Hi everybody

Lots of news in the real world:

I’m currently on gardening leave before starting a new job
I’m in the middle of moving house
I’ve got a baby on the way

So it’s a weird combination of lots of free time but loads of stuff to be sorting out that can descend in an instant.

Whilst I’ve got any time at all I’ll be updating this as I’ve been playing TEW a bit recently but obviously my time is a bit random.

Same rules apply as always – if anyone wants to predict the next show will be up sometime today.

Facing them are four good workers who through a lack of experience or exposure haven’t quite scaled the heights this year in 21CW. Can numbers overcome big names?

Leo had a bad month or two going so I assume that it will continue here.

Jonathan Faust & Pitbull brown vs. K’Lee Hawkins, Menace, Petey Barnes & Wade Orson

Two heels being in 2 vs. 4 situation is rather tricky to predict espesially here when those two aren´t allies. On the other hand none of their opponents aren´t big names but they aren´t complete jobber either.... I go with Faust + Brown as they are more over but I could see this going either way.

Snaptime vs. Pride

Tough one espesially since there are already other teams in tag title hunt... I go with Pride since it´s non-title but I wouldn´t be surprised if the champs take this one.

Grey Angel vs. Johansson

Another hard one, not sure where Angel stands in terms of push but I go with DQ win either via RJS interfering or simply by Johansson not following the rulues.

Adam Matravers vs. Mr Evilness

Bigger name.

The ref can’t get Johansson to stop and soon has to DQ the big Scandinavian but the damage is already done. Eddie and joss are of course a great team as well as being individual stars and Stoat and Leo are amongst the most experienced and dirty hands in the business. The fight rages on with no one able to gain the upper hand until Business is suddenly halted by a knee injury. It’s clear the big man can barely move but Leo and Stoat manage to isolate him from tagging out as they lay a despicable beating on the injured man. Business seems seriously hurt but just as it’s certain he will be pinned manages one last lunge across the ring to get Joss into the match. The American manages to catch a shocked Stoat and hit a lightning fast Clean-Cutter for a win from nowhere! Leo is indeed struggling a bit. His spot under Kathleen is definitely in danger. Good argument for Pride but snaptime are pretty efficient (and enable good grades). Joss and Adam have been quite distant to each other but they work well here tonight. On the other side Rolling Johnny Stones is always a joy to watch as he links moves so well and intuitively and Luke Cool is a huge talent waiting to break out. The match is real give and take and at one point breaks out into the crowd before Stones manages to hit a flying Hurricanrana that smashes Adam into the ringside. It seems like that will be enough to finish the match but Joss Thompson simply pours his heart into the match to exhort Adam back up. Yet again we see Joss has the most willpower in wrestling and it’s the American that takes control as he makes Stones tag out and destroys Luke Cool finishing the match with a Clean Cutter. Snaptime may not be the most dynamic or progressive team but their no-nonsense, brutal style certainly gets results as the Tag titles prove.

Hot Stuff are only recently ex-champs and they’re still one of the slickest teams in the country. Winning the titles back would surprise no one.

ELIMINATION are the wildcards here though. Physically they can be dominant but can they focus enough and compete with the subtlety (read: cheating) of Hot Stuff and the technique of Snaptime?

Stones took the UK Title earlier in the year and has since spent most of his time drinking, partying, enjoying groupies and avoiding defending the title. Now he’s stuck in the ring with 3 other men does he have the fortitude left to defend the belt?

Grey Angel was the last man to be champ. His mission to judge sinners is an obsession but surely there’s also room for revenge in his broken mind?

Adam Matravers has promised to win every title in 21CW. He captured the tag titles with Ricky Storm earlier in the year. Can he take the UK Title now he’s Extreme after getting back on the Red Bull?

Mr Blood is quite a new 21CW face but he’s been very dangerous with the backing of the brain-eating Night Terrors. Blood is certainly no one to take lightly and is (in and out of the ring) simply a dangerous man.

Anarchy has put this trophy forward as a way to validate his beliefs – namely that rules are made to be broken and that chaos is the way to run a modern society. He’ll be the first to say that the unpredictability of a match like this is what makes it great but there are some dangerous men in it against him.

War machine has proved to be a dangerous man even if he’s a little too young to really take on the big names. Can anyone else in the match hope to eliminate the monster?

K’Lee Hawkins is a 21CW stalwart who has tasted success before. Some have been surprised he’s even in this match but the Geordie bin-man will certainly be a fan favourite.

Wade Orson is an amazing athlete, Energy Punk is fuelled by something more than adrenaline and guile and Lionheart has been making great strides under the mentoring of Dragon. This match really could go anyway.

Snaptime is still quite new as champ so I go with them.

I think that this is between RJS and Matravers as Matravers still has that want all titles in a year storyline. I do believe that Adam will get the UK title during the year but the question is do he get it now or later. I go with now in order to give him time to race the main belt as that should take some time.

No. Somehow the older man manages to recover from the hold through what looks like determination, grit and bloody-mindedness. Grey Angel seems pretty majestic here as the slim man takes to the air as often as possible against the brutal brawler. Unfortunately for him Ripper is tough and never quite battered down hard enough to take the fall. Stones and Matravers is a far more compelling affair as both men have such great technique and wide arsenals of moves. Matravers seems to be slightly stronger fuelled as he is by taking swigs of Red Bull from Phoebe whenever possible but Stones is no mug and manages to use guile here as he helps break a hold on Grey Angel. Mr Blood is furious and storms up to discover Matravers standing there. The Night terror unleashes a huge assault and as everyone else is transfixed Stones rolls Grey Angel up with a handful of tights for an undeserved win. In a match that had some good action and average heat, Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Adam Matravers, Grey Angel and Mr Blood in 11:48 when Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Grey Angel by pinfall with a handful of tights. The Rock Chick is wearing an especially short skirt tonight and beckons Jay over as GENOCIDE and Nigel are locked together. Pretty stupid of him obviously as Kathleen unleashes a swift kick in the crotch that enables a lightning tag from Merle and a sneaky win to retain the belts. In a match that had some good action and average heat, Snaptime defeated Hot Stuff and ELIMINATION in 12:30. During the match we also had Kathleen Lee attack Jay B. Snaptime make defence number 2 of their 21st Century Tag Team titles. Business makes the early running as he uses a series of punches to put Leo on the ropes and then hits a big sidewalk slam. Leo manages to escape a near-fall and counters with a leg-sweep that leads to a rollup that almost wins the match. The match continues in the same vein with both parties looking strong until Kathleen Lee gets involved in a match for the 2nd time tonight. She enters the ring and confronts Business – only to whirl and slap Leo hard. Price is so shocked he just stands there with his jaw hanging open and Jones seizes the moment to grab Leo in a huge bear hug and launch his trademark belly-to-belly suplex. A quick 3 count later and Leo Price is on his way out of 21CW. In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Business Jones defeated Leo Price in 13:37 after a Belly To Belly Suplex. When I bought it almost 5 years ago 21CW was just a travelling ring and some half-baked ideas. And now we go out live to the whole country every week showcasing the finest, most innovative, toughest fighters this country has ever seen. “And Dunton hall thinks he should be running it. If all you fans believe that then fine. I’ll leave. But I don’t think that’s the case. I think that you want this company to have a heart. To stand for passion and life and excitement over being a spread sheet run by an accountant. To have people like Joss Thompson who loves this business fighting for you every week rather than slimy cheats like Jonathan Faust wearing the belt. “I’m here tonight to make that happen. Along with joss and Eddie Cornell I’m going to prove that Dunton Hall can be beaten and his reign can be ended and this company can again be the one that you fans want. This isn’t my company. It’s yours. And tonight we fight together. ”Tonight’s match is an elimination bout. Anyone who taps, is knocked out or is pinned will be out of the match. Jeff, Joss and Eddie get great receptions and Faust, Johansson and Stoat are roundly booed as they make insulting gestures to the fans. Joss and Stoat start off in the ring together and instantly the match comes alive as they rapidly speed around the ring hitting each other relentlessly. Johansson gets in the match and uses his power well but Nova tags in and actually manages to lift the big Norwegian off his feet with a suplex. Johansson recovers though to boss the much older man around the ring and Eddie Cornell has to come in fresh. Eddie uses his Cornell-trademark technique/physicality combination to actually pin Johansson after a Black Lightning Bomb. Stoat enters the match afterwards and joss Thompson tags back in to face him for the second time. They’re a great combination but with the cord bellowing on his side Joss manages to pin Stoat after a big backbreaker. That leaves Joss backed up with two men facing just Faust but the 21CW World Champ isn’t intimidated. He simply instructs Stoat and Johansson to assault the opposite corner leaving him alone with the legal man – now Eddie Cornell. A nasty little scuffle later and Faust manages to hit Eddie with a Devil’s Drop to eliminate him. Joss Thompson storms back into the ring but too fast. Faust catches the American with a spinning elbow to the jaw that knocks Joss spark out. From a two-man advantage Faust is suddenly back on equal terms with a man 10 years his senior and coming off a serious injury. Faust and Nova are in many ways the old and the new 21CW and they go at each other like chainsaws. No pauses, no taking breaths. Just unleashed fury and frustration. In a match like that though Faust is playing into Nova’s hands. The older Scot might not be as young as he used to be but there’s no arguing with him as a power athlete and power wins this match as he lifts Faust above his head and with a burst of superhuman strength throws the champ clear out of the ring where he crumples unconscious in a heap leaving Jeff Nova as the last man standing. In a superb bout that had great wrestling and a sizzling crowd, Joss Thompson, Eddie Cornell and Jeff Nova defeated Steve Stoat, Johansson and Jonathan Faust in 25:29; Johansson was eliminated first, then Steve Stoat, then Eddie Cornell, then Joss Thompson, and finally Jonathan Faust.
