Just got off the phone with someone at the studio, RPM followed a lead on Black Bullet, but once him and the camera crew found Black Bullet the two speedsters sped off and the crew lost them. They've just reported back to the studio, RPM & Black Bullet were heading for the warehouse district.

They've asked us not to get The Union involved. RPM is the current front-runner, if you'll pardon the pun, in the Try-Out's competition, the public favorite. If The Union go and rescue him it'll be on film and his chance will be blown. The production head has asked us to get Cactus Man and his friends in to make the save.

Cactus Man fired a Toxic Cactus Spine at Bullet, but he was gone again and the spine stuck in the side of a box. The box began to melt.

Black Bullet ran past again and hit Cactus Man with a Sprinting Kick that knocked him into some racking. As Cactus Man lay there for a second Bullet appeared in front of him.

Cactus Man fired another Toxic Catus Spine, this one hitting home. He hauled himself out of the racking as Black Bullet lay on the floor throwing up

MEANWHILE...

As Chess Master got up Wyllow went to deliver a Quarter-Staff Blow to Chess Master, but he blocked with his Cane and thrust it at Wyllow, who back-flipped out to the way.

**!!BOOM!!**

Robyn's Sonic Arrow knocked Chess Master into the wall, and her Regular Arrow pinned him to it.

Black Bullet appeared from no-where and delivered a massive Sprinting Elbow that knocked Robyn to the ground. Cactus Man jumped on him and got him in the Cactus Clutch. Robyn was still lying on the floor, but no out for the count.

He fired a Toxic Cactus Spine at Arsenic. She turned white and her mouth began to foam. She started to shake then dropped to the floor. Just to be sure Cactus Man threw a Prison of Arubanon energy net over her rocking body. She stopped rocking.

Deep Red caught Wyllow Scarlet mid Vaulting Dropkick and, using her momentum against her, delivered a massive Press Slam to Wyllow. Wyllow swung her staff round while on the floor and took Deep Red's legs from under her with a Quarter-Staff Leg Sweep. Wyllow jumped up and swung her staff down at Deep Red, but Red rolled out of the way and swung a Big Punch that Wyllow back-flipped away from. She went to deliver a Vaulting Dropkick but Deep Red swatted her feet way, picked her up and delivered another Press Slam to Wyllow

Jimmy sat in his office. It had been hard to not go on patrol for a week, but he'd made Roberta and Tegan a promise and stuck to it, the girls too busy to patrol. Sergeant Hyatt had taken some time off following her incounter so he'd been needed in the office anyway. But today she was back

As he lurched close enough Ablaze hit him with an Energy Infused Punch that knocked him to the ground. Ablaze looked up just in time and dived out of the way of Robyn's Taser Arrow. He returned fire with an Energy Blast but it bounced off a hastily thrown Cactus Man forcefield and blew a hole in the roof. Robyn took the advantage and fired off a Regular Arrow, catching Ablaze in the shoulder. He roared and charged at her. She fired another Regular Arrow that hit home next to the first, but then he was upon her. He hit her with an Energy Infused Punch that knocked her to the ground.

Robyn raised her bow again but Ablaze waved his hand and Robyn staggered, loosing her Sonic Arrow skyward and blasting another hole in the roof. Ablaze went to blast her again, but nothing happened.

As both Robyn and White Archer fired Regular Arrows at the monster it swung its tenticles and knocked White Archer down. Robyn managed to fire of a Sonic Arrow before the crature grabbed her. White Archer fired an Electric Stun Arrow at the tenticle, and the monster dropped Robyn again. Cactus Man had used this distaction to get far closer to the monster than he was comfortable with

The typical Union camera crew appeared out of the woodwork, the gathered crowd dispersed and chatted, some visited the free catering van. They'd obviously been hired extras. Someone ran over to White Archer with a towel and a CostBucks coffee while someone else asked Cactus Man and Robyn to sign the usual release forms for the footage of them. As they handed the forms back White Archer walked over to them.

Luckily Cactus Man, momentarily shocked by the flurry of action, threw a forcefield that protected Robyn from the blow. Wyllow smashed Wavebreaker in the back with her Quarter-Staff, Wavebreaker turned around and got hit in the back by one of Robyn's Taser Arrows, Wavebreaker spun back around and got hit in the back by a Vaulting Drop-Kick from Wyllow Scarlet. She staggered and turned back to Wyllow, Wyllow dived to the side just as Robyn fired a Sonic Arrow at Wavebreaker

**!!BOOM!!**

Wavebreaker was knocked to the ground.

She looked inside the room, the chair and table were splinters, the one-way mirror wall into the ajoining empty supervision room was smashed and Hulabaloo slumped in the hole, bleeding profusely.

A thug in a black tshirt with a pistol in his belt got out of the driver's door of the car. The rear of the van slid up and ten heavy set workmen climbed out. The thug went the the rear door of the car and opened it. A man dressed all in red got out, looked up and down the street, smiled and walked towards the church. The thug rushed forward to open the doors, the work crew followed in behind.

Cactus Man stepped out of the shadows and walked towards the church. Two figures hidden in deeper shadow watched him walk away.

The stained glass window exploded into shards. An arrow neatly removed the gun from Rage's hand while a staff spun through the air, knocking four of the ten Demolishers out cold. Cactus Man looked up to the window.

I got a bit far behind (as you know) so I have just read the entirety of Volume 2 in one sitting. Absolutely fantastic. Storylines are excellent, the character development is exceptional and the use of the new IV+ characters was done very well too (The Try-Outs in particular is a fantastic idea!).

Can't wait for the series finale!

Robyn notched a Sonic Arrow and blew out the window, then fired a line up into the wall and swung onto the window ledge, Wyllow swung herself up as well. Quickly seeing what was about to happen Robyn fired a Regular Arrow that took the gun from the thug's hand while Wyllow launched her Quarter-Staff, the stout wood spinning through the air and knocking four Demolisher out cold. Cactus Man looked up, then grinned.

Still smiling, Cactus Man turned to the Instrument of Rage as he shook from the impact of the Taser Arrow.

Robyn fired a Regular Arrow which took down one of the Demolishers. Another Demolisher snuck up behind her and swung his Baseball Bat at her head. Luckily Cactus Man saw it in time and threw a forcefield to protect her. Wyllow lunged at the Demolisher with her Taser, and he went down.

Cactus Man, Robyn Hood and Wyllow Scarlet burst through the door at the top of the stairs. The room beyond was bathed in red light, demonic symbols decorated the walls and the alter at the other end of the room. Sulphur was knelt at the alter. The turned to them.

Cactus Man dodged the blow. Robyn jumped back and fired a Regular Arrow that caught Sulphur in the leg.

As he bent over to pull out the arrow Wyllow launched herself at the villain to deliver a Vaulting Dropkick, but misjudged and sailed over him, landing hard on her back

Sulphur looked at her and laughed. He straighted up, turned, and got hit in the face by Cactus Man's Energy Charged Punch. He landed by a huge stained-glass window. Robyn notched a Sonic Arrow and fired

Unfortunately Sulphur dived out of the way at the last second and the sonic boom only took out the window. Wyllow ran towards the villain, Sulphur put his hand into a pouch on his belt and pulled out a silver ball. He threw the Poison Gas Bomb at the ground in front of Wyllow, she began to choke

Cactus Man fired a volley of Cactus Evergy Spines at Sulphur, while Robyn fired off two Regular Arrows in quick succession. Sulphur dropped to one knee, Cactus Man and Robyn walked towards him. He jumped up and swung a Kick at Robyn's head, but Cactus Man erected a forcefield to stop the blow. He flailed a Punch at Cactus Man but before the blow could connect he began to convulse. Cactus Man looked down and saw Wyllow lying there with her Taser pressed against Sulphur's ankle.

As they turned a great wind blew up, sucking them towards the vortex. Cactus Man grabbed the alter with one hand and Robyn's hand with the other. Wyllow, who was closer to the vortex, held on to one of the stone benches while her body flailed in the air, legs pointing towards the vortex. Robyn's feet left the floor, she held on to Cactus Man's hand.

Cactus Man stared at the body. Then pain ran through his body, it felt like his insides were on fire!

I honestly don't know yet. It was a cool issue, but kind of a downer what with Robyn and Wyll out of commission theoretically. Looking forward to seeing if there's any more, and what happens next.

That's totally fair enough. I've had to re-write this message roughly 8 times to avoid giving anything away, so I'll just leave it with:

I hope what comes next meets your (and everyone elses) requirements of awesome

Gonna take a few days to recharge my creativity and play some games. Will be the first time in a month that I've opened CBH for anything other than power lists and personallity & dialogue pointers, so that will be fun
