m not wanting trouble...

BB: Last time I saw you, Stantz, you were smashing me into a metal ramp, head first.

RS: A lot.. a lot.. a lot has changed ssince then, B-blake.

LR: Sure, but some of us don’t forget the actions of cowards. And now this crap with you cutting your arms open? You’re screwed up in the head, son.

Rick shrugs.

RS: Sure as ssure.. that’s.. that’s what they say.

BB: What the hell do you want, Rick?

Rick takes a moment, forcing the words to come out.

RS: I want... I want... I want.. to be ... be.. be.. back in the B-blondes again. Give me my life b-back.

Blake’s face falls. Lex just looks confused.

BB: That boat has sailed, Stantz. That boat sailed when you threw your first little strop and attacked me. As far as I’m concerned, you chose your side and you chose poorly. All those years of friendship thrown away in one little cowardly act. I’m done with you, Rick. I’m done with you. Forever. C’mon, Lex, let’s leave this idiot to his self pity.

Blake and Lex disappear off, thoughts immediately back to Blake’s upcoming match, and the camera focuses on Stantz again. He flexes his arms and hands, and we see the tell tale sign of a crimson colour beginning to appear on the tape and dressings holding his forearms together.

RS: Y-you ain’t done with me, b-boy. Not.. not.. not.. not for a long time...

MB: An ominous threat from the dangerously unhinged Rick Stantz. We'll see if he makes a showing in this next match, as ex-tag partner Blake Belushi takes on the just as creepy Big Daddy Horne.

Blake Belushi with Steph Drucker vs. Big Daddy Horne

THE ACTION: I play Horne's music to myself every time he's in a match. It's like a reward for putting the untalented hack in the ring. I love the character, but there's nothing worth keeping here and I think there might be some roster cuts coming soon. Belushi looks great out there and dominates throughout, with the ending conveniently happening just as Lexley told him it would earlier on.

Stan Standish with Sean Quartermainne vs. Blitz Simpson

THE ACTION: Blitz is a small and scrappy wrestler who could have good potential on the scene. He came down dressed as a biker and the fans lapped it up, but the arena filled with boos as Standish entered with manager Quartermainne. Sean stayed largely out of this match, Stan controlling throughout, but when Blitz mounted a comeback Quatermainne made a big deal of leaning against the bottom rope, causing a springboard from Simpson to fail, and leaving him prone to a High Breed from the second rope. No-one's got up from that knee drop before - and Blitz is no exception.

Rating: 49 / D+

FM: Standish goes 10-0 - what a milestone!

MB: An impressive set of victories - or it would be if he hadn't had help in almost every single one..

FM: And here come The Masters to show that idiot Blitz Simpson that he's not welcome here in the APW!

The two men run down to the ring, and start laying the boot in, when an unfamiliar music starts to play.

FM: Who the christ are these guys?

Two of the newcomers run down to the ring - one, a short yet incredibly thickset man, and the other more tall and rangely. Both ooze pure power, and set into The Masters immediately. The taller one headbutts Williams to the ground, splitting open his forehead, and the smaller man snap suplexes Peterson almost effortlessly. Standish and Quartermainne book it out of there as quickly as they can, and it leaves the three men in the ring with Blitz Simpson. Blitz struggles to his feet and looks thankful at his saviours, but the older man of the trio shakes his head. He's carrying a cane with him and chomping on a big cigar, and hits Simpson in the stomach with it! The bigger man lifts Simpson in a bearhug, and then hoists him up for a sit down powerbomb. What comes next is perfectly timed, and just as Simpson hits the canvas, the shorter man hits a sliding dropkick variant right into the top of his skull. Celebrating and roaring, the trio leave the ring. Their victims won't be leaving under their own power.

Rating: 55 / C-

MB: A huge debut for three new members of the APW, I assume - but one that leaves me feeling very uneasy.

FM: That was a common assault, Mitch. All three should be arrested - I bet they're not even contracted and are just some islander idiots that walked up and thought they'd have a go.

MB: With a move like that powerbomb and kick combo, they're professionals all right.

Boo Smithson vs. Alex Banks with Dingo Devine

THE ACTION: Devine and Alex's odd arrangement continues, and Dingo makes his presence known in this match. Smithson runs the show for a while, despite Alex getting off some incredibly stiff blows to his face and neck, and when it looks like Boo is sizing up for the Chickenwing Crossface, Dingo gets up on the apron and knocks the referee over from behind. From then it's a two on one match, until Dingo smashes Boo with a brainbuster and Alex hooks the leg. Devine revives the referee, who clearly remembers nothing that came before, and the official counts the three.

Rating: 43 / D

MB: A terrible end to what was an impressive match up until that point - what a massive shame.

FM: Alex Banks is pure quality, and he showed it in that dominating victory over the disgusting Boo Smithson.

MB: You saw not one second of that match then, Frank?

It’s time once again. The lights go out, but this time of course there is no Killdozer on hand to froth and writhe. However, the arena goes completely silent – rather hard when you have over one and a half thousand people inside it. We’ve had thunder and lightning, and ice last month, and this month it’s fire. The turnbuckles flame like something out of the SWF, and the lights focusing on the ring glow red. There is no face this time, but simply red writing on the screen in place of Nathan Mackenzie’s tormentor – “The Prophecy will be fulfilled”. The lights come on, and Maurice Mackenzie’s music hits.

Rating: 70 / C+

Maurice Mackenzie and Alyx Macquarie vs. Swoop McCarthy and Lexley Robbins

THE ACTION: Mo is obviously furious with Swoop for his mockery last week, but is one step slower knowing that his brother isn't even in the building tonight. The two lock up and go at it, but it's unconvincing from Mackenzie and he quickly tags out. Swoop lets Lex in to have a crack at Alyx and the two old foes put on quite a show - Alyx learning a thing or two from the ex-RAW star. McCarthy gets back in on the action and Alyx is isolated. It's all going so well when Rick Stantz, arm bandages even more crimson than before, barges into the ring. Despite the cries of the referee, he tackles Macquarie to the ground, then hurls Robbins off the apron. The match is thrown out and the win awarded to Mackenzie and Macquarie, but the brawl continues. McCarthy tries to head outside to stop it, but is met by Maurice who plants him on his head with a Rolling DDT. Mo is delighted with himself, and goes up onto the turnbuckle to celebrate, when..

Rating: 55 / C-

Breathing hard, Mo stands on the turnbuckle, taunting the crowd after putting away Swoop. Sure, there was something very wonky about that finish – but a win is a win. However, the lights go out again – an unprecedented second appearance in one night from the unknown spectre.

This time though, it just sits and laughs demonically as Mo rages at it. From ringside, where Mo dumped McCarthy out after the DDT, Swoop struggles to his feet and looks up the ramp. With supreme effort, and knowledgeable of the fact that Maurice is still in the ring and roaring like an enraged animal, Swoop starts to walk. He heads up towards the main screen, a HD projector hooked up and shone on a wall above where the workers enter. The face continues to laugh, but Swoop is undaunted. As Maurice hurls abuse from the ring, McCarthy walks with no fear towards the ghost laughing on, and this act of defiance is the enduring image those who have sat and watched APW’s Super Saturday are left with as the screen fades to black.

Rating: 66 / C+

Dear Mr. Wilder,

I write to follow up the discussion we held at the end of your sports event earlier in the week. If you remember, we talked about the state that the male locker room was left in and that further cleaning may well be required.

Upon further investigation, I would like to bring to your attention the following, rather disturbing, damage caused.

~ Three holes in a plasteboard wall.

~ Two showerheads ripped clean off their mounting.

~ Two benches uprooted from the floor.

~ Eight lockers, bent unrecognisable.

~ Used, bloodied, medical tape, attached to the walls in various odd shapes.

~ Blood and possibly other filth caked around the shower cubicle.

I must point out that these problems were found after the majority of your staff had left the building, and after the initial check of the rooms at 11pm. I can only assume that one of your colleagues remained behind and caused the damage.

I would appreciate you investigating this further. It is not the duty of my staff to have to clean up blood and other unmentionables, and we will be invoicing you shortly for the price of the damage caused.

Since your agreement with regards to using the JDM Arena is fairly new, I have attached the terms and conditions in the contract again and hope that you will reaquaint your staff with them. However, I must insist upon you that any further breaches of this severity will result in termination of the use agreement and we will decline any further interest you may have in using our building.

The New Blondes vs. The Masters vs. Samoan Demolition vs. Technical Excellence – Ladder match for the APW World Tag Team titles - Samoan Demolition debuted in style last week, putting the self acclaimed #1 contenders to the title, The Masters, on notice. However, Technical Excellence could excel at this style of match - and who would write off The New Blondes? Aside from, perhaps, Rick Stantz.

Stan Standish vs. ??? - Will the streak end? When will Stan defend his title? Or is he simply too in with SQ to have to actually do anything?

Ok I bite, ladder match is likely Technical Excellence best change to get the titles thanks to Jimmy. Also it´s rather hard to keep Masters away from title scene with Sean calling the shots and Blonces vs. Masters have been seen quite many times already so change is needed. So my guess is that Excellence gets the belts and feud with Masters and Samoan Demolition while Stantz keeps the Blondes busy.
