Enter the Dragon Combat [C-Verse Future]

Recommended Posts

First off, apologies to those who got stoked for a CommunityVerse (Board Effort Verse? What are we calling that?) diary. I'm still working on that one, but I want to get a decent ways into the game and make sure I have storylines and such so it doesn't sputter out like I tend to. This game, on the other hand, I'd like to believe has legs on its own merit. Gentlemen and the occasional lady, welcome to Enter the Dragon Combat.

The hook of this game for me and hopefully for you is that all matches on the main show will feature a points system. Here are all the rules I've needed so far in regards to points:

2 points for winning a match or being on the winning team in a tag match

-1 point for losing a match or being on the losing team in a tag match

0 points for not being involved in the fall in a multi-person/team match

10 points may be exchanged for a shot at a/the Main Event title

5 points may be exchanged for a shot at a Midcard or the Women's Title

10 points total between 2 competitors may be exchanged for a shot at a/the Tag Team titles

As a stats nut, I'm hoping this keeps the game, and thusly the diary going for me. Predictions will be involved and I've got a few prizes. Right now in the data, EDC has a weekly television show and no monthly events. I will likely keep to this schedule until two workers have enough points to compete for the Main Event level title. Prediction contest winner(s) for the first month will (hopefully) help me name the titles, since I'm drawing blanks.

A few notes about this game that you should know before following it:

*While the company was founded in October 2013, the diary begins with the first show in December 2013.

*The show write-ups will probably be quite short. There's a 60 minute show with 3-4 matches and 1 angle per show, typically, and I don't want to go too in-depth.

*There will be at least 1 update every week. If I don't think I'm going to get a show up, I'll do a quick spotlight on one of the roster members.

Enter the Dragon Combat Episode 1

Week 1 December 2013

Enter The Dragon Combat debuts on National Pride TV with a big series of matches that will help determine the pecking order in EDC for quite a lot of time to come.

In the first ever Enter the Dragon Combat televised match, it's a clash of TCW School of Wrestling graduates, as class of 2011 graduate Elliot Thomas faces 2013 graduate Blackfire. Will it be "The Classic Cruiserweight" Thomas or the gothic Blackfire who gets the first 2 points in the company?

Following that, "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade makes his EDC debut as he takes on "The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez. Spade has been making waves on the independent circuit since his shocking release from SWF. On Wednesday, he brings that high level of training to the ring. Opposite him, the athletic, flashy "Dirty Dog", Jonnie Perez. Perez has shown the ability to pull off some phenomenal moves, but with his great risks can occasionally come great damage to himself. Will Perez be able to muster up the means to knock off Spade or will "The Supreme Star" keep the ball rolling on his young career?

And in the main event, another former SWF wrestler makes his debut as the flashy, high-impact "Samoan Wild Kid" Toma takes on "Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell. After the demise of DAVE, it was Powell's partner Sammy Bach who went on to the big leagues while Powell stayed on the independent circuit. Powell has stated his intent to prove he belongs in the big leagues, but will his journey begin tonight, or will it be stopped by "The Samoan Wild Kid"?

Quick Picks

Blackfire vs. "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas

"The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez vs. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade

"Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma

First off, LOVE the product. It would be great to see a real-world company run with this so that I could catch it weekly. Also, I know this isn't your first choice maybe, as you have another diary in the works, but this could certainly have some legs of it own.

Before I forget, I'm digging the 'point system' as well.

Now, onto my predictions...

Blackfire vs. "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas

I'm not entirely sure why to chose either; however, I like Blackfire's name more so. That said, this could really be a flip of the coin for me (as I don't know their stat levels).

"The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez vs. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade

Spencer has skills for days. I'm not sure where his popularity level lies at this point in his career but it's safe to say that he could have only gotten better from an in-ring perspective. I give the win to the most obviously talented of the two (and a man who could carry the company as a whole).

"Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma

I'm a HUGE Teddy Powell mark (as he's an easy sell for anyone looking to book him as the man with a 'chip on his shoulder'); however, I feel Toma fits the company as a whole better. It hurts... bad... but I'll go with Toma.

Yeah, Rayelek, I love this product too. And there's not much I can add that Eisenverse or Jingo already said about the product and point system.

However, can you even get away with angles with this kind of product? I was just curious and it also doesn't make sense to me as to how you could do angles unless you're just doing it to add flavor the diary.

Blackfire vs. "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas

Wow, not much to base on but I'm going with this pick based on age.

"The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez vs. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade

There's no question who should win this since Spade has the better skills and should easily go over.

"Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma

I do like both guys but I'm just basing this on the product since Toma practically sells the product you have more than Powell... correct me if I'm wrong but I believe so.

Angles done with main eventers have scored just fine. I'm not sure why I wanted the 80%, but the angles give me nothing to complain about. If it changes your views, I have Low Mainstream, and Very Low Heavy Realism, Risque and Hardcore. I'm not sure how much difference the low and very low product stuff matters.

Glad people like the points system too. I saw something about a points system in the Small Questions thread and went "I have to do this" and I've liked playing it so much that it's going to be a diary game, especially since I like the idea of doing a diary 3/4 years into the game. Let me know if you want any updates on the game world or specific companies, workers, etc, and I'll be glad to give you where they're at in 2014.

Fun idea Rayalek.

I'll be reading.

Blackfire vs. "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas

I know him better (ie at all)

"The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez vs. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade

Spade should probably be your big dog until he leaves

"Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma

A Samoan who isnt fearsome is less use than a chocolate teapot

Blackfire vs. "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas

He comes from TCW's school and that's my favorite promotion so have to go with Blackfire.

"The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez vs. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade

Not a fan of Perez.

"Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma

I like Teddy Powell more than Toma.

The show opens with Sara Marie York in the ring. She talks about how glad she is to be here in Enter the Dragon Combat and how she can't wait to make a name for herself all over the country. She is interrupted by Catherine Quine who runs York down, discussing how Quine beat York in AAA and would do it here too and rule EDC's Women's Division.

On the second episode of Enter The Dragon Combat, we've got a fantastic line-up for all you fans out there. In the opening contest, the gothic Blackfire makes his return to Enter the Dragon Combat television, and his opponent is luchador Angel de Mexico. The masked Angel will be participating in his first EDC match while Blackfire came up short last week versus "The Classic Cruiserweight" Elliot Thomas. Will Blackfire be able to get his first win, or will Angel de Mexico turn Blackfire's previous loss into a streak?

In our second match, we have the in-ring debut of some EDC women's wrestlers as Love Machine teams with Catherine Quine to face Sara Marie York and Jonnie Perez. Perez wasn't able to knock off Spencer Spade last week and hopes to get on the winning track as he teams with the talented York. However Catherine Quine found a partner who would be happy to be her partner, the talented Love Machine who made his debut in the pre-show last week. Which talented female will be the first to score in the Women's Division?

Before the main event, we'll see last week's main event winner "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma in action as he faces "White Angel" Frankie Dee. Dee is making his Enter the Dragon Combat debut here on our second show while Toma is already tied for number 1 in the rankings after knocking off Teddy Powell last week. Will Toma continue his roll or will "The White Angel" be able to slow down "The Samoan Wild Kid"?

And in the main event, we'll see two wrestlers who we saw last week facing off. In his second main event in as many weeks, "Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell faces off against someone who, unlike him, was a winner last week, "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade. Spade handily defeated Jonnie Perez, and hopes to keep his winning ways going, while Powell wants to begin his quest to show he belongs in the big leagues, which beating Spade would certainly go a long way towards proving. Will Powell take a huge step towards hsi goal, or will Spade continue to climb towards the top of EDC?

It seems Blackfire's job is to do so. Poor chap

Catherine Quine (0 points) & Love Machine (0 points) vs. Sara Marie York (0 points) & Jonnie Perez (-1 points)

Jonnie is too good to keep getting beat as is SMY.

"White Angel" Frankie Dee (0 points) vs. "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma (2 points)

Noone called White Angel can beat a Samoan. Unless it's Harry Wilson or Brilliant White of course

"The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade (2 points) vs. "Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell (-1 point)

Spade is the man but Ted cant keep going down. Tainted finish here for me

The show opens with Angel de Mexico in the ring, discussing in broken English how excited he is to be wrestling in the States. Blackfire's music plays over the speakers and the gothic flier comes down to the ring, mocking Angel's poor English and mask. Angel challenges him to a match, which Blackfire accepts.

http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x385/darrbot/Enter%20the%20Dragon%20Combat%20Diary/EDCbanner.jpg

http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x385/darrbot/Enter%20the%20Dragon%20Combat%20Diary/ngelDeMxico.jpgvs.http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x385/darrbot/Enter%20the%20Dragon%20Combat%20Diary/Blackfire.jpg

The Mexican patriot was on fire in this match, clearly taking offense to the remarks from the TCW School of Wrestling graduate. Blackfire tried to battle back and for a little while was in control, but his Batwing rolling DDT finisher was countered into a Northern Lights Suplex, and that was followed up quickly with the Mexican Death triple jump moonsault.

Winner: Angel de Mexico

This match was very even with both the men and the women getting their time to shine, with the women definitely looking better than the more green Love Machine and Perez. In the end, it was the athletic Perez taking out Love Machine, flipping 450 degrees into a crossbody from the top rope to the outside, leaving Quine and York in the ring. Sara sprung off the apron for the Energy Burst flying forearm, but Quine turned it into a spinning powerslam and followed up with a Cat's Cradle that garnered the 3 count.

Winners: Love Machine & Cat Quine

The athletic "Samoan Wild Kid" showed the skills that took him to a victory last week, peppering the "White Angel" with strikes and high flying offense, and keeping him off balance throughout the match, finally finishing him off with the Long Range Headbutt.

Winner: Toma

In the main event, the "Supreme Star" was on the receiving end of a brutal assault from the former DAVE Tag Team champion, who kept up the offense as he tried to stay in control of the match. However the impeccable training of Spencer Spade allowed him to catch Powell when he paused to taunt the fallen "Supreme Star" who played possum, leading to a snap Supreme Stunner for the pinfall and the win for Spade.

Winner: Spencer Spade

In week number three, Enter the Dragon Combat is still going strong as we roll into a show some huge matches. Leading off the show is the first Women's singles match in EDC, with Catherine Quine and Sara Marie York facing off against each other. Last week, Quine used a Cats Cradle to pin York for three, will the result be the same this week around?</p><p> </p><p>

Next on the card is the debut of two midcard workers, House of Stone graduate Devyn Reynaud and independent sensation Josh Jones. Jones spent years on the independent scene making waves before finally declaring himself an actual professional wrestler, while Reynaud has been picking up some tutelage from Rip Chord since his graduation.</p><p> </p><p>

Following that, the struggling "Adrenaline Rush" Teddy Powell takes on "The Dirty Dog" Jonnie Perez. Neither of these talented wrestlers has gotten a win in either of their two previous chances, but one man's winless streak will end here tonight. Which will it be?</p><p> </p><p>

And finally in the main event, after thrilling the fans in a phenomenal main event last week, Spencer Spade returns to the biggest EDC stage to face "White Angel" Frankie Dee. Last week, Frankie gave "The Samoan Wild Kid" Toma a thrilling performance, but wasn't able to come up with the victory. Will this week be different, or will "The Supreme Star" continue his roll?</p><p> </p><p>
