Ockbald
CURRENT STATUS: Kcoll Working on Misc characters and teams Dead Celeb working on Age of Apocalypse Ockbald working on Modern Cosmic Marvel Hive working on 91's X-men STATS GUIDELINES Average human = 250. 2* human = 450 Peak human (Black Panther, Captain America) = 600 50 tonner (Ms. Marvel) = 750 100 tonner (Wonder Man, Collusus) = 800 100+ tonner (Hulk, Thor, Sentry etc) 850 Thanos = 900 Celestials, Skyfathers = 950 Gentlemen CBH is out, and it's a really fun game. More importantly, it has powerful mod tools that allow to truly make characterful characters, by the means of the relationship, personality and dialogue systems. It is however, a little more complex than making say, a worker in TEW or a fighter in WMMA. So I propose the idea of "Core" mods. A "core" would be a small fraction of the universe where the user would research and take his time representing the character, adding his dialogue options, researching past relationships and powers and letting it rip. For this particular mod, "Modern Marvel", I feel we should focus in the end of the Age of Heroes, emcopassing the Annihilators, Spider-Island, Schism Fear Iself and other major events of the year. Selecting a particular time to mod characters would make things go smooth with the "Core" mod system, because it allows for different mod makers work on unrelated characters but drawing from the same source, making the universe more organic (As much organic as you can get with a super hero universe I mean ) The following cores are needing people to work on: Mutant Core (Schism, Uncanny X-Force, X-Factor, etc.) Cosmic Core (Annihilators, Thanos Imperative) - Ockbald World Greatest Heroes Core (Avengers, Secret Avengers, New Avengers, Fear Itself, the Fearless, Battle Scars, Avengers Academy) Individual Core (Black Panther, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Hercules, The Hulk) Mystic Core (Asgard, Thor, Doctor Strange, etc.) Currently I'm looking for people interessed in the idea of one large Modern Marvel mod. Feel free to discuss the idea and more cores on this thread. More people can work on a single core, you will just have to communicate with yourselves and share the workload. Ockbald
That's actually a really good list you got there KColl and I know you got your own thing going on. However, do you mind to share some of your data for this project? All I would have to do is tweak some characters to their "Age Of Heroes" incarnation and they are good to go. Which characters are you working currently? I'm mostly doing recent Cosmic Marvel.

But you might not like how I've set up stuff etc. I'm nowhere near working on cosmic stuff (ironic considering that side of Marvel has been the best stuff of the last decade), I've just finished working on Native Pride. and have done the FF, the three Avengers teams, and Heroes For Hire. I hope we can four or five people working together, otherwise this will take forever. I'm thinking no-one bar a cosmic diety (Celestials, Thanos, Galactus for example), should score over 850 - 880 in anything as a general rule). I agree, though it's a bit hard to test with the game locked. I have some pretty high power spreads for the Annihilators members but seeing how their gimmick is that they are uber strong I feel it's how best you can represent them (For instance, Quasar, Nova and Silver Surfer have a Thunderous 1 power)

Hm I'm inclined to agree with you about Quasar, however he kinda gets redundant in the team if he is just Nova Minus . I will try to see if I can recreate utility with his powers, he is all about creating constructs of energy. Of course, Nova starts my mod Deceseased, since it's right after Thanos Imperative. He is a little surplus to requirements in a team that already has Nova, Beta Ray Bill, AND Silver Surfer (all three are up there with Hulk & Thor as top non-cosmics powers). Hive
I think all us "Marvel modders" could indeed benefit from working together, in spite of the different timeframes we use. Tweaks can always be made to adjust for time periods and differences in opinions, after all, and the important thing is having something as a basis. And there's no reason for us all to re-invent the wheel. I myself will be starting out with The X-Men and their loveable mutant universe for my own mod, and you guys are perfectly free to use that work if you like (even though it's a bit older than what you guys are aiming for). Ockbald
I actually enjoy the idea of people working on different time frames, taking other modders characters and just tweaking them to their context, makes the workload much easier to everbody involved. Hive
I'd help, but I'm rubbish with stats. This site here, courtesey of Lazorbeak, is immensely helpful for something like this: http://www.classicmarvelforever.com/cast_list/all.htm Sure, it doesn't have ALL stats and attributes present in the game... but it's pretty amazing. Ockbald
Currently adding some areas, planets and dimensions to my Cosmic mod. Right now I'm in the process of giving the finishing touches to the Cancerverse, as well adding all the dead villains from Thanos Imperative in there (I really like them, plus it's a excuse to add the GALACTUS ENGINE in a mod so I'm taking that )

DeadCeleb
There's always graphics! I could, but I can't cut on a background, it'd be mostly finding pics, and also creating head shots for them. as well as I could use Hive's idea and use that site. hmm, where can i be of help? Ockbald
Are you counting Asgard & Olympus as part of cosmic? Nope. Should I?
KColl
Nope. Should I? It's a toughie. On the one hand Olympus & Asgard are defintely not Earth based (Asgard hovering over Broxton not withstanding), but Thor & Herc spend the vast majority of their time on Earth. Tough call. Another problem I see is where do you count the likes ofThanos, Galactus, Kang, Annihulus, and Blastaar etc? Yes, they're galactic, but they do spend a lot of time on or concerned with Earth. Pinke
I'd imagine most of the cosmic big bads would be cosmic people in space on hiatus of various forms, with a very rare likelyhood of travelling. IE ... cosmic and usually not around.

Ockbald
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanos is currently dead in my mod (Not that this means anything, it's cosmic Marvel ) but yes,the hiatus thingie will work with most cosmic threats with the exception of Blaastar who is the king of the negative dimension and will be semi permanent there. In other mods though he would be a hiatus guy too.
