<p>Not sure if its been mentioned but the WWC Womens title is not set to female only....no major deal, but wasnt sure if it was brought to attention.</p><p> </p><p>

My dream of having Chuck Norris become the longest reigning WWF champion is now underway. My plan is to have Norris squash everyone ever...In the meantime make the IC belt the actual main event title...But never main event match, thats reserved for Chuck Norris and his latest roundhouse kick victim...</p>

<p>Okay I need your help again guys. I'm doing the 'put a bounty' storyline between savage and piper. Beefcake and Valentine have to beat up Piper in an action angle with piper as the victim and them as the "attacker" but every action angle I see only has catalysts and not "attackers". </p><p> </p><p>

Any idea specifically what is a 2 on 1 action attack with attackers vs a victim?</p>

Should be fairly easy to do just clone one of the angles where they are set as "catalysts" and change them to attackers, save, and presto. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Got a thought. The "CWF" narrative. On account of like possible spoiler for those who haven't seen it, I won't go into detail. But the way it's written, shouldn't it give JCP a promotion boost?</p><p> </p><p>

And in the editor it's set to do something to 5x, so was this just like only a half finished thought?</p>

The sale of CWF to JCP was going through when March '87 started but to save hassles I made it already happen (the deal was all but official and public by then). Any bump to prestige or pop for the promotion was taken into account on setting it up. There shouldn't be any bonuses attached to the narrative as it would just confuse things.</p><p> </p><p> Hope I explained that properly <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Reason being, I always import my own angles pack in - its what I know, what I use, what I like having - and chances are, something that's supposed to be a major plot is at some point not going to be in my pack. Very annoying. It's the reason why I never can bring myself to go back and play Dec 97 anymore, because pretty near all the starting storylines aren't unchained.<p> </p><p> That out of the way though, I very much look forward to starting up JCP and giving a massive push to Barry Windham.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> As I've mentioned a few times with past mods storylines rank far down the list of importance when it comes to what I edit and put time into. Considering most people do import there own and never use the angles or storylines that a mod comes with I think it's time well saved <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Small problem guys. Its time for the war games... and "Cannot Complete: Ric Flair says that he cannot do this match at the moment, as there is too much of a chance that he will get injured."</p><p> </p><p>

JJ Dillon had moral issues with the content also <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Any idea on what this may be?

There's a North American Industry crash set for June 1991, the New Generation Era starts in 1992. That's about the only things I think could contribute to it, other than maybe that's when their main event is beyond over the hill and just sinks the promotion due to Vince not bringing up new talent. I'm not sure how if the latter is the case to fix it but I'll try and run some tests this weekend.

Tonight if I get a chance to play I will take some notes on some typos and such. Maybe by Thursday I can get some to you.

Just as a note: I've yet to play this mod. After reading some of the minor flaws and knowing Genaldi is fixing them and releasing another version I'll just wait until he posts that.

On to the quoted portion: Falls to cult? That seems extreme. WWF still maintained a television program in primetime throughout which would be at worst low-level national. Even though WCW grew in popularity by stealing away the larger talent wrestling as a whole was in a slump at the time until Nitro showed up and elevated both back to the international level. I'd say WWF should fall to the lowest level national as possible and WCW should have a high national profile as they would be able to jump to international first. Just a suggestion, not sure if it's doable or not as again... haven't touched TEW2010 yet. Just hearing that WWF falls to cult shocked me knowing they still maintained not only television programs on numerous stations but also the cache of their initials/name. To me cult will also be ECW/ROH. Hardcore fans know of it and typically only on lower level cable networks with small viewership.

Doh. Didn't think about the crash nor the New Generation Era. Yeah, the Main Event guys during that time are always in their 40's. WWF bounces back to global fairly quickly, but they just stop running TV for whatever reason.

I want to add this is in no way an indictment on your work. Obviously some things in the game are hard to circumvent. I just wanted to give you a heads up because I know it may hurt some peoples enjoyment. I truly don't mind as it really has not affected the game at all (as best I can tell).

You can be cult and still be a big promotion. I think low level cults average like 4,000 fans per show or something, so it's not like they are small promotions.

Right now, ROH would be a high level regional or, at the very most, low level cult.

It really has less to do with attendance than TV shows. If the WWF is losing their shows that's a significant issue, imo. And attendance is more about area/venue than it is about the company. ROH, in today's world, has been consistently the #3 promotion and fairly well recognized in the same manner than ECW was prior to making the transition to national cable television. The internet, if I may get off on a tanget, changed the wrestling landscape and ROH created their fanbase from internet videos and internet DVD sales. It's a promotion that garned a "cult" like following, has been overseas, gotten large enough to get a TV show with HDNet (now of course cancelled) and still goes to various places across the nation. I don't classify them as a regional promotion simply because of attendance, imo that's a shortsighted way of looking at it... now, in the game it may work better like that I don't know that's something Genaldi could answer. A low level cult, sure I'm not saying they are on the verge of breaking out nationally. But being a cult promotion and a national promotion are drastically different and the WWF never fell to a cult status.

And attendance wise the WWF would still draw over 10,000 depending on arena and market. Did they also draw under 5,000 plenty of times? Yes, but again... venue and market. There were plenty of places they ran during the heyday of the 80's that were sans 5,000 - I should know, I attended them. 92 was the year they went to London for Summer Slam and sold out Wembley with 75,000 paid. Not exactly a cult promotion is all I'm saying. Ratings dropped, attendance dropped but not to the degree that they would go to a cult promotion. The WWF maintained a national stature as they still maintained solid numbers and their television deals.

Again, this is all really pointless as I just vocalized my opinion for the in-game structure that would cause the WWF to lose their television deals which Genaldi said he'd look in to. So that's that.

<p>So I've been thinking and have come to the conclusion that I may just let my current 87 game die.</p><p> </p><p>

I will start a game as the WWF and do all of the things I have dreamed of doing. An epic Hogan vs Dibiase feud for the ages! Andre will still lose to Hogan at Wrestlemania 3 though.</p><p> </p><p>

Sting and the Ultimate Warrior will team up and lose a lot of matches as a team.</p><p> </p><p>

Others who I'd try to bring in... Curt Hennig, Mark Callous, Sid Vicious, Vampiro, Bret Hart, and Scott Hall.</p>

<p>Man. The WWF is getting decimated in my game. They failed to resign Bret Hart and lost Andre and Piper to New Japan. UWF is coming for them!</p><p> </p><p>

Assuming I can ever find a way to put on a show better than a C grade.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh and cheap bump for the 1987 Draft Your Roster Thread!</p><p> </p><p>
