JT Money 4.0 - Real World Mod

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to this.

Sengoku is also probably dead since there are no words about them and having 1 less organisation would speed things up.

Already closed Sengoku down and added Legend FC. Will likely close down Cage Force and Valkyrie as well.

<p>Looking forward to the release of this even though I won't be able to use it for awhile. Want to combine this with my current game that I have going but I have a few more game years before I'm at 2011. Wish you could export your entire game so that I could keep all records (event, title, individual fights, etc.). Don't know if that's being looked at for the next installment but it should be. </p><p> </p><p>

More on to the reason I'm posted. Where is it. I can't wait to snoop around at all the stats. Upload please <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

What is the current count of fighters by weight classes. More importantly I'm looking for the total of fighters currently in the bantamweight, flyweight and female flyweight (including fighters like Megumi Fujii who fight in a lower weight class then that)

200 bantamweights

59 flyweights

15 115 and under

32 women flyweights

48 115 and under

Pretty excited to see what happens with Floyd now that he's debuted. I'm running Jungle Fight so I can't sign him yet. Hopefully UFC picks him up.

You got that far already?!?! That was the only "surprise" I slipped into the mod. I'm curious to see how he does too. I did minimal simming involving him and it was all over the place in the quick match. It will be interesting to see how he does with a random potential rating within a game.

I'm just starting so I'll be sure to comment more in detail as I go through some cards. The first thing I noticed coming in (and again, this is just healthy critism), is that reputation is perhaps a little high. For example, #25 on the P4P list if Joseph Benavidez with 95% reputation. Considering that anything over 90% is a qualifier for Hall of Fame, I'd say you might be giving some rather high reputation scores.

If you look at the default data, you'll only see maybe 3-6 people at or above 90% at any given time. I always saw 90% as like...unstoppable future hall of famers (even Hassan Fezzik in the default data starts out at like 98%, with 25 fight win streak) But you have a ton of people up that high, to the point that it doesn't feel...special when somebody obtains a high reputation score. When you've got someone who is coming off of one win (like Vitor, for example) being 3% behind the likes of Anderson Silva, it feels a bit unbalanced.

The same thing stands for the performance statistic, but that's another monster entirely.

Again, this is just my personal opinion. I know that I can very easily go in and edit things myself, and I likely will. But I wanted to throw my two cents out there to see if you understand where I'm coming from.

The reason the reputation and aura stats are so high on some fighters is because the game entirely bases the rankings off those two stats alone (as far as I know). I wish everything else did factor into it, but I tried to get the starting fighter rankings accurate and I had to raise those stats to do so. I think it would be perfect if the rankings were based off of all of the fighter's stats and also his fight history. I'm not sure how difficult it would be for Adam to do things that way (but I suspect pretty difficult).

Yeah, I actually like that you scaled reputation the way you did. As much as I like Modern Warriors, and I really do, it's nice that this mod plays differently from it, and that's one of the reasons.

Not that this helps my case any, but I believe that current momentum also plays a factor, and also how long ago someone fought. (Off topic, but I had the #1 P4P guy in another save game not fight for like 3 years and he fell down to #4, despite still being way higher in rep and aura). Though, like I said...none of that helps my case.

I still disagree with having the reputations stats up so high, but I can see your reasoning. And, like NapDaddy said, I'm sure the game will play differently because of it, so I will have to play it out and see how things go. I can say that the pictures are certainly more pleasing to the eye then other mods I've seen.

Anyway, I didn't mean to sound like a downer. You've clearly put hard work into this and I appreciate it. I will certainly benefit, so I owe you nothing but thanks.

I've just started playing after taking some time to look around and I have to say, it's an amazing, amazing mod, JayT! Your rosters are more accurate than I have ever seen in any WMMA mod so far (which is no slight to anyone else). Great job! All available thumbs up!

One thing I noticed is that Aaron Rosa is assigned to the UFC Light-Heavyweight division in the mod while his only actual UFC fight was at heavyweight. I'm not sure if he might be dropping to 205, though, so this may actually be accurate.

As far as the reputation thing goes... maybe you could look into lowering the reputation of everyone in the game (except for Anderson and GSP, who are obviously supposed to have 100%) and perhaps increase their aura instead. The way I understand it, aura is supposed to be a more short term value, so guys like Jon Jones and Jose Aldo should probably have 100% aura but not quite as much reputation yet. But it's just a thought.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, Rosa's next fight is at LHW against Fabio Maldonado. As far as reputation/aura, it's a work in progress. It's really unrealistic that rankings are based off of these two stats when in reality, it is based off of a fighter's performance and fight history, so in a sense I need to manipulate those numbers to get the rankings I want.

I read about the Rosa/Maldonado fight literally minutes after I posted here, so yeah, obviously that's how it should be. I did notice some other UFC fighters who are not assigned to the divisions they have their next fights booked in, however. I wrote them down (all according to wikipedia):

Dongi Yang is at 205 in the mod, but should be at 185 (next fight against Court McGee)

Vagner Rocha should be at 155 (next fight against Cody McKenzie)

Lance Benoist should be at 170 (next fight against Matt Riddle)

Clay Harvison should be at 170

Mike Lullo is dropping to 145 for his next fight

Paul Taylor should be at 155

Vaughan Lee should be at 135

There's also two I noticed in Strikeforce

Virgil Zwicker headlines against Lorenz Larkin, he should be at 205

Amanda Nunes is dropping to 135 for her next fight

I hope that helps you out. I'm still amazed by the sheer volume and detail of your mod and I'll try and help you as best I can by pointing out some little things that might have slipped through the cracks.

Good mod. The only problem I think that needs to be addressed is that there aren't any relationships in the file. I just had One FC book Igor Gracie vs Gregor Gracie in my game and it just doesn't feel right...

I hear ya. I didn't focus on relationships yet. I think in a future update the only relationships I'll add are family so we don't end up with a Gracie vs. Gracie or Diaz vs. Diaz. Thanks for the feedback.

So I've been playing through your mod (with my exported C-Verse data) and I have to say that its awesome. I'm assuming you had to pick for time reasons to do one thing or another. Like no bio's so you could make sure that all the fight records were correct. Not that that is an actual example but I think that your efforts were better spent than other mods (no offense to Modern Warriors or other). I definitely think it paid off. This is probably the most accurate mod I've played in all my years of playing WMMA. And I fully understand why you had to put Rep and Aura so high. That's a flaw with the game and now your mod. There's no way to accurately make the P4P accurate. It changes weekly after the game starts which is his is totally unrealistic. I like that it constantly update but when Jon Jones wins 1 match in game than become the #1 P4P without GSP or Silva losing or putting on a bad performance than something needs to be fixed about the system. All in all, great mod and keep up the good work.
