Wrestling's Domestic Disturbance

Recommended Posts

Really like the characters you have already started to build up on your roster. It'll be nice to see what kind of product you put out there. There are some entertaining potential matchups on that list, really looking forward to the action to get rolling.

Being the first show in the history of Music City Wrestling, it sure to be special. It's already been confirmed that the first show will be a tournament to decide the first Music City Champion. The best and brightest of Music City Wrestling's roster and a couple of out-of-town talent will battle it out to claim rights to being the man to start the legacy of this promotion as the first ever champion. The tournament will consist of 12 competitors, and will last for three rounds. Ready to Rock will culminate with a triple-threat match to crown the first Music City Champion. Now for what everyone wants to know, who will be participating in this tournament.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> The tournament will be made up of three segregated brackets. Each bracket will consist of four, then narrowed down to the one person who will be part of the triple-threat match for the Music City Championship. In the first bracket we have </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Dread Pirate" Hugh de Aske</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> taking on </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Ricky Dale Johnson</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> and </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>The Big Problem</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> facing off against </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"The Savant of Wrestling" Gregory Henn</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;">. This bracket should be filled with some intense action which will surely get the crowd's heart pumping.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> The next bracket might have some of the more visceral matches possible on the whole card. We have two veterans facing off in </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Southern Justice" Jack Griffith</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> going one-on-one with </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Ford Gumble</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;">. We also get to see </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"The Teen Dream" Brendan Idol</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> face-off with the sadistic, </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Sgt. Bubba Lee West</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;">. It wouldn't be a big surprise if one of the matches from this bracket leaves the ring a bloody mess.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> The third and final bracket might have some of the most exciting matches compared to the other two. Also, this bracket possesses two talents that aren't part of Music City Wrestling. There will be a match between </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> and Mid Atlantic Wrestling import, </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Citizen X</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;">. Also, another import from MAW, </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Mean" Jean Cattley</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> will be battling against </span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"The Slick Pimp Daddy" Ernie Turner</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> in first round action. A big question is, will one of these guys from Mid Atlantic Wrestling be able to make it to the finals and quite possibly win the Music City Championship?</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Ready to Rock is surely going to be a night to remember, not just because it is the first show in Music City Wrestling history, but because this card is primed to get the crowd buzzing. Mix in the crowning of the first ever Music City Champion, this night will easily live up to the hype. Be sure to get your tickets to Ready to Rock set for the last Saturday in January. Also, be ready to go shoulder-to-shoulder at the Nashville Fairgrounds, because the place is going to be jammed packed. Music City Wrestling is set to make an impact at Ready to Rock.</span></span></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> <span style="color:#FFFFFF;">aaa</span></p><p> </p><p> Bracket 1:</p><p> Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Hugh de Aske</p><p> The Big Problem vs. Gregory Henn</p><p> </p><p> Dale Johnson/de Aske vs. Problem/Henn</p><p> </p><p> Bracket 2:</p><p> Jack Griffith vs. Ford Gumble</p><p> Brendan Idol vs. Sgt. Citizen X

Citizen X is one of MAW's hottest properties and now he will be bringing his talents to MCW. Citizen X will be participating in a tournament to crown the first ever Music City Champion. He will be facing off against "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota at the Ready to Rock show.. Citizen X is known for being a skilled high-flier, but he is even more known for his persona. X is a known anarchist, who will do anything to destruct establishment. He has a way with the people in the crowd, which will make them either love his philosophy or hate the person he is. Citizen X will bring a lot of excitement to Music City Wrestling's first show, Ready to Rock.

Jean Cattley

"Mean" Jean Cattley is considered the most distinguished wrestler to ever come out of Mid Atlantic. Being a multi-time Mid Atlantic Champion, Cattley has the ability to go out there and get the gold. He has the demeanor and the technical ability to get the job done in the ring. He will also be participating in the tournament at Ready to Rock. His first round opponent will be "The Slick Pimp Daddy" Ernie Turner, but looking into the second round, Cattley's potential opponent could be Fumihiro Ota or Citizen X. Either way, Cattley will surely be getting the attention of the Music City audience come Ready to Rock.

Mostly because I just can't see a ninja main eventing in the old school "Nashville" style promotion that I'm seeing this as.

Finals:

RDJ vs. Griffith vs. Cattley

Call me nuts, but with a badly beaten RDJ, I'm gonna go with Jack Griffith winning the title. Ok, I'm nuts.

MCW Ready to Rock

Saturday, Week 4, January 2010

Live from Nashville Fairgrounds (South East)

Audience: 1,256

________________________________

The show gets started with a little music from local Southern rock band, Slim Pickens. Music City Wrestling must be trying to really get over with the Nashville crowd by providing live music with wrestling. The music stops and out comes Ricky Dale Johnson...

Ricky Dale Johnson

Welcome everybody to Music City Wrestling and this is Ready to Rock! A few months back some things went down that weren't great...to say the least. I was let go from my job and had nowhere to go. Pieces started to be put together and now here we are. I can't entirely say I'm proud of how things worked out, but without that we wouldn't be here today. However, I can say that I will take pride in giving this Nashville crowd and the entire world something they have never seen before. Now, everybody knows what is about to go down tonight. There will be a tournament that will decide the first ever Music City Champion, and yes, I will be a part of it. I don't want to get too arrogant, but who would make a better champ than me? That is why I will become the first tonight! Let me ask you one question. Nashville, are you ready to rock?!

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Hugh de Aske

  • This was a great way to start off the show and Music City Wrestling. Great Action!
  • Although Hugh de Aske doesn't have the experience, he was able to hang in there with the gritty veteran.
  • After an intense battle in the first round of the tournament, Ricky Dale Johnson wins after hitting the Southern Justice.

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Citizen X vs. Fumihiro Ota

  • The crowd was expecting a lot more action out of these to guys. They just couldn't seem to get it started.
  • It is hard to say who controlled the match, because both men got in a good amount of offense.
  • Fumihiro was able to get the upper-hand and was able to hit the Ninja Strike for the victory.

Fumihiro Ota def. Citizen X via Pin-fall at 12:32: 48

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Brendan Idol vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

  • Two of the younger and more inexperienced talents going head-to-head here.
  • The match had some good pace, but with two wrestlers the crowd wasn't familiar with, the match didn't go so well.
  • West was able to lock in the Recon Wrench, regardless of Kali Fornia's attempted interference, and got the win.

Sgt. Bubba Lee West def. Brendan Idol via Submission at 11:51: 40

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

The Big Problem vs. Gregory Henn

  • Power against intelligence in this one. The Big Problem being a brick-house and Henn knowing all there is to know about wrestling.
  • This match might have seemed like a good one early, but The Big Problem started to use his size and that was all she wrote.
  • The Big Problem brought a quick end to this match when he hit Gregory Henn with his patented Chokeslam.

The Big Problem def. Gregory Henn via Pin-fall at 8:08: 41

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Ernie Turner vs. Jean Cattley

  • "The Slick Pimp Daddy" was no match for "Mean" Jean Cattley in this first round bout.
  • Jean was able to wrestle circles around Ernie, who isn't known for his skills in the ring.
  • "Mean" Jean grabbed the victory after he rolled up a confused Ernie Turner for the pinfall victory.

Jean Cattley def. Ernie Turner via Pin-fall at 9:19: 30

First Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Jack Griffith vs. Ford Gumble

  • At the beginning of the match there seemed to be a mutual respect between the two Southern veterans. That didn't last long...
  • Jack Griffith and his evil ways ended up getting the best of Ford Gumble. "Southern Justice" pulled out all the stops to beat Gumble.
  • The match concluded in a dirty fashion when Jack Griffith gave Ford Gumble a low-blow when the referee's back was turned.

Jack Griffith def. Ford Gumble via Pin-fall at 15:54: 49

Second Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Ricky Dale Johnson vs. The Big Problem

  • The next round of the tournament kicked off with RDJ taking on The Big Problem, and it was intense while it lasted.
  • It seemed as if Ricky didn't have a solution for the problem, that problem being his opponent's power.
  • The Big Problem used his strength to his advantage throughout the whole match, but it wasn't enough.
  • RDJ was able to use his experience to pace the match for himself while tiring out The Big Problem.
  • Ricky Dale Johnson pulled-off an out of nowhere Southern Justice and got the win in the second round.

Ricky Dale Johnson def. The Big Problem via Pin-fall at 10:02: 53

Second Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Jean Cattley vs. Fumihiro Ota

  • The technical match-up that everyone was looking forward to, but it didn't live up to the hype.
  • The match dragged on because there were a lot of rest holds. It was pretty obvious that both men were tired from their match before.
  • These two guys really didn't have much left in the tank, but there were able to string together some good spots.
  • It seemed like "Mean" Jean had it in the bag and was going to punch his ticket to the finals of the tournament, but...
  • Fumihiro Ota hit the Ninja Strike out of nowhere on Cattley and picked up the win. The move surprised everyone in the building, maybe even "Super Ninja" himself.

Fumihiro Ota def. Jean Cattley via Pin-fall at 15:25: 44

Second Round Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Jack Griffith vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

  • This was an intense match between two of the baddest men in Music City Wrestling.
  • From the start, it seemed like Jack Griffith had some animosity towards Sgt. Bubba Lee West. This might be due to the fact that "Southern Justice" has hatred for the younger talent.
  • These two men took each other to the limit and it really got the crowd into it. There was a lot of hard-hitting from both sides.
  • Sgt. Bubba Lee West's youth advantage gave him the ability to go harder for longer, but that didn't matter.
  • "Southern Justice" got the win over Bubba Lee West when he hit the Jack in the Box on the outside. Bubba Lee West wasn't able to get back into the ring before the 10-count.

Jack Griffith def. Sgt. Bubba Lee West via Count-out at 16:04: 57

Music City Championship Match

Music City Championship Tournament

Jack Griffith vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Ricky Dale Johnson

  • The triple threat match came down to the three biggest dogs in Music City Wrestling.
  • There was an ambiance that can't really be described. All three men seemed determined to get their hands on the Music City Championship.
  • "Southern Justice" and "Super Ninja" formed an alliance early on to take out RDJ. That didn't last long...
  • Ota and Griffith began going at each other like a couple of pit bulls. Ricky Dale Johnson took this as an opportunity to get himself together.
  • All three men looked like they could have won the match, but there were so many near falls. The referee seemed like he was getting winded from all the action.
  • The action continued for a while until an opportunity showed it's face. Ricky Dale Johnson too that opportunity and hit Ota with the Soutern Justice.
  • Charlie Thatcher came out of the crowd, got up on to the ring apron and hit Ricky Dale Johnson with the title belt. Then he rolled Jack Griffith into the ring to get the win.

After the match, Thatcher hopped into the ring and started whaling on Ricky Dale Johnson. He was then joined by the new and first ever Music City Champion, "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith. A stunned crowd looked on as Thatcher and Griffith laid the boots to RDJ. No one knew why Thatcher was doing this to his best friend, or should I say former best friend. After the damage was done, Thatcher stood over the top of RDJ and spit in his face.

Music City Wrestling

Roster Addition

Charlie Thatcher

Charlie Thatcher might have made the biggest impact out of anyone at the debut show for Music City Wrestling, Ready to Rock. There was no word that Thatcher was suppose to be there or why, but nevertheless, Thatcher ruined Ricky Dale Johnson's chance to win the Music City Championship. It can be assumed now that Charlie Thatcher is working with "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith. It isn't know why Charlie Thatcher has a bone to pick with Ricky Dale Johnson, but this rivalry will sure bring some excitement to Nashville. Charlie Thatcher is big and strong, but unlike others that fit that bill here in Music City, Thatcher has experience against great opponents. Although Thatcher's first act at Ready to Rock was controversial, there is no doubt that Thatcher will be an important and interesting part of the Music City Wrestling roster.

A new month, a new show here in Music City Wrestling. February brings us Amplified, and it is guaranteed to be as good as Music City's first show. Ready to Rock brought us some great action, a big surprise, and the crowning of our first Music City champion. Amplified should be much of the same in the best way possible. There are some great match-ups planned for the show, and also, the crowning of the first Music City Tag Team Champions. There should also be some fallout from Ready to Rock's main-event, which saw Charlie Thatcher screw Ricky Dale Johnson out of the Music City Championship. It seems the guy who did win the title, "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith, is in-cahoots with Thatcher. This month Griffith is going to have to face the music as he takes on RDJ.

Last month at Ready to Rock, we saw Ricky Dale Johnson, "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith, and "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota face-off for the right to be named the first Music City Champion. It was a good match that culminated with something controversial. Ricky Dale Johnson's former best friend, Charlie Thatcher, got involved and cost Ricky the match. After, he and Jack Griffith proceeded to attack Johnson. It can be assumed that the two are working together, but no one knows why Thatcher would turn on his best friend like that. Well this month, "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith will be going head-to-head with Ricky Dale Johnson in non-title action. There is sure to be a lot of tension between the two. Johnson looks to get vengeance for his lost title and the beating he had at the hands of Griffith and Thatcher at Ready to Rock.

Last month did see the crowning of the first champion in Music City Wrestling history. This month will see the crowning of two more as the Music City Tag Team Championship will be on the line in an intense match consisting of three teams. One team that will be participating is Ekuma and Apollo, The Island Boys. They will be going against The Brave Ones, comprised of Running Wolf and Soaring Hawk, and a team that has not been revealed yet. Word around the locker-room is that the guys are experienced and have a tendency to use "dirty" tactics". Outside of that, there is nothing else that can be said about the team, but this match will surely be a great way to kick off tag-team action here in Music City Wrestling.

At Ready to Rock, we saw some representatives of Mid Atlantic Wrestling compete in the tournament to crown the Music City Championship. At Amplified, we will see another MAW import go up against one of MCW's best. It will be "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota go one-on-one with a legacy, Jay Chord. Yes, Rip Chord's son, Jay Chord will be wrestling in a Music City Wrestling ring. It is being said around the world of wrestling that Jay has the potential to become as great as his dad, if not better. The youngster has to face one of Music City's best wrestlers in Ota, though. This match should be great and should really get the crowd excited. These two men are both exceptional workers and should put on one of the better matches on the card.

Amplified is jam-packed with action throughout the card. The matches mentions aren't the only ones going on. The Big Problem will be going against the veteran, Ford Gumble. Sgt. Bubba Lee West will be taking on "Trademark" Thomas Morgan in his Music City debut. In another debut, Stan "The Man" Manna is going against "The Savant of Wrestling" Gregory Henn. Last but not least, "The Teen Dream" Brendan Idol will be going against someone who impressed a lot of people last month at Ready to Rock, Hugh de Aske. These matches should be very complimentary to the others mentioned. Amplified assures to pick-up where Ready to Rock left-off, so be sure to grab tickets and come to the Nashville Fairgrounds the last Saturday of the month for some great wrestling action!
